So, I recently downloaded this Lineage os 18 Andy Yan’s builds // GSI [lineage-18.1 treble_arm64_bvSrom] for my Redmi 9. The only two problem I encounter where with the no audio on calls and auto brightness. I was able to fix the camera issues installing gcam 8.1 and following this guide. The rom was great besides the small issues.
Maybe someone can try it and see if they can fix the problems.

I know how to use fastboot in linux, to flash the rom i would need miflash which is compatible with windows only
Yes i could flash all of images in the zip file manually, which would have the same effect, but i really dont want to spend my day doing that.

Can anyone tell how do this compare to other custom ROMs? ESP the pixelplusui, it was real laggy on 4gb variant.
Also can i flash microg-apps instead of open-gapps?

I am using it, it's way smoother than any custom ROM and stable too.
Battery backup is way better than MiUI, but I got more SOT when I was in PPUI.
PPUI lagged on mine too, the older OSS builds of custom ROMs don't have zram enabled, maybe that's why it lagged so much.
Mindthegapps was suggested by the developer and I'm using that.
Others have tried Nickgapps core too, but I'm not so sure about microgapps.

First of all thank you for your help @Blindsword6
So this one has zram enabled?
Is the new lineage Oss or non-oss?
Any other issues? Brightness etc? Call volume in ppui was very low I had hard time listening to call outdoors, I live in a huge crowded urban city in commercial area, is it better, I mean a little loud or better yet like Miui?
And other than lag, did you ran into app crashes?
I want android 11, but as a daily driver.

Btw if I flash micro g, and unfortunately, don't get it work, I can simple reflash lineage with gapps, right? Or are there any more complicated things involved?

The new lineage is OSS version.
I'm talking about this one.
link : https://t.me/HelioG85_Updates/157
Everything works as is.
The sound is quite loud too, probably same as MiUi.
Nah, I didn't face any app crashes.
It's stable.
I have been using this since it came out.
You can just reflash it with gapps,
and, I think, it's better to flash the gapps after the initial boot.

So you're saying I should boot up phone set it up then again go to recovery and flash apps, right?

This ROM has problem with Xposed making phone unbootable.
I tried two other ROMs (Lineage and AICP) which don't have the problem.

Excuse me in advance for going OT but before trying to install custom roms, have you tried to flash global version of MIUI that is bundled with most of world languages and can fit your needs: it has got working google play, not a single china app and is working fairly well in all parts. It can be easily flashed on locked bootloader as well using miflash tool, a windows 64 bit system and putting the phone in download mode.
You can find most of informations here http://en.miui.com/thread-228048-1-1.html
@ Ivan thanks for the suggestion. Sincerely, I'm grateful. It's just I think I'm feed up with everything not custom. This is the first phone that I haven't bin able to gain root access as well as flashing custom ROM.
I want to even run twrp as well, but I just learnt of dm-verity. I just need a way out of this.

If you have already unlocked your bootloader (otherwise have a look at this: http://en.miui.com/thread-324619-1-1.html), install twrp (following instructions you can find here on xda) and then, when you access for the first time in TWRP (immediately after you flash TWRP I mean!), flash lazy-flasher that you can find here http://en.miui.com/thread-310923-1-1.html: this will patch boot.img and you will have a "permanent" TWRP that won't go away at first system restart. Now you can install SuperSU or any custom rom you want to try without any problem! Now, after much time on MIUI 8, I'm on LOS 14.1, but I've tried many other custom roms, each of one was stable and good for daily use except AEX which is a very good rom but someone (like me), on latest build, wasn't able to use internet data for a bug. CR-Droid is very good as well!

No I don't think this will work.
Mi8 and Poco has almost the same hardware. That's why it works. Oxygen is for OnePlus and it's not similar as Poco.

Has anyone got the OxygenOS Poco Port to work on their Mi 8? I'm currently trying but it's not booting up.
This is what I've done:
-changed the OxygenOS update-script
-wiped data,cache,dalvik + system
-did factory reset
-flashed the rom (prepped OxygenOS)
-flashed Mi8 kernel
-flashed DFE
-flashed the vendor.img you need for OxygenOS
I see the Oxygen boot animation but after 5 mins of trying to boot my Mi 8 resets into recovery
Would really love an OxygenOS port for the Mi 8 so hmu if u got this to work

P/s: Can you make a custom overclocked kernel for your Pie ROMs? I've been using Extreme Kernels (for stock Oreo) and they are amazing. I wonder if Pie can also get a similar kernel.

