Question Realme GT 5G (RMX2202) Battery Capacity shows 3550 mAh instead of 4500 mAh - Realme GT

Hi all,
I just got my realme GT 5G (RMX2202) 12GB/256GB yesterday. Then, I have downloaded several phone/battery checkers apps and all of the apps show the same result, 3550 mAh instead of 4500. Below attached the data captured from DevCheck and AccuBattery (Remark: The 3rd image, design capacity shows 3550 mAh at first. I have changed it to 4500 mAh manually).
I need some professional advice on how to check my battery health and capacity accurately. If this is manufacturer defects then I have to return the order immediately.
Thank you.

This is a known software bug, please update your device to the newest version and check the stats again. For me, the system update solved this bug

Updated to the latest version.
Thanks. Problem solved, but the battery drain quite fast. A round of PUBG with medium settings used up to 10% of my battery. Then, I found that my phone has no fast charge. May I know, how can I switch it on and off like Samsung devices?

I have read a german review which states, that realme is faking their battery capacity - they have charged it with a 5V/2A charger and calculated the real capacity, which is indeed about 3500mAh.
Realme GT Testbericht
Das Realme GT wurde zum Start massiv als Flagship Killer gehyped. Nach unserem Test steht fest: Eingehalten wird das nicht! Tatsächlich macht das Gesamtpaket kaum Sinn. Alle Details in diesem Testbericht.
www.chinamobilemag.de
is it possible, that this could be true?
I know that the WIFI6 problems had gone with a update, which got on the phones a few days ago, also I know that this phone thermal throttles and it then has a performance similar or lower than a snapdragon 865, is this also true?

This review was released, before the system update came. It is solved, it was a software issue.
Can't say much to Wifi 6, but to the throttle and heat up design;
I benchmarked mine today 2 times with antutu and measured the temps, it won't get higher tgan 51° celsius for me. "CPU Throttling test" from playstore showed me a max. CPU usage of 80-85% at this temp, but it got really fast cool downed to 40° after a few minutes and the CPU usage went back to 90-95%

No. There are several youtubers that did unassembly the phone, and the battery is original (double battery each with 30w charging capacity)
It is indeed 4500mah.
About the draining it will be gone in few days

but this means, that it is indeed throttling - so you have to actively cool it to use it at higher workloads.
There is still no development on this phone, is it? so no twrp, no custom roms etc....

No because there is no source code of the kernel.
If it had source code even myself could compile twrp easily.
Another thing.. Throtlling is not high in this phone if you compare to mi11 which slow down 40~50%
idk tbh

Like samuk (post above me) already said, in comparison the CPU handle indeed the temperature better than it's opponents

@Sony make.belive I have questions about realme GT.
1st, Does your phone camera will go out of focus when you stay close to an object around 7cm+-?? Although I have clicked the screen to focus, the image still getting blur like this.
2nd, How to turn off Super Dart charge mode in realme GT?

Didn't took that much photos/videos on my GT, but yeah, the standard camera app is sh*t. I suggest to use gcam by urnyx:
Urnyx05: GCam_7.3.018_Urnyx05-v2.5.apk
Download GCam_7.3.018_Urnyx05-v2.5.apk by Urnyx05.

On 4pda.to, post #3263 someone uploaded a .config file for gcam:
Realme GT - Обсуждение - 4PDA
Realme GT - Обсуждение, Смартфон, 6,43"
4pda.to
Sadly, I don't have an account there, so I can't provide a downloadlink nor share my experience with it.
You want to turn off super dart charge mode? Then just don't use the original charger or cable, that comes with it

I live in Israel, a very high price 795$ Waiting for some decline in price
But now I know what to buy
be sure that Alpha is exellent phone m8
be sure that Alpha forum is warming up - as alpha forum is rising as population & threads
first TWRP now Edemony rom TW,I`m downloading now
simple test & if everything OK,Edemony will shere it
Sorry
But I do not understand what you meant. be sure that Alpha forum is warm up?
So far i have been using alpha for about 3 weeks already, I find the phone to heat up considerably less as compared to others. (I came from an xperia z1) however I usually keep it on powersaving mode to save on battery. Phone works really well in powersaving mode anyway, and games run fine as well!
I am thinking of Alpha also , because it may be more
reliable for texting, mms messages than Z3 Compact .
In some ways Compact is better for me but I am concerned about day to day Business tasks with Z3C.
There will soon be a Samsung 2500 Mah Battery Kit with Backplate for Alpha ( made by Samsung )
In my case the Alpha is really warm in some cases. Mainly when I have a lot of background apps.
To get cooler I need to use CleanMaster and kill apps.
But that's ok. What is strange is that when I play Leo's Fortune for 10min it doesn't warm so much....

