Files: https://pan.baidu.com/s/1REDL0xw4ssb1SKhB19l4vg
Unlock code: 6a6b
I think GT NEO is currently on RMX3031_11_A.25 and i found files related to A.25 on link provided above. I hope someone can try this.
Screenshot:
The detailed version of BL unlocking guide
One, three deadly questions
1. Do you know what is to unlock BootLoader and what is root authority?
If you don’t know, it is recommended that you do not unlock BootLoader, let alone root.
2. Will you use adb and fastboot? Will you use TWRP? Do you know how to do double-clearing, card swiping, etc.?
If not, it is recommended that you do not unlock BootLoader, let alone root.
3. What do you do after unlocking Bootloader & root?
If you don't even know what to do, I advise you not to try it with curiosity, and unlock it only for people who really need it.
The important thing is said three times, there are risks in playing the machine, and you need to be cautious when you refresh the machine. Read the notes for this post carefully. Please be at your own risk for serious consequences such as the phone's failure to turn on or data loss, and the official after-sales service can help you flash back the official firmware. (If the hardware of the phone is damaged due to flashing, do I need to send the phone for repair, and may need to pay for repairs)
Two, unlock preparation
1. Apply for a realme account
Apply for Portal → https://id.realme.com/index.html
2. Download and apply to unlock APK
Link: https://pan.baidu.com/s/1F7ZGGh9OmDoEhJmMPwO79w
Extraction code: h0xt
3. Install APK and apply for unlock qualification
After reading the risk warning carefully, wait for the official release of the unlocking authority (about 15 minutes), and you can check whether it has passed the review through the "Check review status" on the application interface. After issuing the unlocking authority, apply for the APP to write the relevant information into the system, and then the following unlocking operations can be performed.
4. Backup data
Before unlocking, you can back up personal data, open-Settings-Backup Settings-Other Settings-Backup and Restore, back up important data, and then copy the built-in storage Backup directory to the computer or mobile storage, anyway, don't put it in the operation On your mobile phone, you can also backup very important data such as contact call records, short messages, etc. to the cloud. After unlocking the BootLoader, you can restore the data by yourself after you perform the required gaming operations.
5. Mobile phone settings and data preparation
①Settings-About the phone-Tap the version number 5 times in a row-prompt the developer option has been opened;
②Settings-other settings-developer options-turn on OEM unlocking and USB debugging;
③Download adb & fastboot command:
https://developer.android.google.cn/studio/releases/platform-tools
●Download SDK Platform-Tools for Windows window operation
●Download SDK Platform-Tools for Mac Mac operation
●Download SDK Platform-Tools for Linux Linux operation
After the download is complete, restart the phone to enter Fastboot mode.
Three, unlocking process
1. Decompress the file just downloaded on the computer, open it, and put it in the C:Windows\System32 directory of the C drive, as shown in the figure;
2. Win+R open the cmd window, enter adb reboot bootloader / open the depth test APP, click to start the depth test (both methods are available);
3. When the phone restarts, you see DEVICE STATE: locked, indicating that the BootLoader is in a locked state at this time;
4. Start unlocking:
After connecting to the computer, enter fastboot flashing unlock or fastboot flashing unlock_critical in the computer cmd window
5. Ask if you want to unlock, use the volume key to select UNLOCK THE BOOTLOADER to confirm the unlock, and select DO NOT UNLOCK THE BOOTLOADER for "No" (it’s too late to regret at this time), and confirm with the power button;
6. At this time, the phone will restart and enter the recovery mode to format the data partition, and then automatically power on. Congratulations, the phone has been unlocked successfully.
Fourth, check the unlock status
1. Open the cmd window on Win+R, enter adb reboot bootloader /open the depth test APP, click to start the depth test; (both methods are available);
2. Enter Fastboot mode again, you can see DEVICE STATE: unlocked;
3. It means that BootLoader is unlocked at this time, and you can use fastboot flash [partition name] [file path] to flash the file;
4. Flashing TWRP into the player in FastBoot mode. Flashing twrp.img into the recovery partition. (twrp needs a competent person to compile);
5. fastboot flash recovery twrp.img;
6. Select recovery mode with the volume button, press the power button to confirm, and enter TWRP (recovery mode).
Five, lethal science
1. What is to unlock BootLoader?
BootLoader runs before the operating system kernel runs. It can initialize hardware devices and establish a memory space map, so as to bring the system's software and hardware environment to a suitable state, so as to prepare the correct environment for the final call of the operating system kernel. In embedded systems, there is usually no firmware program like BIOS, so the loading and starting tasks of the entire system are completely completed by BootLoader.
2. What is root authority?
Root authority means that the mobile phone has the highest authority. For example, the administrator of the computer can modify the mobile phone software and some functions of the mobile phone at will.
3. How to use adb and fastboot?
We don’t use much here:
adb reboot bootloader reboot into, bootloader mode
fastboot flashing unclock unlock bootloader mode
fastboot flash recovery xxx flash files to recovery partition or boot partition
fastboot flashing lock lock bootloader mode
4. How to use TWRP? How to perform double-clearing, card swiping and other flashing operations? What can I do after rooting?
①TWRP uses double clearing: Homepage->Clear->Slide to restore factory settings (this operation will delete files in your data partition except the built-in storage).
②Format Data: Homepage ->Clear ->Format Data ->Enter yes (this operation will clear all files in your data partition, including built-in storage.
③Card swiping: Homepage -> Installation -> Browse to the card swiping package you need, click and swipe to swipe in.
④Backup: Homepage -> Backup -> Select the partition you need to back up -> Slide backup.
⑤Restore: Homepage ->Restore ->Select the version to be restored ->Select the partition to be restored ->Slide to restore.
⑥Advanced: Homepage->Advanced->File Management; Homepage->Advanced->Terminal command line can enter terminal commands.
⑦After rooting, we can modify: software, user data, system, or flash into the three-party system. (Three-party system needs to be adapted)

