Question Stuck on V12.0.8.0.RKIEUXM - Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G

Hi, I've had my M11 lite 5G for a week or so, ever time I go to updates it just returns no update available, I know V12.0.8.0.RKIEUXM isn't the lastest.
Anyone got any idea how to force it to update.

never got proposal so I downloaded ota blob for RKIEUXM by fetching link at https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/archive/miui/renoir/ .
if you haven't yet, by touching multiple time on miui logo in update app you can unlock the option to chose a file to update from .

Why do you want the update? it breaks stuff just like every other MIUI update. Cant wait till we get a TWRP and some custom roms so i can get away from this MIUI mess.

@kestrelv2 that's true, i was on V12.0.8.0. fastboot clean install of v12.5 and some features were missing. Went back to V12.0.8.0. But 12.5 feels and looks alot more robust, I would recommend it for stability if 1 or 2 features are not of your concern. And i should point out the camera is unusable on V12.0.8.0, fixed on 12.5 -> for some thats more than enuf reason to update.

For me the hotspot is an issue and I doubt the update addressed it. I use it every day and when I turn on a 5ghz hotspot if I disconnect it and turn it back on it turns itself off a couple of seconds after turning it on and won't let it stay on until I either switch to 2.4ghz or reboot the phone. It's a real pain in the ass.
Every Xiaomi device iv ever had has had little bugs that never get fixed and don't seem consistent among other users, my last one wouldn't even stay enabled with 5ghz WiFi and it also had a problem where mobile data suddenly wouldn't work until after rebooting there were some on the Xiaomi forum that had the same issue but other people didn't. MiUI is a load of trash and updating for me is a waste of time as it will only introduce some other bug and be a pain to go back.

Now that we have TWRP maybe AOSP can be possible in the future.

Have you tried the 5ghz hotspot bug that I described? It wouldn't surprise me tho if you didn't have the same thing. As I said the bugs in MiUI don't appear to be consistent among each device which is another reason MiUI is so bizarre.

no 5Ghz hotspot at hand, so I cannot infirm/confirm

I did manage to update to the last version switching the region from UK to Ireland, but had to return the phone for a refund a few days later the screen stopped working.
The phone seem not bad for the few days I had it, one thing I did noticed the battery life and idle drain was a bit rubbish.

Slow performance of the phone

Hello all,
I have a Redmi Note 3, Qualcomm Snapdragon processor based with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB ROM. I bought the phone from mi site(Indian version) online. It was bought in May 2016.
I dont know how to root the phone and I have only updated the OS whenever i got an update from MI.
Eventhough i heard about Lineage OS, i dont know how to apply one on the phone.
I use it to browse, watch youtube and chatting app like whatsapp.
Of late the phone is too slow. When opening Youtube, the app closes after few seconds(I believe it has crashed, I dont know though).
This happens for many apps.
Is it possible to fix this issue? Can you help me or point me to a site with enough details that novice like me can fix it.
Thanks in the meanwhile
Pradeep
I have something similar with my phone, same 2\16gb. A month ago it started to stutter so bad, that I can't even use it normally. I am using AospExtended ROM now, but I tried many other ROMs, nothing helped, also I tried AGNi and franco kernel. Phone freezes very often when i try to open some apps like a telegram or instagram, sometimes when I just unlock it with the graphical key it freezes completely, then reboots. I used to play Fallout Shelter, but now it is completely unplayable with like 1-2 FPS.... Looks like it is some hardware problem, or what

Can I go back to the previous rom of the device? Over these past 2 years, I might have done 5- 10 system updates. Can I go back to a previous rom? If so, how??

Did you resolve the issue by using aospextended ROM?
Try a deep clean flash trough miflash
I'm using 2/16 GB version of Redmi Note 3 but never faced this kinda issue. Maybe there is some stability issue in the update

I actually am new to flashing ROM and so on. I gathered from XDA, google and MIUI forums that I need to unlock Bootloader on my Redmi Note 3.
I was thinking if i can go back to a previous version( downgrade the OS version) of my Redmi Note 3.
Any inputs, please?

I saw in this forum https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/xiaomi-mi-9-se-eu-rom.49654/ that this Rom has some problem, in your opinion it is goog or did you find the same problems?
9.4.11 added in OP.
I'm waiting the bootloader unlock countdown to expire and then I will try xiaomi.eu rom. I read that global rom is less optimized than china rom respect to battery duration and I'm worried that with all bugs actually present in global rom (for example notifications text in dark mode) they didn't realeased yet any official update

No way to bypass the counter. You have to wait.
How it works the xiaomi.eu firmware? Tomorrow my countdown expire and I will unlock bootloader, I'm thinking to flash xiaomi.eu fw in order to have miui always updated.
WTF 360 wait limit is for those people who recently got approval or to everyone? I thought it will be challenging waiting out 3 days without rooted device but 2 weeks is just insane.

