Samsung A02s runs on 32-bit firmware.
But, it also supports 64-bit firmware, which means you can install almost any GSI Custom ROM since it supports treble.
Haven't tried installing one yet but will test and see if I can do it.

Hi! Sadly, there's no custom rom built specifically for A02s but it is compatible with arm32_binder64 GSIs with A/B Partition Style. I successfully installed a TrebleDroid version of Android 13, here's the proof.

Wow! I was going to test it but thank god I found someone who already did!
I will make a thread regarding installing GSI roms on A02s once I try it myself so that I can help other do it.

Have you been able to install Gapps on it? I got my twrp from this and got my gApps from NikGapps since the original one doesn't have Gapps for Android 13.
But when flashing it, I got an 'insufficient space' error. When doing some research, I found out that the /data partition can be resized to give space to /system and /product for it to be able to install.
But there doesn't seems to be an option to resize it. Tried with resize2fs but got an error saying that the block specified doesn't exist.

Sadly nope, installing gapp on an Android 13 GSIs on this device is pretty hard. Tried numerous flavors but to no avail. LiteGApps is kinda working for me but the Play Store only shows No Internet Access, it can be substitute with Aurora Store tho (but it would be nice if it works). Other than Play Store, everything seems to work fine.
Installing GSIs with gapps preinstalled has Google app always crashing (one GSI I used shows that its using a arm64 build of Google app which will obviously crash on our a64 devices). I guess things would be much better if a custom rom or an arm64 TWRP and kernel was built specifically for this device.

The kinda stable GSI I found so far in this device was LineageOS 19.1 a64 bgN. Google apps works flawlessly but universalsafetynetfix was causing the system to crash so F.

Yeah I was also having this issue. I was wondering what was causing the crash lol.
It seems that no SafetyNet fixing method is working. I even tried the built-in option to spoof the device properties for safetynet to work in TrebleDroid Lineage OS 20 but this also made the device crash.

Found a fix for the No internet access issue. All you have to do is go into the app's info in Settings and go to Mobile data and WiFi and give it internet access.
The Gapps Integration I'm using is BitsGapps which supports arm devices and Android 13. I installed it through Magisk. But it can also be flashed through TWRP.
But LiteGapps is also good.
A fix for the no space issue when trying to flash Gapps is flashing a GSI Image that's 1GB or 500MB (Depends on how much free space you want) larger than the image through fastboot and then flashing the Lineage OS image through TWRP.
TWRP doesn't resize partitions when flashing an image (which leads to some free space remaining) but fastboot does. This gave me the idea to do this and it worked.
Now I have a working Android 13 GSI with Gapps working flawlessly!

[Deprecated][Bacon][7.1.1][LineageOS]Lineage OS Unofficial Nightlies

Deprecated take a look at this post
Lineage OS unofficial nightlies for the OnePlus One!!
These builds pick up where cm nightlies left off.
I've not made any changes to the source files, so these builds are vanilla Lineage. Builds are made from the repos located at https://github.com/LineageOS
Requirements: You must be running cm already, stable or nightly build.
FAQ:
Q: Can I flash this over a cm nightly that I'm already running?
A: Yes!
Q: Do I need to flash gapps if I was not using a nightly before?
A: Yes!
Q: Are otas available?
A: No, I don't have a server to host the otas on.
Edit: OTAs are now available starting from lineage-14.1-20170104-UNOFFICIAL-bacon.zip.
I plan to post nightlies every day until LineageOS gets a build server setup.

Save for the kernel string, it's literally an unbranded build of CM.
Functionally identical to the final CM builds for bacon. Same stability.

I don't think Lineage has an official boot logo/animation yet, that's why you see the aosp "android" text.
Good Job @Programming4life
Thanks a lot! So odd question anyway you can make a user build instead of userdebug and with ro.debuggable = 0 ? Once the su disable patch makes it through should be able to run all the apps without deroot and using magisk I think if that's the case. Currently I have to use a bunch of magisk scripts to use Pokemon GO, Miitomo, Android Wear, and Android Pay but currently Android Pay doesn't seem to work but it might be because it's user debug not user according to what this one lineage os dev said.
Also, there are two other bugs YouTube gets stuck on 60fps videos. The last one is it can't play certain wav codec audio files that Allo uses for message sounds.
Other than these few bugs the cm14.1 builds have been almost perfect.

