Realme 7 RMX2155 Bootloader Unlock Or Roll-Back? - Realme 7 Questions & Answers

Hello there.
I am aware that - at the moment - the global version of this phone cannot be unlocked. I'd just like to know when - if ever - the bootloader will be able to be unlocked, and if I can still roll-back to earlier versions of Android with SP Flash Tools (I really don't like how restrictive Android 11 is. Shame on Google.).
Thanks.

I need .apk to RMX2155 - there is a version for this particular model

What are you asking exactly? If you are asking if the apk method of boot-loader unlocking works for this model: It does not. I am not exactly sure why, though.

I have the same model.
No bootloder unlock.
Tryed different region, flashed different ROM model. No luck.
Rollback a11 to a10 work with this update from recovery.

Thanks! Where did you get this file? Also: Why is it that it isn't unlockable? Why can't we just use ADB commands?

the file from officiel realme web site. it isn't unlockable because realme refuse it for EU version. you can't use ADB commande because kernel dont allow fastboot mode.

Just one last question, if you don't mind. Would it be impossible to flash a kernel onto the phone with something like SP Flash Tools or ADB?

Yes, since R7 kernel is packed inside boot.img
BTW, Global Varants is now unlockable!

I doubt it'll work, but I figured I'd ask: Has anyone tried this on the American model? (BND-L24) - I'm gonna test shortly, so I'll be able to confirm whether or not it works. If it does work, I doubt the bands will work properly, if at all, but I'll give it a shot.

Built-in updater should probably work, try it out, it will tell you if it doesn't.
It didn't work, I got the following error message:

I cant get it to install, guess i will have to wait the 360 hrs. Thanks anyway
Tried many different methods but they are all showing that the global rom is not an official rom, unless i am doing something wrong....

I have an unlocked bootloader and the Chinese version, I tried flashing the global firmware using TWRP that I installed temporarily ( I wanted to keep the original recovery so I can lock the bootloader later on), I ended up with soft bricked phone, the phone booted to the main Welcome screen of which I can select a preferred language and region, there were tons of languages but only one region (China) and once selected, I started getting error message "Find devices closed unexpected" and the phone kept rebooting. I had to reinstall TWRP and sideload the Chinese firmware from my PC through ADB sideload to get my phone working again.
Exactly what I was afraid of. I hope official gets released soon via OTA. By the way, can we OTA from China to Global?

That's not an error, it's the output when booting the modded recovery in fastboot, and it's ok. After that you should see the ! symbol in watch and the installer should start copying the files to the watch
What do you get in the installer?

I posted the link few post above.
But as I said before, just in case something goes wrong, those with a Chinese model may collaborate to get a dump of the Chinese firmware from their whatc just in case they have to go back to stock/original firmware.
This is just a precaution, because if for some reason the US firmware doesn't work in the Chinese model, nowadays there is no way to restore the watch, that's why I'm asking for the Chinese firmware dump help.
I think jazyen27 thought , how to read dump from watch.........
I can provide a Windows tool to do that.

Thanks for so quick response, appreciate it. That wouldn't be problem since I already have bootloader unlocked for flashing. My concerns would be bricking the phone due to differences in basebands or vendor files, for example.

You can just flash the radio firmware, it is a little safer.
Flashing the Radio Firmware
it's a good idea to run
Code:
fastboot getvar all
before flashing anything and keep a copy of it, for reference later.

Hey it's me again,
What would be the difference between using lenovo's rescuing app against the manual procedure using fastboot?
I come from xiaomi, where to be able to replace partitions like Vendor, you should put the phone in EDL mode in order to be able to flash/replace those partitions...
Wonder if with moto edge+ there's some considerations in place...
Thanks again

The advantage of LMSA is automation and access.
LMSA can check the device, determine the correct firmware, and download that firmware from a Motorola Server.
All the other sources of firmware are 3rd party.
LMSA can use the included flashfile.xml that contains the recommended flash commands.
Flashing manually with fastboot.exe requires opening the flashfile.xml and figure out the correct commands.

There's been very little development using Moto EDL mode.
It's almost exclusively used with a blankflash to rescue the device.

Question OnePlus 10t Custom ROM

Hello all,
I plan to get a OnePlus 10T soon UNLOCKED model.
What are my prospects for installing a custom ROM now or in the future? I had a OP 9 a few months ago & only had it for a short time.
Regards
LC
We don't have a MSM tool which would allow us to restore the device from bricking... Until there is an alternative method to recover.... We might not see the custom ROM development.... Thanks to the OP becoming OPPO (or vice versa) and the greedy mindset of blocking stuff...OP is no longer dev friendly but yet another ******* company
How long would it take? It's a really powerful device

Yeah I thought so too. Even when I had my OP 9 I never bricked it

I would guess that when you develop a custom ROM, the chances of bricking your phone is significantly higher than when you flash a custom ROM someone has already made

That's disappointing. Just got my OnePlus 10T recently.

Fastboot can unbrick it

If you can't get to fastboot, you need msm and you put your phone on EDL mode. I had to do this numerous times on my 8T. It's a clean and safe way to get back to stock in almost any situation.
I reflash my phone back to stock with fastboot.

You were able to flash stock on that model with fastboot? What zip file did you use? US incremental OTA? EU Full OTA?

So Google's get suppository for Android actually has a tool for extracting the boot images from your device so I did that and I'm currently running back on stock with a locked bootloader

Could you post the boot file and version you used? You flashed the boot image and then all the rest of the images? Do you have the commands for every image you flashed?
If I remember I'll do it once I get out of work but that's a little ways away still but I would just recommend doing it yourself by extracting your own boot images I can and send you a link if I get time if now I'll try to remember after work.

So you didn't flash the entire stock rom? Just the boot image? It is not clear.
For unbricking entire rom is usually needed so I was looking for examples of a full stock rom flash.
I am also looking for a stock version for CPH2417... payload.bin would be amazing.
I softbricked (bootloop) and had to use the CPH2413 (India) software (not good)
