Method to Flash
Use fastboot method
-put recovery in adb platform tool
-open cmd in same folder
-type

-go to install , select install img and select the themed twrp recovery file .
-on next screen select recovery as partition .

You can ONLY unlock using the official Xiaomi method.

I used this twrp to update global version 12.0.6 to 12.0.7, it worked but when I got back to twrp , the data was encrypted. I don't know why?

Because miui did some changes to miui 12.0.7 and it breaks encryption on current twrp ... Use lrtwrp 3.3 fix2 img

not yet. You can try Dual Speaker mode made for Oneplus phones. But you'll probably brick ur device.

Hi, I'm surprised to see a user of GSI havoc - that's great! I was considering to flash the ROM myself cause I am really struggling with MIUI.
What is your experience with the GSI ROM? Any significant bugs? How's the battery life? I have used Havoc on another device but that was not a GSI ROM.

I like because it's basically AOSP but with lot of customisation features.
Bugs I've found:
• MusicFX crashes
• Call recording not working
Developer is working on it.
Feature not implemented in any GSI:
• Fingerprint with screen off

unlock the bootloader, flash twrp, flash the zip file and magisk and done!

First of all thank you for porting OOS for redmi 7a.
1) The recovery you mentioned does it work with every custom ROM or only for this rom.Why I am asking is there is so much confusion about using which recovery because the official twrp is not available for this device.
2) Can I flash this ROM from miui 11?
I saw a YouTube video in which Fashing custom ROM from miui 11 is not possible. we have to downgrade to miui 10 to flash custom roms.

Yes, the project continue. For now we have two bug left: bluetooth and navbar. Oxygen is a difficult rom so i try to fix this bug because for bluetooth required vendor fix.

At the moment only with Miui Android 10, Miui 12.5 android 11 you use lrtwrp.

I face this problem in the decryption screen too. Not that it bugs me much but, now that I come to think of it, this is surely a problem..and needs a fix...

Definitely. I had sideloaded it
I flashed through pe recovery. It was fine until i finished setting up setup wizard and phone randomly rebooted to recovery. I tried multiple times no success. For now only sideload will work i guess
If update comes can I install that automatically or do I have to dirty flash?

Flash latest firmware global 12.5 ( only 70 MB ) Flash it with TWRP no need to wipe data or anything just dalvik.

No just download Miui 12.5 firmware
there is four types for any update:
- Recovery rom.
- Fastboot rom.
- OTA apply file.
- Firmware.
You have just to download firmware of latest miui 12.5 global.
then go to TWRP recovery and flash it directly that's operation will not affect your data. just makes your rom works better.

The instructions it's always same bro.
flash it as same as flashing method of pixel experience rom.
and don't forget after you boot to the rom. just reboot to recovery again (you will see TWRP installed) and flash Miui 12.5 firmware that I mentioned above.

Yaa so i finally flash the rom. First flash the rom on pe recovery and rebooted to twrp flash the firmware and rebooted to rom. It's quite good rom with essential customization and stable. Battery life is also good

I am currently using 12.0.4(RKGINXM),indian version...can I flash the latest firmware 12.5 which is in global version with TWRP or PE Recovery? or do I have to first flash Miui global fastboot rom using MiFlashTool and then have to flash the latest firmware to the global one?

No just firmware you don't need to flash the whole rom flash it normally. and once for ever even if you formated data the firmware will stay up to date.
