Pixel Experience 12.0 v400.a released!
Changelog:
Initial build
Sync with phh's AOSP 12.0 v400.a

Notes:
Don't ask for PE+ builds as they will come later in time. In the past, PE team took nearly four months to release the first builds of PE+ after releasing regular PE builds. Based on PE's team predictions, it should arrive in a month or so!
Use the slim variant if you have a small system partition (without Drive, Gmail, Maps, Photos, Recorder, Wallpapers and Google app)
Finally, take in consideration phh's notes that should also apply here:
This is a pre-release. This is not considered daily-drivable, though your mileage may vary.
As you'll notice, there is no A-only variant at the moment. It is still undecided whether A-only variants will later appear.
If you want unshared_blocks/read-write system, use vndklite variants. Non-vndklite devices are capable of running vndklite variants.

stuck at android logo on Pixel XL. Any suggestions?

Hello I'm facing major issue in this GSI. Can't pull status bar quick toggles, developer options disabled showing "developer options not available for this user", gesture navigation buttons not working, recent apps always showing empty. Needed to know if this is known issue. I guess this happening because after fresh installation this didn't show setup wizard similar issue to this article.

it works fine for me, only a few minor graphical glitches. hope the next version will be better

I have tested in my xperia lena 10 III , stability is same as stock rom here + I have certified play stores
good job

This GSI is running fine on my a71 but when I try to get into recovery, it just gets stuck on the logo screen and reboots and boots into twrp again but still stuck on the logo screen. This happens until I hard reset device. After I hard reset I boot fine into the gsi

Is this rom has material you monet themeing

This is outstanding ... Went from stock Android 10 somewhere last week, to your Pixel+ GSI to now a Pixel 12 GSI on my Galaxy Note 9 (Exynos) with what i can see so far is 0 issues (auto brightness excepted ( i need to help fix that with an overlay i suspect )). Great work and many thanks to you and @phhusson for keeping this old fella up to date !! Android has been fun again the past week
Im not seeing the GPU glitches either mentioned on phh's github for Samsung unless the workaround is already applied..
Thanks !!!!

I have not applied any workaround. I just don't see any glitches. I also guess monet theming is in place as its a part of A12.. you can change stuff relating colors in the settings, not paid much attention to that though.

Yeah can someone help with auto brightness on Samsung devices ? Also root a S10 is kind of a pain, even going in recovery take few tries with buttons combinations. Boring stuff

Works well on moto g 5g plus!
Thank you for your work
I think the old version of TWRP published on XDA for nairo does't work on android 12 anymore because it bootloops.
EDIT: Also the aux isn't working, I've tried using the patches in settings for huawei devices and also connecting a usb-c dongle to aux but it's not working either.
I hope there will be a patch together with huawei for motorola phones but i guess they have less development going on.
There might be both overlays for nairo and audio drivers(i think) on the omnirom project.
EDIT2: SOLVED both problems, i created a guide to fix both here

I`m new to GSI, more like used to old school ROM installing and crap. I wonder if after installing this ROM on my treble-compatible device (which has worked perfectly fine for other people on YouTube):
1. Any new updates from this alpha stage will be rolled out automatically over the air or do I have to update manually reflashing, etc? How would that happen?
2. Google`s security updates, like the one released today will be installed over this build or that is part of another process?
Thank you!

1. No GSIs have user-facing OTA yet. Flash manually all the time.
2. As part of flashing/updating the GSI itself.

Hello, i just flashed this gsi (arm64 ab).
But, when booted, it just blank. But it have sounds using power button (Like sound while locking and opening). And i can't mount system in recovery. Using a10 vendor
Is this vendor issue?

where do i grab the pixel experience gsi for flashing to moto g7 power .

Background:
This is a natural continuation/extension of the LineageOS 16.0 GSIs I've been making since March 2019.
If you clicked in here, I bet you know what LineageOS is already, but just to fill the blank:
LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS GitHub repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit Gerrit Code Review.

