Question Bad battery - Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G

Been using the phone for like 11-12 days and the battery drain is just insanely high, i cant hit more than 4:30 hours SoT ...
Android System is taking up to 30% in battery. I Debloated the device but no luck, using the latest 12.5.5 MIUI version, dont know what else to do...

Mine also, I'm thinking of downgrading to 12.0.2.0 from April. Gsmarena guys got 8h of sot with that version.

So yeah, its 100% MIUI's fault, do you think an update in near future will fix this maybe?

What to do then?

Sell phone, change it for some soc that's more frequent in phones l, for better overall support.
Or unlock bl and perform downgrade to 1st rom.

If you move to any custom rom you'll at least have to Wipe Data if even not Format data and you'll loose all your apps so I can't understand what's the hassle not to Factory reset miui.

Cause when i am moving to the custom rom and i at least know it that the time i wasted will be worth, with MIUI i can never know, been using xiaomi devices since 2016 and its interesenting how it's always something new to disappoint me with this " system ".

Yes, correct. When I bought mine it was on 12.0.2.0, immediatelly it found an OTA update and I did the upgrade to 12.5.5.0. Then I did a factory reset and made all the installations. Now I'm dissapointed with the battery and I read GSM arena review from April with rom 12.0.2.0 with more than 7h sot. That's why I'd rather go back to taht version, but you have to be rooted for downgrade

It doesn't require root but you'll need to unlock bootloader. Also if ARB is present you'll get error in MiFlash. Don't attempt to do it with twrp before MiFlash as if Arb is active you'll likely brick your phone.

Is it possible to just downgrade via Updater in settings? Download the ROM, and just locate package?

Redmi Note 4 SD India Version Bricked after updating to MIUI9

Hi All,
So after searching all the threads and forums I have created this thread to address this issue and to get possible solutions.
I have a Redmi Note 4 - Snapdragon/Qualcomm variant 4GB/64GB version.
Bootloader Status: Unlocked.
OS Version: MIUI 8, 7.4.20 Developer Version.
So sometime back I tried to upgrade to the latest Version of MIUI9 7.9.15. When the system got updated and rebooted my phone got softbricked. SS below. I was on one of the Custom ROMs AEX and tried updating the firmware of MIUI9 and faced the same issue. However am able to come out of the brick using MiFlash tool am still not sure what's causing the issue.
NOTE: Even after reverting back I see the weird lines on screen unless I flash the previous firmware version again.
Would appreciate your thoughts and inputs. Thanks!

Have you tried a full wipe and fresh install of the developer ROM, if that's the one you want?

Did a full wipe and flashed Dev ROM latest build through MiFlash also the latest stable build causes the same issue. Not able to see anything the display gets messed up showing only some scramble red and black vertical lines.
Not able to attach the screens. Will do attach them as soon as am able to.

Yeah that too. Gosh! wish XDA allowed me to attach some SS.
Everything goes Haywire, I would have to flash the old Dev build through MiFlasher again and flash the TWRP .IMG file through fastboot. It such a pain good thing I have my bootloader unlocked else would be lost.

Pretty sure firmware is closely associated to Bootloader, Boot and Recovery much more than the ROM itself. Then the Signal reception, radio and stuff. But I may be wrong.

The OTA system is completely broken. EU phones have had 9 Nougat updates already. just get to marshmallow B11, then update to Nougat B09
A quick question from being new to the Axon 7, will this relock my bootloader, and or will I lose my ability to root? I'm on B32, but downgraded bootloader with toolkit, and am rooted with SuperSU. I am loving my Axon 7, having had it 1 month. Previous phone was a POS Sony xperia z4, and the Axon blows it away.

No, and never lock it. You'll end up with a brick if you ever lock the bootloader without getting the phone completely functional and 100% stock (recovery, system)
Thankyou, I never intend to or want it locked. So I assume all I'll have to do after the update is re-flash superSU?:good:

Again. The OTA system is completely broken.
Just take an official zip from the Download Center. It's there for a reason you know
Other than the security patches, seems like a very light update. Does anyone have it yet? Are the improvements mostly under the hood or is there anything actually noticable?
I'm mostly looking forward to Oreo and hopefully fixing the metadata Bluetooth problem.
Nothing noticeable. Updated security patch to December.
As someone that uses auto night light. It is broken now. It is no longer automatic at least with boot password. Have not tried without yet.

Battery Drain . 4 hr SOT for 100% charge !!!

I purchased my phone (Redmi note 7pro) only a month ago.I was on 10.3.7.0 global stable rom and phone was running smoothly. Few days back I tried to flash TWRP but I failed. My phone was bricked and I flashed fastboot rom(10.3.7.0) and phone bootup. After that I was not getting that fluidity and performance of my phone like before. Then I noticed more battery draining than usual.i thought it will be fixed in the next update. After that I received an update but it didn't fixed the issue. Still lagging in games(PUBG) , Late response in small games like Clash Royal, and a huge battery drain. And day be day it is getting worst. I can get 3-4 hrs SOT for a 100% charge.
I'm currently on latest version of MIUI.
What might be the possible reasons for the battery drain and poor performance?
What might be the possible solution?
Please help.

