Trying to root my moto g power, but when ever I'm about to flash I get "Waiting for device" (CLOSED) - Moto G Power Questions & Answers

I have installed the adb and fastboot, installed the motorola drivers and connected my phone to my pc. My phone is detected when it's just on but not when it's in fastboot. I know it's not much information but that's really all the information, feel free to ask questions if needed. Thanks

What does the fastboot screen say?

This is what it looks like. This is just a photo I found in the internet, I think this is what you mean I'm assuming.

I would like to know what the text on lower half says

I had this exact issue, adb worked properly when phone was on, and in fastbootd as well but in regular fastboot the phone wasn't detected at all, turned out the issue was the usb-c cable I was using, so be sure to try another one if you have it already, but before you go out and buy an extra usb-c cable check if there's any warnings about the driver in your device manager, I hear that's also a possible cause.

There are none, it just says my phone and, well, everything else seems normal. I did find out that it is not showing up in device manager when it's in fastboot, if that helps at all

I encountered a similar issue when I tried to flash a new rom. I have 2 computers, one with Windows 8 and the other with Windows 7. I found that I couldn't get adb working on the Win8 PC but it worked nicely on the win7.
You should also make sure your USB Cable is good and not plugged into any USB Hub or USB 3.0 plug
Best to plugin to the motherboard directly. I learned this the hard way one day with a USB Hub. Nothing worked till i unhooked the Hub from the PC
I have no problems in windows 8 now

[Q] Can't get into Fastboot!

Hello guys,
I know there's probably tons of theards, but I'm sure I read most of them and I'm still with a problem.
I'm trying to unlock my bootloader on my Xperia Go (ST27i) and I can't get into fastboot mode!
I've installed Android SDK, I've install the drivers from Flashtool, I still can't get it working.
What to you guys recommend me? Uninstall everything and install again (Will that even work?)
Thank you,
Kript3r.

First the phone must be turned off and disconnected from the USB cable, then you press volume up and connect the USB cable while you holding it dwn.
Another way is to enabled USB debugging in developer options, connect the phone to the pc, then in flashtool click the flash icon, select fastboot, and in the window the comes up click reboot into fastboot (via adb).
Try both methids.

Any particular reason you need fastboot?
You cannot flash custom kernels and non stock based ROMs but you can still root it.

I asked for the reason, and if its "to unlock my bootloader" you can forget about it alltogether. Unlocked boot loader by itself has no advantage over lokecked bootloader.

My guess is that your device either got hard-bricked or that you need to re-install the drivers on your PC (e.g. with Flashtool).

Question [SOLVED] Bricked trying to remove modified warning

Hello i wanted to root and unlock my SM-T220 and did all of that and then tried to remove the warning by overwriting up_param from termux
That resulted in bootlooping with only backlight on
Then i tried recovering using MTK SP Flash but now it only shows up as MTK usb device cant even get to bootloader, is the tablet toast?
Can you boot it to EDL?
You shouldn't have done it with Termux anyways since it was fully booted from the beginning.