Disclaimer:
This is still mostly a LineageOS team / PHH @phhusson effort, credits to them and all associated for making all this possible.
No flashing instructions will be offered. If you're here in this forum, you should know what you're doing.
No guarantees that everything would work. This is a GSI, bugs are bound to happen.
Download:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/andyyan-gsi/files/
Compressed as .xz archives - extract first.
Vanilla except for these changes:
Modifications needed to make it build/boot/feature-complete, see below
Revived navbar layout tuning via sysui_nav_bar tunable
Disabled "vendor mismatch" warning on boot
Signature spoofing support from MicroG (preliminary patch for Android 10)
Default stretch-to-fullscreen (force apps to render in 18:9)
Extra tip:
If you have a relatively low-end device and experience UI stutters, try this simple build.prop trick (technically a debug property, so use at your own risk). Thanks @SnapTheRipper for bringing it up!
Stuff on GitHub (builders-only):
Since builders' stuff aren't really interesting to end users, I decided not to separately document the modifications needed in this post; instead just check out the scripts/patches, where most things should be self-explanatory: treble_build_los, treble_patches (PHH's treble_patches adjusted for LOS). Not the cleanest code, but should help if you need some clues.

Couple of things to note:
Even on a device that runs Pie GSIs nicely, it's still possible to get broken media, camera, RIL or even flat-out no-boot on Android 10 ones. You are strongly advised to try PHH's AOSP first and identify/report issues there, before moving onto other GSIs that are based on his work. Please report bugs here only if it's specific to this GSI.
LineageOS 17.x has lost some features in the process of transitioning to Android 10, e.g. Privacy Guard and built-in SU.
If using Magisk on an A-only device, a modified Magisk is required.
exfat SD cards still don't seem to work. Any help related to this would be appreciated.
The feature "Re-enabled lockscreen shortcuts by default" has been dropped - not that it can't be done, but Google again made ugly changes to the lockscreen, and with the shortcuts turned on it looks asymmetric and adds to the ugliness. Lockscreen shortcuts themselves might still come back with a future upstream update, just like how it did in 16.0.
In the 16.0 GSIs I've included changes that allow for automatic front camera actions for Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro, but these have to be reworked for Android 10, and I'm not interested in doing so (in fact I prefer manual controls). Consider these changes abandoned for now.
Initial builds are based on PHH v204 and November security patches.
Building-related bits will be published when I have more time to clean them up.
EDIT: Due to some missing bits in LOS, the fix from v204 failed to apply. If you are having camera issue specific to this GSI, refer to this post for a temporary fix. Won't make a separate batch of builds just for this one issue.
Warm welcome. :fingers-crossed:

Thanks great work i have at the moment bugs
The recents not working and the battery indicator and camera is not working
Galaxy J710FN
Using ZTE Axon 7.
None of the camera apps work and fingerprint doesnt work. Other than that seems pretty okay for now.
@AndyYan hello
i tried your fresh Los17 arm64ab build on the Mi A2 Lite
and faced with big issue - camera not works at all
and screen recorder, and torch
tried opencamera too
but it works in the AOSP v204 and Havoc 3.0 GSI
Congrads to OP, arm Aonly build working well in moto g6 xt1925-6. Used magisk phh 19.3 to root. Seems very smooth, no noticeable lag and ambient display is bright and easy to see when phone is picked up. Very nice. Cheers

However I'm pretty sure this has been fixed by v204 already, which I did include (it fixed FP on one of my devices). Are you really using the 1117 build? If yes I'll consult PHH about it.
(I reckon you're in the Telegram group as well?)

You're likely right - I just checked the only Oreo vendor device I own and I'm seeing libnativeloader-related errors in log as well. Camera doesn't work on this device even on AOSP v204 so I assumed they were bugging out for the same reason; looks like that's not the case. Good thing I still have at least this Oreo vendor device on hand - this libnativeloader problem (and the corresponding fix in v204) was said to only target Oreo vendors.
I'll do some tests and/or consult PHH - the fix might not be immediate so if you need your phone don't hesitate to switch to other ROMs.

