Auto Power on when charging connected? - OnePlus Nord N10 5G Questions & Answers

I am using this phone for special purposes. I need it to power on, boot, when the power cord is connected.
Normally, you do this by going to fastboot and type in fastboot oem off-mode-charge 0
It accepts this command, returns OK, but it will not power on when power is connected. It just boots to the battery indicator screen.
Any ideas? I would rather not root this or anything, I have it working every other way I need it to.

have you find any solution ? because i have the same issue

I think I lost my bootloader

So, my Maxx suffered a power button failure and I should be receiving my warranty replacement from VZW sometime in the next day or two. Other than the power button not working, the phone is functioning fine. It reboots, runs normally, functions perfectly. I'm running .215 rooted and I want to return the phone back to stock before shipping it back. Problem is I can't access Boot Loader, no matter what I try. It's like it's not there anymore and when I command the phone into it using quick boot, adb, or the built-in menu, the phone just power cycles off. Let me try to explain:
I have Quick Boot installed and I can use it to boot into recovery without a problem. If I try to boot into Boot Loader, the phones powers off and stays off.
I've tried adb shell with the same results. I can connect to my PC and command the phone using shell commands but usin the 'adb reboot bootloader' command results in the same thing: phone power cycles off and stays off.
Even though my power button is AFU, I figured out I can still access the main recovery menu (the vol down to choose, vol up to select one) by holding down the vol up/down and plugging the phone into a charger. Same thing: power cycles off and stays off.
* Funny thing is although my power button doesn't work, I can still soft reset the phone by holding the power button in and vol down - which is what I need to do to exit recovery or other menus I need to input to a prompt using the power button.
Anyone know of this happening? MY guess is since my phone starts and functions normally otherwise, the boot loader is still there in some form. I just don't know how to access it. Any help would be much appreciated.
I can confirm this app will reboot bootloader

Thanks Dave but not for me. Same result: phone power cycles off and just stays off when selecting reboot bootloader.

If there is no bootloader you won't be able to start your phone at all as its THAT what basically boots the whole hardware and software....
How about adb reboot bootloader or adb reboot recovery commands ?

The bootloader being the phone's "bios" is kind of how I understood it so I'm figuring it's still gotta be there. I just can't seem to access it or get to the "device/battery OK, device disconnceted" menu. I tried adb reboot bootloader and got the same results: power cycle to off and stays off. adb reboot recovery works fine.
Knowing this phone is going to be turned back in, is there any other way I could re-install .211 without having access to the bootloader screen?

Try the eternity project flasher or the motorola's rds lite if they will be able to put the phone to the flash mode as they do that automatically...

I posted a thread over at DroidRAZR.com and got some good feedback and troubleshooting help. It looks like the bottom line is the power button failed in the 'on' postion. One of the folks that replied to the DR thread caused his device to show the same 'AP Fastboot power-off' that I was getting by entering the 'Boot Mode Selection Menu' and holding the power button down while he vol+ to select AP Fastboot. It caused me to look a little closer at what the device was doing and that seems to be exactly what's going on - I powered th phone down using the Quick Boot app and was able to soft reset by holding down the vol- key by itself (didn't need to press power in conjunction). After it SR and i released the vol- key, the device rebooted by itself.
For your info, that thread is here: http://www.droidrzr.com/index.php/topic/3782-cant-access-boot-loader-menu-no-matter-what/
I tried working a thin piece of paper in around the button but no luck there.

