You can still do that, just skip the twrp. Start with magisk. You just gotta install it a lil different, at least different than I've usually done lol. Download stock firmware and extract boot image. When you setup magisk on install there should be an option to patch boot.img... do that. Take yer now patched boot.img and flash it with fastboot and bobs yer uncle you got magisk root

twrp file here it is but always fastboot boot twrp first to make sure it will work so you don't brick the phone Still can't believe no custom rom works on this g9 not even lineage . I'm rooted stock rom but defiantly would like to install Havoc OS

Help TWRP Kenzo question

So i am on the new miui using the oficial flash thing (unlocked bootloader oficialy).
The thing is i always wanted to get root and use a kernel on xda here that gives more available memory and solves some of the heating problems when charging (but i know need TWRP ofc) .
So i went to here and checked a few guides however there are many twrp's versions some of them i can't flash miui oficial roms, some of them i need installl boot.img every single time or when i want to restore backup is not just select the backup and done, i need to do something else (is a bit confusing)... so instead i decided to ask you guys directly
The question is:
- If i wanted to use oficial miui but have root and install a kernel and in future just flash the new miui rom again without any stress (just twrp -> flash-> select rom and gapps and done), no boot.img bull****, no flash another twrp etc is it possible??
(before this phone i had moto g(1st gen) and was easy as to put ONE twrp and then would be always flash rom + gapps every single time, no boot.img no firmware, worked for CM12, 12.1 and 13)
Install Alka recovery and back up all the partitions before doing anything.

Although I haven't tried it personally, the TWRP explanation guide here says the Cofface TWRP (linked on that page) automatically patches the boot.img when you flash a new ROM, which I believe solves your problem.

so this one allows me to flash new roms from Miui? without any boot.img and stuff?

Can i flash stock rom using twrp ?

I am on Global stable miui 8.2.4 but for some reasons i don't like it and i wanna downgrade to 8.1.15 . I have Twrp installed and rooted . Can i flash recovery 8.1.15 rom using twrp ?
Or i need to flash a fastboot rom using twrp ?
somebody?
I have flashed stock 8.2.4.0 from 8.2.2.0 with flashfire, although I have twrp too. No problems just put the zip in right folder.
Yes you can. I have flashed both dev and stable. @jazzh mentions something about folders. TWRP doesn't really care about that.
Be warned though that flashing the official zip also replaces the recovery and there is a bug with 8.1.15 where you cannot flash TWRP back afterwards.
If you go back to 8.1.15 and want to use TWRP for flashing a custom rom simply use
fastboot boot [recovery name].img
to soft load TWRP and do all your work from there up.
Yes, that's a good advice.
I soft boot twrp whenever performing backup or updating magisk.
I just mentioned folders because flashfire is started from os and it will look into the ota folder and if it finds the zip it will offer rebooting to perform the update.

Unistall TWRP and make ONE Plus 6t like factory-made to claim warranty.

So i was trying to root my Oneplus 6t that was running OXynogen 10.3.4 Android 10 using TWRP & MagicSk.I read a tutorial somewhere explaining how to install TWRP recovery & then flash Magicsk.I successfully installed TWRP recovery on my phone using cmd with the help of fastboot. However, when i tried flashing Magicsk using TWRP,i got an error "KEY VERIFICATION FAILED".Now, i don't plant to proceed with rooting my phone any further. Can someone please tell me how can i undo all of my actions and get my phone back in original condition as it was when i purvhased.Like pure stock android with no TWRP,No unlocked bootloader...Just like a phone's software looks when purchased new.
TWRP can't get uninstalled. You've to flash Stock ROM to get rid off of it.

How do u suggest i flash the custom ROM? Will i have to do it using TWRP? Oneplus gives a .zip file of stock ROM on its website. Also will doing this lock my bootloader again?
@Illicit_Lokesh
I thought I made it clear.
FYI: Recovery and ROM are two completely independent different things.
No one needs a custom recovery as TWRP to flash Stock ROM: This can be done with Android SDK tools like ADB and Fastboot.

Cant apply ota update besides oreo 8.1 version

My poco f1 has its bootloader unlocked, i tried to flash the updated ota updates via mi flash, but except the 9.6.22 (Oreo 8.1) version, none of the roms is letting me boot, some of the versions lets me go to the recovery but when i choose boot to system, it'll go back to fastboot, other versions like the latest 12 version wont let me even boot to the recovery, after booting to the 9.6.22 version, i tried applying the ota updates from settings, which updated the phone to 10.0.4 version, the phone booted after that correctly as well, but after the phone downloads and installs the v11 update, it again goes to fastboot with no way to access the recovery, i tried booting to twrp as well, which just shows me a black screen and nothing else. Does anyone know any solution to this issue? TIA

I cant boot to twrp either, just black screen shows up when i try to boot to twrp from fastboot, tried flashing twrp too, same result, i saw people suggested using different ports on mobo, but i'm using a amd system, so i can only use my crappy usb 2 hub.
It's a motherboard problem bro we can't do anyone
The only thing we can do is unlock bootloader and flash a custom rom

If you want to flash miui roms,I prefer you can only flash with mi official tool which I recommend, flashing miui roms with twrp is a risky process it will may brick your phone pls try to flash only on mi flash tool

how to unlock bootloader realme 7 pro with realme ui 3.0 and flash the custom recovery and cuatom rom

hi guys i'm trying to unlock the bootloader and install a custom recovery and custom rom i've never done it if anyone can help me and all the necessary files thanks a lot
Well first downgrade to rui 2.0 and then using deep testing apk unlock the bootlorder and then flash custom recovery (ofox better) . Install your custom rom of your choice then ur good to go
Pranav060 said:

I have this version of realme ui 3
Hi, maybe my experience will be useful to you. I have Realme 7 pro with android 12 rmx2170_11_f.24. I was doing root to my device. What I was doing? First I downloaded deeptest rui3.apk. When I get confirmation from manufacturer I start deep test in app. Then I use ADB to send command for unlock bootloader. I completed this task. Then I downloaded and flash TWRP 3.6.2_12 (because it's can work with android 12. I tried 3.5.2_10 it's not worked). Also you need vbmeta file from rmx2170_11_f.24 to don't make your phone brick. First flash vbmeta then recovery. After recovery you need to install Magisk from TWRP to keep TWRP working after reboot. But, when I tryed install Magisk I was getting TWRP error 1: cannot write /system. How I fix it? I reboot device and install Magisk 25.2 via Android. Then you need patch boot.img from rmx2170_11_f.24 via Magisk and you get Magisk patched boot.img. Then you need flash TWRP again and reboot to recovery. In TWRP you need chose flash img button and flash Magisk patched boot.img to boot partition. Doing this you keep TWRP working and then you can flash custom ROM's to your phone.
Mod edit: 4pda link removed.
here you can get f24 ROM ( you need vbmeta and boot.img from this ROM). ROM is ~2 Gb size. Maybe you need registration on website to download. Also get TWRP 3.6.2. I'll pin deep test rui3.apk and Magisk 25.2 for you here. You can rename Magisk.zip to Magisk.apk and install via Android. I gaved you roadmap how to make this. Hope you can do it. By the way, hello from Ukraine)
