Question Xiaomi Pad 5 5g Global launch - Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 Pro

Hello, did anybody of you know if Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 5g will be launched globally or maybe only Pad 5 with Snap 860 will be available in global version? I wan't to buy this tablet but i wan't to flash global version of Miui into it, buying model available only in China will cause forcing me to use english language in it which i don't want.

i just got myself the 5G variant.
it still has english language in it.
i can also uninstall the chinese apps that came with it

Yes i know, but unfortunately china rom doesn't have other languages like polish, of course i can use it in english but it would be better to have it in polish. Standard version (Xiaomi Pad 5 without pro) will be available globally, but I don't have info if Pro 5g will also be available.

ver.global THERE IS EULOPE Technical suitability

polish is EULOPE? SO 5G GLOBAL is sold.
There is a possibility
Pro version 5G version is not yet available, isn't it?
The reason why the PRO version is not released has not been clarified.

only this 5 Languages on Pro 5G

This is standard version without 5g, and it's abailable in Poland, but there is no information about launch 5g pro version there. Pro 5g version is available in China and we can order it to Poland but it will not have polish language.

Thank for information, we have to wait for global launch if it will be available globally for more languages.

Hi,
Im thinking about buying the Pro version (China / English). Is there any disadvantage to buying this version, I understand Play is installed (at least when you buy from Wonda) and I can uninstall the chineese bloatware - what about updates? Other than languages and not having china apps on how does the global rom vary from the China/English version?

I think there aren't any other disadvantages other than no play store (you can install it manually) and no other languages. If you plan to buy Pro 5g version you should look if 5g modem of this tablet would work in your country, if no you will be forced to use 4g, 3g or 2g. Other differences are unnoticeable for average user like more themes or beta updates in every week.

Is the device rooted to accommodate the play store? Thinking of getting this too but I'm wondering if the banking apps of the country you live in will work? I'm in the UK.

Google Play can be found in Xiaomi Apps Store

Better to get EU version? If so, where from?

Is it better to purchase the EU version rather than the Chinese version of the Honor 9? If so, where can I get it from? Is the main reason that the ROM has Chinese characters in it?
I'm in Australia, and all of the online retailers I regularly use sell the Chinese version.
I've also learned that the Chinese version doesn't support band 7 (2600MHz). While this isn't essential, I'd prefer to have support for this band.
Just purchase your device directly from the Huawei Vmall.

Mate 10 ALP-AL00

Hi, was looking at the Mate 10 ALP-AL00 as it appears to be available now by resellers. Can anyone confirm if the bands on this Chinese model are sufficient for Europe? And any other potential issues? Thanks.
I think that is Chinese, I believe the international is L29.

Yes, since AL00 has even more bands supported than ALP-L29 (version that will be sold in Spain, for example).
See bellow Mate 10 ALP-L29 (Huawei Alps) vs. Mate 10 ALP-AL00 (Huawei Alps) Frequency Band Comparison
https://www.frequencycheck.com/comp...-mate-10-dual-sim-td-lte-alp-al00-huawei-alps
The only hiccup you get with buying Mate 10 ALP-AL00 (Huawei Alps / China) is that although it does include English language there will be few parts in EMUI that are not fully translated therefore re-branding will be necessary (see link bellow for the rebranding tool and info) to have it without any chinese language leftovers throughout the system. After re-branding is done your phone will "act" like the ALP-L29 version with all OTA's and everything working

Did you have opportunity to check if dual sim is active or it is only standby?
Can you you be more specific? When you say that parts of the OS will still be in Chinese are you referring to system files that the average user will not be using and doesn't need to care about or part of the user interface that will be interacted with regularly or occasionally.
Why!!!
I bought a ALP-AL00 like it says in the box and in the cellphone itself.... I bought that version because of de 6Gb RAM and 128Gb ROM... BUUUUUUT... The firmware says it is ALP-L29.... I checked de imeis and both are the same that is shwon in tthe box.... Why?????

Unless you are in China, that is actually a good thing... AL00s are models for Chinese market, with different software and no Google apps. The fact that it say inside the phone software that it is L29 model means it has been rebranded to international software, with fully translated apps, Google apps and international OTAs

i would recommend to rebrand to bla29 aka the international version, but only possible via funkyhuawei so it will cost you 31 US $
Thanks that I Will do now just to choose The right firmware.
I think so it's more than 31$ because my boot loader is locked.
So, I'm seriously torn between which Mate 10 I want, the ALP-AL00 or the ALP-L29. The L29 would cost be about $600, where the AL00 would hit me for about $840.
I feel like I'm not a super power user so I wouldn't notice any kind of a difference between 4gb and 6gb, but at the same time I want the best.
I have a Mate 10 AL00
I rebranded my phone to L29
Will the LTE bands on my phone work like AL00 or L29?
I own an alp-al00 6gb version which is Only availble in china. Installed all the google stuff easily. And if you change the language its all English.

