Click 7 times build number in settings> about phone. Then click on two times back button. Select developer options.
Click into it and find 'DSU loader' or 'Dynamic system updates'.
If you can't find it find 'feature flags ' and set what with the word 'dynamic' in it as on.

Oh I see, your oem unlock is greyed out, did you unlock your bootloader?

Yes i unlocked the bootloader, when i power on the phone it turns out that this phone has the bootloader unlocked

Sorry but you need to have TWRP recovery software to flash one as you do not have dynamic system updates.
You will need to wait.

But i can install twrp but the system.img doesn't work

*This is likely to brick your device. Make sure that you can reflash stock ROM (www.samfw.com) and make sure to backup. Only install if you really have to. I was not responsible as you have been warned!
Well last resort:
Install 7zip.
Download
Rename your GSI as system.img. This is a must.
Open 7zip. If you can't just find C:\program files/7zip/7zFM.exe. and click on it and 7zip will open.
Navigate to your GSI (system.img).
Click on the system.img and select files, then 7zip, then add to archive.
A window will pop up. Select .TAR as the compression format and click compress.
After that,
Just flash your .tar via Odin.

[Q] How to extract boot.img from my device?

Is it specific for each device? Or does it depend only on finding the correct partition/block to be extracted?
Could you point me to further readings about that?
Thanks.
It is at least device specific, for extracting the bootimage, check this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1951426

What if everything is an illusion, and nothing exists?

Well, that link is to proceed AFTER you have boot.img at hand. I want to find a way to extract it from my phone (assuming default.prop can be changed in there).
Thanks.
When you make a back up with CWM, you have a copy of your bootimage in the clockworkmod map, not?
That's the thing ... I am trying to figure out how to get that backup in hand at first.
Currently, following the method in http://droidcore.blogspot.com.br/2012/12/how-to-edit-initrc-in-android.html
It seems to use the same scripts as cited in your link.
Will post results afterwards.
Don't make things more complicated as they are. If you just install CMW recovery (or TWRP for that matter) for your device, you have your full backup in minutes, including one of your bootimage, then use the script from my first post.
I managed to find boot.img, made the necessary changes, sent it back to device (used MPK Rom Studio and SP Flash Tool).
The problem is, the reason I want to change boot.img is to root my device. I thought that disabling ro.secure, I would be able to do so. But I couldn't.
I believe cmw recovery, or twrp, both need my phone to be rooted, no?

I have the same problem, I need the boot image of my device to root it using magisk manager, but I can't find it.
Help!!!!!
Hey simply extract the boot.img from the stock firmware if your device is not rooted......
I think this only possible when you have root..
It is also not possible with adb without root...so
If your device is rooted with magisk then untouched boot.img is placed in /data folder as stock.xxxx.gz format and simply extract it....
If your device is rooted with one click root apps then download kernel auditor app and select backup option and the boot.img will be available in android/data/ kernel auditor specific folder....
Hope this help
Edit:- If your device is Mediatek, using SP Flash Tool you can readback. If you have Snapdragon, then bkerler's edl tool can readback. (No need of root)

just google "Latest Software Version for OPPO OPPO AX7" and go to the Software Updates page on oppo-uk.custhelp.com. Download 2.4GB ozip file (like CPH1903EX_11_OTA_0210_all_oStq7F7jxqfF.ozip) and unpackit with 7zip program. You'll find boot.img inside .ozip file.
I do not have root, there is no recovery or rom for my phone, Can I extract the boot.img from my phone storage, to patch it with Magisk?

scatter file is the one included in every stock rom that is flashable to sp flash tools, when you load the scatter file, it loads a list of partitions and it allows you to flash files onto those partition, in thus case you needed the partition table to flash the recovery, so you need to load the scatter file that is found on any stock rom made for flash tools