True. It is totally insane. For what reason? If it will void the warranty, we dont care. Coz we unlock it by our choice.
Mi 9 SE twrp is out?
Yes, TWRP for Mi9 SE is available since End of March it's by MiuiItalia and can be found here: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=1395089523397926854 .. Sadly, Backup & Restore isn't working, yet. But format, flash etc is working without problems.
There is another TWRP going around, but that didn't even started for me at all.
I have installed this Xiaomi.EU v9.4.18 Rom on my Mi9 SE (Global Version) yesterday and played/tested a while. I'm very happy, everything is working flewlessly. As well, I've installed Magisk 19.0 (Beta) for Root - what a dream to have a Phone without Ads again and with some tricks, Google Pay is still available!
At least, one little Bug I've found in this Rom: the Auto-Brightness is going crazy, but only sometimes..? Weird..

Random "restart" , crashes on MIUI EU.

As the title says I'm having random restarts / crashes. The phone doesn't completely restart (i.e boot logo doesn't appear), instead just turns to black screen and them comes back in a few seconds and I've to unlock it using a pin (first unlock needs a pin in MIUI).
I'm on MIUI 9.6.13 EU rooted with latest magisk, unlocked and TWRP installed. I can't take logs as this crash is really really random. I don't know when it'll happen. I'll just be browsing or watching a video or playing a game or just browsing the UI and it'll crash.
Any help is appreciated thay may help get past this crash or any way I can get a log.
I really don't want to reset and reinstall and reconfigure everything.

Have you tried to dirty flash the same miui eu rom via twrp?
Any magisk module you use? custom kernel?
I just move to miui eu stable 3 days ago from global beta. I met some issues like theme app cannot be updated to the latest via xiaomi app store due to region issue and Cluster 2 max CPU frequency was set to 825 mhz instead of 2803 mhz.
miui eu stable 10.3.5.0+ TWRP+ Magisk+Sphinx kernel.

Yes, tried dirt flashing but to no Vail.
Magisk modules : BusyBox, camera ir enabler, debloater (only to debloate find device).
No custom kernel. Stock only.
I've been using EU from a long time and never faced any issues only until now. The reason I stay on beta is due to notifications as Xiaomi has still to implement the same in stable MIUI versions.
EU has region locked to Poland as I remember because everything works on Poland.
My CPU frequencies seem to be fine and not locked to any particular one.

Ok, try this way. Temporary remove all your magisk module via teeminal in twrp if can. If really cannot. Worst case will be a full wipe. But try backup as many files as possible in twrp.
But Eu beta will come to an end if global beta stops on July this year. That's the reason I'm in Eu stable.

I have thrown this question in miui Eu community forum, the answers are as below:
MarkHUK (founder of miui Eu) Quoted:
I would just keep checking for info as we are not 100% of the China side schedule for now.
Igor Eisberg(patch/mod developer) Quoted:
If no Global Beta ROMs will be released for POCO F1, then there won't be Xiaomi.eu Weekly ROMs for the device as well.
Mark was right to say need to check on China side schedule but poco f1 doesn't have any China rom at all. So Igor should be right about it.

What does this really mean? I don't understand.. And where can I find this thread?
Will there be a solution at one point or is it not certain at this time? In which case what are the alternatives?
I've met the same problem several times on latest EU beta build with Magisk working in core only mode, so I think the soft reboot problem might not be caused by any 3rd-party Magisk module.

1. Depends on what miui version you have, you just reflash the same rom version on top of it via twrp.
2. This is the first time I flash to miui EU stable from global beta. The ROM is at the miui Eu website. The themes and CPU frequency are the issues I'm currently facing.
3. To remove magisk, the uninstall zip will remove all including magisk itself.
4. That is from miui community forum. And that's the answer I got from the people.
Solution remains unknown until global beta stopped.
I assume once global beta stopped, miui Eu beta will stop too, since poco f1 only got global stable/beta only, no China ROM.
I had exactly the same problem as you last week.
Then I had no special things, like Magisk modules, installed. It was just a rooted stock ROM before.
The result after flashing the Xiaomi.EU ROM was a bootloop.
I tried to solve it two days long.
There was no other option than wipe the phone data.
And yes, I lost all my personal data like photo's, video's, docs,...
Now, I've installed Pixel Experience. Best ROM on Pocophone I've yet tried.

I used pixel experience, lineage but to my surprise switched back to MIUI EU. I was just spoiled by the gesture navigation and had gotten too used to them (and the first party MIUI features like app lock and second space etc). The fluid navigation gesture app works sometimes and sometimes just doesn't. And I wasn't getting enough more battery (SoT) compared to MIUI (sometimes even less than MIUI) and thus I switched back even though I'm not a big fan of MIUI.
I flashed MIUI EU beta (for notifications) and debloated a little and everything was working very well until this started happening.
There haven't been any "crashes" since 2 days , maybe it got fixed. Fingers crossed ?
Edit: Just had the "crash".

Android 11

Hi , i recently got update 12.1.1.0(Android 11) on Xiaomi.eu ROM and after the update the gesture navigation is not working. So i wanted to ask does anyone else have the same problem or it is just the reason that i dirty flashed the rom on top of Android 10 Xiaomi.eu 12.0.3 ROM.
Best regards.