Do I need to rollback to A.19 version before applying the scripts to my GT Neo?

Any TWRP supported file link?

Sony Xperia Complete Rooting and Flashing guide - Flashing Made Simple

So its time to have some fun flashing your phone.Rooting means getting acess to the Root of the Phone Rom.Once rooted you can install Custom Roms [Operating Systems],Remove Crappy apps, get better performance and Battery etc. Rooting your phone is Not Big job ,But a Bit lengthy at the first time..But you will end up in trouble if you dont know the actual procedure. That doesn't mean you will brick your phone.Android phones are based on Flash ROMs ,just like a memory card. So flashing a 100 or1000 times wont destroy it.It is completely Safe and there is nothing much to worry about .But make sure sure you have an un interrupted power supply if you are using a PC. So here i am taking effort to bring out a step by step description of the process.
Understanding what it is...
Many people still doesn't know what actually is rooting and a custom rom mean. The Process is to completely Remove your Current Phone OS and Install a Fresh copy of another OS. If you have installed a windows /Linux formatting your pc its easy to understand.Your device has a 440MB flash memory for OS and 420 Mb Internal memory for installing apps etc. When the phone comes to you not the entire memory of 420 Mb is available to u ,because sony has included some stock Bolt wares in ur OS.So rooting provides a larger internal memory as well .In your pc you might have come across the bootloader /boot menu .In your sony phone this boot-loader is Locked to prevent alterations. But android being an opensource stuff , it is required that the phone manufacturer should allow you to install Custom androids. So in order to access the Boot-loader u will have to unlock it first. After unlocking a recovery Mode is to be installed. That's what u call kernelling. After that , u will wipe the User memory 420mb ,Format[Done auto] & install the Zip file containing android os onto the 440Mb memory. The zip file contains the Customized android OS.Its called the rom .MiUi is one such rom.
Benefits: Lots of Customization , More features ,Better battery ,A faster OS,Latest Android versions.
Negatives: Voids warranty .
Why it voids warranty ?
Simply because Sony cant take up the responsibility if you destroy your phone hardware by your mistake. For example if u overclock [Possible only after rooting] the CPU there are chances that it smokes out.
Warning : Unlocking Boot loader voids Sony Service Center warranty.
Rooting involves 3 steps,
1-Unlocking Bootloader
2-Installing a Custom Bootloader /Kernel/Recovery
3-Installing the Rom /Android OS.
Tools Required [Download all of them before starting ]
1.Sony Xperia Flashtool *[Optional]
2.Drivers
3.android_winusb.inf Driver[Click to Download]
4.ROM & Kernel (Once downloaded , Copy the Rom File to the Micro SD[Important, if u don't wanna end up searching for a card reader ] )
OR
ROM-2 [Lasans's MiUi ] ( If u find any issues with the other one Try this Rom,Download only the Rom File )
*Actually you do not need the Complete Xperia flasher tool. you are only using the Fastboot from Xperia flasher. If u don't have time to download the Flash tool just download only the Fastboot tool and Drivers from HERE or Here .But its better to download Flash tool as u can perform some additional operations like Installing apks , Uninstalling features etc . using the tool.
Step 1 : Unlocking the Bootloader
1. Unlocking the Bootloader requires the Unlock Code. You can get it from the sony website at the Following link .
http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/
Enter your Phone IMEI ,Email etc. and Get the unlock Code. While you enter the IMEI take care not to Include the last DIGIT of your IMEI.IMEI should be 14 digits long.
2. Now Install the SONY Xperia Flash tool from Here
http://androxyde.github.com/ OR JUST UNZIP THE FASTBOOT.ZIP TO C:\
3. You will need fastboot on the computer to unlock the bootloader of the Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman . Fastboot is available in Xperia Flashtool folder in C:\Flashtool or where you have installed Flash tool OR IN C:\ WHERE U HAVE UNZIPPED IT TO.
4. Now Power off your Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman.
5. Press & hold the Volume Up button while connecting the Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman to the computer. The Notification LED will now glow in Blue color. This is called Fastboot Mode.
