When you open the magisk app, does it say which versions are installed?

If you have Magisk installed correctly it will look like the above screenshot.
If not it may look like this

That's how I got mine rooted, because I had followed the sofia guide for Magisk and was an immediate success after of course unlocking the bootloader. Been messing with getting TWRP to boot, much less flash now. Found an easy way to extract the touchscreen drivers once rooted, so that it can be loaded into the TWRP image, but still not flashing properly without bootlooping or other oddities.
@Erixda****, there presently is no TWRP for this device that is fully functional for all. But soon, hopefully we can get a well rounded unofficial one off the ground per other threads here about this topic.

I have been really busy at work but I'm gonna try this this weekend and I really appreciate your help. What is magisk note? I found magisk manager and magisk but that's it

New AOSP-Ex Rom won't load, please help

Hello. I own a kindle fire HDX 7 (Thor) with a bootloader installed, but can't install the new rom. I wipe first, then install the rom, and finally gapps. After resetting and pressing continue to skip the recovery, the screen just stays black until it fails and I reset my device back into recovery.
Anyone know what I may be missing?
Thanks!
Edit: the recovery installed is Safestrap 4.01 (TWRP v2.7.1.0). I'm kind of confused as to whether this is safestrap or trwp.
Safestrap isnt the same as TWRP, if you have Safetrap ,you are limited to bootloader locked ROM's like FireNexus KK, you need unlock the bootloader to get full TWRP recovery
Every single ROM needs a minimum recovery build installed to get flashed properly, if my memory dont fail, Marshmallow and Nougat ROM's, needs TWRP version 3.0 or newer ,otherwise thats why you cant install it.
If you have TWRP, you can upgrade using Flashify, start the system, downaload Flashify from Google Play, open it, and use recovery option to replace old TWRP, just grab the new TWRP (search in the forums the links) replace it and reboot, and its done
But check first first which recovery are you install, replace Safetrap with TWRP without unlocked bootloader , will brick your device
This is a TWRP recover screen

Excellent response!
@leeismyname - I happen to be helping another member through unlocking the bootloader (here). Feel free to tag along. Just be sure to use the "Thor" (7" HDX) vs "Apollo" (8.9" HDX) files when installing the vulnerable aboot (bootloader) and TWRP. Ask questions in that thread as needed.
Thank you both for your timely and informative responses! From the pictures, I know I have safestrap. Time to piggy back off Davey's other thread!

Need Help Installing TWRP

I would like to install LineageOS 14.1 on my S4 but I can't get TWRP to install. I'm running the new VRSGPL1 build and have it rooted. Also tried to install TRWP on rooted OF1 but couldn't make it work. I started with a completely reset and wiped phone each time. I used Wondershare to root, unlock the bootloader, and install SuperSU. I then try to use the official TWRP app to install. It says it succeeded but after reboot, I get the message that the phone didn't start correctly and that i need to use the Verizon tool to repair. I've tried MANY different methods to make it work so i'm at the end of my rope. I'm hoping one of you Gurus out there can help. Thanks.

You can only use Flashfire (v.53 or lower with this device) with a locked bootloader. You can't install TWRP or any other custom recovery. Don't keep trying because you will brick your phone.
PS- Wondershare nor any other tool (available now at least) will unlock your bootloader on this device.

Doesn't it mean the bootloader is unlocked if i get the screen with Samsung and an unlocked lock on boot?

No that means you're rooted
Ok. Thanks for clearing that up for me. I installed Flashfire. I tried v .52 first and it wouldn't start up so i uninstalled and installed v .53. It starts up and lets me choose my zip files to flash. I click on flash and it starts the process giving me the screen loading files then goes blank. I've tried changing different settings but i still get the blank screen. Any ideas?

LG K92 5G

Greetings,
Just purchased my LG K92 5G
Trying to Root, but I can't find a guide to do so.
Is there a walk through that I can follow?
TWRP doesn't have anything on their site.
I'd rather not use any of the One click rooters, but if I have to.......
Really just trying to get rid of the bloatware that comes installed on this device.
It's a Cricket phone, if that makes a difference.
Thanks and good Karma for anyone that can help.

I suppose it's because you're not passing google safetynet check.
Use Magisk (v24.1) with activated Zygisk and Deny list on your banking apps.

How do I have to install Magisk on the xperia z sgp311 tablet? Once I had managed to install MAgisk just by flashing Magisk.zip but it doesn't work anymore. I tried changing the name of magisk.apk to magisk.zip. It doesn't work either. didn't work either

Try flashing v24.1 via TWRP recovery. Newer versions may have issues with installation.

Reboot to TWRP recovery > Install > Install Image > then select magisk.zip

On your screenshot v24.3 is indicated. It will not install.
Install Magisk v24.1
I understand that you installed Magisk v24.1, out of curiosity how did you get from the official site an older version of Magisk?

I already tried it and I got the same error
You can find the older versions on the official repository.
About the error, try to uninstall it and install it again.

[TWRP] TWRP for Fossil Gen 6 aka HOKI.

Hey,
Recently I was able to extract the boot.img and recovery.img from the boot.img itself, by understanding its system. I managed to build a TWRP for it, but stuck on the logo screen. ADB shell can be accessible with root.
Device Tree: https://github.com/Malvik298/hoki_twrp_device_tree
Feel free to suggest changes to the device tree. Its still not perfect

Haven't tried all this yet, had some issue with my adb on ubuntu. Internal storage is not detected yet, will try to fix that first at sometime. Dont have much time right now to properly develop it. If Possible can you share your configs you used to build your twrp ?
Mine oppo watch ( beluga )
Could you provide a step-by-step guide how to unlock bootloader / installing TWRP on it and/or building TWRP images for the fossil gen 6 to reproduce your steps ?
did the dirty-pipe exploit work on gen 6 ?

The bootloader unlock and recovery flashing steps are same as the android phone devices. Install the required drivers for accessing fastboot and fastboot binaries to interact with the device bootloader. For building images, u can refer to guides available on the forum. For device tree, clone the repo given above. and for twrp use can you https://github.com/minimal-manifest-twrp/platform_manifest_twrp_omni (Android/twrp 9 branch). Haven't tried the exploit yet.
was any hardware intervention/case opening required for the initial access ? of you've just used standard cable ?
Used the standard cable
