Overscan got removed from Android so there's nothing you can do. Not until someone comes up with something new

Doesn't this requires overscan as well?

If you can root the device there's a substratum theme I believe that gets rid of the navbar but idk if it even works on this device. I believe fng requires overscan also but you can try it out

You need to install LSposed and install GravityBox. You can disable the navigation bar with expanded desktop mode.

Setting > System > Gestures > System navigation (you can choose ...)

[Q] Cydia Background Manager

I am wondering if there is something similar to the Cydia Background Manager application for iOS that can be used on Android devices. I am looking for something that will allow me to force an app that goes to the background to stay in a foreground state like you can do with the Background Manager application.
This is the app I am referring to just in case...
cydia.saurik.com/package/kr.slak.backgroundmanager
Thank you.
I think you can use the "Resident" option in Per App Settings, which is an Xposed module.

What app do I need to download to give that a shot? The only Xposed app I saw looked like something to just remap keys.

Install the Xposed framework, then search for Per App Hacking in the Xposed Installer's repo (in the "Download" menu item.)

Would you happen to have a link to like an approved or known good guide for rooting a motorola xoom? Also I have read somewhere that when you unlock the bootloader before rooting that will essentially erase your device and all your app info...is that true?

I have no experience with unlocking bootloaders. You'll be able to find guides in the Motorola Xoom section, and you can also ask there (in the Q&A section) if you need guidance.

I get an error that states the APK file doesn't contain any certificates.
Got it installed by setting SAI to sign before installing, but none of the fonts work.

Installed, when you set font its not supported and uninstalls. Probably not for Android 10 or One Ui 2+ if unrooted.

Monofonts is much better, no having to mess around with installing a theme.
Would be great if there was more options like Google Font Or Comfortaa in any font apps. I like the plain rounded type.

Do I just need to select GPay in Magisk Hide and it works? Or are there multiple Apps that I must select. Just asking before I finally root my device.

Hide magisk from magisk setting..if it doesn't help then hide it by selecting that specific app too.

Works perfectly fine... All wallet & bank apps r working fine...
Hide Magisk settings & hide those apps in Magisk manager.
Hide anything Google. Google doesn't need root anywhere
