I think it's partly because Redmi Note 10 uses virtual A/B, so it's going to be a very long time

HTC have confirmed that the M9+ is getting Marshmallow, so at least we know Mediatek will give the Helio X10 Marshmallow

When the Android version is official, builders normally have 90 days to implement it but this is often not the case

Exactly. For example screen brightnes. I opened thread to miui bug section. But nobody cares or stupid MTK's lux sensor sucks and they cant fix it -_-

2. What type of development do you mean ? It'll continue to get regular MIUI updates for at least 2 years. Also the XDA community for this device is huge. So many ROMs and kernels to choose from.

I wanted to know does the redmi 5 ( Rosy) has got the anti roll back feature enabled.....
I was going to unlock my bootloader but I got to know that one of my friends device( Redmi 5A) got hard bricked and he had to change his motherboard.....
And out of the topic will the device Rosy get any Oreo custom roms sooner or later?????

Thanks for the reply ......My friend has a redmi 5a but his device got hard bricked because of rolling back to an older version.....

Hold your jets pal. We dont even have a rock solid Pixel Experience on Pie.
My advice. Go test the latest builds, use the phone, report back and then maybe we will have Android 10.
Eventhough not officially announced, it's almost guaranteed at this point Xiaomi will update it to Android 10. Usually it's 2 years of version updates and 3 years of security updates. The estimated release date is somewhere between Q4/2019 (Mi 8) and Q1/2020 (Redmi Note 7).
That beeing said, don't hold your breath on it. Kernel sources usually get available at a much later date. Until we have high quality, rock stable custom Android 10 ROMs, most likely another year will pass.
I'm optimistic about this. @nysadev even made a guide on how to install Android 10 GSIs on platina, so i think soon we'll have (not stable) custom roms
there will be an android 10 miui for mix 2s. miui 11 will come first as android 9 later it will update to android 10.

Apparently no one has new issues about what will happen with Android 10 in the Mi 8 Lite, in the same way my cell phone was stolen and I'm not interested much because It makes no sense to remain interested in something that I no longer have :/

Yes, but don't ever asking ETA,
or curse the dev if someday redmi note 3 pro can boot it and you meet some bug
Just send the logcat, or whatever the dev asking.
It's there, just go to one kenzo group at telegram, but remember what i speak in second line okay ?

Maybe the devs are working hard, currently it just gets stuck on booting, problem seems to be with the hals mainly the audio, which causes the boot proccess to stop / timeout so hopefully if they get that fixed it will boot (assuming no other hardware gives trouble), right now it seems only 2-3 people are working on it, it would be nice if some of the older devs familiar with kenzo would come back and help fix some of the issues but right now progress is slow.