Hi,
Can you please help me with the download from the GSI? Where can I get the right file from?
after install, bluetooth and settings tell me that it stops all the time and sim cant be detected. Also there is some encryption so i can't access data or system anymore with twrp... even magisk can't be installed. great...
After running into a ton of errors, I think I've done something wrong. I have a few questions:
1. Where does Disable ForcedEncryption (DFE) go to in the installation process? If I flash the zip before Lineage (or not flasing at all), the phone encrypts itself right on boot. If I flash DFE zip after Lineage, the camera (and all the sensors) die permanently.
2. Regardless of the phone's encryption status, sometimes the phone just fails to recognize all the sensors (except Wifi, battery and GPS). That means no accelerometer, no screen rotation, no compass or light sensor. Rebooting fixes this on Lineage (for a while), but on RR once it occurs all sensors die permanently. Also GPS reception is terrible, as I haven't got a single fix.
Hope anyone who has been using Treble roms could give me an answer. Thanks in advance.

I only run into these problems on Treble roms. No problem with sensors or encryption with native ones, such as AOSP or Paranoid.

New version of LOS 16 + Treble
This version of LOS is outdated and does not work on latest Treble.
An updated LOS build (with Expanded volume and latest security patch) can be downloaded on this thread and installed over latest Treble.
Since this phone requires arm64 A-only GSIs to boot, the compatible version should be lineage-16.0-2019xxxx-UNOFFICIAL-treble_arm64_avN.img.xz.
Installation tutorial: Click here. Keep in mind that system.img refers to the LOS build above.

Thanks man the ROM is great! But is it possible to make the camera work like it did on the original Xperia X stock ROM. I mean the camera is pretty dark on all custom ROMs is there any fix for that?

You can use Chippa_a's Unofficial LOS16 instead. That one has some heating issues and gaming performance might not be optimal (due to CPU throttling), but camera and battery life is almost identical to stock. In fact, I only use Treble LOS as daily driver because I play games on my phone quite a lot.
If you still insist on using Treble however, you can check out Google Camera ports (scroll down a little bit on Treble page). With HDR+ or Night Mode the picture quality is stellar, but taking pictures might be a bit slow. As far as I know it only runs on Treble and Omni.

Yeah I am using the gcam port and I get pretty good pictures with it but not very good video quality so I guess I'm gonna give it a try to Chippa_a's Unofficial LOS16.

[ROM][N960F][LineageOS 16.0][UNOFFICIAL][03-12-19]

What's working:
Wi-Fi
Bluetooth
Mobile Network (Calling, Data, etc.)
Audio (Stereo Speakers)
GPS
NFC
Camera
Fingerprint Sensor
S-Pen Basics
HDMI
MTP
Call Recording
HWC
Signal Strength
Encryption
What's not working:
Iris sensor does not work because AOSP upstream does not support that yet.
IMS services (VoLTE, VoWiFi, etc). Samsung has their own proprietary implementation. It is not really possible to easily port that to LineageOS.
Bugs:
S-Pen/Mouse will cause small graphical glitches during button animations sometimes.
Instructions:
Make sure TWRP has been installed and is functional
Download the latest build and CSF9 vendor.img (optionally gapps and magisk if needed)
Reboot to recovery
Wipe data and cache (required if you switch from other ROMs)
Flash the vendor image
Flash the latest build (then gapps and magisk if needed)
Reboot
How to update builds?
Do not wipe anything unless stated in the changelog
Flash only the rom.zip and it will automatically reinstall your gapps, magisk etc
use /system/addon.d if you would like to keep system mods after an update

The N960F and N variants are pretty much the same if I'm not mistaken, so should work fine. If you can, try it and report back!
It's not possible for a Samsung camera app port for this rom right?
what about actual sources for building rom?
The rom is very stable! Thx alot!
Btw is there gesture navigation on LineageOS?
Yours is a great job. Everything really works on S9.
Pixel launcher is crashing for me.
Anyone has this issue?
The battery is not good about 5 hours on screen with full wifi. not as good as los 15.1
Great job! Can I update from your 15.1 LOS, or should make full wipe?
This Rom is Amazing
Amazing rom man, lovely work.

Everyone does. Seems to be an issue with the Pixel Launcher its self. You can use Lawnchair if you want an equivalent.

I downloaded a random launcher from the store but Ill try Lawnchair.
I also noticed that the camera stopped working.
When i first installed the rom it was working, and after a while it kept force closing.
I cant manage to get it to work anymore.

[ROM] [UNOFFICIAL] LineageOS 18.1- microG Edition

Intro(Skip at your wish xd):
Hello guys, it's kind of frustrating that our 4a 5G don't get much love here(in custom ROM development perspective) as Pixel 5 as it's not really a "main" variant.
For myself, I love Pixel devices for Google releases "proper" device tree and most necessary stuff, but still it require quite some time for me to get things right and a working ROM build, hell, to be honest, I spent like about 30 hrs already as this is my first time to use AOSP tree + vendor blobs from Google site to build ROMs)
Despite the lack of previous experience, the first build that I'm releasing here, is working quite well, I haven't discovered any (device-specific) bug just yet, anyway, let's continue

Instructions:
0. Make sure your bootloader is unlocked
1. Download ROM zip from the link below, and grab Magisk patched boot.img inside the folder as well if you want root access
2. Reboot to bootloader
2.5. Flash updated bootloader.img and radio.img from Google site
3. Use `fastboot -w update LineageOS_microG-bramble-(BUILD DATE HERE)-userdebug-signed.zip` to flash
and yes, you can omit the "-w" parameter if you're not flashing for the first time, aka just updating from previous release
4(optional). Hopefully after flashing you'll be booted into LineageOS, reboot to bootloader again,
and flash the Magisk patched boot.img extracted from the 7z file with `fastboot flash boot magisk_patched.img`,
reboot after finished
5. Enjoy!

Awesome, thank you!
I've never heard of the MicroG before so just looked that up. I'm loving that philosophy so I'm definitely gonna be checking that out! Thanks! My pixel is arriving tomorrow so after playing around with it first, I'll try out your ROM once there's more responses from others here.

LineageOS 18.0 is Android 11, but XDA didn't update the option menu so I chose Android 10.

Took a while for this thread to pop back up after forum migration..
Thanks for the awesome work
Is anyone using this ROM as their daily driver? I'm still reluctant to risk my warranty
I guess I will roll the dice and give it a go. Anyone know if this will affect my e-sim with Google Fi?
Thank you, dic1911 for being so awesome to bring first rom to Bramble, which is almost brand-new! I appreciate your work and we are really glad for it.

It won't affect Google Fi.
Thanks. It looks great and runs good but I’m obviously missing something. I tried installing GApps via ADB side load and no matter which size Nikhil version I attempt to install, I get an error there’s not enough memory. I’ve rebooted after flashing to the rom and also done a factory reset to no avail. What am I missing? I’ve also tried it with and without the patched boot.img.

Does this rom use seedvault like mainline lineageos? Or is google backup in here even with microg?

Warranty? Should not effect that. I wouldn't think it would. Bootloader is unlockable and google even gives the option to flash aosp vanilla(no google) or public (official google rom) with their flashing tool (via chrome browser).
Are Pixel-Exclusive features such as Now Playing, Live Captions, Call Screening, Adaptive Sound, Screen Attention included and working?
Any issues getting safetynet to pass?

This is Lineage... You install this one to get privacy and free yourself from Gapps. You might be able to get most features running, but then you just can stay with stock - privacy is then gone again...

SeedVault is builtin system app for all LineageOS builds, no matter it's official or not, if it's not there in someone else's build, either it's removed by the builder or the build is too old.
So yes, SeedVault is in my build, but there's no guarantee that it works with any apps just like Google Backup(which I found pretty much useless in my case)
PS. I'm not really as active as I was on xda since about 2 years ago, please join Telegram for more updated stuff
PPS. I released GCam extracted from stock ROM and modified to make it work on LineageOS(and pretty much any custom ROM with right stuff baked in), and yes, you'll need to flash updated build from my Telegram channel (It's more convenient for me to upload to Telegram as the storage space there is unlimited)
LineageOS 18.1 is up!
Now with December security patch, grab it from the link in OP
