Yes it works on any ROM. I'm using it on MIUI.
Please make sure you enabled it from Xposed Manager.
If you are using LSPosed, then disable and enable the module AGAIN from LSPossed Manager. And then force close Messenger.

I reenabled it at redisabled, then cleared the data of Messenger, still doesn't change. I don't know what's the culprit, but I'll try again later. This is a very nifty feature so I really need it. Anyways, thank you so much for making such a wonderful app. I'll report back to you once I make it work in my MIUI12.5 EEA. Thank you.

UPDATE: I just uninstalled and reinstalled the module then updated the app on Playstore,
and IT WORKED! Thank you so much! I'm so happy right now OMG

Good to know.
You can update official Messenger from Playstore any time, it will work on any Messenger version (assuming they don't mess up more).

Thank you for the update sur.

It's not working on the latest Xiaomi.eu weekly build (A11, Miui 12.5). Tried the turn on/off method, multiple force closes of the messenger app, deleting all data, etc. The phone's app list says it's never used. I was able to use it on a LOS 18.1 rom with Riru and LSPosed. Tried to install edXposed from the Magisk repo but it's ask for Riru and redirects me to a download page. Riru is on my phone. Any suggestion? I even tried to remove LSPosed, but edXposed still asks for Riru....

EdXposed doesn't work with latest version of Riru. If you want to use EdXposed, you have to install Riru 25.
Alternatively you can switch to LSPosed.

Messenger update is irrelevant.
I just checked with EdXposed, it's working. Have you activated it from EdXposed manager? Can you show me EdXposed Log?

XPrivacy
After weeks of research, development and testing I proudly present the ultimate, yet easy to use, privacy manager: XPrivacy.
XPrivacy can prevent applications from leaking privacy sensitive data. XPrivacy can restrict the categories of data an application can access. This is done by feeding an application with no or fake data. There are several data categories which can be restricted, for example contacts or location. For example, if you restrict access to contacts for an application, this will result in sending an empty contact list to the application. Similarly, restricting an application's access to your location will result in a set location being sent to the application.
You can use the successor XPrivacyLua on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and later.
Features
Simple to use
No need to patch anything (no source, no smali or anything else)
For any (stock) variant of Android version 4.0.3 - 6.0.1 (ICS, JellyBean, Lollipop, Marshmallow)
Newly installed applications are restricted by default
Displays data actually used by an application
Option to restrict on demand
Free and open source

This forum is for questions only. See here for bug reports and feature requests.
Please post messages related to privacy only.
XPrivacy is not intended to make other application do things they are not supposed to do.
There is only support for the latest official XPrivacy version.
XPrivacy was a lot of work, so please support this project
If you want to donate, see here for all options.
Use at your own risk !
The latest version from a while ago still works properly up to Android 6 Marshmallow, if Xposed works properly on your device
(you can ignore any internal error report of XPrivacy, since these are known to be harmless)

Thanks a lot. I always missed PDroid as i am on stock Samsung ROM.
BTW, the patches also work on Stock Rom ? ie : even if i don't use CM10, i need to install the CM10_4.1 patch isn't it ?
Tanks again

Thank you very much for your hard work!
I'd really like to contribute, but since I'm pretty limited in terms of coding the only thing I can offer is to translate Xprivacy to German if you like.
I already got some experience in app translating (though it has been some time since then), so just PM me, if you want me to translate it

So If I'm on a sense based 4.2.2 rom I also need to install the CM 4.2 fix? (just installed the latest version of Xprivacy .11)
the app has improved greatly, its very usable now.
some suggestions/details:
app/usability:
1. the app is usable when it is not enabled, there should be a check on app launch if it is enabled in xposed.
2. some sort of loading indicator instead of just directly jumping into the batch edit category after a wait.
3. search for apps.
4. app filtering
2,3,4 are already implemented in xposed app settings, perhaps you could look at that code.
ui stuff:
1. all the activities except the main one should have menu items and the navigation action http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/ui/actionbar.html#Home
2. the blocked apps/ apps with the particular permission should be sorted above the rest.
i'd say blocked apps->apps with permission but not blocked-> rest of them
3. scroll bar in batch edit
4. action bar spinners or a viewpager like the xposed app separating the batch edit and the list of all apps. (AB spinners would save space though)
these are suggestions, i love the app as it is,

First the most obvious: did you reboot? did you enable XPrivacy in the Xposed installer?
Which ROM do you use?
Do you see orange triangles if you start XPrivacy and browse apps?

Yes, I rebooted twice. I'm on TrickDroid 4.2.2 (sense based) on the HTC One. I do see the orange triangle on some apps when I open up Xprivacy but not on all (going into the different categories)
a have a request. The application is really great, but I would much rather like to get notification(and then I can open XPrivacy by just clicking on it) when new application is installed instead of just popping up. I hope you understand me

If you see orange triangles XPrivacy is in any case working.
Maybe your settings layout is different, so that XPrivacy cannot hook into it.
This is not a big problem, because you can access all settings from the app too.
You can do me a pleasure by sending a logcat, starting from the moment your device boots, so I may be able to figure out why this (not) happens.