I pass safety net just fine with magiskhide activated.
Just flash the unsu script by osmosis (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63615067) and afterwards install magisk and phh superuser zips (don't forget to download the phh superuser app from google play) and enable magisk hide in magisk manager.
Can't talk about android pay though as it's not available in germany

Passing SafetyNet let's you play Pokemon GO it doesn't let you use Android Pay or Miitomo.
Miitomo detects that ro.debuggable = 1 in the kernel. There is a magisk script I use to fix this however.
Android Pay requires other things and I was hoping to get a regular user build to see if the gui pops up when I try to use it at a terminal. Currently nothing happens if you touch a terminal even though you pass SafetyNet and can add a card to it. NFC works normally for everything else.
What I was told here https://review.lineageos.org/#/c/154019/
"PGo only detects su and removing (or even renaming) it does the trick. As for Android Pay, it indeed only works in user builds with release keys and verifiedbootstate has to be hidden: https://review.lineageos.org/#/c/152044/."
We have a thread about this for our device. Myself and a few others are trying to get to the bottom of the actual problem and try and fix it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3504989

Pixel Experience ROM for the Galaxy Note 9
What is this?
Pixel Experience is an AOSP based ROM, with Google apps included and all Pixel goodies (launcher, wallpapers, icons, fonts, bootanimation)
Our mission is to offer the maximum possible stability and security, along with essential features for the proper functioning of the device
Based on Android 8.1

What's working?
Everything seems to be working as on the official s9 los15 build; with minor exceptions (screen recording can sometimes be a lil buggy, nfc can be a lil hicky etc)
What's not working?
Obviously Samsung's own features such as Samsung Pay, KNOX, Theme Center, Game Launcher, etc. won't be ported to LineageOS Pixel Experience. We may have our own implementation to similar functions, though.
Iris sensor does not work because AOSP upstream does not support that yet.
IMS services (VoLTE, VoWiFi, etc). Samsung has their own proprietary implementation. It is not really possible to easily port that to LineageOS PixelExperience.

Disclaimer: This rom is not built by me. That has been done by @malinathani with some help from myself. After that he insisted that I make this thread :highfive:
Instructions:
Make sure TWRP has been installed and functional.
Download the latest build linked below
Reboot to recovery
Wipe data and cache (required if you switch from other ROMs). Even better if you have nothing to loose and wipe system, data, cache, storage etc
Flash the latest build (and gapps). DONT flash gapps. they are already included in the rom.
Reboot and enjoy :victory:

A: You did read the instructions and NOT flash any gapps riighhttt?? smh, wipe /system,/data and /cache and start over
Q: I have another bug; How can i tell it to you while slightly increasing my changes of it ever getting fixed.
A: You can tell me what's going on either here or on telegram WITH A LOGCAT attached(required);if rom isn't booting at all attach /proc/last_kmsg.

I totally agree, but give this a shot once, it's noticeably smooth compared to the gsis out there (I've used many myself) it also has dual speakers working. As for pie gsis they have this animation lag while switching and opening apps. Give it a shot and I hope you'll like it.

Thank you. Great to have specific support just for Note9!
I've tried other GSIs from Treble forums and yes on those roms only mono audio output works and also had brightness issues last time I tried it. I will try this out

I flashed it and I gotta say, this is very good. I'll keep this as my daily driver if I don't run into any issues which I haven't so far
I really like that there's bixby button custom options included. Rom is super smooth. Definitely smoother than other GSIs on the treble forums. Dual speakers are working but volume seems lower than stock (can anyone confirm this?)
Regarding the vendor, I am using ARH6 vendor. Like I said, so far I haven't gotten any issues.
I think you should include in OP that root isn't included. I flashed Magisk zip and it works fine though

How well does it handle memory? I heard AOSP roms on GS9 doesn't keep apps in memory as well as stock.
Also for the low volume thing. Have you tried Dolby Atmos? It has always helped me in the past with my phones.
Okay so.. I'm having a weird issue. The rom was working perfectly fine and then it started to register every single tap as a long press. Every time I touch the screen, it registers a long press. If this issue can be fixed, everything else was working great. At first, I thought it was because I installed magisk modules but I just uninstalled magisk completely and the issue is still there. Logcat is attached.
@Fiso I'll try Dolby Atmos and keep an eye on memory as soon as the touchscreen issue goes away.

Yeah it isn't the module. I've done some more tests. The issue only happens if I install or restore multiple applications. Not sure why. Can you tell me what vendor you use?
Also, the keyboard seems sluggish. I don't mean the UI, like the touch responsivenes? If you type really fast, keyboard can't keep up (compared to stock)? Can you confirm this?

I would recommend you to reinstall apps only from playstore and not restore them because that is known to break stuff. I have no lag issues even on keyboard which you are saying. if you still have issues you can try with ARH5 vendor.

