Question Disable action center when swiping down in the center of the screen - OnePlus Nord 2 5G

Hello,
I just today bought this device and I already found one thing that drives me crazy.
Its the OnePlus action center which appear instead of notification center when I swipe down in the center of the screen. (Hope it makes sense)
Did anyone find a way how to disable it and instead have the notification center opened?
Thanks in advance.

[Q] How to completely lock notification bar?

Hello all;
I have been searching and searching, but so far have not found an answer to this. I have a Verizon LTE Galaxy Tab 10.1. The issue I have is that I have a 3 year old daughter that loves to play with it. The problem is so far I have found no way to completely lock the notification bar. I have found apps that lock the back and home buttons, but not the rest of the buttons, the notifications, and more importantly the settings menu.
Here are the exact details of my hardware.
Model: SCH-I905
Build: HTJ85B.EL01.SCH-I905.EL01
Kernel: 2.6.36.4-cyanogenmod+ [email protected] #1
Does anyone know of any solution for my situation?
Thanks in advance for any help!

I assume you mean you want to let her play without the worry of her pressing and opening other apps?
(LOL, 3 year old opening and reading your mails *sarcasm*)
But yes this can be possible. I however am confused, what would you like to disable? The hardware keys or the touch keys? Don't think disabling the hardware key's is a good idea, incase the tablet hangs up. But I guess it's all based on your reply.

All I am looking to disable is the soft keys across the bottom. Currently I am running the latest released Verizon build so it has the TouchWiz skin/interface installed. I am looking to disable all the soft keys across the bottom of the UI. Most important is the pop up menu you get when pressing the clock area in the bottom right of the screen.
Thanks again.
Try the app called Hide Bar - it will completely hide the bottom system bar (not just dim like when looking at photos) and only re-appears when you use a certain gesture...
hope that works for your needs!

I searched the market for "Hide Bar" and cound not find anything that matched that name, but I did find an app called "No System Bar" and it did the trick wonderfully.

Touchwiz home buttons - S3 specific?

Hey guys
I want to put a shortcut in the four home button slots and so I've deleted the "internet" icon from there but now I have no idea how to get Dolphin shortcut to it. I've tried some answers through google for other phones but none that I have found seem to work, any ideas please?
First drag shortcut to desktop and then to the bottom bar.

Oh! Just worked, thank you! My screen didn't have any spare desktop (didn't know this was needed). Sorry for being so stupid
Has anyone noticed that this no longer works after recent OTA updates.
For some reason Samsung has locked the bottom bar and you can't change it any more. Well done Sammy!!
Does anyone know of any back doors or utilities that can be used to get around this issue?

Swipe down for notification bar

Hello there,
I had a quick question about the swiping down gesture.
Every android phone I've had let me swipe down from pretty much anywhere on the screen to open the notification bar.
The Oppo Reno 10x however requires me to swipe from the very top edge of the screen, and even then it seems to dislike it when I try from the center of the top of the screen.
Is there a way to disable the swipe down opening this app list search menu? I find it very unintuitive.

Use lawnchair.
Well yes, using a different launcher is a possibility I had considered, but is there literally no option to do so on the standard ColorOS one?
Good question, really want that feature on Oppo launcher, but I doubt there will be a possibility unless Oppo will implement it via software.

You can use gesture apps to do so...that is the only option I can think of.

And would you happen to know of a good one that replaces swiping down entirely?
The ones I seem to have found only work on the edges and replace all gestures in their respective zones. Which would be an okay workaround (if I select only say, right edge swipe down = notifications) but a bit convoluted and unwieldy as well.
Oh i feel you! I don't want to part with the stock launcher for the slick animations. My workaround at the moment is the app notification draw on the home screen. It isn't the best solution but all there is atm I guess.
The workaround is to use the Assistive Ball. You can tap it to drop down the notification shade.
I'd much prefer that Oppo had taken a leaf from Huawei and LG's book and added the option for a fourth soft key to drop down notifications from any screen as it's too tall to reach comfortably.
But the Assistive Ball will solve for both notification drop down and screen off without reaching for the power button (in addition to one-tap lockscreen). Inelegant yet a solution all the same.
good workaround

Assistive ball is good workaround.
I got sick of Assistive Ball constantly needing to be moved around and ditched the stock launcher.
OPPO should fix this, a phone as tall as the Reno 10x needs a better way to get to the notification shade.
Surprise find - the "One-Tap Lockscreen" shortcut is actually an app, so you can map gestures like double tap in third party launchers to it in order to lock the screen without resorting to janky workarounds like accessibility options or screen timeouts.

Question How to disable always on Charging and home screen when tapping on center of the screen after app switching?

Very frustrating to note that I can't disable charging animation and tapping around the center of a switched app only to see us going to home screen?
Why has Vivo designed gestures so frustratingly and didn't give us option to disable charging animation to avoid centre of the display being used unnecessarily?
Very difficult to multitask when tapping on a switched app to copy and paste content makes the apps disappear
Yes, the charging animation cannot be disabled. But I didn't understand about the centre screen. I never went to home screen when I tap on the centre of the screen. Maybe there is a problem with your phone.

I think the center touch issue was because I may have enabled Easy touch from Accessibility options. Now this Accessibility button on Funtouch 12 is quite annoying and can't be disabled in addition to many other bugs I am witnessing since upgrading last night

unfortunately it is not possible to remove the pill by making Asus native gestures work. What is possible is to remove the pill (using the entire screen) and use gestures from third-party applications. For me it is the best option. root is required

On March 31, Asus released an update (WW-33.0804.2060.113) that allows you to hide the navigation bar. There's a new learning curve when navigating with gestures without the navigation bar, and after a month like that, I don't miss the navigation bar.

I would love to gen on some brainstorming for a fix, it feels absolutely terrible.