[ Press and Hold Vol Down key while connecting to USB will Boot in Flash Mode ]
6. If the drivers are not installed automatically ,go to the Drivers folder in Xperia flash tool folder and install the drivers. You can check if the drivers are properly installed by going to the windows device manager and see if there is any Unidentified device .If properly installed it will shown in device manager. If u find an entry "s1 boot fastboot " with Missing drivers in device manager ,Right Click there -> Update Driver ->Browse My computer ->Let me Pick -> Have Disk >> Then Point to the Downloaded "android_winusb.inf" file. >> Choose "Android Bootloader device".Now your drivers Should be installed. In the device manager You will find an Android device.
7. Go to Terminal or Command prompt in windows and change directory to "C:\Flashtool\x10flasher_lib" .You will find the fastboot.exe file there.
See the Image attached at Bottom of this page .
Enter following commands to navigate
cd\
cd flashtool\x10flasher_lib or cd fastboot
Now you are int the folder containing fastboot.exe
8. Now check if the phone is properly connceted and detected by Typing the following in the cmd .
fastboot -i 0x0fce getvar version .It must return the version of fastboot .Eg: .3
If it shows "Waiting for device" the device is not connected properly. If it returns anything else [ like .3 ] the device is detected .
9. Now type the Following and press ENTER
fastboot -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0xKEY
where KEY should be replaced by the Unlock key you generated from the Sonymobile website .
10. Once it display Flash operation complete , you are Done .Your phone Bootloader is no more locked.
PS:If you find any problems using this method you may follow one these links.
http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/instructions
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1560613
Step 2 : Installing the Kernel
Android is based on the Linux kernel.A kernel is actually a link between the OS and the hardware. It controls the hardware. So obviously it has got something to do with the performance & battery life. The kernels contain the RECOVERY MODE+ROOTING. You may read more about kernels on xda-developers.com .So there are a number of kernels available for Sony live . You may find it in the rom download pages usually.
Two of the popular kernels are
1. X-Kernel
2. Rage kernel
Download one of these kernels, a ROM file and flash your phone.
Here we are working with the Expeacers MiUi Rom.
Steps
1. Once you are done with Unlocking Rest is So easy .Do not disconnect the phone .We are going to use the phone in Fast boot mode. If u have disconnected ,don't worry ,just shut down [Or pullout & Re-insert the battery ]the device and Reconnect it to PC Holding the Vol+ key pressed. Now the notification led will turn Blue. You are back in fast boot mode.
2. Copy the Downloaded kernel img file into the folder where fast boot is located and rename it to "Boot.img" .
3. Now go to Command prompt , Navigate to the x10flasher_lib[As done before ] ,Enter the following command.
fastboot flash boot boot.img or
if it doesn't do anything
fastboot -i 0xfce flash boot boot.img
4. Now you are done ."Flash operation complete " will be displayed. Disconnect your phone from PC.
Before you proceed to next step you should have copied the ROM[Zip file ] to your Memory card in the phone.
Step 3 : Installing the ROM
This is the easiest part.Just turn on your phone ,after a few 5-10 seconds the notification led will glow .
At this time Press the vol+ key once. Phone will enter the Boot loader . Now you can see a number of option.Use the Vol+/- key to navigate ,Home key to select . Choose the wipe Cache ,Wipe Rom/factory Reset options[in some boot loaders ] .This is important as this will clean up all the previous user data and installed apps. Wipe actually cleans the internal memory and Cache. This is called clean install.
Now after cleaning up ,Choose the "Install Zip From SD Card" . Now follow the on screen instructions Rest is self explanatory. Once you finish installing the Rom Reboot the device. In most of the cases First time booting might be so long. All you have to do is be patient. If its taking longer than usual try pressing the Home key once.
So its time to Enjoy a new android... A yummy Ice cream Sandwich. Now you may try as many ROMs as u wish by simply following the step 3 only.
Happy Flashing... Enjoy ...