[ROM] [UNOFFICIAL] LineageOS 18.1- microG Edition

Intro(Skip at your wish xd):
Hello guys, it's kind of frustrating that our 4a 5G don't get much love here(in custom ROM development perspective) as Pixel 5 as it's not really a "main" variant.
For myself, I love Pixel devices for Google releases "proper" device tree and most necessary stuff, but still it require quite some time for me to get things right and a working ROM build, hell, to be honest, I spent like about 30 hrs already as this is my first time to use AOSP tree + vendor blobs from Google site to build ROMs)
Despite the lack of previous experience, the first build that I'm releasing here, is working quite well, I haven't discovered any (device-specific) bug just yet, anyway, let's continue

Instructions:
0. Make sure your bootloader is unlocked
1. Download ROM zip from the link below, and grab Magisk patched boot.img inside the folder as well if you want root access
2. Reboot to bootloader
2.5. Flash updated bootloader.img and radio.img from Google site
3. Use `fastboot -w update LineageOS_microG-bramble-(BUILD DATE HERE)-userdebug-signed.zip` to flash
and yes, you can omit the "-w" parameter if you're not flashing for the first time, aka just updating from previous release
4(optional). Hopefully after flashing you'll be booted into LineageOS, reboot to bootloader again,
and flash the Magisk patched boot.img extracted from the 7z file with `fastboot flash boot magisk_patched.img`,
reboot after finished
5. Enjoy!

3. If mobile data doesn't work after update, try select/set APN manually(select whatever APN first, then select the correct one after)

Awesome, thank you!
I've never heard of the MicroG before so just looked that up. I'm loving that philosophy so I'm definitely gonna be checking that out! Thanks! My pixel is arriving tomorrow so after playing around with it first, I'll try out your ROM once there's more responses from others here.

LineageOS 18.0 is Android 11, but XDA didn't update the option menu so I chose Android 10.

Took a while for this thread to pop back up after forum migration..
Thanks for the awesome work
Is anyone using this ROM as their daily driver? I'm still reluctant to risk my warranty
I guess I will roll the dice and give it a go. Anyone know if this will affect my e-sim with Google Fi?
Thank you, dic1911 for being so awesome to bring first rom to Bramble, which is almost brand-new! I appreciate your work and we are really glad for it.

It won't affect Google Fi.
Thanks. It looks great and runs good but I’m obviously missing something. I tried installing GApps via ADB side load and no matter which size Nikhil version I attempt to install, I get an error there’s not enough memory. I’ve rebooted after flashing to the rom and also done a factory reset to no avail. What am I missing? I’ve also tried it with and without the patched boot.img.

Does this rom use seedvault like mainline lineageos? Or is google backup in here even with microg?

Warranty? Should not effect that. I wouldn't think it would. Bootloader is unlockable and google even gives the option to flash aosp vanilla(no google) or public (official google rom) with their flashing tool (via chrome browser).
Are Pixel-Exclusive features such as Now Playing, Live Captions, Call Screening, Adaptive Sound, Screen Attention included and working?
Any issues getting safetynet to pass?

This is Lineage... You install this one to get privacy and free yourself from Gapps. You might be able to get most features running, but then you just can stay with stock - privacy is then gone again...

SeedVault is builtin system app for all LineageOS builds, no matter it's official or not, if it's not there in someone else's build, either it's removed by the builder or the build is too old.
So yes, SeedVault is in my build, but there's no guarantee that it works with any apps just like Google Backup(which I found pretty much useless in my case)
PS. I'm not really as active as I was on xda since about 2 years ago, please join Telegram for more updated stuff
PPS. I released GCam extracted from stock ROM and modified to make it work on LineageOS(and pretty much any custom ROM with right stuff baked in), and yes, you'll need to flash updated build from my Telegram channel (It's more convenient for me to upload to Telegram as the storage space there is unlimited)
LineageOS 18.1 is up!
Now with December security patch, grab it from the link in OP

If you are on other base rom, best practice is to factory reset prior to flash rom and new gapps.
After this steps if rom does not boot, probably you are encrypted, remove encryption and repeat the steps.
If after removing encryption rom still does not boot, make a factory reset again after flashing rom and gapps, then all will be fine.
Please be sure you are using one TWRP that can handle firmware flash
Advise to use latest official TWRP
Also be sure you are using proper firmware.
Relative to gapps, the advised ones is pico package since nano its now too big to install ( ARM):
OTA built in on rom for updates easly
Three fingers screenshot ( enable in settings over gestures options )
Support out of the box to microG GmsCore ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...oftware-clone-of-google-play-services.3217616 )
No more need to make microG system app
PoGO: Gonna catch then all ( Always report using real GPS in case of mock location been used )
Nethunter/Kali supported
What does not works:

Thanks for this Rod. Working good for me.
Not too much different from normal LoS but appreciated, thanks for keeping the OPO alive. Checked it out and everything is working smoothly, no major bugs, crashes or anything so far.

Thats normal, the base it self its Los, the diference its on having 3 finger screenshot, microg nogapps support, nethunter support and mock locations apps the system report real GPS instead of mock app ( Pokemon will not ban for using mock location app ), support for face unlock its WIP ( no eta )
Hi, I've read somewhere that for new roms (Starting from Android 10) need to resize system partition. I've currently run 7.1.2 Rom, do I need to do the resize for this ROM? Thanks!

If the rom fail to flash its because you need to make that, but on OPO if you did not messed with the partitons before you will be probably just fine flashing and no need to resize. The issue is not really rom problem, the problem its when flashing gapps that will ask for more space, but that is most for bigger gapps packaging, it you use the nano or base package you will have no issues flashing. Sorry for late answer mate !
Hi Daniel, thanks for your reply! Will probably use a pico gapps package. Anyone used MindTheGapps?

One or another should be fine, if use open gapps pick the small package and then install the rest trough Play Store !
Will do! thank you very much!
I'm not able to flash opengapps pico : error 70
I tried to resize system partition but not being able...
@danieldmm can you help me?
@danieldmm
I can confirm what amadeumagalhaes wrote above. Gapps pico won't install.
I've installed Magisk, got root and I tried deleting some system files to make more space but all apps I've used gave me the same message: uninstall failed. I used SD Maid, System app remover, My Android Tools.
Any ideas?
P.S.1 Instead of opengapps pico, I've flashed mindthegapps. No issues flashing it even if it's larger than opengapps pico. The issue with deleting system files remains unchanged.

A bunch of us had this same problem with @Tomoms ROM. He managed to fix this in recent releases.
I have no issues on whatsapp. On Tomoms ROM thread it says to restart the app until the overexposure is gone.

If you have still 1.0 you cannot use OTA since the system its down, to use OTA you need to update the Updater you have on 1.0, will drop on bottom a update apk of Updater if you are on 1.0 and prefer to use OTA, just install as regular app updating the system one. And then use the built OTA to update from 1.0 to 2.0, you can also check the change log after updating the updater, its too big to post here, it have all the changes commited to lineageos since my last build. Enjoy guys, long live to OPO

Hi, @inthedthank you for your reply, it says that vbmeta partition is not accesible through adb when i try to flash it (failed) any workaround with that?
Hi I am kind of noobish to GSIs but I got the google built android 13 GSI working on my s23 last night, couldn't get pixel experience to boot. CrDroid would boot but I was getting a lot of random trips to the bootscreen during set-up.
Haven't tried android 14 yet, but the procedure was pretty simple for android 13 GSI. I had already unlocked bootloader/rooted my s23 before attempting this, which included flashing vbmeta_disabled
Downloaded official google android 13 GSI
Install TWRP with Odin
Reboot to recovery and wiped data
Reboot then into fastboot inside of TWRP
flashing gsi using fastboot: fastboot flash system system image
restarted went through set-up and downloaded Magisk and Pixelfy magisk mod and I am pretty content
If anyone knows how to get another GSI like Pixel Experience or CrDroid to work reliably I am super interested

Hi guys, sorry for the delay. The stock 13 GSI was pretty good albeit not perfect. Smoothness was very nice after force enabling 120hz through adb (battery life is notably worse, as you would expect).
Feels just about as smooth as stock, which is pretty good IMO.
This was the stock google build, so no fingerprint or face unlock. I would imagine custom GSIs would fix some of this.
However I eventually returned to stock since I post videos on social media apps a lot, and the generic camera API on the GSI made it pretty bad to look at.
Fun to try out, just wasn't ready for my needs yet.
I also did try to flash the original recovery for PEX like the user above me mentioned, still no dice. I have been out of the Android scene for a few years prior to this so it is probably something I am doing.
Hope this helps, thanks!

I have tested a few of them. Only bugs are fingerprint scanner, Always on display and VoLTE. It can be used as a daily driver if you can live with these bugs. For me it's fine.

The "Light" version by Andy Yan is the best one for S23U. There's a camera app already included. As for gcam, the one by "Shamim" works but only ultra wide lens. Better use the one included as it has switching between lenses all working.
Bugs are:
AOD
Fingerprint scanner
VoLTE
I think the first 2 can be fixed with Overlays that are flashed using Magisk. It's possible to have a almost 99% working GSI on S23U
You can make phone calls but it will be over 3G networks (not that bad really) and not through 4G as VoLTE still doesn't work
You can easily pass safety net with universal safetynet fix "MOD version" and Google Wallet also works after passing Safetynet