Ive flashed last version yesterday.
Coming from PEplus 10.
Very nice and smooth so far.
A couple of things.
- Is it possible to add a quick setting button > Screenshot?
- Is it possible to modify the app to get longer Screenshots by pressing down button, as in PE plus? I found that really usefull!
- Im having trouble when flashing Magisk. Everything breaks and I get into bootloop.
Thanks indeed!
Great work.

Does this rom have low volume issues like most other moto x4 roms?
I'm currently running PE 10 Plus. Can I flash PE 11 over it or do I need to do a clean flash? I want to upgrade to 11, but I don't really want to factory reset the phone.
First of all, sorry for my bad english and second, thank you for making this since the official ROM got discontinued. Had been using these Pixel Experience Custom ROMs more than a year since one of the first PE 10 was published.
I noticed that your ROM fixed a lot of bugs (stability issues for example) added necessary options like the camera GO, Google Lens is working for me now, among other things from the official PE 11 ROM.
I don't think I can help financially, but you have my full support and if you are open to suggestions for example to fix some errors that I might find, I am happy to help anytime.
Finally, I would like that for the next update, you could upload the .zip on another platform, such as Mediafire or Google Drive because I had problems downloading it (It took like 2 hours to download and my internet isn't that bad)
Thank you again,
Atom.

Any chance copying the FM Radio app from Lineage OS 18.1 work with Pixel Experience?
Good afternoon. Any specific date for April update? or any Patch Preview?
Thanks in advance.
Any possibility to make AR Services/AR Core work with this PixelExperience ROM? Because when you try to download it from PlayStore it says that "this app isn't compatible with your device anymore" but the application does have support for Motorola x4 just as the official page says (https://developers.google.com/ar/discover/supported-devices).
This is to play games like Pokemon Go without any problem.
Thank you.

What's working:
Telephony (Calls, SMS, Mobile Data)
WiFi
Bluetooth
NFC
Fingerprint
Camera
HWC
GPS
What's not working:
Obviously Samsung's own features such as Samsung Pay, KNOX, Theme Center, Game Launcher, etc. won't be ported to LineageOS. We may have our own implementation to similar functions, though.
IMS services (VoLTE, VoWiFi, etc). Samsung has their own proprietary implementation. It is not really possible to easily port that to LineageOS.
Possible Problems:
Problem: Problems with modem like dropping/slow/slowly connecting data connections, missed calls/SMS
Solution: Try to update your device's baseband/modem to the latest available version. If there are still problems, report this bug to the developers.
Instructions:
Flash your choice of custom recovery.
Download the latest build (and optionally gapps).
Reboot to recovery.
Wipe data and cache (required if you are coming from a different ROM or from lower android version).
Flash the latest build (and gapps).
Reboot.

Reporting Bugs:
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg and /proc/sec_log_last_kernel (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)

Main problem with 9.0 and 10.0 roms is that the caller cannot be heard after some time of phone standby. Last rom thats works perfect is 8.1.
It is any chance that 11.0 fixed this issue?
btw edge model has different kernel, someone needs to compile it
first of all big shout out and THANKS to @enesuzun2002 for your great work and roms over the years and keeping our old device (SM-G920F) alive for such a long time .
i downloaded the Rom and kinda went Full CRAZY mod and installed FULL NikGapps + flipendo (Pixel Extreme Battery Saving mod) + Magisk and removed stock Youtube & youtube music & stock lineageos recorder (with Root explorers) and replaced youtube apps with vanced manager,
and i'm having such a great time so far... i come from evolution x & pixel experience and Googlefied my phone as much as possible and bloated it with games & social apps and music.
the phone gets hot some times compared to older operating systems i used before but battery life is kinda amazing to say the least (at least compared to evolution x and pixel experience) and everthing is smooth and (well to be honest it got a bit choppy and lagging at first while i was installing apps non-stop but after installing them and logging in to every app my experience has been great so far)
the only problems i found was :
1.When connecting to "Samsung Level" Bluetooth headset, the audio comes from the phone's main speaker although when you try to change the volume it shows the Bluetooth headset's name and the controls are just fine but the audio comes out from main speaker ( i tried to disable AudioFX with magisk modules and installing Viper4Android but didn't help)
2.while in a phone call using WhatsApp the earphone has no sound and audio comes out from Main Speaker with lower DB ( but i have to say this problem isn't present in calling using Simcard, i mean regular calling) i haven't tested other voip apps
everything else has been great like fast charging, battery life, AUX quality, and what i love the most about the rom is HWC
again big thanks to enesuzun2002 for his great work and passion, i've been a BIG FAN since your nougat roms and you seem to surprise everyone every now & then with your great work.
wish you and everyone the best and hope you all have smiles on your faces, where ever you are... when ever you are
Thanks @ enesuzun2002 for Android 11. It was also meaningful that it was on April 23rd.
I'll wait a little longer; until the stable structure comes out.
Anyone tried this ROM+Kernel with S7e Battery mod? Does it work?

