Root Oneplus Nord - os 11.1.5.5.ac01ba - magisk - OnePlus Nord Guides, News, & Discussion

Hi,
I'm new to this, last time I managed because there was a img to use on magisk, and hence it worked. This time there is not, and to avoid bricking because I used a wrong img I ask before I start
I have done everything incl unlocking the bootloader on this
How to Root OnePlus Nord with Magisk (Android 11)
In this guide, I will be showing how to Root OnePlus Nord with Magisk. Since OnePlus Nord is recently launched there are no TWRP or flashable Magisk zip
magiskapp.com
Question is:
can I simply download the stock image from i.e. oneplus -> use magisk to patch it -> install and be done?
It's the section of
"
Stock Boot Image for OnePlus Nord – Download (Download the Stock Boot Image according to your region.)"
that confuses me since it doesn't list the newest, but magisk is updated and per comments, it seems it should work or am I wrong?

Use this Link to download the newest ROM Zip and extract stock boot.img using payload dumper(windows, linux). Transfer boot.img to your phone. Patch the boot.img with magisk app and rest of the instructions are same

have you got any solution i need to root having 11.1.6.6.AC01DA

The easiest way would be downloading the latest version using
Oxygen Updater copy it to your PC and use Payload Dumper to extract the Boot.IMG
Here's a guide that may help you. for payload dumper

Hi,
can someone tell me whether rooting Version 11.1.5.5 AC01BA is successful or not?
Thanks.

Root without custom recovery?

Hello,
i'm trying to root a Sharp B10 (SH-A01) with Magisk.
It would be nice if i could do this without unlocking because i want to keep the stock rom anyway.
First problem is that i can't find a custom recovery (TWRP, CWM) for this device from where i could install Magisk.
Then i found out that Magisk gives the possibility to root a device through the Magisk Manager App by patching the boot.img.
But the second problem is that i can't find the boot.img either. I spotted the boot partition on the device and tried to pull with adb but i would need an already rooted device to give the needed permissions.
Is there anything else I could do to get this thing rooted besides compiling my own TWRP for the device?
thanks a lot,
paul

Neither Magisk nor TWRP is needed to root Android: Chainfire's SuperSu does the job. You flash its ZIP via stock recovery "adb sideload"

Hi,
thanks for your answer.
I already managed to root this device. I got the boot.img with Wwr_MTK & SP flash tool (windows tools...), patched it with the magisk app and than flashed the patched boot.img
1. Unlock your bootloader enter in download mode Vol+ + Vol- + USB conected to pc (Keep in mind that by doing this you will lose your files, it is advisable to make a backup of your photos, music, etc.)
2. Once you start your cell phone install magisk manager, Choosing the boot.img file of your rom into the app (Tip: Only!!! If your model is SM-A015M Android 11 I leave you my own modified boot.img to flash:
File on MEGA
mega.nz
Otherwise, you can download the firmware (3.79 gb) and extract the boot.img from the firmware of your model SM-A015 M / F ... Android 10, Android 11... etc. And No need for pc
https://samfrew.com/model/SM-A015M/
3. The image will begin to flash
4. When it restarts you will have Root on the cell phone!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Extra: If you need the custom recovery I give you the link with my TWRP which is installed through the Odin program on a PC (this step does not delete your files)
File on MEGA
mega.nz
Keep in mind that to install TWRP you must deactivate the DM-VERITY & FORCEENCRYPT DISABLER I leave it in a link:
Zackptg5 - Android
zackptg5.com
This is a module that can be installed via magisk, which is necessary to decrypt the system ... so once TWRP is installed, it is advisable to uninstall it via Magisk to avoid R / W errors

Root oneplus 7t Pro

I wanted to update my one plus 7t pro but I don't know why even if I used the incremental update I don't have anymore the root. Now I have the following build: Oxygen OS 10.0.8.HD01BA (Europe).
The problem is that I didn't find any patched bootable .img for the version 10.0.8HD01BA.
Is it possible to root my phone with version 10.0.8 or I need to go back to version 10.0.7, root it and then again made the incremental update?.
Thank you in advance.

You don't need to revert 10.0.7 to root, you can use this guide to root 10.0.8 -> https://forum.xda-developers.com/7t-pro/how-to/10-0-3-patched-boot-image-oneplus-7t-pro-t3986351

Also, after downloading the update, don't press reboot.
Go to magisk manager and select install and pick install to inactive slot wait till it's done then reboot.
Always remember to disable modules that could make your device boot loop and restart your device before doing the update process
If you do it this way you don't have to keep making or asking others for patched images and have to use your computer