[Q] Completely bricked Android (i9270) - just vibrates twice

Hi,
I'm new here.
I have an issue. My Android phone is bricked. It is an MT6515 phone; model i9270+ (Chinese dual SIM phone).
I had trouble rooting it, so I was half way there following steps in THIS thread.
To see more specs. about this phone check HERE (chrome tells me that this site has malware, but I ignored it...)
On to the issue...
I accidentally flashed my phone with the wrong boot image from fast boot ("fastboot flash boot boot.img"). I had a clockwork mod backup copy of my own boot.img, so I just wanted to reflash it. Fastboot said that the flash failed.
I tried again, and then in the middle of the process my command prompt stalled. Phone was in flashing process for about an hour, so I hit Ctrl+C to stop it... I wanted to do a recovery from the phone itself using clockwork recovery...
When I wanted to boot my phone there was no screen light. The phone just vibrates twice and that's all.
PC won't recognize it, so I can't go back to fastboot mode. Key combination (vol up + power) won't bring fastboot mode...
This phone seems completely bricked...
Is there anything I can do to "revive" it?
I googled my issue, but I couldn't find anything useful. All simple solutions like getting the battery out for an hour, holding some weird key combinations, plugging it in USB on a different port, and such didn't get me any results...
Can anyone help me, please?
Thanks in advance!
More info...
Ok, I've just tested few more things:
When just holding a power button - phone vibrates once, and second time about 4 seconds after
When the battery is out and the phone is on USB - it does nothing
When the battery is in and I plug the USB (without pressing power) - it vibrates once, and second time about 1 second after
When holding Vol Up + Power (on this phone this is entering to fastboot) - does nothing
When holding Vol Up and plugging USB - PC recognized it as "SCI USB2Serial (COM10)" device, and the driver installation failed.
Before I typed this whole post PC recognized my phone as "unknown device", and the driver installation also failed.
Commant "adb devices" or "fastboot devices" does not recognize the phone while being plugged on USB.
When I plug it on electrical charger it vibrates twice just like pressing the power button.
Programs like "MTK Droid Root & Tools" do not recognize it...
Can anyone help me?
How to input in a new software? I have Boot.img, System.img and Recovery.img ...
@Admin -> you can close/delete this thread
I sold my phone... Some dude needed speakers, display and touch digitizer, so I this phone was of some good use for him

[Q] How to get into fastboot mode

I got a XT912 with a screen that stays black(don't know why, it looks fine). What i am trying to do, is to get into the fastboot mode without seeing anything so i can flash a stock rom via pc. Whatever combinations i try i only get it to reboot(it keeps saying "droooiiiidd"). I googled alot and i can't find a solution for this.
The reason why i want to flash a new rom is because i want to try if i can fix this screen issue and because the screen is locked and i can't get past that and use the phone(via otg and hdmi out).
How do i shut the phone down only using the keys(without restarting) and how do i start from a powered down mode into fastboot(step by step guide would be helpful).
Ensure phone is completely powered off (also, fully charged). Vol down + Power (vol down first). Release power button after 3-5 seconds, and then release vol down. You are now in fastboot. Connect usb, and your computer should identify the phone.

What about selecting fastboot first? Isn't there some kind of menu i get into after doing that(at least i know there should be one)? Where i have to scroll down and select fastboot.
Holding vol up and vol down will bring you to the boot menu. Vol down is directly to fastboot mode.

Can i somehow shut it down with the keys? I don't know why, but whatever i try it keeps rebooting only.
Press and hold both vol buttons and the power button for six to ten seconds. Then release all three. That is a manual reboot. A working screen will briefly flash. If you try to boot to the main boot menu, with vol +/-, and power, AP Fastboot is the third option. Press vol down twice to highlight ap fastboot, vol up once to select it. This also takes you to AP Fastboot mode, as opposed to the vol down and power, which is direct.

Thats what i tried just now, i pressed vol+/- and power to reboot. Soon after i pressed again vol+/- and power and waited for like 10 sec, then i pressed vol - 3 times and then vol + and all he did was reboot again damn. Is my timing wrong? 3 times down is wrong i guess if i start from position 1. Just as a reminder i can't see anything.
Volume down twice to highlight AP fastboot, up once to select. Also, you want the phone to be completely off to boot into fastboot mode. There is no way to REboot into the boot menu

What i did now is open the back, disconnect the battery and connect it again, use vol down button + power button for ten sec and then plug it into the computer. Nothing happens, atleast not on the computer, the phone shows a white light in the top left corner. It stays on even if i disconnect the cable.
Holding for that long can cause a reboot. Try holding the vol down and power for like... three seconds, after reconnecting the battery. Also, are you using an OEM motorola cable? And, have you ever used RSDlite? Have you prepared for flashing with the appropriate fastboot sbf files? Once the computer recognizes the phone, you'll want to have the motorola drivers installed, RSDlite ready, and the right sbf file ready.\
EDIT
Even if you do access the fastboot menu, if the phone believes the battery is too low, it will not allow the pc and phone to connect. The screen should say:
AP Fastboot Flash Mode (S)
0A.77
eMMC Info: Size 16G
To return to normal mode- first press power key to power down
Device is LOCKED. Status code: 0
Battery OK
OK to Program
Connect USB
Data Cable
I realize that your screen isn't displaying anything, but this menu is what will restrict you from flashing if the battery is low. Instead of Battery OK, it will say Low Battery

I know how to use rsdlite, because i flashed my xt910 with it. The battery could be a problem. I have it fully charged and will try it again now, but if that doesn't work i propably need a factory cable. I think i made it into the fastboot mode in previous tries but got stuck because of the battery status.
Edit: Reconnecting the battery and getting into fastboot mode seems to work, but connecting the cable gives me the white light and nothing else works.
So your computer is still not recognizing the phone, even when it seems to be in fastboot?

