I'm an absolute noob, I've got to the point where twrp is installed, wiped the cache etc.. trying to install the lineageos 17.1 rom and getting 'Error 1' installation failed... I can't find error 1 on google, only error 7 and 4...
Device is a Xiaomi Mi A2 lite, and I have downloaded the appropriate rom for that device from AndroidFileHost.com
any help appreciated... cheers
On further Googling, it appears I need to flash boot.img ... any ideas where to find this.. Not in the ROM .zip folder as suggested???

Hey guys,
Running a rooted oneplus x with latest cyanogenmod (CM) nightly installed. I tried updating the latest nightly and got the following error:
updater process ended with ERROR: 7
Error installing zip file '/external_sd/cm-13.0-20161101-NIGHTLY-onyx.zip'
- I had CM recovery installed, and was getting the same error.
- I tried to update the CM recovery but I get the same error.
- I managed to install TWRP 3.0.2.0 recovery, and still no luck. Same error.
- Tried installing the latest Oxygen OS (downloaded from their site) and still same error.
- As per other forums, I've tried editing the updeater-script and still no luck. I deleted the first line, then saved and zipped. When I try to flash with that it says "can not find updater-script" even though I put the file type back to the way it was, and in the same spot.
any thoughts?

You can try to change ONE to ONEPLUS in updater-script, do not delete the lines just change one to oneplus & then try to flash with twrp.

I was using pixel experience oreo for my Redmi Note 4x previously. Then I installed miui 10 rom, but I found miui 10 is not good as pixel experience rom.
So, tried to flash pixel experience back. [I'm using Teamwin recovery]
I wiped data, Cache and Dalvik and again tried to flash Pixel experience.
But the rom couldn't be installed and returned an Error saying -
E:/ [cofface]Error hadn't found /system/build.prop

Again I tried to install miui 10 and it installs. But I want to get back to pixel experience.
( I edited build.prop for enabling camera 2 API )
Is there any solution for this problem?

Your device codename is mido. Am i right?
Try to wipe System,Data,Dalvik,Cache,Internal Storage
and put ur .zip in sdcard
If this do not help try fastboot the miui

[GUIDE] UNBRICK POCO X2/ REDMI K30 after flash with TWRP /0MB memory
Things You Need To Get Started
1. A Computer With Adb Tools Installed
2. Some Patience
3. Works only on phones with unlocked bootloader
Let's start.
1. install ADB/Fastboot
https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools
2. download FASTBOOT ROM
http://file.sakshieducations.com/poco-x2-flash-file/
3. unzip 2 times unzip the rom twice with 7zip
4. move the folder with the rom inside to partition ,,D " .Don't leave it on DESKTOP on , several computers / laptops have encountered problems with MIFLASH.
5. go to unziped rom and EDIT
6. open MIFLASH and go to the rom and select
7. select clean all as in picture and flash all bat
8. turn phone in to FASTBOOT AND CONNECT TO THE LAPTOP/DESKTOP
9. refresh in MIFLASH
10. wait until is finish, don't be scared if it gives you an error at the end, the error is that it can't lock the bootloader. The phone is ready in perfect working order

You should fix the ADB link, the ADB provided in that link is outdated. Even the author of that post suggested not using it. Go here: https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools

Hello can anyone help me here, i am stuck on TWRP device POCO X2 INDIAN VERSION, I was on custom ROM i was flashing another rom through recovery while i try to flash any ROM IS GIVES ERROR (failed to mount '/system_root' no such file or directory failed to mount '/odm , WIPE DALVIK CACHE GIVES ERROR (failed to mount '/system_root' Invalid argument)
i tried flashing through fastboot gives anti roll back error

Move miflash tool to c drive and also put fastboot rom file in miflash folder

Thank you so much guys i did managed to roll back to stock official miui firmware i had the wrong fastboot recovery downloaded did not know which one was correct tried different versions and one worked now i am official updated to Miui 12.
I am new to all this does anyone know if fastboot images for miui 12 for Poco x2 are out...?
I would like to try rooting and flashing custom roms again in few days.

Hi,
I am "building" (first had to fix the LCD etc.) a de-googled DAISY. I managed to unlock the bootloader, install TWRP, and root the original OS (Android One 10).
The problems started when I tried to install a custom ROM (at first Havoc, but other gave the same results). Just as instructed (YT, other pages, here...) I:
- formatted via TWRP
- REBOOT to TWRP
- wipe all except SD
- install ROM from zip
...and at this point I came across an error message
Error applying update: 7 (Error code: : kInstallDeviceOpenError)
Updater process ended with ERROR: 1
Many solutions suggest flashing boot.img from the ROM package, but (WHY?!?) all ROM's ((Havos, crDroid etc.) for daisy have no such file, although other devices have boot.img in their package.
I'm pretty much clueless... :/

I trying install Magisk-v20.4(20400) in Team Win Recovery Project 3.2.1-0.
It saying
“Updater process ended with ERROR: 1
Error installing zip file ‘ /sdcard/Download/Magisk-v20.4(20400).zip”
I was looking for some youtube video found that to flash a boot.img for a solution.
I found my boot.img inside my rom (V9.5.22.0 OEiCNFA_11471) and done the flash.
“IMAGE FLASH COMPLETED”
After that, I reboot my phone, the following error still same
“Updater process ended with ERROR: 1
Error installing zip file ‘ /sdcard/Download/Magisk-v20.4(20400).zip”