Xposed framework for (N) and Gravity box for (N)

Hey fellow P10 owners, xposed framework is already out for Nougat and if anyone is interested here is the link for the download https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811 . I have tried it out and it hasn't given me any issues so far, I had Amplify before in another phone since it needs this framework to work i decided to give it a try. Also Gravity box for Nougat is also in Alfa and some things are working ok on the P10 like center clock, modify the navigation keys also the Swype gesture on the finger reader can be reworked at some extent. It hasn't caused any bootloops so far, some issues with gravity box is when changing themes it makes it crash for which you have to uninstall and install the app again, either way it still and Alfa so be aware of some bugs. Here is the link for gravity box https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/app-gravitybox-v7-0-0-tweak-box-android-t3653953 big shouts and thanks for the developers of xposed framework and also gravity box all credits to them!

I'm running 88.1, now it's a bit buggy at times, just flash the zip in TWRP and reboot from the link that's provided in the op. I'm either case of it doesn't work just used the unistaller remember to have root privilege.
Now greenify is not really working for some reason it doesn't show as turn on in the app but it does in Xposed.

Cannot get Xposed to work (not active)
Hi,
I'm on fRomFuture B171 with Magisk 14.3 beta and the Xposed SDK 24 module, but I can't seem to get it to work.
I rebooted after installation through Magisk but Xposed Installer (3.1.2 by dvdandroid) tells me Xposed is installed but not active.
Soft rebooted through Xposed, same issue.
I also tried uninstalling from Magisk and flashing 88.1 through TWRP, but to no avail. I flashed the uninstaller first.
I looked through /data/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer but couldn't make out any solutions (Xposed doesn't log either).
Aforementioned folder has permissions fixed (0777), root is available and working.
Do I miss something?
Uninstall the app and module reboot to recovery clean dalvik and cache, now reboot, install module, and reboot install app from topjohnwu and now you should see the module active don't reboot from the apps when ever you activate a module just press the power button and do from there.

Just got home and tried this, it's working now! Awesome.
Thanks so much.
EDIT: Okay, so I enabled some modules (Boot Manager, InstallerOpt, Xposed Torch) and restarted.
I tested, it worked, then I restarted again (from the power menu) resulting in the same issue.
(Framework v 88.1 (Systemless by topjohnwu) is installed, but not active).
Xposed still doesn't log :/
Triple EDIT ftl:
Restarted again, it works again... But I can't yet make out a pattern
Ok so the thing is that the bug that it's having is related to the restart, if you have a module active and you reboot the phone it will break the module so you have to unchecked and check the modules again and reboot, I have done many testings and for me it seems the issue is that the xposed framework breaks after a reboot.
Sent from my VTR-L09 using XDA-Developers Legacy app
@lil_kujo
Seems the most likely. Pretty inconvenient, but it will have to do for now.
Also, is there any chance that the 88.2 update that is present within Xposed Installer solves this issue?
I'm afraid to update right now since it's barely working.

Just so that you know you are not alone I too am having the exact same problem.
I recently installed it on my rooted pixel 4 XL. Greenify 4.7.5 becomes unresponsive when I choose its settings menu. As soon as I choose settings the screen goes black and the app appears to freeze. I'm running the latest version of Android 11. I've tried deleting cache and data for the app with no success.
I see the app hasn't been updated in a year period I hope it's not dead.
Same problem on Oxygenos 11 (SOLVED)
Any tutorial on how to gather debug info so that I may post them?
I'm New to Android.

I don't use greenify on Android 11 but I managed to make it work.
For battery/memory saving I preferred to manipulate doze mode Instead of killing system apps. I also use Ice Box to disable apps that I don't use daily and Drowser for killing some users apps.

I only use greenify to hibernate apps, I did manage to access settings and disable auto hibernation and tracking but even tracking is wort something as greenify shows you apps that are waking up and how many times.
I have installed lite version and was able to access settings.
I also use aptoide for whatever reason it doesn't go to sleep after you close it down you can see in developers running apps, even if you place aptoide in deep sleeping apps it won't go to sleep with greenify I just press shortcut and all apps I don't want to run in the background are going to sleep immedietaly.
Even for that simple ram almost free shortcut greenify is worth of using on android 11
I'm having the same issue on my OnePlus 8T running Android 11, but I'm sure the settings did work on a previous version of Greenify 'cause I must have set it up with the donation package.
EDIT: Just tried the previous version (4.7.3beta) from APK mirror and the settings menu works fine, so may have to stay back on that version for now.

Have you installed EdXposed? Just enable greenify module in EdXposed and reboot.
I don't use greenify on Android 11 but I managed to make it work.
For battery/memory saving I preferred to manipulate doze mode Instead of killing system apps. I also use Ice Box to disable apps that I don't use daily and Drowser for killing some users apps.

It worked for my xiaomi redmi note 6 pro , thank you.
Neither.
Using Xposed allow settings again.
But EdXposed can't passes on SafetyNet and was lied down by the dev. Solution? LSposed.
I didn't like the way that LSposed manage apps (can't understand how Black/white list works) to avoid detections.
Gpay and others apps can't open running any Xposed distro.