Wow that's a pretty much bad SOT..
If u want TWRP use Peter's (https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-7-pro/development/unofficial-twrp-3-3-1-proper-t3933531)
Now,
Did you unlock the bootloader? If u didn't ,u can't make any system level changes to the device (in this case TWRP)
Now unlock the bootloader and download MiFlash tool.
Download the required Fastboot ROM.
Click the clear_all and flash option.
This should make your device good as new.
(Unlocking the bootloader for the first time will require to wait for 15 days or so, you would also lose your data)
Yes. I unlocked the device successfully. I don't want to flash TWRP. But I just want my phone perform like before. For your information, after OTA to 10.3.10 , I did factory reset my phone. But no change. Do you think flashing the same rom can fix the problem?
I also lost my charger for around 20 days and using 5v _~ 2000mA charger.
In one of the online reviews I heard that this phone has less battery performance when dual SIM are used.

This is a battery issue in the 10.3.10 update, only way to fix this is by clearing the system, boot, data partitions and then flashing 10.3.7.0 or some other ROM
And to do this u need TWRP (Peter's)
Performing a factory reset won't help as it just sets everything back to default on 10.3.10..
They even pulled back this update and have now started rolling it back again...

[MIUI] 11.0.6.0 QFAEUXM November 2019 Patch rolling out

I just got an update to the November security patch for my Mi 9. Nothing much has changed visually from the previous version just a security patch
I think it rolled out pretty quick tbh.
Country: UK
I just got it in France, maybe there are a few bugs fixed, a security update is normally around 240 Mb as I know
got the notification last night, but now it's gone )
Installed manually.
Everything looks OK for now and I personally ddin't see any kind of change except android patch but again we will see during time, maybe is something which one can see so quickly.
EDIT
Now here is what I have noticed so far.
- Clicking on Settings->Security status->Google Play system update I got offer to update Security patch level to 1 October 2019.
- Under display fingerprint sensor works really, really quick, i would say instantly.
- Anti-flicker mode now works without any issue (turning on this option I would get rhythmic backlight change, pattern was about two times in one second from high to low).
- Entering *#*#4636#*#* in dialer and after that Phone information1 or Phone information2 there is new option present "Enable DSDS" and it's activated at me (I have two SIM's).

Any problems with 11.0.3?
I worry about bootloop since my other xiaomi got bootloop after installing latest update. Never worried about this before, so I got to be more careful

Lost Widevine L1 Certification After flashing EU ROM

Hey guys,
So i was messing around with ROMS,
Like EVOx, EU roms and suddenly after flashing latest EU rom i lost L1 cert,
I tried flashing stock rom, PE, Evo, etc still no luck,
It seems i cant get my L1 cert again.
If you have any idea how to get it back please share.
I would really appreciate it.
Watching Netflix in 480p sucks.
from what I know L1 cert is unique for every phone. You must use the one who came with your phone. its in persist.img that I hope you backed up before flashing EU rom. If you don't, you'll have to get used to 480p. Sometimes some developer publish a fix for very specific devices, not our case tho.
Is there an app or something to check what L-status my mobile has?

Thanks for the link!
Have tested it, my mobile is on L1.
On my mobile there is the XIAOMI EU ROM.
So it seems it's not ROM related...? ?

How have you flashed the EU ROM?
With TWRP? Fastboot? Or with the inbuilt Updater?

TWRP, but the issue is that i cant even get L1 on Stock ROM now. :/
Well okay, have read a bit through the net.
Seems like the only way would be if you have a backup of the Persist Partition of exactly YOUR device.
Seems like you have overwritten this partition while flashing.
This information would have been good to know in ROM install guides before flashing >.>

I have seen other devices able to get back L1.
Does getting the device to mi service center will help?
I guess best way to get a 100% answer is to write a mail to the service center.
Or perhaps you could ask the people who were able to "repair" their phones and got L1 back ?

I am 100% sure service center people in my city will discard the request as i am pretty sure they don't care enough about it.
I wonder how i can contact someone who will be able to help me out.

Thanks for the info but i saw some posts and they all seems to point to mifash tool,
Which i already used to flash stock rom but no luck.
Should i try clean+lock?
I had read that if you loose L1 you can't fix it it unique for every phone. You should have done a backup in your persist partition before flashing and testing.
L1 is like the IMEI?

Actually even when not flashing, i myself lost l1 while locked bootloader. It happens after updating my phone to 11.0.8.0.
Many of my fellow countryment experienced also this. The weird thing is that there are some who does not experience this problem. There are others where widevine L1 is preserve on stock rom OTA update and there are some like me who lost it. This has been acknowledged by devs and Xiaomi mods. And still waiting for a fix. So for me i think it is not eu rom related

I lost it when I tried to update from 0.7 to 0.8 EU
Can you suggest a way to get it back sir?
That's really confusing.
I first updated my EEA Version with the inbuilt Updater to 11.0.3 and L1 was still present, and then after nearly 14 days I unlocked my bootloader and flashed the XIAOMI EU Custom ROM, version 11.0.9 and still got L1.
Is your mobile on Global ROM (with MI in the title) or on EEA (with EU in the title)?
It's strange cause I'm sure there are maaany users out there who have updated their device at least once, and the problem of the change from L1 to L3 seems not to be wide spreaded one, when reading through the different boards.
Most people are complaining about the wifi bug mainly... ?

What means when you TRIED to update?
Was your update successfull or any problems with it?
Well, some ideas of ways to get L1 back we're already given here, but seems like there is no "easy way" to do so...
