I've forgotten the pattern to my phone. - Samsung Galaxy A10 Questions & Answers

Embarrasing as it is, I'm sure this has happened to many others ever since the introduction of the very first kinds screen locks. I have a Samsung A10, which can be assumed why I'm in this specific thread. I would really appreciate if someone could assist me in unlocking my phone. Some points for whoever reads this: I have never rooted my phone, it has no custom recovery or anything really done to it. USB Debugging is not enabled on it either, and I really do NOT want to lose my data. I currently have a pattern saved as the password and as mentioned I forgot it and I have had no access to anything thus far, I've been searching for hours on the internet trying to find a solution. All of which require something that needs another thing to be present for it to work, like using ADB commands, I need USB Debugging enabled I've tried using Aroma File Manager and to no avail it does not work, and then from what I perceived, I need CWM for it to work. LIKE WHY DID NO ONE MENTION THIS!!! At the end of the day, i don't mind doing a factory reset just as long as I can access my data and store it safely, my problem really just revolves around my data of which I really wish to not lose. I sure many would understand that I'm very frustrated and I'm earnestly requesting some assistance in regard of my dilemma.

[Razr with MIUI] lock pattern failed 30 times

Hi guys.
I really need your expert advice on my problem I've been trying to troubleshoot the last hours.
I recently changed the pattern to unlock my phone.
it's a droid razr with latest MIUI official (ICS)
Today I tried to unlock it and failed it. I was really almost sure about the code, it was composed of the 4 bottom squares, so not many possibilities. I tried all of them and nothing worked, so I suspect a bug, but ok I was tired and changed the code yesterday, so let's imagine I type the wrong code and used all my possibilities.. I was not really worried are I was sure there was way to go around this.
The problem is that it seems MIUI is buggy, as it should ask for my google username/password to unlock, but it just reboot when I try to unlock.
anyway my phone is not having internet connection so from what I saw it will not work.
also, the razr is not having any recovery, well I mean you need a specific application to go into it so I cannot launch it since I cannot acces to phone apps
so I really see no option to go back to my phone data. I think I could restore a official rom, but it would mean loose all my data. I'd really like to keep my sms especially the 5 last one I received today and cannot read. So if anybody has an interesting idea, i'd be more than happy to hear it.
thanks and hope you'll be inspired!
cheers

Its there a Gps tracker app that cant be uninstalled?

Hey thanks for reading, a couple of days ago , my wifes phone got stolen, i had the find my phone app installed in it but i always had my doubts as i always thought that if someone like me finds a phone and wants to keep it, they could just master reset it and erase any gps traking apps and have a new phone rigth? well thats what happened, tiefh turned off the phone right away and the phone never showed up neither on google device manager nor the find my phone either. Anyway , a person that works on a cell repair shop told me, he has his phone setup in a way that if you do a factory reset or even if you flash the phone, once the phone has acces to the internet, it will install the gps back again and tell you where it is.
So i was wondering if anyone has any idea wich app or how to do such thing. Thanks for your time and pardon my bad grammar and english.
PS: i wonder why google dosnt have something like the icloud where you can lock your phone to it via imei, that way if it gets stolen you can just lock your phone and tiefs wont be able to use it. I know google has my last imei, so i guess is posible for them to track my device to see wich other account is using my phone.

With root access Avast Mobile Security has this kind of features as far as I remember. It keeps a protection after a factory reset or a firmware installation.
BTW Apple produces the devices so they have a control on the IMEI (IMEI is a hardware data and not software). Moreover you should probably be able to contact your local authoritizies to blacklist the IMEI.
Hope it helps.
ill give that atry, the reviews dont look good but most of them look to be because people dont understand that there are 2 kinds of the same app, one for normal users , the other for rooted users. Thanks alot for your help. Any other options out there?

Re: Is it possible to activate LTE/4G/3G on air?

Re: Is it possible to activate LTE/4G/3G on air?
Hi all,
I'm still quite new to this forum, i'll try to put this simply.
I have lost my phone recently, htc one ul_m8, in france, and i tried to locate it on ADM. Problem is, that i deactivated my connection because i don't often use it. I checked a bit all over the place how i could activated "on air" or else, and still haven't found anything. I thought of using Airdroid 3 to be able to use my phone through my PC, but same problem, i need the 4g activated.
So my question is this:
I am aware of USSD codes that you can type in directly on the numpad to have access to various information and settings. Is there any other form of secret or no "ussd" codes that for example can be sent to the lost phone, to be able to remotely activate the connection. Or another way. But it has to be remote cause i honestly don't see any other way of accessing the phone.
I hope i was clear for most, my head is a bit scrammbled, to much precious information i was careless to not think of this beforehand. Anyway if anyone has any ideas, please reach out.
Thanks a lot
Leo

Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus - Lockscreen Bypass

Hi,
First of all I am really sorry for the questions and the beginner kind of questions. I really need your help. Your help is appreciated.
Please do not calm me down (is reassure the right english word?)! I just want to hear facts and answers regarding the truth/reality..
I have got a Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus (SM-G965F, Duos), bought in Germany. My Android Version was Android 8 or higher, but I can only guess this part. Maybe it was older than Android 8?
It fell into water (only the bottom part) a year ago and about a month ago i gave it to a repairshop (I know that this was very late).
I did not give my lock screen code to the shop workers. I did not give them any code.
The Bitdefender App (full) was installed on the phone.
As I remembered that there was sensitive data on the phone I took my phone back the next day. Bitdefender has mentioned that there was failed access attempt to my phone. Bitdefender App took one or more photos (I can only see one) of a worker trying to unlock my phone.
I used Bitdefender, so I think the Secure Boot was disabled (I think). Is this important for my question?
The old data (before giving to the shop) was on my phone, no deletion of any file, as far as I can remember my own files.
Questions:
Could the workers of the phone service shop get any kind of access, e.g. by cracking my phone, bypassing or just trying. I mean, they are professionals or semi-professionals. My phone code consisted of four digits I think. There was no SIM-card inside the phone.
When I took my phone back the date was set to january 1st. Why that? How can that be? The Bitdefender App said that the photo was taken on 2018-01-01, 15:41 o'clock. Maybe Bitdefender takes it from the android system. Or from WiFi of the shop? Is that possible for them to connect to their WiFi without the lockscreen code? Can it be, that they unlocked the phone, and messed up the timestamp?
Is access (if possible) only via USB cable possible or wirelessly, too?
After a bit of investigation I found out that there is software to rescue data both from iOS and Android systems (For example: Dr. Fone). Maybe access it possible with software like that?
The warranty void of my phone is: 0x0. So I think that software like CWM or TWRK was not installed on my phone, am I right? And I also think that my phone was not rooted, am I right? But I have read that you can flash the full ROM, to set it back, from 0x1 to 0x0 (https://c.mi.com/thread-1898682-1-0.html)
I have read this, but I do not know if it works on my phone: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2437946
Could they have gained access to any password, including Google and Samsung accounts?
I have researched and found out that there are several options: USB debug mode, Warranty Void, FRP Lock, OEM Lock, KG State. Do they use one of these to gain access?
After taking back my phone from the shop I did a hard reset on that phone. After the reinstallation the phone did NOT ask me for a PIN/password or google account . So, was the FRP Lock OFF?
I think I had both the Google Account and the Samsung Account logged in on this phone. So was FRP=ON ? What about other options/states, e.g. the OEM Lock?
But I changed the password from within my PC (Browser), not from within this phone. Maybe the phone had an internet connection (so that an error was shown internal on my phone, due to the password change), maybe not. Could the FRP Lock have changed to FRP Lock=OFF (due to this password change?).
What about other options/states, e.g. the OEM Lock?
A bit offtopic, but related to my problem: The shop said that they tested my phone after repairing. Microphone etc. How could they have done that without my lockscreen code? What else apart from microphone could the have tested?
Hi again,
I know that this is a long post nd much to read. I need your help. I have researched and asked, but no definite answer.
Please help me out, guys.

Hi,
as far as I know you have to enable the Developer Options first, in order to enable the USB Debug mode, right? If it is like that, no. I even never got into the Developer menu I think - as far as I can remember. Because I didn't know about this option.
edit: And the standard option is (e.g. when bought a new phone or after a hard reset etc):
USB Debug mode disabled, correct?

Question Allow from unknown sources is greyed out.

I know this thread has been posted a lot but there is no device admin stopping it, I am unable to turn it on in the dev settings. It also wont let me temporarily allow it when trying to install say fortnite from epic launcher. Any help would be great. Do I need to unlock the bootloader & root to fix this or?
I just learned last night actually how to fix this! All you need to do is just factory reset your phone and then I was finally able to flip that switch! Aha

Factory reset rarely makes a difference, the problem usually seems to be the internet connection.

Yeah just wanted to add as well for anyone who may stumble upon this thread that no factory reset was necessary in my experience. It was a matter of having the phone active and connected for several days with the occasional reboot before checking to see if the option had become available.
Umm... I would like to interject that in my experience so far, a factory reset is the only thing that will fix this issue. I unlock people's phones for them from Google frp lock and have seen this happen three or four times. I'm not sure exactly but I think that after bypassing an frp lock there is still some sort of restriction in place until there is a secondary factory format performed with the device in an frp unlocked state. The only thing I know of that being connected with service is the resolution to, is to enable oem options because some devices require owning the device for a specific period of time before the option isn't greyed out. in which case you just gotta mess with the date and time settings and at some point disable and re enable the data. There are posts about that .. it's a little off topic here though... but yeah if there is an alternative I would love to know about it. Otherwise the only fix I have found is to factory format without a previous frp lock.
Totally agree with the post above, I had struggled with a Moto G30 after a FRP and another factory reset this time with a new google account worked.
I can also confirm that a factory reset fixes this. After recovering from FRP, I had the grayed out Allow unknown apps. I didn't want to factory reset again, but I didn't do it after getting past FRP. I ended up doing a factory reset from inside the recovery, and now it works the way it is supposed to.