How to Root Android N
Prerequisites
Backup your device’s internal storage, messages, contacts, and everything else that you feel essential.
Charge your supported Nexus device to at least 60% battery level, to avoid any disturbances during the process.
Make sure that your Nexus device’s bootloader has been unlocked and ‘OEM unlocking‘ is enabled in Settings > Developer options.
Instructions
Using TWRP
Of course, you must have TWRP v3.0.0+ installed. Grab it for your device from — https://twrp.me/devices/huaweinexus6p.html And flash it using the fastboot command. If TWRP isn’t available for your device, or you have forced encryption enabled, use the CF-Auto-Root method below.
Download SuperSU v2.70 zip package: https://download.chainfire.eu/927/SuperSU/RC-SuperSU-v2.70-20160314191951.zip
Connect your Nexus to the PC via USB cable.
Now, transfer the SuperSU package to the device internal storage.
Disconnect the device and power it off completely.
Time to boot your device into TWRP recovery mode. Press and hold Volume down and Power keys until you see the bootloader mode. Once in bootloader, press the volume keys until ‘Recovery mode‘ shows up. Finally, press the power button to enter TWRP.
Now that your device has entered TWRP recovery, go to Install. Browse your internal storage and select the ‘RC-SuperSU-v2.70-20160314191951.zip‘ file. Swipe the ‘Swipe to confirm Flash‘ button.
The process will take a few seconds, and then you can tap on ‘Reboot System‘.
Using CF-Auto-Root
If the above method didn’t work for you, this might cut some slack.
Download CF-Auto-Root package: http://dl-1.va.us.xda-developers.co....zip?key=UMEs03ZOQAOFa5WZz1vQnw&ts=1458902487
Once, you have downloaded the package, extract the files to a suitable folder, using an archive manager like 7-Zip or WinRAR.
Boot your Nexus into bootloader mode — Power off the device. Now, press and hold Volume down and Power keys, until you see the bootloader screen.
When the phone/tablet is in bootloader mode, connect it to the PC using a USB cable.
Go to the folder where the files were extracted in step #2, and double-click on ‘root-windows.bat‘.
A command-line window will now open. While making sure that your device is in bootloader mode and connected to the PC, press any key on the keyboard to start the process.
Follow the instructions as stated on the command-line window. Finally, it will take a few seconds to flash, and upon finishing, your device will reboot automatically, beginning with the root procedure. During this process, your device may reboot several times.
When the device has booted up successfully, disconnect it from the PC.

Probably not a good idea. A full wipe is always best in my opinion, especially when you're talking about going between major releases

Help with fixing app force close

I found an app called package signer from https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/tool-package-signer-1-0-t3533073 to sign the zip files in android to fix signature verfication error in some recoveries....
Developer stopped development of that app...
and also that thread is closed...
It signs correctly but one issue is, it can't able to sign zips that are greater than 20mb ......
It force closes when working with large zip files...
It is open source is github....
Sir osm0sis i have seen you are helping in zip signers..
Can you please help....
I hope some developer can fix this and post below.....
Please help by fixing that force close error of signing big zip files......
Thanks in advance...!
Edit:- See https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...-apk-zip-within-android.3835975/post-81324327 for solution.
Nope, you should use zipsigner.jar from my Complete Shell Zip + Signing thread.

DISCLAIMERS (please read !)
The content seen in this thread is targeted at this specific forum's device, the Realme C12, codenamed RMX2189.
Follow the instructions shown in this thread at your own risks, I will not be held responsible for bricking your device, you did this yourself.
That said, the information will be kept up to date relatively frequently, and should you follow the steps and ask questions below when unsure, everything will be fine!
No files will be directly provided. Do not use pre-created/re-uploaded content. Instead I'll teach you to gather the required files from official websites, and create the other ones yourself.
ROM (GSI) Recommendations:
Ordered by personal preference:
1) CAOS
2) LOSQ (LineageOS GSI)
3) crDroid
I'm more than open to feedback, suggested changes & improvements!
Prerequisites for most manipulations:
Your phone, well charged if possible
The USB cable used to link your phone to your computer (the one on your charger works just fine)
A computer, with recent ADB & Fastboot (Platform Tools)
Some time, patience, and the ability to read and follow instructions!
Unlock your bootloader (otherwise this thread is useless to you as it's required for rooting as well as installing custom ROMs)
Tutorial:
Step 0 - Great! You're ready to go. Make sure to backup your phone's data before continuing on with this tutorial, as unlocking will make it factory reset (wipe)!
Step 1 - Download and Open In Depth Tool ( Attached With the Guide Down)
{

