Question App lock in stock s20 plus - Samsung Galaxy S20 / S20+ / S20 Ultra Themes, Apps

Hello ,
Is there any way to use app lock in a stock S20 plus?
I know that there is the secure folder but with this you hide the programs which I don't want .
I want to have an app lock to lock the applications and unlock them with fingerprint or face recognition as Xiaomi has it already
Thank you very much

+1
i want this too!!! Can someone make a xposed or magisk module, a flashable zip, anything? Even a guide would be enough. I did this in the past once, where you move the applock.apk into system apps and just edit some file in order for the applock option to come up in settings.

as far as I know that there is no such option, but I would really like it to be

You can do this with Hyperion Launcher
hyperion launcher - Apps on Google Play

play.google.com

Have you tried parental control? I haven't tried yet.

Have you tried these apps from playstore?
This one is better but it only gives you free 3 days trial. After that you must pay.

This on us not as good but is free is you don't mind ads.

I am using the Smart Applock for 2 days now. It's good but a little bit slow .
I am using the fingerprint unlock with this program but sometimes it doesn't appear and I have to put my pass code

We should concentrate on getting the official appLock Samsung app working on rooted devices and not flood this with Thread with third party alternatives that honestly all suck! I know you guys want to help but it’s not what the op asked for so in the end you guys doing the opposite.

Until samsung does something I will use a third party application .
I know that is not the best way.
I just found an Applock application that is very very very good .
It has fingerprint unlock and face unlock.
It supports face unlock only for pixel and some Samsung with Android 9 and above.
When you are in the screen of unlock the application shows the Knox sign in the Right bottom corner. I don't know if this application works with Knox but it shows that

are you going to share it with us? Or did you just mention it to flex? Why are you commenting a thousand times if you have the solution for the op’s question.

Oh ok. Then you either forget applock or maybe change your csc to a region that supports applock natively in Stock rom.

#1 the OP's question was for stock rom. Didn't mention root or unlocked bootloader.
#2 with a reply like that, it's definitely to flex.

Which email apk to use to bypass exchange security?

Does anyone know which files and procedure I can use on a rooted AT&T s3 to bypass the exchange security? I saw a few ICS ones but want to make sure it plays nice. Tried to search but didn't find anything s3 specific.
Thanks

That worked for me on the unlocked gs3. I don't see why it wouldn't work for the At&t one. Let me know if it does. If you don't have access to a computer, I can post the modified apks here.

Thank you very much. I will give this a go but I will have to wait to do it on the weekend. I will report back. For now I think the process should be ok if I have issues I may ask you to post the apks.

Thank you again. Worked very well. I am rooted with CWM and no pesky security admin. Very happy with the phone.
I have a follow-up here and I'm hoping someone can help. The stock email app is too limiting. The widget doesn't refresh. And mostly I can't setup rules and notifications based on rules. I was looking at touchdown app but they enforce the pin internally in the app. Anyone know how to hack it to not need the pin? I'm curious if anyone is using it and has a bypass to the pin.
Thanks

[App] Samsung - Application Monitor

I saw this little Samsung widget from a You Tube video. My current ROM doesn't have it, I don't recall seeing it with past ROMs either. I searched this forum and don't see it here.
I hunted it down through Twitter of all places.
Maybe it's not included on N7100 .. anyway it's tested & works fine, lightweight. It clearly tells how many apps are active, clicking it leads to your built-in Task Manager.
It's an apk, just install normally.

Cheers
This is made by Samsung and available through the the Samsung App store. They have newer release available 1.0.6
Sent from my SGH-I317M

I find Samsungs App store can be picky on the keyword, also they try to detect your device and determines weather or not it is compatible for the app. If it's not or unknown they don't display it. I think custom roms might have a issue in this regard lol.
Here's the new one.

Hi Hemant. Unless you live in New Zealand, this app won't suit you. It's a paid app by the NZ national weather service, only shows weather for NZ.
Cheers

Sorry I don't know how to get it to work on custom roms, my guess is the widget needs specifics from Samsung touchwiz roms possibly the framework that Samsung uses or could be the kernel, but I honestly have no idea.

Fingerprint App Lock on CM13/AOSP?

I really want to try CM13 or AOSP based ROM on my RN3, but before I go for it just need a simple question answered : Is App Lock based on Fingerprint supported on these ROMs?
Everywhere I searched, they just tell whether fingerprint reader is supported for phone unlocking or not, and youtube videos also only show phone unlocking, not app unlocking, via fingerprint.
SORRY - this thread belongs in the Q&A forum, could someone please move..
Youre looking for maxlock, is a xposed module that does exactly what you asking for
Thank you for the tip - and it works reliably on RN3?

Android Messages alternative

Now that we have RCS capability on Sprint and the V30 are there other messaging apps that support RCS with our phones number?
Not referring to whatsap etc but a third party chat program that supports RCS as well

[Magisk]Enable Photochrom filter for IN2020 model

This Magisk module is using system prop to trick the system into thinking it is an "IN2023" device
so it won't block the photochrom filter for "IN2020" device
If your photochrom filter is disabled, this might help.
YOU WILL NEED MAGISK FOR THIS TO WORK
Simple 2 step:
- Install Magisk
- Download & Install this module
Download: https://gofile.io/d/njpMtU
If you don't want the device be IN2023, you could change the 'fake_model' in to model you want in the 'post-fs-data.sh' file
This Magisk module is using the same method as: Enable photochrome on IN2020
Thanks kevkid for finding this.
Edit: Will not work for INT.10.5.11/EU.10.5.10 firmware, can't seem to get a fix for now, join the discussion at [Discussion]How to re-enable full Photochrom on INT.10.5.11/EU.10.5.10
it may test next night
THX...
Works fine ...
whether this module runs on version 10.5.10 ?
how to do this

I'm on 10.5.10 yes, CTS is true.
There's lots of information on rooting the 8P. Search XDA, this is not the thread for rooting.

You bought a £1000 phone for a filter that has very little purpose?
You can get a lens for a DSLR for a lot less.
**** I have a in2023 device and it's blocked

I use it for example for detecting the right positioning of photoelectric sensors at work. It was a great and convenient tool past then. And if you buy a 1000€ phone, you could expect all features to work and not get disabled because you maybe potentionally "could" see some undies. If I knew that, I'd rather go with a Mi 10 Pro.
