Question screen auto-shutoff timer - OnePlus Nord N200 5G

Is there a way to adjust how long it takes before the screen dims and shuts off when idle?
I know there's the setting to make the screen never shut off when the phone is plugged in via the developer settings, but I just want to make it take an additional 30 seconds or so. As it is, it always shuts off right when any ad or timer in every game I play ends. In most cases this is just an annoyance, but in several of my games it actually ends up disqualifying me from the round or event when the screen shuts off due to their anti-cheat measures (pretty sure it triggers any time the app loses being the active app)...

Nothing? No way to adjust it?

Settings, Display, then sleep?

Click to collapse
...Over 4 hours combined time digging through the settings, and I somehow managed to miss that...

The white text is the only thing that shows when the display is dim, rest appears when it is awake.
Time shows when cards come up on the screen if you have preview enabled, and charge/cloud icons appear above the time and do not get jumbled in it.
Single digit minutes show up as "o' six" so it don't look odd.
Would you be able to make a more dynamic version? for example one that stays all the writing on all the time (battery wise its the same thing, since the g watch has lcd not amoled), and to insult the day of the week also? ( fvck! It's monday, shiet, it's tuesday...you get my drift). If you can, put it on play store, I, and probably many more, would be more than willing to pay a dollar or two for a more dynamic version of this

How to minimize display screen timeout time to 1 second

Presently Settings => display => screen timeout now allows minimum 10 seconds timeout. What a ridiculous usability: I use gesture/motion to wake up the clock and while screen is on the jacket's sleeve swipes the menus. Why the f..k we need 10 seconds to stare at the watch? Can we have a custom choice to set the timeout, are all users such idiots that the menus have to be made so stupid to satisfy "pleasant stupid f..g user experience"? I am mad, Samsung is worse than Apple.
Anyone knows how can I set the display time out to 0.5 or 1 second only? How to change this, is there an app? Or maybe I could use developer's mode to modify the kernel or main code? Where should I start?
Not in Gear setting but the face "WatchPlus" is made to timeout the screen in 1 or 2s and gain battery life

Ambient Display setting has no effect

Hi,
as per thread's title, I can't see any difference when switching this setting on. Is it just me?
Thanks for any info.

I does work for me.
If the Display is turned off and you receive a message or whatsapp or email and so on, the display activates and is showing the lockscreen.
If this option is turned off and a msg comes in there is no reaction at all, so the display remains dark. (Other than the sound / vibrate / light etc.)
Well, in this case I can confirm it doesn't work for me.
(Mmmh... now it's more than one thing that's not working...)
Any suggestion? The feature looks quite nice.
OK, it works when setting one lock method at least, I.e. swipe to unlock. I had nothing set before.
Not sure it makes sense, but at least it works.

Battery Drain.

This morning, my phone was at 100% battery.
I used it for just like 5 minutes to send a message and check an address on internet.
I just awaked it and the battery is at 60% now !
The battery curve dropped all day long while i was working ! It never happened before and when i check the battery usage it tells me the phone was awake for 2/3 of the day ???
Look at Awake VS Screen On time.
Also i recently switched all my app to manual power management with just 3 of them that can run in background (message, mail and inoreader)

Check the screen attached, what do you think ?
Looks like Google Play Services ****ed it today...
I'm switching back all apps to automatic battery management to see what happens tomorrow.
In first picture, tap again with your finger on exclamation mark ( ! ), and it will show you what app exactly is using more battery then normal.

Question Adaptive brightness = screen too dark

Hi,
I have a s23 ultra since a few months.
Everything were fine, but since 1 week, screen is a bit too dark with adaptive brightness on.
I don't why but when I'm at home, the phone is usable but too dark.
Outside, I have to manually increase luminosity.
Do you have any idea?
Do you use a screen protector? If yes is it one of those privacy ones? Those are darker
Have you run Diagnostics in Maintenance menu?
There's a proximity recognition there. Try that.
There are android apps, example, DevCheck, that lets you check sensor data like this one called Light.
Check if everything is normal there.

Hi,
I use the same tpu screen protection since the first day, it's not a privacy one .
I've launched "sensors" and "proximity" diagnostic with no problem