Question Info about root/ota/debloat

Hi all and sorry for my bad english in first!!
i live in italy and i've buyed(but still not recieved) one oneplus 9r from china whit oxygenos rom on board..
When it comes i want to root & debloat it, but i've some queustion cause in last year i've used only device with custom rom!.
first of all i wan't to root the phone, but preserve the possibility to update the OS with ota. if i understand right it's possible with magisk, can please someone tell me the correct step to make?
after root i vant to uninstall not necessary app for my utilization (facebook/instagram/netflix, red cable and oneplus account, google app, gdrive, google photo and most of BigG apps cause i'm using only gmail/yt/maps/ an store!).
the question is.... if i uninstall this app it will be re installed in future ota?
Thanks in advice!
Step1 : unlock bootloader, this will wipe the storage, then setup the device once again then enable usb debugging in developer options.
You can use this
Tool to make (tool all in one) your life easier : https://sourceforge.net/projects/tool-all-in-one/files/TOOL_ALL_IN_ONE_1.0.6.1.zip/download
you should select 8t as 9r is not supported officially
at the moment.
Step2: update the phone to latest version , right now it's 11.2.5.5
Step 3: download the same version of the oxygen is ota wether from xda, OnePlus official site , oxygen updater ( make sure it is full version).
Step4: on pc now extract only the payload.bin file in the input of the payload extracter ,
Now use the payload extracter ,
Run .exe and get boot.img .
payload_dumper_tool_by_ius.zip
drive.google.com
(MAKE SURE THE PHONE OS VERSION AND BOOT IMG VERSION IS SAME)
Step 5: install magisk manager on phone, now patch the boot.img that you extracted earlier. Copy this patched boot.img in platforms tool folder(I hope that u have installed the platform tools and adb & fastboot ).
Step 6: open terminal there in platform tools , use the tool all in one to boot your phone in fast boot mode, then flash patched boot.img using.
Fastboot devices
Fastboot flash boot_a patched.img
Fastboot flash boot_b patched.img
Bingo got rooted.
Step 7( optional) : now properly restart the phone by opening magisk , then install universal safety net fix, debloat modules in magisk.
You can use lucky patcher to debloat unnecessary things (which don't exist as it is oxygen os)
Now in future if your phone gets ota make sure you disable all magisk modules then download the full version of ota from oxygen updater & update it locally & do not restart.
go to magisk ,
flash magisk to inactive slot.
restart now,
REnable the modules. (Tip don't enable the lucky patcher module this will put you in bootloop)
enjoy the ota .
@Rajveer chauhan
Do you have instructions to install TWRP?
I even tried to read the thread on the 8t forum, but I didn't understand it very well.
So, 1st of all make sure u are on oos , then simply boot in to bootloader then flash this ofox img file , using the command
fastboot flash recovery name.img then boot into recovery it will ask u your screen lock, then flash this ofox zip file .
this or any recovery are in beta phase , everything works but not 100/100 times.
unzip this and flash the img cuz the img could not be uploaded
this will only work on oos not on any custom rom, uwill not require to format data
& trust me i am not a hacker

Hello sr
Have you updated your 9r for A12 ? If yes, how did you do it? Would it be possible to go from A11 (11.2.8.8) to A12 (C.33)?

Working TWRP (OP 7T Pro ME 5G)

The TWRP for the HD1910 works perfectly on the HD1925. Decryption works too. Install TWRP by using the installer.
Exact the img from the installer zip.
Boot to fastboot
Open a CMD within the extracted TWRP installer folder and type in
"fastboot boot recovery.img"
Once TWRP boots, then install the TWRP installer zip file.
I flashed magisk and it flashed with no issues. I used the latest version here.
Download TWRP for hotdog
Download TWRP Open Recovery for hotdog
dl.twrp.me
NOTE: I did it on the latest version, 11.0.1.18 So I'm not sure if it works on any older versions but I would assume so.
Yep, been out a while now. Works perfectly! However I highly highly recommend not using the twrp installer zip on our phones nor installing it by doing "fastboot flash recovery name_of_twrp.img"
Just download the latest .img and do "fastboot boot name_of_twrp.img" whenever you need to go into twrp recovery. Or you're just asking for trouble with OTA updates definitely no longer working (until you restore the stock recovery that matches the exact version of OOS that you are running) and a good possibility of getting a Qualcomm Crash-dump and losing or breaking all kinds of stuff.

Or you're just asking for trouble with OTA updates definitely no longer working (until you restore the stock recovery that matches the exact version of OOS that you are running) and a good possibility of getting a Qualcomm Crash-dump and losing or breaking all kinds of stuff.

I already know about all that. I've had this phone over a year, so I'm familiar with the hidden "secrets".

BTW, with unlocked bootloader OTA's are not available no matter what type of recovery you have installed. Unless you have reinstalled the reserve.img after unlocking the bootloader

Exact (Unzip) the zip folder. Within the extracted folder you'll see some other files. One of them is a recovery.img file. Open a command or PowerShell in the extracted folder. Reboot to fastboot.
Boot to fastboot and run this command
"fastboot boot recovery.img"
Once it boots into TWRP, then click on "install" and locate the TWRP installer zip and select it. It'll most likely be in the download folder. Just make sure you know where the TWRP installer zip is located before you even boot into TWRP

Not at all. The installer will take care of all that once you boot into TWRP

@BobbyLynn Should I take a backup? Would it wipe my storage? or it would be as it is?

No it won't wipe data or anything else. But it's always good to have a backup just in case anything goes sour.

