What's the bootloader unlock policy of Oppo? - OPPO A72 Questions & Answers

I've currently a Huawei P20 Lite but it's softbricked and it will be repaired.
But the chance is 50% that it can't be repaired anymore and that's why I look for a new phone in case my phone can't be repaired.
I searched on Google and I saw the Oppo A72 and I'm considering that phone.
I find it important that the bootloader can be unlocked for free because I will flash a custom ROM on it but I couldn't find a reliable answer on that question.
So what's the bootloader unlock policy of Oppo?
Are their phones bootloader unlockable for free or can't the bootloader be unlocked at all?

The Bootloader on the A72 cannot be unlocked at the moment and fastboot mode has limited use. So no easy commands to unlock bootloader ot flash images

Okay, for that reason I've ru!ed out the Oppo A72 from my list.
I'll order the Xiaomi Poco X3 instead

Update: I've chosen the Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite 128GB as my next phone.
However, if my sister finds it too expensive and tells me she can't order that phone then it will be the Xiaomi Poco X3. (I'm only 17 years old and I'm not allowed to order stuff on my own)

More update pls

I got my Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite 128GB on February the 15th of 2021.
I used the stock ROM (MIUI EEA Global) until June until I flashed Xiaomi.eu Weekly and I use that ROM since then.
It's now (The time I'm writing this message) more then a year ago since I got my phone and I've to say that I'm in general very satisfied with my phone and enjoy using it.
It was definitely worth it.

No current account. i have saving account.:fingers-crossed:
Even i am facing the same issue & nobody is there to help
there is no fix yet, one worthwhile process is to wait, at least 5 days, thats what MIUI says. Try unlock bootloader unofficially
I don't if this is a solution or not but it worked for me. Create another mi account. Then apply permission from that account. Then wait for 4-5 days. And try unlocking from the new account.
I tried contacting MIUI Support on all channels (Global, Malaysia, India etc.) and only Global Support admitted that its a bug. They asked me to post on MIUI Forums so I did. Still no fix. Had to unlock it unofficially.
Can u tell me which unofficial method u used ? I seriously need to unlock mine and there is no success at all
You must inserted SIM card which jou unlocked this device.
Yes facing this issue for the last 1 year and no solution by xiaomi for kenzo.
I was having the same problem. Finally decided to unlock unofficially(lost all of my data)

unlocking bootloader

I just want to know is anyone still able to unlock bootloader of redmi note 3 in official way
No... RIP kenzo ... Only working method is unofficial way.
+1
How does the unofficial bootloader method work? The reason for me asking is because there's so many conflicting reports of success, with some users bricking their phones in the process.
Also, in June 2018, I've managed to unlock my Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 phone officially, so what's happened since then that caused it to no longer become officially unlockable? I suspect that it is unjust a case of Xiaomi officially giving up support for that device.

Flashing China Rom

Hi folks.
I have a Mi 8 Lite global pack.
I alreday unlocked it's bootloader. but i don't want to my phone be unlocked anymore.
So, since people say China rom is better than global. I interested to flash china rom and lock my bootloader
Is this possible to do it? without any soft or hard break?
What about China Beta rom? Can i flash it in this case?

As far as I know you can´t cross the firmware before to unlock device and in your case when you unlocked it you can flash any of both but you can´t relock it over the crossed firmware or you could brick it.
If you want to wait that someone that tried it can confirm it but I read that some users bricked due to this.

Will I receieve OS updates if I convert China Version Mi 10 to Global Version?

I'm planning on buying Mi 10 from China, then convert it into Global Rom / EU Rom. Does anyone know if flashing global rom will allow the device to receieve auto updates on the OS? Also will I be able to relock the bootloader after flashing the global rom?
Has anyone tried this? Thank you!
If you lock bootloader with Global rom your device will brick.
Flash global rom without lock. You can receive updates without any problems.

Can't update to MIUI 12

Hi,
I am a first time Xiaomi user and just got the Mi 10 Global version. I tried manually installing the official global MI 10 Miui 12 ROM, but the update failed as it couldn't be verified. Please take a look at the screenshots..
I can't update it via fastboot neither, as my bootloader is locked and Xiaomi wants me to wait for 168 hours (7 days!) to try again.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Don't update the **** miui 12

Because it is a Vodafone branding. You have to wait till Vodafone release the update.

So the VF at the end of MIUI version number means Vodafone?
If that's the case I might as well go and unlock my bootloader, flash the unbranded global rom and relock the bootloader.
Do I loose anything by unlocking and relocking the bootloader? I had Samsung phones before, where unlocking the bootloader would trip Knox and invalidate your warranty.

Yes VF is Vodafone branding. If you unlock bootloader you will loose your data. So make a backup.

So in the end I flashed it with Xiomi Tool V2 and I didn't need to unlock the bootloader.