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 12 (S), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
Base source code is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to the project, please visit our Gerrit Code Review.

On my device (XT 1602) I do not face any lag in UI. will you fix the other problems like mobile data? Great work BTW.
Just curious, where are you getting the vendor blobs to build this? I'm trying to build from the source, but when I try to build, I get:
Code:

my god I can't believe that today 02/17/2022 my harpia is running android 12 (S) I swear to God that today I was looking at the forum and I found this I was speechless just today I had done a review of Lineage OS (11) sincerely, you deserve a lot of recognition for continuing to do this and continue to maintain a cell phone that is years old, it is my daily phone now that I found out about this, I did not sit idly by and flash it, I congratulate you, it is a rom very stable and fast, I want to comment on something and it is that with android 11 it took me 2 minutes to start the launcher, here it only takes me 17-18 seconds to start the system I can tell you that this system can become the most stable and quickly for this mobile I will continue waiting for more updates of this version of android and thank you very much for allowing me to continue using my cell phone I have had the opportunity to obtain high-end cell phones but I love my harpia and as a friend told me If something works well for you, don't change it for anything. thankful to all the maintainers who work hard to get updates out.
I want to say that I have only had a small mistake and it is that when I lower the notification bar the cell phone becomes very slow and it takes a few seconds to lower it, I hope they correct the rest, it is perfectly fine, thank you very much! for everything soon a review for this rom so that more people see and appreciate your work.
Booting and installing the image works like a charm and pretty easy.
I tried different GApps but none of them did install. They fail with
Code:
“! Unable to find installation layout. Aboriting...” ?
as shown
in FAQ Point 25 for BiTGApps https://github-wiki-see.page/m/BiTGApps/BiTGApps/wiki/Frequently-Asked-Questions-(FAQ)
w/a does not work. I tried arm (not arm64).
Tested one arm64 NikGApps, this one did install but as expected did not show up.
Can anyone recommend gapps for arm and LOS 19.0?
Thanks
Christian

:+1 That's it.
Now my nearly oldest HW runs the newest Android Version.
So far no lag at all, it feels really fast
Camera does work, but inside Apps like QRCOde scanner nothing is shown so far.

I was very happy to see that someone made android 12 run on harpia, great job by the way.
I had the problems of ui lag and mobile data but nothing that bothers me, I hope you bring more updates
Will it come officially one day?

is monet already working in this version?
I just installed this ROM twice on my harpy, first impression I found quite fluid even for this model. Then when lowering the notification bar the system would slow down too slow and bug, then give interface error dai or the screen would go dark and erase, after that it gave bootloop. Despite this it seems to be a good ROM hopefully improve this so I can use. Monet's not working.

