Do any 5G phones exist in the USA that can be rooted, not lose 5G, and work on Verizon? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

After wading thru oceans of stuff, there seems to be no conclusive answer.
I've seen nothing to indicate a USA S20 Note 5G has actually been rooted, and the idea of buying a Note 8 is not thrilling.

OPPO Reno 10x Zoom 5g

Hi Guys
I am thinking of purchasing this phone but i have a question about the 5g part. On the box it says EE. So does that mean the phone will only work with EE 5g. I am planning on using vodafone 5g. If the phone is unlocked, does the 5g work on other networks?
Thanks
Also,, does that mean the phone is locked to EE
Can you unlock these phones?
I have one from EE. It's not locked and I use it on another network.

Where did you purchase it from?
I purchased one from EE and it's unlocked, was extremely surprised.
The only thing it's not dual SIM.
Sim lock
I bought mine from cEx £415 EE green, but tried my Smarty (Three) sim in it and it works
happy days, just pray it's not blocked wihin my 2 year warranty period
How is the battery life on this phone?
Anyone got any reviews on the 5g version of the phone?
I've ordered the oppo Reno 5g from ee expecting it Monday to be delivered.
Not exactly upgrading as I have a Samsung s10 plus.
I've just decided to pay me contract off to reduce my monthly outgoings , I was only 8 months into my 24 months and there was 500 to pay so I've sold my S10+ and ordered the Reno 5g because I've managed to get it for £25 a month
I just hope it's not crap ?
Reviews are mixed and there isn't many of them either

Please give me an update comparing the Reno 5g to your s10+. I am really interested i what you have to say.
Thanks
Does that mean my unlocked oppo 5g handset will work on Vodafone 5g or is only one EE?
Does anyone know about the 5g part. Surely I can benefit from another networks 5g other than EE?
OK I am quite annoyed because I emailed oppo and they said the 5g signal was will only work from EE. I had no idea the handset will be locked to only one networks 5g signal.
So frustrating
Does anyone know if oppo will ever allow us to use 5g from a different network?
Any reviews of EE 5G signal?
Cmon surely some people must own the 5g version of the phone.??
I've got 2 of them but i'm not in UK. My Reno's 5G are not locked. Why not asking directly EE to know ?
Does anyone actually know if the oppo reno 5g handset is locked to 5g service only. I am currently using it on vodafone but i never get 5g signal on it even when they tell me that 5g is activated. o2 are starting to get 5g and my contract finishes in December. I am debating whether to stick with vodafone or move to o2 but i want to be able to use the 5g service due to the fact i have a 5g handset. EE is really expensive for sim only so that is why i do not want to go with them.

Is 5g network rolled out in all areas where you live. I can tell you know that where I am in Australia, there is barely any 5g network, so best I get is 4g

Flashing AT&T Firmware on Unlocked S9+ G965U1

After using an Unlocked S8 U1 on AT&T for the past few years, I decided to get the S9+ (since I don't care for the S10).
I order two S9+ (renewed) from Amazon: the AT&T S9+ model (G965U) and the Unlocked Model (G965U1), since I wanted to see if VoLTE and WiFi Calling would work on my Pre-Paid plan.
The AT&T G965U does work fine with VoLTE and WiFi Calling, but the unit has some nasty fall marks on it, and the volume buttons don't work well, so it's going back.
The Unlocked G965U1 only has a few minor screen scratches, but overall is in better condition than the AT&T G965U, but VoLTE and WiFi Calling doesn't work.
So I'm not sure what to do.
I can clearly hear the difference in Call Quality between the model with VoLTE and without (HSPA calls).
It's too bad AT&T still won't allow VoLTE on non-AT&T Branded Samsung phones.
I have read countless posts on S9/S9+ Firmware and CSC flashing with ODIN (which I'm familiar using) but I can't find a definite answer on if there's way to take an Unlocked S9+ U1 and flash it so that VoLTE will work. I know WiFi Calling won't work, since the IMEI has to be on AT&T Whitelist.
As of right now, the S9+ is on the latest firmware G965U1UEU7CSJ3.
Just to give an update. I was able to flash the S9 Plus G965U1 Unlocked model with the AT&T CSI5 firmware as shown in the Guides section. After that, the S9+ was able to use VoLTE and WiFI Calling on my AT&T Prepaid plan.
I had also ordered a (used/renewed) Note 9, and when I got it, it had Verizon firmware on it. So with it I had to flash the Note 9 first to the U1 Unlocked firmware and then to the AT&T U firmware.
So with both the S9+ and Note 9, I can get VoLTE and WiFi Calling to work.
Now I just have to decide which one I want to keep, as the S9+ was $348 and the Note 9 was $390.
I like the S9+ since it's not as heavy and more comfortable to hold, and it seems like the (smaller 3500mAh) battery lasts longer (not sure why). But I like the features of the Note 9 (S Pen) since I had the Note 2/3/4/5 years ago and miss those features.
I have an unlocked S9 and am on AT&T Prepaid.
I am playing a video about Odin right now.

