Overheating. - Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite Questions & Answers

Hello. Please what can I do to my phone overheating? Ever since i updated my phone to MIUI Global 12.1.6 stable it has been overheating. Draining the battery so much quicker and take much time to charge because of this overheating.

overheating reasons:
- some app is using your cpu 24/7 -> uninstall some apps and check again. (maybe a taskmanager app can show you which app is using your CPU)
- virus/trojan on your phone and uses constantly cpu -> factory reset

Stop using autokiller apps. If you want to kill apps, do it manually.
I've never had better battery life since the 2.1 upgrade. Here are some suggestions from my experience.
1. Get Juice Defender free from Market, do setup and change nothing.
2. Get Startup Auditor free. Disable face recognition, download manager, google talk service, mediascape update.
3. Get Advanced Task Killer and exclude ATK, Startup Auditor and Juice Defender. Kill everything else whenever you go to lock your phone after doing something.
4. Only use Wifi when you need to, otherwise turn it off, GPS as well.
5. A 3G toggle wouldn't hurt either.
6. Use a wall charger as indicated otherwise if from PC charge in airplane mode.
7. Put your screen brightness below 50%.
8. Widgets like weather apps on your homescreen suck up batt life.
If I get into the 70% range of battery after a day's use now it's rare.
Good luck!

Try going to SETTINGS, ABOUT PHONE, BATTERY USE.
You will be able to see what the top drains are, I do not use any special apps to limit battery use and get only 4 - 8% drain over night. Leave Bluetooth off and turn off display.
Just for the record, juice defender makes no difference to battery life on either of my x10i's since 2.1.
I just trimmed out junk apps and use a task killer to manually kill a few apps I don't often use.
Finally, make sure twitter, facebook, etc are not set to check automatically unless you wish them too. I only check stuff like that a few times a day, no need for them to check x times an hour.

hi...
@Lord Takyon,Tony_C,Smoked33,pabling19,xateeq, thanks for the reply will try out the steps mentioned..
i at first had poor battery life with the x10 2.1. that was actually when i used task panel x and juice defender on it... after a couple of days, though, i figured screw it and rooted the phone and uninstalled all useless apps on it. then i just went and uninstalled juice defender and task panel x. they actually caused battery drain on my phone lol. now i have no battery saving apps running on my phone and it lasts me at least 18 hours of medium usage.
my advice is let android do the battery saving. don't d/l battery saving apps since they run in the background and cause more battery drain.
Yeah - I've been through the whole juice defender, task killer, start up auditor things..... waste of time.. they do more harm than good..
You need to use something like Task Manager (by Rhythm Software) to see what's running - set any persistent tasks/ apps to ignore, and ONLY use it to kill apps which you think are stopping the phone from sleeping..randomly killing things will at best cause your battery to drain quicker (because the processor then has to restart them).. or at worst cause instability because critical tasks aren't running.
Set auto update frequencies to less frequent.. consider how often you view the app during the day and go along those lines.. don't put too many auto updating widgets on your homescreens..

High Processor Usage of ADB-Daemon ADBD

Hey guys,
I'm currently running into a problem where I (and the internet) don't have an explanation.
i'm logging processor usage using SystemPanel (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nextapp.systempanel.r1) and displaying CPU stats using CPU Spy.
The log of System Panel shows, that ADBD is unsing 16% of CPU time over large periods (e.g. over night). CPU Spy shows that the processor is goping to deep sleep.
How can I get further information on the ADB Daemon and how can I prevent it from using cpu when the phone is asleep WITHOUT turning off usb debugging every time i'm finished?
My phone is latest german stock rom, rootet but no system apps deinstalled (yet..)
thanks for your help!
-Acid
anybody?!
Do you notice heavy battery drain? It sounds to me that it uses 16% out the little power that is used overnight. So it would hardly affect battery life at all. Does adbd show up if you look at the usage of a regular day?

Question regarding battery

I recently installed LS 4.0 on my Razr Maxx and noticed on my break at work i was at around 35% battery, then 2 hours later when i got off work i was at 3%, in that time i didnt have any apps open so the drain dosent make any sense. I took a screenshot of the battery graph for reference: http://i.imgur.com/MyUDnNT.png
As you can see on the graph it randomly drops off there and then goes down at a pretty brisk pace. I wasent using the phone from 6pm to 8pm, right around the time it dropped all that battery.
Could this be due to my battery just dieing out or is it possibly a issue with the rom?