Hello dear @althafvly. First of all, thank you very much for this awesome ROM based on Android 12L (LineageOS 19.1).
It's very stable, fast and battery-friendly. Please dear friend, continue improving this ROM. I really hope the Encryption, SELinux enforcing and UI Lag can be fixed.
One week ago, I had AICP ROM (Android 11) ( @jeferson1979 ), and It is a very stable ROM, but it has two big problems: It's kinda slow and everytime I try to install an weekly update, the whole system is damaged. I really don't know why this happen. I only boot to Recovery and flash the updated ROM, after that I cannot boot.
Tired of that, I tried this Android 12 ROM and wow it's amazing.
Please althafvly, can you add the Security Features that Disable the Quick Settings (Notification Bar) and Disable the Power Menu from Lockscreen???
Thanks again both developers.
Wait....
Testing on my XT1607. I'm getting "System UI isn't responding" once the pulldown menu finally loads (very laggy). One idea is this could be happening whenever the camera & flashlight options aren't working? When the camera and flashlight started working after a few reboots, the pulldown menu stopped being laggy.
The ability to connect to a Wi-Fi hidden SSID has now become fully broken in harpia with 19.1. For some reason, the initial setup wizard *can* connect to a hidden SSID, but, after that, if you ever disconnect from it, you can't connect to it ever again, nor can you ever add it fresh and connect to it. This is further deterioration of the following bug: https://gitlab.com/LineageOS/issues/android/-/issues/2678
Btw, I was able to get data and SMS to work, but not calling, for whatever reason.

the same thing happened to me "System UI isn't responding" once the pulldown menu finally loads (very laggy)." and after that it goes into bootloop. It looks like a good rom, but maybe the ram consumption will be less than the other rons ? | Which rom do you think has the lowest ram usage/light for the moto g4 play ?

What features are missing?
I'm using version 19.1, what will I lose by upgrading to 20?
Wow this realy works fine! Amazing work und doesnt feel experimental at all.
My list of problems:
system color scheme (material you) is not customizable
Paypal not working
Gpay not working
Backup for system settings on gdrive not working
Thank you!
Works fine, thank you! Anyone able to successfully install a stable gapps version?

as mentioned, some features are still missing. paypal/gpay likely a gapps issue not related to android itself - i've had the same trouble and been in contact with paypal, but they're sort of slow.
new build with quite a lot of improvements is up, try it out
New build works fine. Thanks for the colors!
Auto hide centered clock in status bar works as intended now. Pretty cool.
Thanks again
Thx for the update
New build is just phenomenal. Thanks.

That much ?
With your build i get twrp error. Twrp can't mount data.
of course it can't - its android 13, twrp does not support decryption for that.
anyhow, just sideload the zip files in recovery, twrp is not really a supported scenario anyway i am afraid
I'd like to suggest a moratorium on all Android 12/13 development. Seems to me Android 11 is just fine, and Android 12 sucks badly. Android 13 is just more of the same nonsense.
I'm not against progress, but I am against pointless "version inflation".
YES to fixes and improvements. A big NO to endless mindless dead-end "enhancements".
Just as financial inflation makes a suitcase of banknotes worthless, version inflation leaves you worse off than you were before.
But the thing with banking apps and PayPal freaks me out! Any suggestions or hope for future updates on this matter?
Greetings and eyes up guardian!
new build is up, again with plenty of changes, LineageOS team is hard at work!
regarding banking/paypal: there are ways around this, but i can't support this officially here as it has nothing to do with lineage itself. try looking into magisk and it's zygisk functionality, i am sure google can help you (or other threads on xda), but please not in this one
I built LineageOS from source some time ago but I gave it up because it was full of analytics baked deep within the ROM.
Is it still the case or are LineageOS ROMs free of analytics nowadays?
what in the world are you talking about...?
About a dirty flash
Initial setup: latest official LOS 19.1 recovery/build + MindTheGApp + ih8sn ... (No root so no magisk)
About ih8sn (bypassing Safetynet attestation without Magisk): see this post
Prerequisites:
1- Download latest unofficial LOS 20 build (see OP)
2- Download Latest MindTheGapp (13 arm64)
3- Optional: download ih8sn for OP5T (here) ... if you don’t want to rely on Magisk to pass SafetyNet attestation!
Procedure:
1- Boot to LOS recovery
2- Optional (but recommended): Factory reset > Format cache and system partitions
3- Apply Update from ADB or USB OTG in sequence ... LOS build, MindTheGapp and ih8sn (optional)
4- Reboot system now
5- Enjoy
See attached files
Note: works with a locked or unlocked bootloader ...
Many thanks to @qsnc and @T1mb3 !
update now live, plenty of changes yet again. see post #1 and #2
give it a good whirl and try to find problems!