Step 2 - Click “Start applying”.
Step 3 - Please read the disclaimer in detail, select the checkbox, and submit your application
Step 4 - The Application Will be checked by realme Servers..(Wait 10 mins)
Step 5 - The unlock tool apk will show the status of the unlock request- Successful
Step 6 - You can now click “Start the in-depth test” and the device will reboot automatically. The following string will display on the screen: fast boot_unlock_verify ok
Step 7 - Now Download and install the fastboot tool on your PC and ready to unlock it.
Step 8 - Now in Fastboot Mode type this command
Code:
fastboot flashing unlock
and Press enter.
Step 9 - On your phone press the Volume Up key to select "UNLOCK THE BOOTLOADER” (or press the Volume Down key if you have changed your mind to select "DO NOT UNLOCK THE BOOTLOADER”). When you click the Volume Up, your phone will reboot and enter the in-depth test mode - all user data on the phone will be erased - I recommend you perform a data backup prior to applying.
Step 10 - Now type
Code:
fastboot reboot
And there you go! Your phone will reboot and you can set it all up again, with the ability to follow the rooting tutorial below, and you can also install GSIs/custom ROMs/recovery!
Rooting with Magisk
Tutorial:
The procedure is the same whether you're on the stock RealmeUI Rom or on a custom GSI (treble) one.
Step 1 - Download the latest Magisk Manager on your phone.
Go to the link above, click the latest MagiskManager-vX.X.X.apk you see in the list to start the download, open the file and install.
Step 2 - Download the latest Realme Official Rom from Software Update - realme depending on your region.
Step 3 - Get your ROM you downloaded above, it should be a .ozip archive. Add .zip extension to it. Extract it.
Step 4 - You should now get a folder like shown below, and..
Copy the boot.img to your phone's /sdcard/ folder (where the Android, DCIM, Download, and more are present, just drop it in there).
And here's how it shoud look inside your phone's storage in the end.
Step 5 - On your phone, open up Magisk Manager.
Click the Magisk Install button as shown below.
Then Select and Patch a File.
Go look for your boot.img you previously copied to your phone and pick it.
Click Let's go! and wait for Magisk to complete the process!
Step 6 - Link your phone to your PC, and grab the file the Magisk Manager created. It's located in your downloads folder, called magisk_patched.img.
Step 7 - Paste it where your ADB & Fastboot (Platform Tools) are located, along with the vbmeta.img file located in Stock ROM's images folder from earlier, where you grabbed the original boot.img.
You should now have a folder like this with:
adb(.exe)
fastboot(.exe)
magisk_patched.img
vbmeta.img
Extra files from the platform tools
Step 8 - Alright, we're ready to root! Turn off your phone, and get in fastboot mode like we did during the bootloader unlocking (Power + Volume Down).
Step 9 - Link your phone to your PC with the USB cable if not done already.
Step 10 - Shift + Right click in an empty space inside the folder we prepared in Step 7, and click Open Command window here.
Inside the Command window, input the following commands line by line, in order.
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot devices
And make sure your device shows up, should be a bunch of numbers and letters, a couple spaces, and fastboot.
If nothing does, go back to Step 8 and try again.
Code:
fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
fastboot flash boot magisk_patched.img
fastboot reboot
You're done! Your phone will reboot, hopefully, without a hitch! Open up Magisk Manager, and check that it's installed.
That said, you will have issues leaving it like this. You need to hide the fact that your phone is rooted, there's no downside to doing it.
Check out the Passing SafetyNet tutorial further down below, it's quick and easy.
Getting EdXposed (Not recommended unless really needed, requires Magisk)
I very much do not recommend to EdXposed your phone unless you have a very good reason for it. It's a pain to pass SafetyNet, doesn't get updated as often as it could/should and has very niche use cases for which it's worth it.
