dont i need to enter fastboot mode in order to flash the stock rom

Flashing Stock ROM typically is achieved by ADB Sideload method. But this in your case can't be performed because your device stucks in a bootloop, means a stable USB-connection what ADB relies on isn't possible.

I could not find an recovery for Huawei Y6 2018 but I may tell you this:
You may unlock your bootloader and root your device.
How you may root it?
Get the boot.img of your model (you may get it extracting an update.app for your model)
Install Magisk Manager on your device and patch that boot.img
After that go to your PC, make sure you have usb debugging and OEM unlock enabled from dev settings on your phone and install "minimal adb&fastboot 15 sec installer" or something like that and put the patched boot.img in the folder of minimal adb and fastboot.
Now shutdown your device and after that press power and volume down for about 5 seconds and connect the usb cable ( that usb cable should be connected to PC). Now your device should go into fastboot. Now type fastboot devices(In minimal adb and fastboot console). It should show you an number, if nothing shows up then its not good.
If it shows up type fastboot flash boot boot.img
You are done. This may go wrong and may hard brick your device, don't blame me for that.
This requires your bootloader to be unlocked, to unlock it you need to get the bootloader unlock code from huawei, put your phone into fastboot and type fastboot oem unlock (code)
If I helped, the thanks button works well

So basically download this https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2433454
Get the update.app for your device.
The update.app is basically the Stock Rom for your device.
Search google to find it.
Now extract huawei update extactor into an folder. And run the exe. (The link i sent)
And now you will select the update file (update.app) and you should see some .img files, now you may extract all of them, but select the system.img and boot.img and right click on your mouse. You will see the option Extract selected.
Now wait until it extractes itself.
If i helped press the thanks button

Stock Rom isn't available yet for download.
I've tried installing TWRP using fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
That failed.
Then I used fastboot flash recovery/ramdisk recovery.img
Succes… But then its impossible to boot into TWRP. It automatically jumps to eRecovery.

Hm. Treble made some things different.
Also what recovery you wanted to flash?
I could not find any for Huawei Y6 2018 so you may hard brick your device if you use one for Y6 2015 etc.

I've tried flashing serveral twrp's. ClockWorkMod is definitely a no go. Then there is a mate10 tool. Tried that. Nothing. It says bootloader locked. While frp and bootloader are both unlocked.
I'm not worried about a hardbrick. It was a gift. So just toying around.
Found a stock firmware on easyfirmware.com . But they make you pay. So nope.
I'll just keep on googling until I find something that will work.
My coding is nill. So.... Hope and pray.

Well well well. If you tried to flash clockworkmod or twrp to your device, Huwei Y6 2018, from Huawei Y6 2015 that means hard brick lol, what were you thinking. See the description of the thread lul. You could have hard bricked your device, there are no custom recovery's for Huawei Y6 2018. So be more carefull, clockword recovery is already oold so there was no reason to be for an device from 2018.

I bricked my Huawei Mate 10 too
Please help.. I also bricked my Huawei Mate 10 ALP-L29C636...
I installed the EMUI 9.0 on my device using the HWOTA8_Mate10 method which was successful. The EMUI 9.0 ROM was from FirmwareFinder: ROM version ALP-L29C636E2R1P8B108-log (9.0.0.108). I didn't have any issues at all but since Huawei Mate 10's EMUI 9.0 is still in Beta, I decided to switch back to the stable EMUI 8.0.
Here's where the problem started... Since I want to downgrade, I went ahead and downloaded the 3 needed files (update.zip, update_all_hw, update_data_public) from FirmwareFinder: ROM version ALP-L29C636B143 (8.0.0.143). I fired up HWOTA8_Mate10 and started the installation process. The first step was to boot to fast boot and then plug the device, after that, the software asked me to unplug the device and press volume+ and power button but the device won't boot to recovery anymore. The device is now stuck at "Your device is booting now..." I tried rebooting the device but it won't work. Tried to go to eRevovery to wipe cache/factory reset but it will go back to "Your device is booting now..." page. I tried reinstalling the recovery.img via fastboot and tried to boot to recovery mode again but it won't work anymore. I believe my device is now soft bricked . I can still boot to fastboot, I even tried fastboot flash system system.img which was successful but the device still won't boot. Please help how to recover my device. I think I went too far and now I don't know how to fix this issue.