Can't get root back on SHT-W09 after installing latest Magisk

All,
I'm looking for suggestions on how to restore root to my Huawei MediaPad M5. I recently updated Magisk to stable Manager 8.0.7 and Magisk build 21.4. However this caused me to lose root on the tablet. The tablet is on Android 8.0.
To restore root, I tried the following steps:
1) Downloaded Huawei tablet image 8.0.0, build 200, for the SHT-W09 (C567) USA model
2) Extracted Ramdisk image and copied over to the tablet
3) Opened Magisk and selected Download and Patch File
4) Magisk patched the file and saved it in my downloads folder
5) I then transferred the patch file back to my pc
6) Opened my Fastboot folder that had the patched image
7) Booted the tablet into fastboot mode and tested with command "fastboot devices"
8) After verifying I had a connection, I typed "Fastboot flash ramdisk patched_boot.img"
9) The file was flashed to the tablet
10) I rebooted the tablet, but I still don't have root
Any ideas, do I need to use the command "fastboot flash boot magisk_patched.img"?
Thanks,
Rick
Rick,
I managed to root my CMR W09 C567 EMUI 8.0.0.200 by flashing this older version of Magisk directly within TWRP:
Release Magisk v20.4 · topjohnwu/Magisk
Miscellaneous This release is mainly focused on stability and bug squashing. Please be aware that MagiskHide is no longer enabled by default. Since Google has enabled hardware-based key attestation...
github.com
It does all the work of patching the boot file withing TWRP, and when you reboot into system, there will even be a Magisk apk already installed. Do not upgrade afterwards.
The TWRP that works for me is:
[RECOVERY][UNOFFICIAL] TWRP 3.2.2-1
This is for the Mediapad M5. NOTE: Decrypting data is not currently supported. MTP also does not work, but you can use adb to push and pull files. Team Win Recovery Project 3.x, or twrp3 for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use...
forum.xda-developers.com
The command to flash:
./fastboot.exe flash recovery_ramdisk TWRP-3.2.2-1-MediapadM5.img
PS. You evidently need to have an unlocked bootloader. Mine was locked, but I managed to use the test point method and PotatoNV program. This requires removing the screen (I busted mine--had to replace from AlixExpress).

Hello zentico, is your M5 model SHT-W09?
I have a similar issue: after upgrading my SHT-W09 to latest 9.1.0.360 firmware I patched the recovery_ramdisk-image with Magisk v23.0 and it didn't boot :-(
I was able to pach the same image for recovery mode but in that case I had only limited root access. The only solution I found up to now: using the "old" patched recovery_ramdisk.image which was patched with Magisk v20.4
Edit: looks as if there are existing several C432-360 images. I got the LGRP4-OVS as this was the only version available on firmwarefinder but my device identifies as "P2" most likely that's the reason why it's not booting.

That vbmeta ( if it's patched ) can be used for all A10 builds. Which means u can use it with not only A87, A89. but all others RUI 1 available builds ( A83, A75....etc)

You can only do that with Permissive ROM builds, for Enforcing, you will need to patch boot.img manually with Magisk, then flash it into boot partition using fastboot command or custom recovery.

how to unlock bootloader realme 7 pro with realme ui 3.0 and flash the custom recovery and cuatom rom

hi guys i'm trying to unlock the bootloader and install a custom recovery and custom rom i've never done it if anyone can help me and all the necessary files thanks a lot
Well first downgrade to rui 2.0 and then using deep testing apk unlock the bootlorder and then flash custom recovery (ofox better) . Install your custom rom of your choice then ur good to go

Hi, maybe my experience will be useful to you. I have Realme 7 pro with android 12 rmx2170_11_f.24. I was doing root to my device. What I was doing? First I downloaded deeptest rui3.apk. When I get confirmation from manufacturer I start deep test in app. Then I use ADB to send command for unlock bootloader. I completed this task. Then I downloaded and flash TWRP 3.6.2_12 (because it's can work with android 12. I tried 3.5.2_10 it's not worked). Also you need vbmeta file from rmx2170_11_f.24 to don't make your phone brick. First flash vbmeta then recovery. After recovery you need to install Magisk from TWRP to keep TWRP working after reboot. But, when I tryed install Magisk I was getting TWRP error 1: cannot write /system. How I fix it? I reboot device and install Magisk 25.2 via Android. Then you need patch boot.img from rmx2170_11_f.24 via Magisk and you get Magisk patched boot.img. Then you need flash TWRP again and reboot to recovery. In TWRP you need chose flash img button and flash Magisk patched boot.img to boot partition. Doing this you keep TWRP working and then you can flash custom ROM's to your phone.
Mod edit: 4pda link removed.
here you can get f24 ROM ( you need vbmeta and boot.img from this ROM). ROM is ~2 Gb size. Maybe you need registration on website to download. Also get TWRP 3.6.2. I'll pin deep test rui3.apk and Magisk 25.2 for you here. You can rename Magisk.zip to Magisk.apk and install via Android. I gaved you roadmap how to make this. Hope you can do it. By the way, hello from Ukraine)