That said, I do include it here for people who know what they're getting into and want the up-to-date instructions on how to do it.
Tutorial:
This procedure requires to be rooted with Magisk. See the tutorial above.
Step 1 - Inside Magisk Manager, go to the Modules tab (4th icon), click the search button (bottom right) and search Riru.
Step 2 - Install the Riru (Riru - Core) module, Activate it and Reboot.
Step 3 - Install the Riru - EdXposed (YAHFA or SandHook, both work fine) module, Activate it and Reboot.
Step 4 - Download and install the latest EdXposed Manager in the exact same way you did with Magisk Manager.
Step 5 - Open it up, it should say EdXposed Framework is active!
You're done! You should now be able to install EdXposed modules.
That said, you will have issues leaving it like this. You need to hide the fact that your phone is EdXposed.
It's a bit more complicated than hiding Magisk, but it's doable! Check out the Passing SafetyNet tutorial further down below, it's quick and easy.
Passing SafetyNet (Only possible with Magisk. Not with SuperSU on GSI's)
Tutorial:
For Magisk Rooted PhonesEnable Magisk Hide inside Magisk Manager's settings. For EdXposed PhonesAgain, I highly recommend not EdXposing your phone and sticking to just Magisk if you can help it.
You should also know that this method will show you're passing SafetyNet inside Magisk but it's a pain to do and isn't as well hidden as Magisk alone.
Step 1 - Do the step for Rooted phones listed above if not done already.
Step 2 - In EdXposed Manager, get the HiddenCore Module and activate it.
Step 3 - Now, in the side-menu: Compat List > tick HiddenCore Module.
Step 4 - Then, go to Settings > Framework > Enable "App List mode".
Step 5 - Finally, Applications(Black List) and tick: Android Services Library, Chrome, Google Play services, Google Play Store, Google Services FrameworkReboot and enjoy! You're all set and SafetyNet should pass just fine.
Installing GSI's (Custom ROMs)
Tutorial:
Step 1 - Pick your poison in the Treble Forums!
Check the top of this thread if you want to see my recommendations with links to them.
Step 2 - Download the chosen ROM, A/B Arm64 version (usually nicknamed b), with (g) or without GApps (v), rooted (S) or not (N), that's entirely up to you.
It should be an .img.xz file, extract it and you'll get an .img file.
You're ready to flash. Make sure to backup your phone's data before continuing on with this tutorial, as wiping it is required for installation!
Step 3 - Put your phone into fastboot mode (Power + Volume Up) and link it to your PC.
Step 4 - Move the .img file you downloaded to your ADB & Fastboot (Platform Tools) folder, and rename it to system.img.
Step 5 - Shift + Right click in an empty space inside the folder, and click Open Command window here.
Inside the Command window, input the following commands line by line, in order.
Code:
fastboot reboot fastboot
fastboot --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot -w
fastboot reboot
Your phone will now reboot on its own, using the new ROM you picked earlier, set it all up and enjoy!
Relock your bootloader
Tutorial:
Step 0 - Back to stock ROM by flashing it in stock recovery.
Step 1 - Download the unlock tool again to apply to exit the in-depth test.
Step 2 - Click “Apply to exit in-depth test”. You should manual operation enter the Fastboot mode(Press both the Volume up button and the Power button when power is off).
Step 3 - In the Fastboot mode, use the engineering command below on your PC to re-lock the bootloader.
- Enter the command: adb reboot bootloader
- Press “Enter” on your keyboard
- Enter the command: fastboot flashing lock
- Press “Enter” on your keyboardStep 4 - Press the Volume Up button to select the “Lock bootloader” option (or press the Volume Down button to select “Do not lock bootloader" and keep it unlocked).
Step 5 - Then enter command fastboot reboot. The phone will reboot and exit the in-depth test mode. All user data on the phone will be erased - we recommend you perform a data backup prior to applying.

