Hello, first I need to ask questions to better assess the issue you're encoungering.
• What did you do to your phone before the problem happended?
• Were you able to mount all the partitions?
• After flashing, are you sure it is successful?

or maybe the vendor i am using is having issue i did used c10 and it was having issues maybe that was wrong so installed c14 and it got installed successfully

Try installing shapeshift OS ... That fixed my issue ... And AOSP android 10 would work too !! I am using TWRP ... Working fine for me !!

I had this issue, too once. Can't recap what exactly fixed it, but I flashed TWRP again (think that didn't fix it) and then dirty flashed a ROM (in this case the same, which was already on the phone). If I remember correctly it worked after the later only. Might have also had to flash superSU. No data should be deleted if you just dirty flash (but do make a backup, should be no problem, since you are stuck in recovery anyway [emoji12]).
What ROM did you try to flash? You're rooted?

I also dont really care if I lose photos or anything I already got all of them saved on my pc before I even started rooting the damn thing. I do need to ask tho how do you dirty flash and Do i just flash twrp normally since im already in it or ??? As I said im rlly new to this
TWRP can be flashed just from inside TWRP itself. Dirty flash means not do a factory reset before flashing.
Sorry that I can't remember what fixed it, but you can get out of it, 'cause I did, too...
Just wipe cache and dalvik/art cache then install separately TWRP, ROM, GAPPS, SUPERSU again and reboot after each install step to see of you reboot to TWRP again. That's what I did.
I use latest AICP ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=69699770) but that shouldn't matter.
Hope it helps.

Wait you were trying to flash recovery for a pixel device on your g5?
What TWRP build did you flash when you said you downgraded? 3.0.2-1 or 3.0.2-0 ? What is the date on the TWRP build?

It's happened to me too! Like three times lol. Just use UpperCut / LG UP to flash the latest nougat rom. That will fix the issue. You will need to re-root after that. There are instructions in this forum that tell how to do all of that. Good luck
Well and don't flash a ROM which is not for your device...

Stuck with wrong bootloader and Lollipop 5.1 installed, want to go to Lineage 14.1

I try to install Lineage 14.1 but I can't because It says wrong bootloader, and that my bootloader is unknown. I installed lollipop by flashing the system.img image and the boot.img image because I had no ROM installed because my internal storage and SD card got corrupt or something. Can anyone help me by supplying a Lineage 14.1 backup or a LineageOS system.img and boot.img file? Thanks in advance...
Wrong bootloader . . .?????
I think the issue you are having is what I was having, and that is that you are not COMPLETELY wiping the previous operating system. Use TWRP's advanced features to make sure you do a complete wipe.
Can someone tell me if you use the advance wipe and wipe the system if that solved the bootloader error, I am concerned because once you wipe the system you have nothing to go back to if it doesnt work

I was getting the same error the user above was until I used TWRP's advanced wipe and got rid of everything. Of course make sure you do a backup of whatever you currently have working just in case, but once I did an advance wipe I was able to installed Cyanogen. I however still cannot get Lineage 14.1 to work, it simply gets into an install loop. But since your question was about the boot loader, once I did the complete wipe the error message you are referring to went away for me.
thank you for your reply
hi i am from india and huge fan of huawei i got this phone from usa(mt2-l03) i rooted the phone using some one click root tool and tried to flash twrp which ended in saying recovery image failed, please update to the authorized images.however as there was was root i changed the dpi(think 420) now the phone screen is blank(only in the system ui not the boot image or vendor image(huawei)) i am having the imei and s/n at the battery but i dont have the product id so is there any way i can get the product id and unlock the bootloader of my phone or is there any way to repair my phone
In the general area, in the stickies there are many options you might try. This one https://forum.xda-developers.com/as...to-fix-soft-bricked-phone-using-twrp-t2886630. Seems like it might be the way out for you but I'm not a dev or an expert, just someone who's screwed up his phone alot and found fixes in that section

bootloop issue

hi i tryed to convert my redmi note 4x to global when flashing with mi flash tool i did it without clean and after that firmware finish installing but got stuck in bootloop now i flashed twrp and tryed to flash custom rom but again bootloop when i check my storage it shows 9gb now when its actual is 32gb i think i disturbed partitions any solution available?
Are you able to boot into TWRP?? If not flash TWRP first using fastboot.
Once you have access to TWRP boot into it and perform a full wipe (System + Data + Cache + Dalvik + Internal Storage). Perform a format too after wipe to be on the safer side. Now copy a custom ROM or MIUI ROM to your Internal Storage or SD card through a computer. Once copied install your ROM.
If you flashed custom ROM flash Gapps after flashing ROM. Reboot.
If you flashed MIUI, flash lazyflasher after that(or phone will be stuck at MI logo). Reboot.
You can find download links for lazyflasher here on XDA or you can google it too.