Please describe more information like:
1. was your network set in 3G? LS battery isn't really good with 3G
2. what number of app you are using? social media apps that always updating their data i.e google+, fb, etc --> would increase data usage when they synchronize.
3. please check whether your razr went to deep sleep.
Solution:
1. Set to 2G always and go to 3G if you want faster speed (download the 2g/3g toggle widget for L)
2. Uninstall those app if you're not using it or limit their synchronize routine by the app itself or using profile in Tasker (advanced method)
3. you should installed wakelock monitor app from Play Store
If battery drain were persist when you have done those troubleshoot and solution, you should try to calibrate your battery (leave it shutdown automatically after reaching low level and then charge it until 100%, go + 1 hour to make sure, go to recovery to check the % and then boot to your system and calibrate using calibration app from the Play Store).
Last one, if calibrate doesnt work, then the battery might be already dropped.
Also do check that location services etc are set to power save mode.
Use an app to check wakelock and disable that annoying app.
or may be you are right... lets hope not for your own wellness!
I also remember having that problem when I was on cm12. After my battery dropping insanely low, it kept long before the little juice left in it run out.
So i thinks its something with the 5.0 ROMs

Apps Responsible For Battery Drain

After having run 'Better Battery Stats' for several days and after several recharges, these were the following apps causing battery drain. This includes partial wakeups, Alarms, network use and processes.
The top apps for biggest battery loss were:
Whatsapp
Beautiful Widgets
Firefox
Swiftkey Keyboard
Gmail
Life 360
Other apps causing slight to moderate battery drain:
Google Play Store/Services
Album
Battery Doctor
Devices
DS Battery Saver
Handset SMS
Power Amp
Surf Easy
Talkray
Despite force closing the apps, they keep re-opening even though the internet is not running and the phone is supposed to be asleep...
Greenify is even running 24/7 but doesn't seem to help with the above apps. Hibernating all the above apps seem to make little to no difference and high battery usage is still an issue...
On screen time is just 2 hours 36 minutes and battery is at 23% and draining very fast with no use at all.
Any other way to stop the above apps from draining so much battery?
I've tried many different roms, kernals and apps but battery drain is an issue regardless...
Just come back from lunch. Battery is now 17%
Why has it dropped from 23% to 17% over a 2 hour period? The phone has not even been touched since I left it in the office...
Is it possible I have a defective battery or would it be due to bad apps?

Hi.
I'm using Stock ROM (4.4.4). I have more than a hundred of apps installed and my battery time is more than 5 hours with heavy use (screen on). I can't even imagine how many days the battery could work with the screen off.
Is the weak battery mode activated? Is Stamina on? Have you checked your battery details on the config panel? And what about the internet use? Is auto-synch off or at least are you scheduling when the apps can download background data? What about the system statistics about background data?
Are the GPS and bluetooth off when you're not using them? Please also remember wifi use way less battery than other mobile connections; that battery goes away faster with more brightness on the screen; and that you can get some more minutes if you let the auto-rotate off.
Have you checked if some app is preventing the "deep sleep" state?
If I was on your shoes, I'd uninstall all the 3rd-party battery utilities (even Greenify!) and I'd restart my Z Ultra.
^ Thanks for the reply Andre Verissimo. I too have 4.4.4 stock rom and only around 25 apps installed...
Stamina mode (power saving mode) is on 24/7 and brightness is set to around 50%.
I never use GPS/Satellite, bluetooth or data/mobile connection...
Auto sync and backround data are disabled...
I did track apps causing high usage. They were whatsApp, Firefox, Google Play, Battery Doctor & DS Battery Saver.
I'll try uninstalling several apps and see if it helps...
Seems I finally solved the battery leak issue.
I prevented bad apps from auto starting as well as to close once the phone has been put to sleep.
In other words, the battery will only be drained when in use. However, the phone appears to be in deep sleep since I manually set 'Battery Doctor' to kill/close apps when not in use as well as stop them from auto starting...
Only the battery draining apps have been selected to do so...
My phone has been on for 24 hours hours and my battery is still 85%
I will monitor battery usage over the next couple of days and report back with any update.
Regarding Beautiful Widgets: Are you talking about the free version or the paid one?
I am on the paid one (Pro) and it shows up as 0.3% on GSAM Battery Monitor. If you have experienced drain on that version, I will look for a different clock widget then (i.e. that it actually drains noticeably but in such a way that it doesn't show up as such).
I have the impression that the free version of Beautiful Widgets could be a drainer since it seems to be very happy to push a lot of ads and stuff.
Will try Battery Doctor and compare with Greenify.
Edit: I think Greenify is working properly on my device, i.e. it hibernates the apps properly.
your network signal greatly affects your battery and that will not show up on your battery usage stats

I'm on the paid version of Beautiful Widgets. The app has only affected my Processes. Usage is 9% . However, there are no alarms or wakeups from the app since I disabled them both using per app hacking...
I will search for an alternative to Greenify to hibernate apps. Only 3-4 apps are opening despite force closing and even preventing startup, alarms and wakeups...
Regardless of what I do, the following apps continue to run and launch even when not opened:
Photo Analyzer software
Mirror Link System
Devices
WhatsApp
Xperia extension for throw
Sweep Panorama
Creative effects
Camera
Albums
Screen Mirroring
How can I prevent the above apps from automatically launching and running? I blocked all listed programs from launching using both Battery Doctor & per app hacking yet they still re-open and run...

N26 Banking App Massive Battery Drain

Hi, for a few days I'm using N26 Banking App in UK and I noticed massive battery drain. It's caused by wakelock AudioMix. It looks like app is keeping audio device on even when it's not active and phone is idle.
Now I'm wondering is caused by some errors in my phone or app itself is bugged?