I am on android 11, using greenify 4.7.5 + donation package play store, I had to uninstall greenify, install it, go through setup process, from the main screen select settings and leave it there, then issue these cmds through adb
Code:
adb -d shell pm grant com.oasisfeng.greenify android.permission.DUMP
adb -d shell pm grant com.oasisfeng.greenify android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS
adb -d shell pm grant com.oasisfeng.greenify android.permission.READ_LOGS
tap on doze setting and enable it, go back to settings and enable or disable what ever you want.
now make sure you have what you want because next time try go into settings is the black screen.
Hope this helps.
Let me know if it worked for you.

Greenify Android 11 update?

I hope this beauty app will be updated and also donation package needs update... Please guys vote and support developer.. If you are developer, please update this great app and donation package to support Android 11, magisk module and EdXposed...
Yes it needs an update for android 11! Too many features are not working on Android 11!
Some functions of Greenify are not enabled, maybe because of ROM or Android 11.

Functions:
- Telephony Wakeup
- GCM Push
- Greenifying system apps
These functions also depend on EdXposed to work correctly (it has been installed), in addition to the activation of various conditions in Security, Accessibility and Permissions.
Other features works well.
We really appreciate if there will be any update of the app to work fully on Android 11.
This is an excellent app to manage the system.
Note: I have the donation pack purchased.

I don't know how but I updated ArrowOS to 2021-08-05 build on Alioth with Android 11 and now this features are available, in fact, tested "Greenifying system apps" and works.
About other features I can't tell because I'm avoiding EdXposed/UGMS for while.

You are right, but in the previous version, with the xposed module 'Greenify System Applications' did not work.
Now it does work, but as you said without the xposed module.
I just hope that Oasis Feng continues to support Greenify.

Yes but I don't think Xposed features is necessary on Android 11 cause it was useful to "Doze" in past.
A11 works different than older Android versions and other things to control Doze you just got "looping".

Just remove the app that you need from Greenify.
Or switch to another hibernation profile (Default, Normal or Island [yuck...]).
What's the scoop?
Are there any alternatives do greenify that are up-to-date?

Just Servicely.
It works too but interface isn't made for beginners.
Greenify keep it more user friendly.

Android 11 can control Doze as well for all apps/system.
But don't keep Gservices on Doze.
So, using Xposed + Greenify or Universal GMS can't stop Gservices.
Using that is just a looping, doing the same thing for same results.

With MobileIconChanger you can replace any mobile data icon with any other, whether from your system, from older android versions or even some custom ones!
With a simple and powerful UI you can easily manage everything!
You can use it to just replace 4G with LTE, because they are basically the same but LTE looks cooler, or place 6G in there to prank your friends.

have you enabled the module for "SystemUI"? also check that its selected in whitelist mode or not selected in blacklist mode. it can't find icons if systemui is not hooked properly
Okay press on Restart SystemUI and after the restart is done, force-close the module and after that open up the settings again.
if it still happens can you get a logcat?
also can you send a screenshot of the normal icons when connected to mobile data? maybe sony has done some stuff to the os and changed the way the icons work
duplicate answer by accident - plz ignore
I hope this is what you want
I have made All what you said nothing works

What you sent is the XPosed Log, not an actual logcat.
I can't reproduce your issue, my EdXposed does work after some fiddling.
Please message me on XXXXXX then we can investigate together.

Support for the app has to happen here on XDA. There is no need to call users to other sites. Please read THIS.
Alright @Bellitsch89,
please disable all other modules, disable the activation scope for MobileIconChanger, make screenshots of the EdXposed settings, so that i may reproduce the situation and capture a proper logcat.
Module working perfectly.
Request: If possible, add feature to use Old/small signal style.

Just select icons from category Jellybean/Lollipop as replacements.
But as the mobile data indicator is still an extra icon, it will just be a bit smaller than the original icon and it will not be merged on top of the signal strength indicator.

thanks for informing me, it seems I've done a mistake uploading the module which now can only fixed by the mods. I've sent them a message. Until then just download it from the GitHub Releases and tell me if it works.
Doesn't work for me, not replacing anything.
Oneplus 7 with Android 11, Oxygen OS 11.0.1.1. LSPosed 1.4.5, Ressource Hooks enabled. Rebooted also after applying the icon changes.

Hello, this is because your system (OxygenOS) does not use the icons you changed.
See how your icon in the statusbar is very small and has activity indicators? compare that to aosp screenshots I've included. Same thing happens on Samsung OneUI.
I see on your screenshot a tiny 5G icon, it looks like that might be used by the system at some point because it visually would fit into the design of the statusbar icon on the screenshot.
If you want more precise feedback about the situation on your device, i need a logcat captured while restarting systemui.
Also it would be nice if you could send me your systems SystemUI.apk so I can analyze it for how the icons are saved on your system.
I have opened an issue on github page, I hope there is all the information you need, if you want I can explain my issue here, I am not sure where would you like the feedback and troubleshooting to be either here or github, or both, thanks in advance!!