QUESTION FOR ANY USERS with International Galaxy Note 8 (SM-N950F or SM-N950F/DS)

My note 4 got broken and I am considering an either a Note 8 (or Note 9) to upgrade too. My dilemma is between having a fully unlocked boot-loader (I like custom roms etc) and all the customization that affords VS the US Notes that are boot-loader locked and have limited ROM support (if they even do) BUT have Zero Issues with Carrier aggregation.
So my question is...to those of you that have the international versions that don't do proper carrier Aggregation (yes I read the 50+ page thread and a few other threads as well)...and may have limited speeds and not stay connected as well in fringe areas as the US version....if you had it to do again would you buy the international one again for the modding ability or is/was the trade off of the carrier aggregation too problematic?
SM-N950F and SM-N950F/DS are Exynos-versions so these doesn't support well Carrier Aggregation combinations used in US. I don't have data from Note 8 but i have many other devices listed in cacombos.com. Exynos devices modem can't be edited like Qualcomm devices.
Thank you Olkitu, I ended up going with the snapdragon one, but I did bookmark your site for future reference as my wife's phone will be needing replaced in the next few months as well.

Galaxy S7 & S7 Plus 5g Bands Help

I Purchased the note 20 Ultra 5G in USA and shipped it to Australia.
I later found out that the US Note 20 Ultra 5G variant doesnt have band n78, which is the main band of Asutralias best 5g provider, Telstra.
I am wondering if anyone knows conclusively if the s7 5g or s7+ 5g has the n78 band, some websites denote it does, others say it doesnt, but i feel they might be reffing to the LTE version sometime which of course does not have n78 5G band. This is the US variant from Samsung.com website.
Thanks in advance

Question Is a52 5g dead or something??

How is that even make any sense that a52 got a lot of attention and developments compared to the a52 5g? Same for the a52s 5g, it is better than the a52 5g but was released months after the a52 5g. Why does a52s 5g gets lot of attention and a52 5g gets none? There is no custom recovery development going on and neither custom roms and it has been a year since it's release. The forums of a52 5g are pretty empty, it is like almost nobody use this phone.
Well I can't speak for everyone but I preferred A52 4G since 5G isn't even a concern for me and I think the 5G was more expensive than the 4G variant on release so it didn't make sense to go for the 5G variant. And now I'm seeing the a52s 5G variant getting some attention. I personally got it since it dropped so much in price, it cost me way less than what the 4G variant cost me at launch. When comparing A52 5G and A52s 5G, I think the s variant wins so it doesn't make any sense to go for the regular 5G variant.
TLDR; It didn't make much sense to buy at launch and it doesn't make sense now
Keep in mind that in general, Samsung phones don't see a lot of development compared to other brands.
The difference between the 5g and the 4g versions are not only about the network difference. They have different hardware too(different processor for example, a better one. Also a better gpu). The price has it's reason
