Privacy alert! - Xiaomi Silently Removed "Sensors off" function from Developer options from many phones- 12.0.4 - Redmi K20 Pro / Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro Guides, News, & D

Just had recently updated to latest December security patch last week, I found out that "Sensors off" - An option to turn off all sensors from Developer menu is removed. This is quite an interesting change by the company. I don't why would they remove such function? Barely any users would have been using it to begin with.
You can read more about this privacy friendly option that can disable all sensors with one toggle along with your camera here:

Maybe it's a request made to Xiaomi by the Chinese government to help crappy and unoptimized Tencent applications to more easily spy in background the phone activity?
Seriously, when you see what this governement is ready to do to track their people, I wouldn't be even surprised...
[Conspiration mode OFF]

That's why I don't like miui roms in general. I just don't really trust them. Yea, every rom via apps will spy on you, but now on stock locked miui you can't really do anything about it anymore.

My app for android

Hi Guys,
I'm building an app for android (Server Status) - it's currently in it's beta stage but would love if you would test it and suggest improvements etc.
This is your chance to get on board and contribute to an application that has been built on an X10 mini - none of this "too small screen" rubbish.
I welcome your comments and suggestions - it is a very simple application at the moment but will hopefully become something really useful to server administrators.
App Name: Server Status
Developer: Chris Priestland
Version: 1.14
It should be available for all X10 mini owners...
P.S. QR Code is in my avatar
I'm not gonna test it cause I know nothing about server, but I wish you the best for it
Well that's the beauty of this application - it just monitors the uptime of a website. It should be usable by people that know nothing about websites. So would be great if you could download it and see if it's easy to use or not.
Like i'm curious I've tested it, and wonder what "down" means. I imagine that is the status of the server, but I don't know what it's mean clearly. BTW, it's really simple to use and it's an light app that's is good too.
Glad you have tried it
Yes DOWN means that the server is not accessible via a web browser - so it shows you on the move that a website is not accessible - very useful for website developers / administrators - maybe this could be made more clear with a tick or a cross image?
Let me know your thoughts.

For people that know nothing about websites yes it could be a plus, by example just in adding a FAQ option when you press key menu, which will explain you the differents words of status.
Nice idea - will add it to my list for the update
If anyone else has any suggestions please feel free to post them here
Just installed and tested. You have a simple and easy to use app. Neat! Great Job Done.
Now, I can monitor my domain with a simple click
Glad you like it - there will be an update soon but need your suggestions for improvements.
The full version of Server Status has launched and you can get it by searching for server status on the market place or using the qr code below. It includes audio alerts, faqs, automatic updating and icons for UP and DOWN website status.

Hey nice app I've just try it on my x10 mini pro and it works well. I joined what other guys have said
I think you should upgrade it by make this app a small widget
It's just an idea.
See ya
Thanks for your suggestions - will certainly consider it. I have decided to offer this as a free application instead of a paid application.
If you have anymore idea's for this or a new project please let me know

Phonechievements is back
Phonechievements (latest version 1.35)
About
Phonechievements brings achievements to the mobile phone. For those who are gamers the concept isn't new, for those who are not, achievements are just rewards you get for accomplishing a goal. You don't get an actual prize, it's just a form of reward that you get in writing. Moreover, this app allows you to brag on Facebook with them (for now).
Open the app and navigate through the list. Each achievement has a description on how you can unlock it. Want to let everyone know how you master the phone? Share on Facebook the unlocked achievements. Just open the app and go to the achievement and a Facebook logo button will allow you to do that.
With each update new features and of course new phonechievements will be added.
If you like the idea and want to help me improve or have any suggestions for new achievements, please check it out.
The app is available for Android 2.0+. If you find any issues please let me know so I can fix them.
Thank you.

Useful implementation! Most of apps are correctly open in foreground in the smartphone/tablet after a shake.
It works fine to toggle device connections. Yes, some bugs like transfer clipboard
Good job at the moment

Yes I will squash some bugs and new implementation with Shake next week. New preview with Google Play and LG AppWorld might come next weekend.
By the way, any testers on JB? I do have devices on KitKat and Lollipop devices but no prehistoric Android versions...
Alright guys after dozens of commits and thousands of lines in code, most of the app is done. Right now only couple of stuff is pending. So apologies but I won't be releasing another preview it will be delayed till release date.
You can check my progress on G+ with some of its teases also a brand new community has been created. This thread and specially the OP will be cleansed soon too.
See you!
Everything is finished and ready for the next phase in the competition! The app is already in the play store and is being reviewed on the LG Appworld but there's no ETA. Please check the Original Post for extra information. Also please don't hesitate to join the community and help us by translating it to your main language!
By the way bear in mind that soon you'll be able to choose your favorite app, so stay HubToDate!

Hello guys! With the launch of OnePlus Bullets Wireless, OnePlus launched a feature called Earphone mode in the OnePlus 6. After some time, the same feature came to their older devices like OnePlus 5 and 5T. But sadly, OnePlus hasn't brought the earphone mode feature to their most popular devices (OnePlus 3 and 3T) yet. So me and my friend had an idea of doing something similar to it for our beloved OnePlus 3/T and here we are!
He worked on it really hard and finally made the app which functions similar to the Earphone mode. As he isn't much active here, I'm sharing the app here on his behalf. I have posted the GitHub and Google Drive links below, make sure to try it out! To your surprise, it also works with other Bluetooth Earphones and other Android smartphones. We have tested it for a long time to make it stable enough for daily use (I was his tester ). If you find any bugs, make sure to report them with a logcat! That's all we need. New features will be added soon to the app and as soon as the developer's Play account goes live, we'll shift to the Play Store releases. Till then keep an eye on this thread for the updates. And new feature requests are always welcomed, we will try to add whatever will be possible.
Steps to enable:
1. Open the app and click the enable button.
2. Give Notification access to Bluetooth Autoplay (Click allow).
3. Go back to the app and click Start Service.
4. ???
5. Profit!
Note: You need to start service after a reboot. Auto-start service option will be added soon!

Hei.. maybe this is the app that i'm searching from months!! please can you update the link or send me the apk?
This looks really interesting. What does Earphone mode do?

Question What in god's name is SMD wakeup

Hello all,
GSAM is reporting a high wake-lock under the banner SMD Wakeup. Can someone explain what it means and how to get rid of it?!!!!!
Maybe it's knox enrollment service, com.sec.enterprise.knox.cloudmdm.smdms?
I am also suffering from too many wakelocks from the Android system itself.
Naptime app by Franco the same person who makes Franco kernel manager. It's on Google Play store and can be used for free and you give it a few extra adb permissions with a pc and shizuku adb shell and boom you have better wake lock controls and more control over how android sleeps in general.

Nope...it's called Significant Motion Detection under the Doze and any SMDs come into this bracket (such as the phone moving, you moving while the phone is on you, the screen turning on due to a notification etc) the phone goes off doze and you have a wake lock. Either Samsung devs smoked something really crazy when they released this update, or Android 13 has a broken doze mode. I don't think it's the latter! The bets are open!
