Did you make sure to change the region over to Vietnam?
yo dude idk if the thread is dead but i wanted to unlock the bootloader of my realme 7 (cause it reached its eos) and i followed the (rolled back to ui 1.0 from the 3.0) and tried to download the in-depth test or deep test apk but i get the same error code
idk if i should root my device (not only for the custom ROMs but for the plugins and everything that root unlocks

I'm having terrible trouble unlocking the bootloader.
It's getting stuck at 50% after reading some posts, I've tried troubleshooting..
Logging in with my phone number, making sure it shows online etc etc I've got the permission text off xiaomi.
The steps I need is unlock bootloader
Install Twrp
Install cm13

I had the same ROM version, it's an unofficial custom MIUI made by the reseller. You might already have the bootloader unlocked.
I fixed this by flashing the global beta for MIUI 8 (which makes me think the bootloader was already unlocked). I didn't try unlocking any further, though, I just wanted to go to a supported ROM. What you have right now is not trustworthy.
This might work.
Theoretically, you flash the China Developer ROM from there, unlock bootloader, flash recovery then CM13

just download mi unlock tool . to unlock bootloader you have to be in china developer rom.remember this is an important step.i hope you know what i mean.
I've managed to unlock bootloader, I'm trying disable adb verity but unable to gain root on this China dev ROM, anyone know why this would happen? Do I have to install the modded boot image I was advised to do during twrp install?

2. Did you unlock the bootloader and want relock this?
3. The most important!!! How you unlocked the bootloader if you did unlock this? What the tools you used? The official Sony or from third part?

Well, I wanted to experiment with Gcam - Camera2api etc and other mods!
Since I can't find yet anything that works with this model, I wanted to re-lock the bootloader and remove the message on start up "Bootloader is unlocked etc etc" and also revert back to original firmware.
I used flashtool - latest version 9.28 (Androxyde) and successfully unlocked the bootloader!
When I tried to re-lock it (As I have done this with previous Xperia phones) I got the error in the 1st post!

I did the same thing using fastboot unlock command. But for now there's no way to fix this. Flashing the stock firmware, does not fix the issue. In fact it worked on some of the previous devices. But this time I don't see any solutions. I even tried so many commands using fastboot. But non of em worked. Let's hope that Sony will release some kind of commands to relock the bootloader.

TWRP doesn't have anything on their site.
I'd rather not use any of the One click rooters, but if I have to.......
Really just trying to get rid of the bloatware that comes installed on this device.
It's a Cricket phone, if that makes a difference.

I've tried following multiple guides to root my phone with IodeOS. However, anytime I try I keep getting various error messages. Most guides say I need to enable "OEM Unlock" in developer settings. I've had developer mode enabled for more than 7 days and still don't have this option. I've tried all the suggestions of turning off auto update and setting the clock back 7 days, checking for updates then turning the clock forward and checking for updates again, but no luck. Any help would be appreciated. Not sure it matters, but it was bought through Verizon.
you can't even unlock bootloader therefore no broad root method available. few years back there was combination ROM exploit Extreme Syndicate Root. but because downgrade is not possible, there is no deal for you
Yes you can unlock the bootloader even if on bit9 bootloader. My At&t S9+ is rooted. Its a service but you can unlock bootloader and root
United States Snapdragon devices do not have oem unlock..and if it shows up its useless

If you refer to UNSAMLOCK there is written it's not possible. You know how to unlock bootloader? So why don't you help @shadowcyberdeck unlocking?

Hello, I've bought a redmi 5 plus and i was hoping to get a custom rom on it, but as I've connected my sim card to unlock it, it doesn't seem to accept it. It fully detects it, even its carrier name, but just can't use it. At all. Does anyone know if there could be a fix for this? Or maybe there is a way to unlock the phone without sim card? Thanks.

I can help you unlock your device.
You need to flash global firmware on the device in edl mode.
You need to disassemble the device to flash the firmware.

I would recommend flashing it with global firmware again.

I'll try reflashing it tomorrow morning.
Also, I don't think that post is relevant to what i need help with, my phone won't use the sim at all, it's not a problem that my internet is locked or something. It finds the sim, but i can't call or use internet.
where do i find the tutorial? i cant find the xml file for flashing