Does anyone here NOT have the weird screen battery drain issue?

What the title said. Does anyone not have the issue where screen is draining the battery even when its off? Also I read a lot of people complaining about 4-6h SOT time, so much that I'm beginning to think that's a feature not a bug. But the idle screen usage thing is weird. If you don't have that issue could you post a screenshot of your screen usage? Everyone is showing at least 70% and that I assume is too high. On my current phone its nowhere near that much with max brightness and actually on. I currently own an LG Optimus L7II (P710) and it's near the end of its life span, so its time for a new phone. Yes RN2 screen is bigger but its not that bigger to cause such a huge drain.
I'm preparing to buy this phone (Prime version) and I've only found it in one shop in my country (where on their site says 2.0ghz 32gb internal memory version, but afaik if its 32gb its prime and should be 2.2ghz, so error I guess, I'll call them to confirm), so I'm trying to gather as much info about it and whats gonna be an issue with the phone. I'll be happy if it gets through the day with about 3h actual light gaming or chatting in viber. I occasionally only play PokemonGO when I go out for a walk or cycle for 2-3h, and some card games at home, nothing too heavy. Not that I'm able on my current phone anyway. lol
Also a side question if I may, whats the deal with the kernel? The source is needed to fix issues like the battery drain and make truly custom roms, right? Are they ever going to release the source code? I'm guessing the answer is maybe, we don't know yet. Just thought maybe someone has an insight to share about previous Xiaomi phones and kernels.
Xiaomi RN2 is the only phone out of 3 that have the things I want(Min => 2gb RAM, quad-core, 3000mAh removable battery, gyroscope, gps, sd-card slot, and under 250 euros), and the only one in my country barely available. So I'm freaking out a bit over this battery drain issue.
EDIT: Crap, the only shop I found it at, at reasonable price doesn't have it. Only Note 3s, and I don't want note 3 cause of built-in battery. Guess I'm stuck ordering online and paying 30% custom fee... So instead of 150$ it'll be 200$ and no warranty.
Anyone?

Thanks for the info. It looks like your screen is not using as much as people reporting it uses 60-70% of battery, if I'm reading it correctly, while yours is using only 16%. I'm gonna call the phone shop in a bit (waiting for them to have their morning coffee lol) and see if they still have the phone. Then I just hope mine doesn't drain too.
@ChrisBunny I forgot to say about Core clock. Your shop has wrong information about CPU frequency. Prime version has 2.2GHz (exactly 2.1x GHz) and non-prime version has clock 2GHz (exactly 1.95GHz)

Yeah that's what I figured. I found a couple ads for the phone, so I might still get it, it just won't have any warranty.
So your Xiaomi RN 2 screen uses only about 15% of the battery? That's really good if I understood correctly. How long does your battery last when you leave it alone and when you use it a lot?
@ChrisBunny
I'm fully charged now, later will post screenshot when i will get 5 or 10% on battery.

I'm happy with the phone. Speciffication for that cheap price is great. It has everything what i needed except Qualcomm processor (with Mediatek it's hard with sources so the phone can't get custom kernels, you know) Games works good. I have played pokemon for a short time- no problem with playing but nothing speciall for me so I uninstalled it.
GTA San Andreas - no fps drop
Shadow warrior - no fps drop
League of stickman - no fps drop
Gangstar Vegas - no fps drop
Dungeon hunter 5 - on some maps fps dropped but i think it's weak optimalization
Sim city - no fps drop
The sims free play - no fps drop
Thats the most (i think) advanced games i have played on my device. Don't remember more xD

No, 12% battery loss in 12 hours - mostly idle time, but with some slight use (email, text, etc). Wireless and Bluetooth left on (the battery was on about 63% when the phone was switched on).
BTW: I am running a "Skinnified" MIUI 7.5.10 ROM.

Ah that's even better! Whats your guess whats the reason a lot of people experience those crazy screen battery drains? I hope the reason is just some fluke with the rom, and not with hardware.

I think it would most likely be a software (ie, ROM) issue (ie, something is behaving badly in the background). Many of us spend a lot of energy trying to get better battery performance from the phone - but it is all really about how the software is configured. Without the sources to the kernel code, the best that can be done is tweaking bits here and there. This is what makes the Skinny ROM guidelines from @jajk very useful (to remove Xiaomi bloat and battery hogs). This requires some effort, patience, and nerves; but it can be quite rewarding. For me, I have been far more concerned with idle time than with "screen on" time, because my phone spends most of its time doing nothing.

MokeeOS compiled by vova.vafin. For me, his roms are better than for example Bulee. Device not overheat and have some power tweaks.

