LG framework-res and lge-res needed - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi great peeps,
So I started moding, (Disclaimer: I am like noob in this field), more specifically porting stock apps, have already ported Sony mail. Now I was thinking to port my beloved vendor LG's apps. But unfortunately, I don't have access to any LG device, sad life.
Please send me, framework-res.apk and lge-res.apk if possible.
Thanks

Just download the firmware for the device you used and extract those files from it...

Actually I wanted to port apps, that's why I needed it, but thank you.
Can I mount it in some virtual machine.

Actually I got them from g8 rom, still wondering is that's possible

[Q] Porting XPeria Apps to CyanogenMOD9?

Hello Xperia Guyz,
I am from Samsung Galaxy Ace Forums. I wanted to develop a new ROM for my device but I find a difficulty in it. I wanted help from the awesome developers here. I want to ask if there is any way to port the stock Xperia Apps to CM9?
I want Apps like Messaging, Contacts and Dialer from Xperia 2012 to CM9 is there any way to do so?
IN our device, to get a stock app work on non stock based ROMs, we had to copy some framework and system files. Please help me in doing this.
Thanks in Advance
You'll need to do a lot of disassembling/assembling to make it work. Simply put, it's not worth it.
No way like copying some framework and xml files??
And They say porting tw is difficult...
No.
Seems like I would need to work upon a theme then....
Still, thanks

[Q] [HELP]porting other rom's systemui/framework-res to own rom

hey guys I really want to know this, is it possible to port other rom's(compatible with my phone) systemui&framework-res to the current rom I'm using?
There's a particular rom that I really like the theme(framework&syatemui). But that rom is so unstable I just can't afford to use it everytime. So i think that maybe I could just port that rom's theme to my phone? But I dont have any idea how to.
Please guys I really want to know this thing. I'll be grateful if someone could help me with this problem.
somebody?
Get a decent compare software (I recommend Beyond Compare) and merge res folders in the decompiled apps.
Porting the UI that way requires lots of time, but is possible.
If you want to port smali stuff, procedure will be harder, I cant tell you how this works tho, as I havent managed to do it myself.

decompile SystemUI.apk

Hi guys,
I have a problem with my System.UI. I can't decompile it because I obtain always an error...in every programs (Tickle,Multitool...). I want to edit lines in .xml for my custom ROM.
However, with the Framework-res.apk or settings-apk it works perfectly. I don't understand...
So If someone could help me decompiling System-UI.apk with other method, I'd be very grateful to him
Of course I join two files (framework-res.apk and systemUI.apk) in attachment.
Thanks really
Bests regards
Nobody... ?
PLease

I have same problem. Hope to someone can help.????
Post the error log and maybe someone will help you. Posting the apks does nothing really.
Also if your making a custom rom but cant fix a simple error then you might want to rethink things.
Also if your building a custom rom then just edit the source before to compile the build.
Finally it works. Why ? I don't know lol
Maybe it is :
-I took systemUI.apk from stock ROM (yes i changed apk from stock ROM to try)
-or I deleted mediatek-res.apk of folder names ''other'' of APKmultitool

I don't know the right way of deodex your rom. I used deodexer tool develop by BDFreak. First I extracted all system app and framework files from system and framework folder to my PC. Then deodex all system and framework files then replace in my system and framework folder and delete remaining dex files.
If you get better way to do that then go for it. Do it on your own risk.
Even if that thing you did would work for my phone id have a hard time doing it from the limited info you said Im quite a newbie when it comes to phones. But im not sure its for my phone, I think I need a specific program for my phone, not sure tho..

Every android can deodex by using deodex tool. It is not meant for specific model. Copy your system apps and framework files to pc. Deodex and again transfer to your to android. You can make flashable zip to add deodex apps and jar files to your android.