@ArK96 is right but the only thing i suggest is to, flash miui and lazyflasher first so as to properly set up the initial firmware, and partitioning. After miui boots properly, you can do anything you want. :highfive:

Go here and download the Global Stable worldwide release version firmware.
Boot into twrp wipe and format everything. Also after that reflash TWRP again using fastboot.
Once reflashed boot into TWRP and again perform a full wipe and format, then install the downloaded firmware zip. After that reboot TWRP and try flashing MIUI.

Yes. Red wolf is more MIUI friendly, it is made with OTA survival in mind. But your issue is that the ROM is not getting flashed. You can try what I said above about TWRP reflash, if it doesn't work you can go ahead and try redwolf. REDWOLF is nothing but modded TWRP, base code is still TWRP.

[SOLVED] My Mi9 Is bricked, need help because

Hello everyone,
Having a series of bug that I did not like, I tried to flash my mi9 with an older version of the EU rom.
Since, my phone reboots constantly on TWRP and if I go in the files of the SD card, it is big anything in it.
Basically my phone is bricked.
I need your help to get by because the only thing that starts is TWRP ..
Someone could he save me?
Based on ny previous experience with another Android devices, I think your Mi 9 is far from beying bricked. All you need is to flash a stock image through fastboot.

This steps can be applied for upgrading from P to Q too ?
You don't have to reboot after formatting data ?
But never reboot after wiping system, yeah

Uhh yeah! You need to reboot to recovery to see if TWRP is still on there. Formatting means EVERYTHING gets yeeted out the back door. When you format data, always, and I mean ALWAYS reboot to recovery, and then you can flash your vendor image following your rom.
well, i flashed the android 10 version from "mi dot com/global/androidqbeta" , then i wanted to go back to the pixel experience rom and it didn't boot, it boot loped to twrp, so, I wiped all the partitions, and tried to flash the global version that came with the phone and it gives me the error "vendor error flashing" and then on another try after flashing the vender through twrp "system error flashing", then I formated all the partitions and then tried with the miflash tool version 2018-5-28, and it says device mismatch, but I am sure I have the mi 9 cepheus, 64gb 6gb ram, do i try flashing it with the European version ? i remember it came with the global version ...
[edit]
well, i solved it by making sure i had the same name on the folder that i had on the decompressed folder .. i've never encountered such an error
hope this helps someone ahah

Redmi note 4 keeps rebooting with custom roms

Hi, I've recently repaired my mido with a new screen after a fall. After this I tried some custom roms. Initially I managed to install lineage 18.1. After I switched to dotOS. From this point on, the phone restarts a few seconds after the launcher appears. To fix this I used MiFlah to install latest MIUI, formatted data, wiped everything, tried TWRP and Orangefox, tried other custom roms with no changes. Now only stock MIUI11 works. Other custom roms (included lineage) gets the phone continuously rebooting. Could be an hardware problem? What am I doing wrong? It is the first time in ages I have problems flashing ROMS .-.
Thanks.

The vendor partition could have some code/ file that persists stock ui or system
and make sure your phone was rooted before flashing custom rom
and also via twrp flashing. from what Ive seen flash in twrp before flash custom rom( https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=disable+encryption+treble ) then flash the "verity and encryption disabler ,theres another one to re enable encyption only " then flash custom rom
after flashing custom rom reboot poweroff(switch phone off via twrp)
reboot into twrp and flash whatever else you need
now reboot to system and your phone should work fine
Thanks, it worked!
I did:
Flash last miui with miflash
Flash recovery
Flash you suggested zip
Format data
Flash lineage 17.1 (android10)
WIpe system, data, cache, art cache
Flash any android 11 ROM

Holy **** how did you come up with this.
Either the zip with Magisk somehow fixed it or installing the android 10 rom somehow. Either way doesn't make sense

Didn't work for me,

but interesting enough , phone freezes then shutdown without restarting , then i would go and trun it back on , but fingerprint not working now

so if you have magisk you can use a zip file to chmod 744 or 644 (it may be "chmod root 744" )the /persist partiton and thatll mean only true root has access
so 7 is read write execute 6 is read and write 4 is read only 5 is read execute i forgot which number was execute only 1 maybe?
so play with the permissions or look in the root folder for boot.p or permissions.sh then you can modify in there the permissions, it can cause bootloop , so always keep an original copy or youll hae to reflash(DISCLAIMER)
so you can pull the file using adb+root / or a root explorer
Copy it to phone then edit then copy to SDCARD
reboot to twrp then use shell/terminal "chmod 777" the partition where the file is / or read write everything
then copy the file and overwrite the original