Now I'm just waiting on reply from the seller and he should send tuesday and it should arrive wednesday. Yeah it doesn't have removable battery, but from what I researched its an awesome phone and battery isn't an issue.

well...depends on your use. I will recommend it, the only thing I don't like is the battery in every other aspect works good. I don't root it yet, I plan to do it, to install apps for improve battery like L-Speed or Helix Engine

depends on your use I mean, do you have an agressive use of social networks, play games, etc...better a Xiaomi, if it's for regular use works good. The fast charger is a pro, with half an hour you have a decent amount of energy to continue until the night

again, it depends on the use. In general with my use I have 1 day and 15, 17 hours of battery average. And with SOT, 3 hours 30 minutes. Again, depends on the use. With agressive use the battery will drop a lot.

well if it's in that way maybe better a Xiaomi for the well balanced battery. I read that the Redmi Note 4 gets 6 hours of SOT. I know that other models of LeEco have 4.000 mah battery but I don't know how is the optimization
It doesn't has microsd card slot.So 32 gb storage can not be expanded.QSD 820 still rocks in most of the heavy games, despite of being 2 years old and way better than QSD 808 of op2's.Your choice.

yes one of the reasons I want to change is the processor and the screen
if battery is not a problem go for it... i usually get 4-5 of SOT (sometimes less it depends on your usage) and gaming like pubg literally kills the battery 25% per pubg match...
Heyyo, yes I would say it's worth it. I had a Nexus 6P which had the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 which isn't good for battery life and performance isn't too great either in 3D games. The LeEco Le Max 2 with Oreo custom ROMs works great in 3D games. :good:
I would also look for deals on devices with SnapDragon 835 as they have also come down in price (albeit nowhere near as low as the Le Max 2) as you never know, might find one worth the price difference.
So yeah, if you're into 3d games or want a device with a higher density screen? The Le Max 2 is worth the upgrade.
We do lack SDcard and NFC though, so if those are important to you? Unfortunately you'll have to look for a different device...
Also, the camera on the Le Max 2 is really darn good. Only downside is the OIS isn't super effective compared to other OIS devices and we only get 1080P 30fps (and 4K UHD 30fps). I'm guessing it was a budget cut on the Sony Exmor RS IMX230 we got in order to keep the prices low... But damn, this camera with Google Camera Mod? It is impressive what it can do!

Heyyo, for ROM updates? There is some from LeEco yes... But they're still Marshmallow and they don't really bother updating security level which has been on January 1, 2017 for quite a while...
For custom ROMs? Pretty much any Oreo ROM. They're all really darn good and almost all of them still get constant updates.
I'd recommend searching the ROM development thread and see which one has the most recent comments to your linking. :good:
I myself am the Le Max 2 maintainer for LineageOS 15.1 and tbh I haven't really tried any other Oreo ROMs so I can't comment on how their balance of performance, battery life and features are but yeah there's a lot to choose from and you can't really go wrong.

HDR works fine with any camera app. For Oreo ROMs though it is recommended to use Tolyan009 builds as they are stable for us.
Quick Charge 3.0 works fine for me yeah. Some users report charging issues if the battery goes above 40°c and that is something I will be looking into.
Battery idle consumption is pretty good... But screen on time isn't due to mainly the QHD screen and not massive battery to compensate. I tend to get about 5 hours SoT and I don't 3D game or such. Mainly web browsing, Telegram, XDA and VNC Remote PC control.
Like others have said, screen on time for the Le Max 2 isn't so good... But it can be improved with some sacrifices to performance. LineageOS tends to lean a slight bit more towards performance than a balance between performance and battery life.
For kernels? There is bs kernel and the GalaticStryder kernel (found in the LineageOS "Pro" thread) which both have threads in the ROM development forum section.
Resurrection Remix Power Saver is the ROM that comes to mind for battery life over performance. Afaik it doesn't have an active thread on XDA so they use a telegram channel for updates, downloads and discussion.

been using the phone for 3 days now
flashed lineage rom and got 3:50 hrs sot with normal usage
also got 156000 points on antutu which still impressive
charging takes 1 hour and 20 minutes to 100% using 5.2v 2A lenovo adapter
so overall yes it worth buying and would have been great if the company released nougat at least
I am a Mate10Pro user and i bought very cheap the LeEcoMax 2 from Ebay. I just want to test it but now it replaced my Mate10Pro completly. The device is now 2 years old but running very fast and i have flashed AEX Official v.5.7 based on 8.1 and it's a real good combination . I also flashed LOS on it and it's also a good rom in combination with the phone. I am using a Gcam mod and the pics are awesome, the portrait mode is working great. I have to admit that the battery life is not that good compared to the M10Pro and also some apps are not opening such fast but these are things i can live with. Cheers