I'm a newbie here, the last time I have installed a custom ROM on Asus phone over five years ago with lineage os.
Will I be successful if I follow below instructions, as your instructions above are short and suited for pros.
search
Install LineageOS on kebabkeyboard_arrow_left Back to the overview
warning
WARNING: These instructions only work if you follow every section and step precisely.
Do not continue after something fails!
Basic requirements
Read through the instructions at least once before actually following them, so as to avoid any problems due to any missed steps!
Make sure your computer has adb and fastboot. Setup instructions can be found here.
Enable USB debugging on your device.
Make sure that your model is actually listed in the “Supported models” section here (exact match required!)
warning
WARNING: Before following these instructions please ensure that the device is currently using Android 12 firmware.
If the vendor provided multiple updates for that version, e.g. security updates, make sure you are on the latest!
If your current installation is newer or older than Android 12, please upgrade or downgrade to the required version before proceeding (guides can be found on the internet!).
Unlocking the bootloaderinfo_outline
NOTE: The steps below only need to be run once per device.
warning
WARNING: Unlocking the bootloader will erase all data on your device! Before proceeding, ensure the data you would like to retain is backed up to your PC and/or your Google account, or equivalent. Please note that OEM backup solutions like Samsung and Motorola backup may not be accessible from LineageOS once installed.
Enable OEM unlock in the Developer options under device Settings, if present.
Connect the device to your PC via USB.
On the computer, open a command prompt (on Windows) or terminal (on Linux or macOS) window, and type:
adb reboot bootloader
You can also boot into fastboot mode via a key combination:
With the device powered off, hold Volume Up + Volume Down + Power.
Once the device is in fastboot mode, verify your PC finds it by typing:
fastboot devices
If you don’t get any output or an error:
on Windows: make sure the device appears in the device manager without a triangle. Try other drivers until the command above works!
on Linux or macOS: If you see no permissions fastboot try running fastboot as root. When the output is empty, check your USB cable and port!
Now type the following command to unlock the bootloader:
fastboot oem unlock
info_outline
NOTE: At this point the device may display on-screen prompts which will require interaction to continue the process of unlocking the bootloader. Please take whatever actions the device asks you to to proceed.
If the device doesn’t automatically reboot, reboot it. It should now be unlocked.
Since the device resets completely, you will need to re-enable USB debugging to continue.
Flashing the dtbo partitionwarning
WARNING: This platform requires the dtbo partition to be flashed for recovery to work properly, the process to do so is described below.
Download dtbo file from here. Download the file named dtbo.img from the directory named with the latest date.
Power off the device, and boot it into bootloader mode:
With the device powered off, hold Volume Up + Volume Down + Power.
Flash the downloaded image file to your device by typing (replace <dtbo> with the actual filename!):
fastboot flash dtbo <dtbo>.img
Installing a custom recovery using fastboot
Download Lineage Recovery. Simply download the latest recovery file, named something like lineage-19.1-20220825-recovery-kebab.img.
Connect your device to your PC via USB.
When the output is empty, check your USB cable and port!
check
TIP: Some devices have buggy USB support while in bootloader mode, if you see fastboot hanging with no output when using commands such as fastboot getvar ..., fastboot boot ..., fastboot flash ... you may want to try a different USB port (preferably a USB Type-A 2.0 one) or a USB hub.
Flash recovery onto your device (replace <recovery_filename> with the actual filename!):
fastboot flash recovery <recovery_filename>.img
Now reboot into recovery to verify the installation.
Use the menu to navigate to and to select the Recovery option.
Ensuring all firmware partitions are consistentinfo_outline
NOTE: The steps below only need to be run once per device.
In some cases, the inactive slot can be unpopulated or contain much older firmware than the active slot, leading to various issues including a potential hard-brick. We can ensure none of that will happen by copying the contents of the active slot to the inactive slot.
To do this, sideload the copy-partitions-20220613-signed.zip package by doing the following:
Download the copy-partitions-20220613-signed.zip file from here. It should have a MD5 sum of 79f2f860830f023b7030c29bfbea7737 or a SHA-256 sum of 92f03b54dc029e9ca2d68858c14b649974838d73fdb006f9a07a503f2eddd2cd.
Sideload the copy-partitions-20220613-signed.zip package:
On the device, select “Apply Update”, then “Apply from ADB” to begin sideload.
On the host machine, sideload the package using: adb sideload copy-partitions-20220613-signed.zip
info_outline
NOTE: The copy-partitions script was created by LineageOS developer erfanoabdi and filipepferraz
Now reboot to recovery by tapping “Advanced”, then “Reboot to recovery”.
Installing LineageOS from recovery
Download the LineageOS installation package that you would like to install or build the package yourself.
(Optionally): If you want to install an application package add-on such as Google Apps (use the arm64 architecture), please read and follow the instructions on Google Apps page
If you are not in recovery, reboot into recovery:
With the device powered off, hold Volume Down + Power.
Now tap Factory Reset, then Format data / factory reset and continue with the formatting process. This will remove encryption and delete all files stored in the internal storage, as well as format your cache partition (if you have one).
Return to the main menu.
Sideload the LineageOS .zip package:
On the device, select “Apply Update”, then “Apply from ADB” to begin sideload.
On the host machine, sideload the package using: adb sideload filename.zip.
check
TIP: Normally, adb will report Total xfer: 1.00x, but in some cases, even if the process succeeds the output will stop at 47% and report adb: failed to read command: Success. In some cases it will report adb: failed to read command: No error or adb: failed to read command: Undefined error: 0 which is also fine.
(Optionally): If you want to install any add-ons, click Advanced, then Reboot to Recovery, then when your device reboots, click Apply Update, then Apply from ADB, then adb sideload filename.zip those packages in sequence.
info_outline
NOTE: Add-ons aren’t signed with LineageOS’s official key, and therefore when they are sideloaded, Lineage Recovery will present a screen that says Signature verification failed, this is expected, please click Continue.
info_outline
NOTE: If you want the Google Apps add-on on your device, you must follow this step before booting into LineageOS for the first time!
Once you have installed everything successfully, click the back arrow in the top left of the screen, then “Reboot system now”.