Yep, no reaction from the os and nothing listed in adb devices or fastboot devices.
Assuming the battery power is adequate, the next and only solution is the proper data cable (OEM).
If the battery is low, you'll need to either use a TBH factory data cable, or the workaround of hard wiring a stripped usb cable screwed to the battery terminals on the phone. Once the phone identifies a good power source, it will allow a pc connection.

EDIT
BP SBF Flash is the fourth option down, out of seven total, I believe. If you can boot to the main boot menu, and click vol down 3 times, you'll select this option. As I recall, I was able to confirm my phone, usb cable, and pc were all communicating. My *pc identified an unknown device being connected, even with a nearly dead battery. Then I knew I just needed a power supply. I'm not sure what this option is for, but it told me what I needed to know.

Ok i will try that until i get one of these cables or adapters.
Is it possible to use adb via recovery or do i need a custom recovery for that? I am not sure if i need to unlock the bootloader via motorola( have to use fastboot for unlock), that would as far as i know reset the stock rom(if i need a custom rom).

[Q] Colorfly CT974 - Power on when USB inserted

This is a rooted Chinese tablet running Android 4.2.2, and I would like to have it boot up automatically when plugged in. Currently, if the tablet is powered off by holding down the power button, it will turn on automatically when plugged into a USB charger. If the device is shut down using the power menu or the reboot -p command, however, it will not turn on when plugged in. It will only display the charging symbol. Running the "adb shell reboot bootloader" command reboots to a black screen. Any ideas?

Lenovo S8-50LC Boot Problem .. Please Help!

Hello XDA Community,
Sorry I didn't know where to post this...
Two weeks ago I purchased a Lenovo S8-50LC Tablet. It was working fine until last night, I was watching movies on Youtube and chatting with some friends. Then I went to bed and there was still around 50% charge in the battery.
When I woke up, I tired to wake up the device but it didn't respond. I thought it was stuck or something, so I tired to hold the power button for 20 seconds to do a hard reset but still didn't work. After that I plugged it in to a power source with the compatible charger that came with it and the screen light up with no data on it. I tried to power it on then and it showed the Lenovo logo and in a very tiny font underneath the logo it said "Boot Fail, Efi hard drive".
Then it would take me to a screen which says:
"EFI Shell version 2.31 [1.0]
Current running mode 1.1.2
map: Cannot find required map name.
Press ESC in 5 seconds to skip startup.nsh, any other key to continue.
Shell>_"
http://imageshack.com/a/img907/6979/reZJPf.jpg
and that's it!
I don't understand why this screen appears. I mean the tablet was working properly over the night and it had no issues whatsoever, but now it doesn't boot!
Then I tried to power it off and press Volume UP + Volume DOWN + Power Button, it showed a black screen with only one line: "FastBoot Starting...Can't get eMMC Info, revert to default value!"
http://imageshack.com/a/img661/1158/bRg9jj.jpg
That's all what I got...
PS:
1- The tablet does all that only when it's plugged to a power source, but when it's not plugged, it doesn't show anything.
2- When I plug it into the pc via USB, the pc doesn't recognize it.
3- I tried to boot into fastboot mode or recovery mode but it doesn't work either.
Please help me fix my tablet and I hope it's going to be soon. Thank you all in advance!
UPDATE:
1- I left it on the charger for maybe 2 hours and now it's turning on without being plugged in to a power source.
2- When I press Volume UP + Volume DOWN + Power Button, it shows the previous mentioned phrase, but now when I connect it to the pc via USB, windows recognizes it as Lenovo Composite ADB Interface under Android Phone
http://imageshack.com/a/img903/3907/oQdSAB.png
3- Tried to perform some fastboot commands like flash, format and erase, it always fails with the error:
Failed (remote: unknown command)
UPDATE2:
1- When executing ADB commands like adb devices it says "no devices found"
anyone?
Hello. A friend of mine has the same problem. He dropped the device and the screen cracked. After a reboot the tablet is on the same situation. I plugged a keyboard via otg , it stops the countdown in the EFI SHELL, but i can not type anything. I think is an eMMC related problem.
I guess the eMMC is totally fried or something. But, I mean, I didn't leave it on the charger all night or anything, why would it do such a thing!
any solutions or suggestions??

Thank you for your reply but it doesn't work .. as I mentioned earlier I don't have a "download mode" because any key combination I try to use just sends me to the shell window .. anymore suggestions would be appreciated!
-unplug usb cable
-turn off
-hold (volum+) and (volume -) towice
-press power button
It should go to fastboot quickly (a black screen with a little text)