Question Redmi Note 10 High battery drain even when not using

Hi y'all .
Recently I got a Redmi Note 10 4/64 variant . I'm currently using my old phone Redmi 6A , while Redmi Note 10 just lies in desktops corner.
MIUI 12.0.1 , 5000 MAh and 33W .
I installed one game to try the performance , then cleared all the apps and went to sleep . In the morning , I saw more than %25 battery drained for almost no reason .
•I don't even use the phone
•Bootloader is unlocked
•The phone doesn't have a SIM inside , so it can't get signals would cause battery drain
•The phone doesn't have any apps installed besides stock ones . I only installed one game and two or three local shop apps.
•I always make sure nothing runs in the background(the way I use the phone)
Here is the graph
Edit : I can feel device's little heat even when posting this.
The phone call you see is made by my mom . I did let her borrow my phone one time , except that the phone doesn't have a SIM inside as I mentioned
Same here, Android system draining too much battery

Hi guys ,
As I am using the same phone and same varient(4/64) I can suggest some tips to save your battery.(working for both 4/64 & 6/128).
This measures can be applied in Redmi Note 10/ Pro / Pro Max also.
•You should turn off your Wifi / Mobile data when not in use otherwise apps like analytics play store etc. can run in the background and drain your battery.
•Uninstall the pre-installed apps which can be removed from your phone like Mi credit, Mi store etc. If possible change your keyboard to google keyboard(g board).
•Don't Software update your phone it may consume more memory and also cause to drain your battery faster than before.
•Go to setting search for Authorisation & revocation
And disable the permissions of apps like msa, MiuiDaemon, System apps updater, Get Apps, Updater.
•Then disable the following :
Disable it ↑
• Then open a folder and click on its name and disable promoted apps option.
I think I have covered everything. If anybody wants to add something just reply. I hope you find it helpful, if so please subscribe my youtube channel:
The road to great battery life doesn't require extreme restriction. Here you can see the power consumption results for my phone. I should mention that Wifi and GPS are permanently on. Synchronisation is also permanently enabled for Email, Messenger and Smart Life.
It consumes about 3% of the battery in 8 hours of standby time.
I use the Pixel Experience Plus ROM.
It is important not to use any functions that permanently (even during standby) monitor any of the sensors. Such as preventing waking up in the pocket.
I have disabled all automatic updates.

I've been tuning battery saving on smartphones since Android 2.1
Current hardware doesn't suffer as much from sustained discharge as it used to. Today, it is no longer necessary to turn off Wifi and GPS. But now it is advisable to reduce the CPU power in standby mode, because the manufacturer leaves the power at an increased frequency in the base to improve the phone's response.

Question Just bought a GT 2 Pro CN version. I have questions for those who own the phone.

1. Does it have Google services on the Chinese version so we can use the Play Store?
2. What issues does the CN rom have when you're using it outside of China? Does it support 5G in your place?
3. How has the battery been with light usage (social media, YT, music, reading) and heavy usage (gaming for hours, high brightness most of the time)?
4. If you were to flash the Global rom version in the CN version, can you receive OTA's?
5. How great is the display? Do you feel the 1440p LTPO 2.0 difference? Is it readable under direct sunlight?
6. How good does the cameras, both rear and front, take photos?
7. Is the Steel Black version more durable than the Paper White?
8. Has anyone tried underclocking the CPU in exchange for more battery?
Thank you for those who will reply. I hope the future buyers or owners of this device will use this a guide when it does have answers.

1. Yes
2. Haven't experienced anything so far. Don't have 5G
3. Light usage has been at least 6hrs SOT but Accubattery says 10hrs SOT estimated. I'm running 120Hz and have underclocked my CPU and GPU with FKM. I don't game so I can't give any info about that.
4. Yes
5. It's works fine under sunlight. 120Hz is a must for me now that I've experienced it. LTPO2 preferred since it can drop the refresh rate to save battery
6. I don't take photos often but with GCam it works good enough for me
7. Most people use a case so I doubt this matters
8. Yes, see 3.

On 2, do you not have 5G because your country or sim doesn't support it, or is it because the phone doesn't let you have 5G?

I'm not on a 5G plan but I don't see why it wouldn't work since it has all the bands needed for 5G

Hi I just got the device and it's heating up real good. I just got it out the box and fiddled with the settings and it heat up badly. It's currently updating, but I wanted to ask how you underclocked your CPU and GPU? Is it rooted? If yes, how did you root it? If not, how did you do it?

I unlocked the bootloader following this guide:

I needed to update to the latest version before deep testing would work
I installed the global ROM with the Magisk patched boot image with this guide:
[Chinese Version] Install RMX3301 Global stock firmware from Chinese

Magisk will come preinstalled as "Alpha"
After that, I just installed Franco Kernel Manager and limited the maximum frequency of all the core clusters
I also installed the global rom which is a much better experience.