How To Guide Enabling 4G+ & 5G on Xperia 1 III on non - supported regions (Rooted)

First of all Thanks to johndaniel, htcmage, gorEisberg and Forbesii for their amazing work.
Hello, fellow Xperia users like you I had wondered why Sony had to go with this stupid idea of blocking some regions from accessing 5G, if they had played their cards correctly this could have been a huge hit.
Anyway, let's enable 4G+ and 5G
Note: I have tested this on my Xperia 1 III XQ-BC52 with EU firmware, and I have noticed a battery drain using 5G.
Important Note: You don't lose Wide vine if you follow this correctly because I didn't lose mine. BTW I don't take any responsibilities
And yeah you have to do this after every OTA so this is going to be fun.
Prerequisites:
* Xperia 1 III
* Windows Laptop
* Firmware for your device
* USB Cable
Downloading Firmware
Download XperiFirm from https://xperifirm.com/download/xperifirm-v4-6-0/ and Install
Open the XperiFirm and Download the firmware for your device ( check your model number and download the firmware)
Preparing the Device for Rooting
* Back up all the data from your device.
Make sure the device is supported for Bootloader unlock by opening the dialer and enter the code *#*#7378423#*#* and then press Service Info -> Configuration.
If the Bootloader unlock status is Yes, then you’re lucky and continue the rest of the guide.
Visit https://developer.sony.com/develop/open-devices/get-started/unlock-bootloader/ and Select your device and enter IMEI and get the code.
Enable Developer Options and then Enable OEM Unlocking and USB debugging on your device.
Download Platform tools for Windows using this link
https://dl.google.com/android/repository/platform-tools-latest-windows.zip
Open CMD and go to the Platform-tools directory and enter the below command:
adb reboot bootloader
Once it’s in bootloader mode or fastboot mode you will see blue light then type this command on CMD:
fastboot oem unlock 0xYOURKEY
Wait for the reply on cmd and then type
fastboot reboot
Now your device is Unlocked.
Rooting
Open the firmware folder you have downloaded and look for boot.sin file it looks something like boot_X-FLASH-ALL-4BA8.sin with around 96MB size (might look different for other versions and regions)
Download UnSin Exe from https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/tool-unsin-sin-v3-v4-v5-unpacker-v1-13.3128106/ and then drag and drop the boot.sin this will give you boot.img
Rename the boot_X-FLASH-ALL-4BA8.img into boot.img (easier to flash) and then using Magisk Manager to patch it.
Just don’t delete the original boot.img we need that for the re-locking bootloader.
Now copy the magisk_patched.img into the Platform-tools folder and rename it into boot.img
Open CMD and go to the Platform-tools directory and enter the below command:
adb reboot bootloader
Once in fastboot mode type this command
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Wait for it and then type
fastboot reboot
Open magisk and verify it's rooted.
Enabling 5G
Open CMD and go to the Platform-tools directory and enter the below command:
adb shell
su
setprop persist.usb.eng 1
If the phone, asks for Allow access press Deny.
After that, it should show up 3 Xperia on the device manager and install one by one manually using Qualcomm driver just youtube this part. Use Qualcomm USB diagnostic 9091 or 9081.
Download QPST from https://qpsttool.com/ and install and open EFS Explorer and select LAHAINA if the name is there otherwise try one by one until you see a bunch of folders.
Once all the folders are showing up go to Policyman folder and copy carrier_policy.xml attached in this post and paste it there.
Restart the device.
You should now have the Speed of 5G or 4G+
Don’t stop here.
Time to go back to Stock (Unroot)
Open CMD and go to the Platform-tools directory and enter the below command:
adb reboot bootloader
Remember the original boot.img we have before patching copy that file into platform tools and replace it with the patched magisk boot.img
Then type this command:
fastboot flash boot.img
Once that’s done then type this command:
fastboot oem lock
Wait for the response and then type this command:
fastboot reboot
Once that’s done your device should format and bootloader locked and back to stock ROM with 5G.

Just curious but would anyone who has done this please type in their phone dialer menu *#*#service#*#* and tell me what there "current modem config" is under the "Software info" menu?
I have managed to get Volte working with Telstra here in Australia but according the above menu it's not using the Telstra MBN file that is loaded on the phone and is instead using "Row Commercial"
Just curious as I think this might be a bug with the menu not showing the correct file or it is something going a bit crazy on my phone. Cheers, Bentree.
Also @arjun_m4 thank you for this nice guide. What changes did you make to the Carrier_Policy.xml file?
Xperia 1iii indian sim volte wifi calling support but Not 5G support

* Xperia 1 III
* Windows Laptop
* Firmware for your device
* USB Cable

Thanks for your post Bentree.
I would be very grateful for your advice as to how to get VOLTE going with Xperia 1 III on Telstra.
I would love to get 5G as well. Has anyone tried this firmware change on a XQ-BC72 and had success in getting 5G in a country where this has been disabled?

Thanks Bentree, whenever you get a chance. Telstra support have obviously not been helpful nor has Sony Australia. If you have a way of accessing 5G and VOLTE on Xperia 1 iii in Oz that woud be awesome

Yeah Sony will just straight up tell you that, because they have withdrawn from Oz they can't do nothing. Telstra will just say that they don't support the phone on their network. I'll get to it this weekend. Sunday is my only day off from work so I'll write you up a guide then.
For some reason when i try to copy item file from PC i get an error.
File Copy Error: Carrier_Policy.xml is greater than 2048 bytes. Item File Size Limit is 2048 bytes.
okay so here's my stock file that i can easily transfer between my pc and phone using this method but the moment i try the edited one from the op i get an error about max file size...so far i have tried this with 2 different PC, and also i'm on a custom rom so idk if that's the problem.
Not able to perform this action:
"After that, it should show up 3 Xperia on the device manager and install one by one manually using Qualcomm driver just youtube this part. Use Qualcomm USB diagnostic 9091 or 9081"
Any pointers or exact youtube links?
