Xperia X VoLTE

Hi guys, here in my city and another ones near recently we have some carriers with VoLTE enabled. I was thinking about reasons that Xperia X don't have VoLTE enabled... I tested in another phones that i have and it works perfectly. The SOC is a snapdragon 650 wich supports VoLTE and HD Voice features, also VoWiFi, according GSMArena it also supports 700MHz band, wich is the one that we have VoLTE here... I'm leting something scape? I also tried some build.prop configs what give-me some "toggles" access "Enable VoLTE" in network settings, i've set to enabled but isn't... So, our stock software don't have any implementation for VoLTE? I've already research about and don't find any satisfactory information...
Thank you,
Luiz
Some providers enable the Volte on the sim only if they see the sim is in a supported phone by them, if its enabled by default on the sim then the phone has to have selected the right modem. You should check to see if sony has specific firmware for your provider here: https://xpericheck.com/device/F5121 , and if it does you should flash the specific firmware if not your only way to make it work is to change some stuff in build..prop and check different modems (you can google to see how its done) and maybe you are in luck that some other provider has the same modem settings with your provider.
1. Check to see if your SIM has Volte enabled on it or you have a way to enable it (some providers auto activate it if they see the sim is in a phone accepted by them and for some you need to send an SMS or something to activate it )
2.Check on xpericheck if there is a specific firmware for your provider (if yes you should flash that , or just flash the customization file) and if not
3. Enable volte in build.prob then test different modems maybe you get lucky (only if you have root)
The phone supports Volte and it works smooth if your provider and sony released a firmware version for it.
I already try to enable VoLTE on build.prop, also searched for modems but no good results. I'm using TIM operator in Brazil on F5122, the only modem for TIM is from another Sony model, and not working yet...

Question US modem question

Has anyone tried changin the chinese version xqbc72 firmware and able to enable the modem freqs for here in the US?
basically changing the chinese to a US model with 5g enabled.
My understanding is that it is not just software that enables carrier bands, but it is also a hardware limitation along with the proper firmware. If possible I would recommend you stick with a US version for the US...besides you may need the warranty.

Could unlocked T-Mobile V60 activate LoLTE/Wifi Calling?

Hi XDArs
I have an unlocked T-Mobile V60 thinQ(LM-V600TM), and now I am using it in Taiwan.
But I cannot see the VoLTE option and turn on the WiFi calling.
Any way to solve this? To help me activate these functions.
(like flash ROM, kernel, driver or radio...)
Thanks
Does your Taiwanese carrier provide WiFi calling option?
Hi there,
If you're on A12, then to enable VoLTE, you may root your device and change one line in the build.prop:
ro.vendor.lge.build.target_operator=SW
Then you may not see the VoLTE toggle but VoLTE should be enabled.

Question Difference between S918B and S918U model

Hello . I have a question about the Galaxy S23 ultra from 2023 all models are equipped with snapdragon 888 gen 2 before in B model Samsung use their exynos chip so what's the best deal the main difference now between U model And B , can we change our U model csc to like B to enable call recording, can we flash B model firmware on it ?
The biggest difference is that u and u1 models can never be oem unlocked because samsung completely removed that option from the software. The other models can be oem unlocked.
Without oem unlock root and BL unlock is just not possible.
As for csc changes, I've tried to change my u1 csc to a B csc and it just won't do it. As for call recording I can't get native to work on the u1 but I have the app called skvalex call recorder and it works on my S23U

Your comment seems to suggest it is Samsung's choice to remove that option, while I understand it is merely a locally imposed requirement (providers? authorities?)

It's not local or providers because other devices sold here can be oem unlocked same as the carriers here allow oem unlocks on devices. Just not samsung. I've been told it's Qualcomm that makes samsung do this but why would they just do it to samsung because Qualcomm supplies components for other manufacturers that sell here yet they can be oem unlocked. The way I see it, it's just a way for samsung to prevent using any other roms on their devices in the US.
My question is why we cannot flash B firmware on it and does U model also has dual sim hardware like B and E model

No dual physical sim but there's 1 sim and esim but you can try to flash the B firmware but it gives an error. I'm willing to bet that even if you could force the flash that it wouldn't boot because samsung would probably make it a brick on purpose for anyone who tried to force it.
I had Galaxy s21 Fe snapdragon model single sim no esim and I converted it to dual sim a physical dual sim device
Both have physically different antenna/modems in them.

Wow, I haven't had Samsung since S3 but was looking at the ultra; and seen unlocked on Amazon(referring to network I suppose), I'm sure thankful to see this info. I was thinking about getting the international version for T-Mobile in US? Thanks for suggesting, advice, etc.