Flash back stock pie kernel. Hwota flashes recovery and kernel (and ramdisk which fails because there is no ramdisk partition in pie). If kernel doesn't work because its corrupt or wrong (pie kernel is 4.9 while Oreo use 4.4) your device can't boot recovery or boot to system.
You can downgrade using TWRP but you'd have to do it manually.

I have unlocked the bootloader after that I have installed the twrp and wanted to have the magisk too.

I was using realme ui 1.0.
So you have unlocked bootloader from ui 1.0 and flash twrp and try to root. Perhaps the magisk is not for ui 1.0. Can you still go into twrp and flash ui 1.0 (c.03) or downgrade? BTY your phone is India version, right?

yeah still i can go to twrp but unable to install the officiAL rom as twrp does not recognizing ozip file so what to do now? i have global version.
So you used stock recovery to flash india version ui 1.0 and unlock the bootloader and flash twrp, that sounds great. Just try to change ozip to zip and see twrp do.

So you hard bricked you phone by locking bootloader.
Maybe you should take it to service center.
Flash twrp 3316 IMG..it will flash ozip
Had boot/recovery destroyed message after attempting to flash a gsi. I followed the unbrick guide. I can access fastboot & boot into recovery, however touch input is not working so I'm unable to do anything. Phone sticks on the realme screen when attempting to let it boot. Any ideas? I live in the US so a service center isn't possible.
XDA seems pretty dead these days. Shame.

it happened to me too. i can help you. first boot into fastboot and use ur computer to flash twrp using command "fastboot flash recovery (attach twrp img here) then boot into recovery which should be twrp and then download orangefox recovery for realme xt. it should be a zip file so just install it using twrp. Then get the official realme xt ozip from their website boom orangefox should install it then wipe data once again.. then start your system. if it goes into recovery again just wipe data again and it should work.

Question In dire need of Narzo 30A (RMX3171)'s NVRAM & NVDATA

Long story short, I accidentally formatted everything while trying to flash Stock ROM using SP Flash Tool.
Now I'm having the "Download not completed" error at boot.
I tried solving it by flashing oppo_cutsom which didn't do any good, and after I took it to repairs, they told me I need the original NVRAM & NVDATA
which I can't find anywhere online (at least, not for free -_-).
Can someone please share their Narzo 30A's NVRAM & NVDATA with me?
Thanks in advance

I managed to get the "Download not completed" fixed, but now I'm in a different kind of bootloop, and I think I need a "verified" version of recovery.img...Where can I find it?

I just managed to install PBRP recovery onto my device, and I accessed it then went straight to Fastboot option (I wanted to flash the stock ROM using realme flash tool), but my PC couldn't detect the device (not Fastboot, nor ADB) although it detects other android phones.
Anyways, since that didn't work - I tried installing PixelExperience (It worked before on my phone, so I thought it would work again but after rebooting the phone didn't even boot).
I then flashed the original dtbo.img, but there's no system,, only the recovery.
Any idea how to fix this?

Can you send fast boot mode pic to me it might help
First of all, thanks for guiding me to that group on Telegram (I found the stock recovery there, and I could flash the .ozip thanks to it) but I only managed to make it boot to the yellow RealMe logo, and now it stays there until it reboots on its own. What could I have done wrong? (I did wipe data/reset everything before starting to flash the ROM).

I have no access to fastboot,
can I use Mtkclient and erase usedata instead?
Edit:
I noticed that after flashing PBRP recovery, and choosing the fastboot option, the devices is detected in fastboot mode (via command "fastboot devices") for like 2 seconds, then it loses connection. Any idea why?
Okay I just revived the phone,
What I was missing for it to boot was the original oppo_custom image,
For those who haven't got a backup, here's the one I used to restore my phone:
Realme_Narzo_30A_oppo_custom.rar
