I tried upgrading after flashing the 07 stock boot, but it still gives me the "Installation Failed"

I got an issue with it : I can't install it. From settings update app doesn't find the file (renamed in "update.zip" on internal and external sdcards roots). I also tried from ZTE recovery but it tells me that I can't update my device ...

I can not judge from here but if you're still full stock (recovery, kernel, rom) you are supposed to update.
I went back to B08 and logcatted the update and pulled out the ZTE link

You always can try to update through recovery or adb sideload it.
Btw, did you manage to update before ?
PS : rename to update.up and give it this a try too

I already tried to update from recovery.
I updated from B05 (or B06) to B08 before. Not sure I had my bootloader unlocked then.
"update.up" doesn't solve my issue from settings>updates. Will try later from recovery.

You can flash whole directory w/o packing from ost.

You must have a unlock.bin to flash it for unlock the bootloader complete.Then you can flash any firmware to Nokia 7！！The unlock.bin you can send a private messenger to “the _laser”who can find at the Nokia6 forum.You mist give you code,imei1,imei2,meid,then he will send you a unlock.bin which can only unlock your phone.And have it to unlock the bootloader,you can flash your phone freely!!

I have exactly the same problem about apps closing on the background and not showing notifications, until I open the apps (whtasapp, facebook, snapchat, etc).
The only to solve this problem, will be if someone build a new global rom on stock android for the NOKIA 7 TA-1041.

Bump, looking for stock recoveries for the US variant as well. I'm currently running TWRP and rooted with Magisk, but I'm afraid that I won't be able to install OTAs with TWRP.
I've got a us variant and haven't done anything with it. How do you extract the stock recovery? Using ADB? I've never rooted or unlocked a Huawei but have other devices so I have an idea how it works. If you tell me how, I'll try and upload it for you.
I don't know either lol. I've tried using 'Huawei Update Extractor' to extract the recovery from firmwares of other regions but it keeps on giving me error in reading the file.

I actually managed to get a stock recovery that worked. I was on the February security patch and the OTA for March came out and obviously TWRP didn't flash it. In that same TWRP thread there's a stock recovery_ramdisk (page 6) for a different region device that flashed and worked perfectly for my device. I took the OTA then reflashed TWRP and Flashed Magisk. Looks like that's the process I have to do every time there's an OTA

HOW TO INSTALL STOCK ROM IN MOTO X4:
Download Moto X4 Retail Android Pie Firmware:

Install Motorola Driver and ADB Fastboot on your PC.

Turn off your device and boot into bootloader by pressing volume down button + power button.
Connect your device to your PC via a USB Cable.

There is also a retail build. Is lte band 20 supported by br-release? I installed xt1900-6 brasil on my xt1900-7 and i didn't find a why to list the supported lte bands. Now i think about installing retail rom.

I put the Retail link on the OP, I think you can flash only modem.

Flashed over 8.1 without any trouble...pie is working without any problems so far. Will OTA update work? I suppose, yes ..but not sure.

I'm not familiar with the Amazon variant but I'm pretty sure I read where bootloader can't be unlocked?
This can be flashed without the device being unlocked using the locked.bat file (I think).
Can someone else confirm this?

If it doesn't work you have to merge the three super files corresponding to the EUEX region in one using simg2img, and then you can try fastboot flash super super.img or use lpunpack to extract all the files inside and flash them individually, following the correct order.
