I have a HUAWEI phone that after an upgrade to MIUI 12.5 is not showing any longer the icons on the status bar for silent notifocations.
I know it must be a HUAWEI MIUI 12.5 bug, but I am wondering if tehre's a way to enable this via adb or other means. The options is not in settings/notifications/advanced

I have just upgraded from ICS 4.0.4
to jellybean 4.1.2 b509 from huawei German site
Its OK just the notification bar has no buttons
And also the the notification option in settings app is inactive
Is that some thing related to difference in location?
I'm in Egypt

Just updated my phone but, now can't find a way to turn off message preview from status bar tried everything, it's driving me crazy while playing games or watching videos. Help please.
Go to Settings > Notification panel & status bar > Notification center. Once there, go to each app and disable the Banner option
I have it switches off and the notifications still manage to pop up/preview
is there a way to disable the notification bar on homescreen , like hide the time, battery bar, network bar, etc on homescreen without getting rid of the notch. cause the black bar is really bad looking. I'm on miui 10 global stable version

I bought a Xiaomi mi 8 and I got the MIUI Global Stable 10.2.1.0 update. Now I realized that all the notifications are getting bad default configuration by default (for all application).
All the notifications emitted by all applications are always getting the same settings :
no sound
no lockscreen permission
no floating notification
no notification led
It sound stupid to me because we are forced to miss the first notification of each category of every app before being able to change the settings manually.
Even worst, some applications creates new notification category for every new notification. As it is not possible to configure notification for a category that is not yet created, there is no way to enable them.
Is there a way to change those notification settings to have sound, vibration and lockscreen permission by default for all notifications of all applications ?

yeah lots of things regarding notifications are ****ed up since the android pie update.
For example you CANNOT change the notification sound for emails/gmal anymore.

That's the second most annoying thing about the "new" notification system of MIUI 10.
But the default notification settings are even worst. You won't be notified at all if an app create a notification of a new category when your phone is locked.
Anyway, still looking for a solution...
On the official forum, the announcement is that:
"1. Notification dismissed from status bar, expect to keep notification showing in status bar
Already added this feature in the latest open beta. You may need to change the settings of status bar to apply it after updated."
On the beta - but I dont get what they mean when they say "expect to keep notification showing in status bar". Right now the notifications still seem to be showing for a bit and then being replaced by the clock. Any ideas?.