Yes if you are in eu you need to rebrand to c432 because the problem it's only for Europe huawei still didn't added eu country's to the list for associate the phone services with huawei ID that's why in the rest of countries in the world they don't have this problem With notifications with cn version of huawei devices
I had a honor v9 and I had the same problems In Spain then I rebranded to c432 and any more problems with notifications before that I need to have opened the apps for recive notifications

Xiaomi Mi 9t Pro - global release

Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro (aka Redmi K20 Pro) goes on pre-order in Europe
According to GsmArena (https://gsmarena.com/xiaomi_mi_9t_pro_aka_redmi_k20_pro_goes_on_preorder_in_europe-news-38581.php) and many others, the global release (or European model, at least) is in pre order in online seller Belsimpel (https://www.belsimpel.nl/xiaomi-mi-9t-pro/64gb-blauw).
:victory: :victory: :victory:

A few months too late, really strange move from Xiaomi : why didn't they launch it at the same time as the "Mi 9T"?? Plus, rebranding from Redmi to Xiaomi in Europe is a bit strange imho. Do they think we in Europe don't read the worldwide news? Additionally, they won't release the 8/256 version.
Btw, I wonder what will happen to the Mi 9 with a price that close...the real difference is the camera which seems better (to be honest even my Mi 8 takes better pics vs. K20 Pro).
Also I think its a little bit priced.
I'm not sure if I'll buy, long time waiting to be this difference.

You can import it from China (6/64 version) around 315 euros tax free and shipping included, and they're gonna sell it here for 430 euros? It will have a Global ROM for sure, lets see if its the same one as the India ROM (POCO launcher included) or not but still...
Btw i think if Europeans want to wait for a new phone they should wait for the Mi Mix 4. The 3rd was a bit of a flop because specs were too close to the Mi 8 which was great, lighter and cheaper but the Mix 4 specs will be spectacular according to rumors. Wait and see!

A lot of people doesn't want to import, and also the main problem is the warranty, people prefer to have a local store where they can go if the phone have an issue.
But anyway, for my part I will buy it on Aliexpress soon
If you want to push further the comparison, in the official Xiaomi China store, the 6+128gb is at +-290€

You shouldn't be buying phones that weren't meant for your country anyways. Xiaomi wants their chinese phones to be only sold in China and the global variants for outside of China.

As far as I can tell there has been no official launch of the phone, so nothing has been confirmed either way. There was the small announcement last week that it will be available in the Benelux region from the 20th, but it gave no specifics. Since then all we're seeing is the phone suddenly appearing for sale in various European websites. So far there doesn't appear to be any 8GB model being sold anywhere.
Even though the Mi 9 had 8/128 and 8/256 options in China, they were never made available on the global version, so it wouldn't be surprising if it turns out to be the same with this one.

Look at the Hong Kong Xiaomi site. There you will indeed see a global Mi 9T Pro with 8/256 GB. These have been on sale for a month or more now. There are a number of people on these forums that have bought them from eGlobalCentral. Sometimes the shipping has been slow, but when they arrive they are genuine Mi 9T Pro phones with 8/256 GB from Hong Kong.

Since the price difference is so small, I'd never even consider purchasing the second best.
But to each, his own. I realize many people are on a budget, but in my case it was worth it.

It seems legit, since band 20 is 800Mhz. If you go for the Mi 9T Pro,
it will have the correct frequencies for Europe, including band 20.
Mine has the untouched global ROM, which is Euro compatible.
The Redm K20 Pro lacks band 20, Nfc, Netflix compatibility etc.
If I'm mistaken in any way, feel free to correct me on this!

If I'm mistaken in any way, feel free to correct me on this!

Chinese K20 Pro only has widevine L3, but has NFC, Indian K20 Pro doesn't have NFC but has widevine L1. Neither has bands 20 and 28

Question Use the Chinese Version of the Realme GT 5G RMX2202 without "My Realme" (avoid big brother)?

Hello from Germany!
(unfortauntly) I just bought a RealMe GT 5G in blue with 12GB/256GB from China (cect shop) for a very good price and awesome specs. (Those specs are not available for the global EU version, right?)
What I didnt know, was that the Chinese version (RMX2202) requires me to "register" myself and "verify my identity" to install an app from F-Droid and also other apps...
So I understand: Big brother must be watching and I don't like it.
I read the thread about removing the Chinese Apps
Bloatware list to disable for Realme GT Neo
and also all pages of this one (fantastic thread btw!)
Realme GT Convert China ROM to Global
On the last pages I've read that some of you are switching back to the CN ROM after flashing the global ROM, because a few things don't work in the global ROM. So I am not sure if I should do it..
Now the question:
Is there a way to use the CN Version without the RealMe verfiy thingi / big brother? Of course wait until we get linage for the device..
Sending it back to china and getting my money back might be difficult. I think about selling this phone and buy myself a EU Version with 8GB/128GB from the official Realme Shop. What's your opinion on this?
Looking forward to your help!
Cheers,
Daniel
Fun/Scary fact:
I ordered the phone from cect and after I've inserted my simcard, I received a whatsapp message from a chinese number +86 saying that they need a pickup from the airport in Berlin (capital city of Germany). Obviously just a message to see if its a real phone number.. I don't live in Berlin nor know somebody who has to get picked up from the airport in Berlin...very interesting.
Enjoy it as it is as long as you have gplay and all other Google services
