[Q] Lost lock pin

Hey!
Changed my lock screen pin today, but apparently entered it wrong (twice?) so it wasn't what I thought it would be...
How do I go about unlocking it? I really don't wanna reset the device or install a new rom!
My Galaxy Nexus is rooted, I have gmail pw, ADB access and pin code...
Please help fast!
Thank you
if the phone still has access to the internet (wifi or data) then once you try to enter the lock pin incorrectly a few times it should ask you to login with your gmail password, which should then unlock the device allowing you to change the lock pin.
Failing that there are methods involving adb, do a search on google as I think some people have unlocked it using adb.

Chinese Android phone (LePhone V8)- does not have PIN, pattern, password option

I have purchased a Chinese Android phone (LePhone V8 - Android 6 device), but it does not have PIN, pattern, password option in security.
In the security>Device Security>Screen Lock, it only provides none and swipe options.
Are there any ADB commands that could enable the device to have PIN, pattern and password option in device security?
Thanks!

Is pocophone encrypted by default?

Hi there..
I'm trying ti understand device encryption before i install a custom ROM on my poco. (Any links explaining how encryption works on android would be greatly appreciated)
My first question is whether the pocophone encryption is turned on by default.
Under the encryption settings, the "encrypt device using lock screen password" slider is set to off.
However, every time I reboot the phone, i am forced to enter the lock screen password as fingerprint and facial recognition do not work. I assumed that this is because encryption had been enabled on my phone by default. But then why is the slider set to off?

Click to collapse
The option that you are talking about under encryption settings, is the same as "Android secure start up" on AOSP. If you enable this option, you need to enter your device password while you restart the phone. Or else your device won't even boot up (and you won't see the lockscreen) completely and you will be stuck. It's an extra layer of security on top of lockscreen password/pattern/pin. Now coming to your second question, it's a security feature on android where no other unlock methods will work except PIN/Password/Pattern after you restart the device everytime. And it has nothing to do with encryption or decryption. Even if you decrypt the ROM, you will still have to enter your password or pin or pattern on every reboot. Only then all other unlock methods will start working. Some ROMs have a feature where you can bypass this security and unlock the device straight away on every reboot without entering the default pin or password/pattern. But they also put a disclaimer that it's not safe.
Thanks for the info.. But one of the questions "Is the Pocophone F1" encrypted by default?" is not yet answered. I am very interested to know. And (while I am asking) if not, "How can I do encrypt it"?
Yes, it is encrypted by default.

unlocking Oppo R7 Plus

Hi sir,
Someone had added a new google account & changed the screen lock pattern on my phone (OPPS R7 plus). After I got back the phone, the pattern lock is on. My own google account is still connected to this phone.
But when I click forgot Pattern & keyed in my Google Username and password, it showed "invalid username or password"
Can you advise how I should proceed?
By the way I have also locked the phone from the "Find Your Phone" feature. But it doesn't allow me to replace a new passcode, due to the phone is already locked.

Alternate option for screen unlocking the phone if we forgot pattern or pin.

Is there any alternative available for screen unlocking if we forgot pin or pattern without losing your data. Similar type of ROM that can give option like forgot password, pin so we can recover the data.