Select up a level then scroll down until you see a file called "storage" that'll take you to your storage. If it doesn't, the go back and click on "sdcard" But I'm almost certain it's in the storage folder
AntiSocialSingh said:
I think i need to flash it once via TWRP, i'll try it later, but thank you, it means that this TWRP works!

I just checked..... The "sdcard" folder is the one that takes you to the internal storage where the download folder is located. But as soon as you hit 'install" it should've taken you straight to the internal storage. If it didn't, then it sounds like it's still encrypted. If that's the case, then remove any screen locks on your phone before flashing TWRP
AntiSocialSingh said:
@BobbyLynn Let me try once again with the screen lock removed.

When I installed TWRP I didn't have a screen lock. But after installing TWRP I set a screen lock and TWRP decrypted just fine. So I'm guessing if you install TWRP while you have a screen lock it doesn't install properly so it can't decrypt. It appears that any screen locks must be removed before installing and after installing reapply a screen lock
AntiSocialSingh said:
@BobbyLynn It worked! So basically, I had to remove both fingerprint and pattern locks to get it to work. Thanks a ton!!

I'm kinda curious, why did you install TWRP? Are you fixing to "test drive" some custom ROM's or flash some mods? Or did you install TWRP just for the hell of it?
AntiSocialSingh said:
@BobbyLynn The latter yes, test driving some mods, and I am used to the interface of TWRP, not crDroid much, personal preference hahahaha....Thank you so much once again. you're a legend.

I'm more use to TWRP myself. I started using TWRP about 10 years ago, it was and still is the best recovery out there. I just happened to install crDroid the other day just to test something. And that test turned out to be a great discovery of a simple way to root the stock firmware. Since I have a extra McLaren, I do quite a bit of testing and modding and experimental stuff. I'm currently working on installing the global firmware (unbranding) it. No luck yet, but I might be getting close.
AntiSocialSingh said:
@BobbyLynn I will be the first one to follow your tutorial if you manage to flash the Global ROM on it sir. I promise haha!

You can bet your ass that if I pull off that trick it'll get LOT'S of comments from people thanking me lol. We've been wanting to install the global firmware on this phone, but nobody can figure out how to mod the ROM to make it flash on this phone. There's some very smart developers that own this phone, so I'm surprised that none of them have figured it out yet. So I've been tinkering around with trying to install it. It's looking like I'm going to have to make some modifications to the global ROM and/or the phone too to make the MSM tool see the phone as a comparable device

Well, yeah, restoring reserve.img is a prerequisite to get OTAs with the bootloader unlocked, but it only has to be done once. After that, for each ota, just restore the boot image to stock (uninstall magisk) and you're good to go

Ok, first you have to unlock the bootloader:
Step 1: Download this file and unzip it. https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=7161016148664849473
Once you have unzipped it, go to the mediatekbootloaderunlock folder and go to the drivers folder, right click on the file "cdc-acm.inf" and then click on install
https://www.technobuzz.net/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Install-MTK-driver.jpg
Once this is done, go back and install usbdk (x64 for 64 bit OS, x86 for 32 bit OS) on your PC).
https://www.technobuzz.net/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Instal-USB-drivers-1024x450.jpg
Once this is done, restart your computer (important)
Turn off your redmi 10
In the mediatekbootloaderunlock folder open the "UnlockBootloader.bat" file
Once the file is open, press the volume + and volume - at the same time and once this is done, connect the cable to your PC.
Wait until the window closes.
Your bootloader is now unlocked.
Now that the bootloader of the phone has been unlocked, we will flash the new phone rom.
Step 2: Download the phone rom from this site: https://miuirom.org/phones/redmi-10
(I advise you the Indonesian region)
Once the rom has been downloaded, the rom file ends in .tgz, unzip the rom with WinRAR or any other unzipping tool.
WinRAR
WinRAR - the data compression, encryption and archiving tool for Windows that opens RAR and ZIP files. Compatible with many other file formats.
www.win-rar.com
Once the rom has been decompressed, download Mi Flash tool on this link:
MiFlash20200314
MediaFire is a simple to use free service that lets you put all your photos, documents, music, and video in a single place so you can access them anywhere and share them everywhere.
www.mediafire.com
Unzip the zip file and open the file miflashtool.exe
Once opened, put your phone in fastboot mode (power + volume -)
Connect the phone with a cable to the PC
Click on refresh, the phone should appear.
Then click on select and select the unzipped rom you made earlier.
At the bottom of mi flash tool, click on clean all and lock, this will delete all data and close the bootloader.
Once this is done, click on flash and wait for it to finish.
If you get an error like: checkpoint is not done fastboot lock or something like that, don't worry, it means it worked.
You now have miui 13, enjoy.
