After dissasembly and reasseambly I cannot get data transfer by USB - Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Questions & Answers

When I plug USB cable to PC and Mido there is only charging avilable.
I had MTP(Media transfer protocol) selected while plugging in USB. Right now there is not reaction with computer.
I try to reconnect USB tapes but still the same.
Any ideas how to get connection with PC?

Hi, maybe you can try other USB cable first. If the same issue still happens, my suggestion is WiFi Transfer. Do remember to make sure your Mi phone and your computer are in the same network. Then you can ask help from a free backup tool like Coolmuster Android Backup Manager, which can help you transfer data like photos, videos, music, ebooks, contacts, text messages, app, etc from your Mi phone to your computer directly via WiFi connecting. About the details, please searching online. Good luck to you, and hope this will be your help.

What did you disassemble and why?

USB transfer problems...
I have had a lot of problems in the past when transferring files using a USB extension, Samsung docking station, or anything else inline from the PC’s USB port. Try hooking your Samsung USB cable to the back of your pc (motherboard connection). Don’t put anything else on the cable (extensions, etc).
Hope this helps…

Thanks for that information. I came online this morning looking for help with the same problem and just got my answer. I've been connecting mine with a cable from the tab to an 8-port USB hub, which in turn was connected to my desktop.
Thanks for the information!

[Q] USB mass storage mode?

Does anyone know if there is a way to connect the phone as a mass storage device without the Lg software? I work on a mac at work, and a PC at home, and transferring files on my phone is something that I used a lot. However I'm not able to install the LG software on every machine I hook my phone to.
Any insite would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

When you connect your phone, immediately push cancel (on the phone) when it is trying to check for LG software.
Also, you have some options on the phone to when you connect USB. I use the option that recognizes the phone as a media player. - Media Sync (MTP)
This is what works for me, and I use it as mass storage.

Look up how to adb push and pull. You will never need to be bothered by MTP again.
i agree that is a solution.
but its not for everyone, especially my relative who just want an easy plug and play options
also manage to help her switch tio ubuntu for most pc needs. therefore MTP is aoutof the question.
right now, my short term solution is an ftp server
however this has its limitations. like need 2 be connected o the same network.
still hoping the nest upgrade or custom rom will implement usb mass storage mode
yeah for some reason ICS did away with mass storage in favor of MTP, i think. OSX unfortunately doesnt MTP, so you need to download the 'Android File Transfer' app onto your laptop and then do it through there.

Amazfit Stratos not connecting with Macbook pro via android file transfer.

Amazfit Stratos not connecting with Macbook pro via android file transfer. the watch is charging but not showing on Macbook, Is there a way to rectify it, and how do i access the storage and delete the music from the stratos.
Are you using the original charger? Third party ones may not work for data transfers. If you are sure that your charger is fine, either check System Information -> USB to make sure the device is connected correctly. AFT sometimes hangs here, but disconnecting and reconnecting the watch fixes the problem without the need to restart my watch.

Same issue here, Stratos is charging but not accessible from Macbook, I'm using original charger, and both have the latest O.S. systems.

How do you know it's not accessible? Did you try adb and/or Android File Transfer? Does it work with another computer?
I have the same problem. Did you find the solution?
Just make sure that cradle (original charger) correctly snap in. No problem here with android file transfer, commander one, apkinstaller, adb or fastboot.
Same issue and I am using the only original charger there is. I am using the Android file transfer program directly downloaded from Amazfit website. Followed instructions 100% as written. Nothing.
If pressing the watch firmly after checking if both metallic pins on watch and cradle are clean, and also checked with another cradle and/or USB port, most probably it's due to an internal problem. You can still transfer files manually to and from watch using WiFi, probably there is a tutorial elsewhere about it.
I think this is a problem with the MacOS rather than the Amazfit. My Amazfit watch is recognised instantly in Android File Transfer, but AFT won't recognise my smartphone anymore. It used to work great, but suddently stopped working. I've tried all kinds of solutions and nothing works.
My watch has a terrible data connection with my mac as well. I think the contacts on the charging cradle don't work too well, because it maintains the connection if I hold it in the cradle tightly.
An easier solution is to go completely wireless. Turn on developer settings by tapping the build number. Then you should be able to get an adb connection over WiFi. Install File Manager +. It's got an ftp server that lets you transfer files directly.

Problems connecting to PC

Hey guys. I'm sorry if this has already been posted, but I've searched everywhere on the internet and could not find this same problem. No troubleshooting tips helped either.
I own a Lenovo P2 and until recently I could connect to the PC via USB without any problems. Now, my PC doesn't recognize the phone at all. I mean that it doesn't even show up as faulty device or searching for drivers.
With no computer does my phone connect anymore.
The USB cable is not faulty either, nor the PC USB ports and the phone's jack, and the option for MTP is selected. Despite all this it only charges.
Here is the catchy part as the USB configuration setting seems bugged out for me. No matter which option I choose, MTP will show up as selected, yet the phone will only charge.

Debug USB

Hi, when I connect my Poco with USB cable to my computer the installation of the drivers are ok, windows found the device.
But when i open it the Poco's window is completely white and empty: no files, no folders...there is not the SD card...
I would like to transfer flies from pc to phone by USB connection but it seems impossibile!!
The error message is: "the device has stopped responding or has been disconnected"
P.S.
Debus USB activate, windows 7
Did you change USB connection mode from charging to transfer files? You know, after tapping on notification appearing after USB connection?
Another issue (encountered by me), even with correct connection mode, Pocophone device in Windows 10 (maybe in Windows 7 is the same) remains empty if connected thru an additional USB3 hub. Direct connection to one of USB ports in PC case works flawlessly.

Oh kat, I've got it!! :good:
The different thing I have done from this morning is to disable and after enable developer option...now I can see the 2 folders on the PC in the Poco window: SD memory and internal memory!!
Don't know why...but works!!
Thank You so much!! :good:
