To all the BRICKED MI 8 Users!

Credits go to this thread: http://en.miui.com/thread-3754714-1-1.html and copy the prewritten email and send it to global Xiaomi support!
And participate in the movement, so we can achieve an answer from Xiaomi!!!
"You may have seen my first thread on my email correspondence with Xiaomi customer support and their useless answer here:

There's an update today with more of the same. I got the other boiler plate about the "server process" and how to "be patient":
>From: service.global [email protected]

>Also, I would request you to kindly wait for some
>time regarding the authorization of the Mi Account as
>it is server process so, it may take some time. Till the
>time, I would request you to keep some patience. We

>Please get in touch with us if you need any further assistance.
I don't think we need "to be patient". We must be polite, but persistent.
So, go and ask Xiaomi for a clear and responsible attitude. If you have the bricked phone problem, don't just spend time on the forums. Send an email to the Xiaomi customer service!

Hi. Thousands of users, including myself {MI ID ______} , are facing the ARB-bricked Xiaomi
phones issue.
There are literally thousands of people with soft-bricked phones due to your poorly announced
and poorly executed ARB decision, which is contrary to Xiaomi's past policies and promises
of hardware openness.
The hottest topics on the MIUI forums are about Xiaomi not addressing the issue.
It is literally a flood. Here are some, and some that have been there for weeks.
http://en.miui.com/thread-3612759-1-1.html
http://en.miui.com/thread-3307173-1-1.html

Xiaomi's poor decision bricked thousands of new phones.
Some users did get authorizations, most of us were left hanging.
There are now scammers who post offers to unbrick for money, who ask
people for remote access to their PC and phone. Xiaomi is putting many, many
of its customers at unacceptable risks because of the stubborn refusal to
provide the required access in a timely manner. This is completely unacceptable.
You must not reply with boilerplate excuses, but with a solution.
Please don't stall, and explain your policy and "the server process" fairly to
everyone.
And please authorize my (and everyone else's) account for EDI flashing.
Best regards:"

It's ok to ask Xiaomi for a statement but you cant really blame Xiaomi for the bricks.
They sell 2 kind of devices :
CHINA and Global.
China are supposed to work only in china and you should not "hack" them with unlocking+flashing others rom.
Global is what you are supposed to buy if you want a Xiaomi phone.
It's simple, at least read before unlock/flash things. That's why people have bricks now. It's written everywhere, with china model you CANT relock bootloader if global is on it. Easy. If you are touching bootloader is supposed that you know what you are doing, otherwise dont do it.

Most people buying Xiaomi devices on Chinese online stores don't know that policy and the seller didn't tell anything nor Xiaomi till a few weeks.
Xiaomi should stop selling hijacked devices.

Then fun fact is that. Xiaomi dont officially sell hijacked devices.
Resellers do it.
They buy stock of chinese devices and then "hack" with some EDL or something to unlock bootloader immediatly, flashing global and "advertising" it like a Global Phone. Some tell you that is unlocked+global, others dont.
For example, my case. Mi8 from eGlobal on eBay. It should've been STOCK Cinese Phone, with locked bootloader and just english or chinese language. It arrived with unlocked bootloader and global rom on it.
You can't really blame Xiaomi...
is it possible to unlock bootloader with a authorised Account immediatly? Or do i have to wait the 720h?

I am getting an MI 8 from AliExpress and the phone is a China variant with unlocked bootloader + global ROM on it. I know I can't relock the bootloader as it has a global ROM.
Couple of questions:
1. After I add my MI account to the device, will I be able to debrick it if it ever gets bricked?
2. Since it was unlocked by some reseller's account, it's tied to their account and only they can unlock it if it's bricked?
3. Only way to relock is to flash the China ROM and unlock it using my MI account (after 720 hours)?
1 depends the way u brick...
2 no... after the unlock, they remove the account from the phone.
3 u awnsered your on question. if you flash china rom, u will relock.. if u unlock after that, u will unlock the boot loader again.
Honestly, I also experienced this. My Mi 8 Bootloop into Recovery/Softbrick. I did use someone's services to make My Mi 8 work again without opening the phone. Cause in my country Xiaomi does not provide warranty for non official product.

I think you re-locked the bootloader after flashing Global ROM. You can unbrick it in 2 ways:
1. Unlock the bootloader again and flash Global Fastboot ROM keeping bootloader unlocked.
2. Use MiPCSuite V3 and flash China ROM again.
Thanks,

Kontak XFT Indonesia/Xiaomi Flashing Team.
Ada di Facebook akun FP sama Grupnya, coba dicek yg lokasi Jabodetabek.
i had the same issue.
unlocked bootloader - flashed Global miui 10 .. Bootlooped to recovery..
all you have to do is connect to the mi unlock tool and go through the unlock process.. it will boot up into miui 10.
@navin_n, @Dalendra7,
MiPCSuite V3 seems to work !... But it only accepted to flash the ROM that I already flashed via MiFlash and which bricked my phone, which is Global 10.0.2.0
So MiPCSuite V3 works but I can't install either an older global version or a Chinese version, older or more recent.
Except for EDL and test point, what are our options ?
Thanks

EDL and Test Point

Unbrick Mi8 without EDL Authorized Account (MiFlash bypass)

UNDER TESTING
Hello XDA Community
I am new here, and 2 days ago i got my MI 8 Bricked and i saw a lot of users with that problem, so i want to revolution this
I tried to reverse engineering XiaoMIFlash and try to bypass EDL Authentification
I DONT HAVE TESTED IT, it took me 2/3 hours and i don't really know if it working (I Can't test it because i dont have any bricked phone at the moment)
I am alone doing this, maybe this community want to support me and help and make it a great bypass
DOWNLOAD LINK : https://mega.nz/#!rZZyRC7C!_EncWKE4rpt4JJv7Pz_pKgfRdhINnkvC0qWbvnPFVYg (NOT WORKING, FIXING)
(If someone have C# knowledge and want to give some help, i'm here <3)
How it works?
I tried to avoid EDLSign verification, using fake details and removing Exceptions
How to use?
Boot your phone in EDL Mode throw TEST POINTS
Connect your USB Cable to the phone
Login with your MI Account into the flasher
Select the correct rom (China = China, Global = Global) (China + Global = Brick) !!I Have removed the "Clean All and Lock" Option!!
Flash it
Let me know <3
Best regards
not working for me

But now i want to bypass this authentification and stop these scammers earning money easily
I'm going to fix this script as soon as possible , now probably doesn't work and my MI 8 is not bricked so i can't test to make sure is 100% working
I search for someone that know better than me how "QsaharaServer" works and give me help developing this crack
While my mi8 is not bricked this is great of you. I really hope you can make it coz a lot of people had their phones damaged because of stupid ARB.

I own a mi 8 global to remove the account on miui 10 already in Edl mode, if you can serve I can give you access to the device via USB on the internet or through a teamviewer session if you need to create a working program.

I guess you're aware of Whyred affair, someone finally found the bypass. There's a thread with a guide, in miui forums I think. The trick is of course in the ROM used to flash in EDL. Maybe you can contact the thread author and receive some guidance about the changes he made in the ROM.
Edit: there are plenty of threads with the same solution I was writing about but this is the original thread where everything began:

My guess is that you bought a Chinese phone with global software?
If so, you are a victim of a corrupt vendor. I have read on Mi Forums the fastest solution to unbrick phones in this scenario is to contact the vendor and due to push back from Xiaomi management pressuring large distributors such as BangGood and TaoBao to do something about the scam , that many of these vendors are now willing to provide you with their Mi account and password which will allow you to unbrick for your device for no charge.
I am digressing a bit here. But I don't understand, how these 3rd party scammers are able to unlock devices that are not linked to their accounts. My Mi account has my Xiaomi phones and non -Xiaomi phones that I had previously used Miui Roms on.
Try contacting the vendor and report back here if that works, for you.
@ Damo1111
Don't fall for that scam, I tried unlocking my moms bootloader with my account and it didn't work because her phone is linked to her account.

I am here with mi locked mi8. I dont have access to mi account bound to this phone. Tried s-unlock, they logged in with their account, i used test point method to enter qualcomm mode, phone flashed ok, but mi lock remained there. It seems that i payed for nothing!
If i can help, contact me here.

It is because xiaomi has restricted user from flashing via edl mode on their product..you need authorized mi account to do that which is only authorized mi service center own that such account..
You can read any related post or forum to know more..
On the mean time, do not buy xiaomi product if you want to messing around with it..go to oneplus instead or maybe google pixel if you want