HI,
I also updated to 12.1.1.0, but I was on Official 12.0.3.0.
However,i have the same issue. Not that all of the gestures stopped working, but ie the one to go to last app doesn't work.
I think this update is not fully stable. If I reboot the phone, it gets stuck on MIUI logo, I have to force another reboot by long pressing power.
Does this happen to you?
I was on xiaomi.eu rom and i feel the same that this rom is still beta. I will install some custom rom for now to test. I dont know if i had the problem with reboot to MIUI logo
I'm on miui 12.1.1.0 (moved from EEA to Global and then to Android 11). The gestures are working for me. The unusual thing I noticed is that the last app gesture has to be performed really close to the chin.
yes this miui 12.1.1.0 update is broken
what problems do i have?
nova launcher full screen gestures not working anymore
after update to this build some user apps vanished
cannot navigate to root folder/android/data
some apks previously installed now gives me the parsing error
waiting for miui 12.5

Okay thank you. I have another quick queation in mind, hows the battery life and the charging speed? From what ive read cuatom rom limits the speed to only 18 watt.
Yes it is 18w for now but its fine for me , and the battery life is on par with stock maybe even better.
Gestures does not work with third party launchers with this update.
noone expected it to
I had the same problem with gesture navigation. then i changed the launcher and problem fixed.

[CLOSED] Rick's Rom DUB5 SM-N986U1 Snapdragon Safe Update To One UI 3.1

First, I am not responsible to what happens after you flash this. If your phone dose not work afterwords it is your own doing. I didn't force you to flash it..
This is a stock rom for the most part for the Snapdragon Note 20 Ultra U1 that I use as my daily driver. I disabled file encryption, removed knox, fixed screen cast and shealth plus Bluetooth and smartwatch pairing. Most of the Google apps are uninstallable. I'll try to keep this up to date every month the best I can. Enjoy.
You Must Have A Unlocked Bootloader and a SM-N986 U1 or U Ultra to proceed. This Might Wipe Your Data!! Make a Back up!!.
Instructions:
1: Flash with Odin in the respective slots (bl, ap, cp and csc).
2: Wipe and format data in recovery if coming from a different rom or android version.
3: Reboot and set it up.
Enjoy.
See this thread or this thread if you need a unlock. The teams there are great!
Built With SuperR's Kitchen
Thanks @afaneh92 for the unlock and TWRP
Thanks @bklyn_syed for sharing the fixes for Bluetooth and shealth.

Thanks I built it last night.
Anyone who downloaded this before this post please re-download the rom. I had a file mixed up with another rom by mistake, sorry. New files are uploading now. Please report any problems you may have if any, Thanks.
I uploaded some a new build that addresses the game launcher crash and theme store crash.
@Misterxtc Very glad to see more custom roms being built.
Would you be able to build an AOSP rom for the Note 20 Ultra (SM-986U)?
Would love to see an AOSP rom like Lineage OS or Havoc OS

Me too but I haven't gotten one to boot properly yet. I also own a S20+ and would like to build something for both. I am exploring the options.

I don't think so but I'm really not sure, I haven't looked into it. The big deal for me is downloading more firmware, keeping track of more files, storage space and time. Honestly it's pretty simple to build your own. You can get all the info you need for that here .
@Misterxtc, what is your preferred method for root access?

Thanks, I figured something like this would make it easier for those who like stock and are unlocked every month.

I was sitting here debating on whether to go with 10 or 11 lol. Durrr me...I'm all for a custom cleaned up ROM any day over the untouched stock firmware. I see that your ROM is on the latest 11 (CUA1). Nice!
Since your tweaking the universal U1 firmware and since there isn't any carrier bloatware in there, is there much to really remove to make it even more lean and lighter? I know in the old days those firmware's were loaded with bloat and by removing them helped it a lot.
I also noticed that the latest 11 file size was smaller than the latest 10. From what you can see is that from just making 11 more efficient, thus making it lighter?
Regarding the change log:
Disabled File Encryption - Is that for the entire device file encryption or the built in folder encryption that was disabled? What are the benefits from disabling this? Does it just make it smoother even if you don't use the encryption feature on the device?
Removed Knox - Does using a smart watch to use Samsung Pay etc... still a work around even with the device knox removed?
Are there any settings to be able to tweak camera settings to improve the camera? iirc back in the Note 3 and 4 days, a Dev said that there was a value in the image quality or something that was set to I think 8 instead of the max 10? He had maxed that out and included that in the ROM... I'm curious if such adjustments exist in the 11?
Does the CUA1 have the baked in Microsoft Swiftkey (VIRUS) or is that only on carrier firmware's?
I have the Unlocked varaint of the Note 20 Ultra straight from Samsung. Oddly, it came with firmware ATGO, which is ATT lol.. but I'm on TM. What has been annoying is that I can't uninstall the darn microsoft swiftkey.
I love Swiftkey as a keyboard (best touch accuracy IMO), but despise the intrusivemness, so I like to use my own tweaked swiftkey with the internet premissions removed w/ using AFWall+ to block everything else. ie...
The thing is that I haven't been able to install the tweaked swiftkey due to it not letting me since the stock MS one is baked in...
