Oppo Find X2 Pro bugs and bad battery - OPPO Find X2 Pro Guides, News, & Discussion

Hi to everyone. I have just bought a new oppo find x2 pro and I have found a couple of bugs coupled with the bad battery life. To put some context I'm at C. 67 right now (Spanish version) and when I receive a whatsapp the notification icon doesn't show up in the status bar. For instance, this issue don't happen with telegram. Does anyone have this same problem?
Also, I found that the microphone recording volume is really low compared to the native app, and I don't know if it's the speaker that makes my audios low or if it is the microphone problem, all in all they are all software issues.
Finally, I have been struggling with the battery drain since I can't get more than 3h and 40 min from 100 to 20% with a total usage of 14 hours, I use all display settings in automatic, does someone experiment the same problem?
Thanks a lot beforehand

I have the same bug with the notifications not appearing in the status bar. Telegram does show up, almost any other app does not... No idea why that is

Regarding the notifications icons in the status bar, you can activate it app by app.
Go to apps settings, click on "Manage notifications". In the "Categories" section, you can open the settings for each channel used by the app, and you'll find inside the "Display on status bar" toggle.

Regarding the low audio in videos, it looks like it depends on the audio decoding from the playback device.

Yep, but see the problem is that with some apps the notifications do not show in the status bar DESPITE the toggle being set appropriately. I guess that is also what the OP meant...
I also don't get any notifications on the lock screen for some reason even though I did activate those, too...

You need to make sure you change the right channel for the app.

It's easy,
Download and install HTCustom from here:
http://shadowmite.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=2231&p=7890#p7890
In the "UI" tab you can select in Clock Display one of these options:
Time, Date, Both, Nothing or Battery
Select the one you like, save and soft reset.
Cheers,
Works a treat, only thing is it now hides the volume and half the signal status icons.
If i tap in the empty space it does bring up the volume slider, The icon is just invisble.
when i open a program its is still shown like above.
If i slide open then close again (refreshing the screen) it looks fine. but once back to the today screen it it goes back to like the image above.
On another tanget, the battery status bar (Lordsmiff's) at the top doesnt always work.
I have to stop and restart the app to get an accurate reading, that or view the power status in the settings tab, then go back to the today screen.
Anyone able to shed some light on either of these matters?
Cheers

Unknown notification and email envelope notification not showing

Hi
Can anyone tell me what the icon notification on the top left of my screen shot is?
Also, I have Gmail and the default email application setup with email accounts but I don't seem to get the envelope icon in the notification area when I get a new email now.

You have disable notification (this is why this icon is here and why you have no notification for your new email)

Many thanks.
How do I turn these notifications back on?
Hi
I've got exactly this problem. I never knowingly disabled notifications but now even an SMS won't show it's icon.
I did however install Lightflow... perhaps that caused the issue?
AND the silly left pointing arrow & minus sign icon shows even when there are NO notifications.
Anyway, how do I get these icons to come back?
(PS I'm using a Galaxy S3 but can't edit my signature file below)

Your notifications are off. Pull down your Notification screen and turn on your Notifications. Why they put this in the Notification are, I will never know.
Found it!
Ahh you beat me to it
Thanks I eventually discovered this after exploring some more. I was busily creating a picture when your post came though.
I've attached the picture in case anyone else stumbles across this post with the same issue.

Notification Badges!!!

Hi all,
Sorry if this has already been asked, but I can't seem to find anything about it in the search option.
Can the Mate 10 Pro still have the option to show the "Numbers" on the actual badges for Email, WhatsApp, etc?
I have checked all the settings, and can only get it to show a coloured circle in the corner of the said badges
Any help would be greatly appreciated, many thanks
Regards,
P
No, the badges only came in Android O, but don't have numbers.
For that you would need a custom launcher like Nova, which does show numbers.

No, you don`t need a custom launcher.
Just go to: Settings-> Apps and notifications-> Notification management-> three dots in the upper right corner-> Indicators and set "Indicator display type" as "Unread messages"
Thanks alot bro, it worked for me. I was also looking for the solution as the dots were very annoying. Thanks alot
2 Mate 10 Pro - different notification badges
So me and my boyfriend have the same mobile phone - Huawei Mate 10 Pro. Everything is the same, works the same except for the notification badges. I have only numbers, he has only dots.
I went to Settings-> Apps and notifications-> Notification management-> three dots in the upper right corner-> Lock screen notification & Badges.
When I select Badge, on my Huawei under every app is written Display numbered badge, on his Huawei is written Display dot badge. No option to select Indicator display type.
How is this possible????? It is not so important but really drives me crazy.
Thanks!

So i've done your solution and it works. However on the final page where you choose it to show unread messages, you can see that apps it applies to and it is only applying it so a very small selection of my apps and it doesn't let you add any more apps to that list. Please can you explain why this is and how it can be changed.

In an incredible way, it seems you can't add more apps because EMUI doesn't support. I have opened a thread into Huawei official forum to confirm it and ask about the roadmap to have this basic setting added.

Anyone got this magisk module working (or any other full-screen mod) under 11 on the 4a? Would love to use the notch area when using various reading apps (including Chrome)!
bump? I'm looking for this as well, g-visual made me bootloop.

Yeah, still looking lol. Let me know if you find anything
It seems to be working now but I'm still not able to get full screen reading in Chrome and other apps due to lack of a proper immersive mode. This app seems to work but a bit kludgy:
Fullscreen Immersive - No Ads, No Root - Apps on Google Play
Fullscreen immersive mode in applications or games

I had a look into this today, and it appears that the area across where the hole punch for the camera lies, which also acts as the status bar, can only be used if the app itself is modified for this. I *think* i saw one app that extended into this area.
Using the following coode, one can set immersice mode for specific apps. I tested on A11 with no nav, and all it did was change the colour of the status bar. But it was still there. I also tried an app that has the option to hide the status bar, and I think it hid the clock etc, but the area reserved for the status bar was still unused.
The commands I played with were:
Code:
settings put global policy_control immersive.full=diamondjohndroid.utility.temefi;
settings get global policy_control;
#start the app, but only status bar colour changes
# undo the change
settings delete global policy_control;
Naked browser uses status bar without immersive installed
