[Q] Rooted and Ran GladEnable... Still No Sideloading

My Atrix is on 4.1.83 AT&T
I rooted using the GingerBreak
After rooting I ran the Gladenable script as per procedure in this forum
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1017373
It installed succeessfully and i clicked allow when Super User permission displayed.
Now when i try to install 3rd party apps like Amazon / Teamviewer, I am still getting the message "This application comes from unknown source and cannot be installed"
Am I missing something?
How do we know if GladEnable is installed ?
Is there any other option i have to select to Enable Sideloading?
I did see in the Super User Apps tab, 5 New Unknown Apps
Its all almost same time and detail shows
1. mount
2. cp sqlite
3. chmod
4.gladenable.sh sideload
5. gladenable.sh tether
So all above confirms GladEnable installed.
Is these 5 are correct or should i need to see more?
What happen if i run the Glad Enable again?
did you tick the box to allow unknown sources?
When I go into Settings > Applications > Development
I didn't see the option to Allow Unknown Sources.
These are the things i see..
USB Debugging
Stay awake
Allow mock locations
Am I looking at the right place?
Also Under Settings > Applications
I did see these Menus
Manage Applications
Running Services
Development
Double tap home launch
try running root explorer or titanium backup to verify Root access

Unknown Sources will be the First option in the Application menu followed by Preferred install location, manage applications etc. Make sure usb debugging is still on and leave it on! Run glade enable again just say no to them all accept the sideloading one. Give that a shot.
I had exactly the same problem. Download the app called root checker and make sure that you are rooted and have the busybox installed. Also, if you are trying to Run GladEnable.bat on Windows 7, make sure that you run it as admin by holding down control and double-clicking, like step 8 mentions. And last, but not least, make sure you have the usb on debbuging mode, you select the "None" usb option on the on your phone, and that windows uses the debbuging drivers when plugged in. I hope this info helps you.
Thanks everyone for the support!
I just reran Glad Enable and now I see the Unknown source under application menu.

[Q] What generally happen by switch on "USB Debugging"

Hey,
My question is quite simple.
What generally happens in the Android System, when i switch on or off the USB Debugging? Is there a constant in the Android System Configuration, wich is turn on or off? How can the adb attached the devices, wich are turn on USB Debugging?
Hope you understand what i mean.
Thanks!
Thomas
Usb Debugging
If you want to know what is USB debugging and what does it do... heres your answer.. USB Debugging allows the android sdk and your computer to communicate with your android device and transfer data , basically lets you control your android phone from your SDK. It is a tool for developers . It can be activated by going to settings > developer options > USB debugging.

Enable USB Debugging (Install via USB) on Redmi phones without signing to Mi Account?

I am reposting this question here because this issue doesn't seem to be single device specific but applies to all (Xiaomi) devices, especially recent ones.
----
I am trying to debug an android app using my Redmi S2 phone (android 8.1) but there is a problem. Even though I can enable USB Debugging in developer options, I am unable to enable "Install via USB" checkbox. It asks for a Xiaomi account which I don't have (and don't want to open).
As per this one year old reddit thread, its possible but not without rooting. Mine is a relatively new phone and I don't want to root it just yet. Is there any other trivial way to enable the Install via USB option?
I've also found similar solutions on Android Stack Exchange such as this one but all of them either involve rooting or signing into a Mi account. Is there no way to enable this developer feature just normally without doing any of this like on any other phone?

is there a custom firmware that hast usb debugging activated and allows every device to connectt?

Hi
I have a google pixel with a broken screen. I have recovered all of my data before. Since it has a very good camera I just want to use it as a webcam. but to install the apps I want (like droidecam or etc) I need to use Vysor. to use Vysor I need usb debugging access and etc. is there a custom rom or android that has usb debugging activated and allows my pc to connect?

Android 12 Developer options adb "Wireless debugging" option keeps turning off

The Android 12's new features for 'Developer options' 'Wireless debugging' is fantastic because you never need a USB cable anymore to connect between the PC and the Android phone using adb (e.g., when using Vysor or scrcpy).
However, I am CONSTANTLY having to turn the Developer options for "Wireless debugging" back on because that Developer option for Wireless debugging goes from ON to OFF (and stays off) every time the Wi-Fi is turned off on the phone.
Is there any way to keep the Developer option for Wireless debugging on?

Unfortunately, the question remains unanswered.
Here's some additional background for those who haven't kept up with the wonderful new changes in Android 11 and above...
[adb, scrcpy, vysor] What ports does Android 12 randomly set when Wi-Fi connecting via Wireless debugging adb "pair" or "connect" commands?
Bear in mind that Android 10 and below allowed wireless adb connections AFTER a USB connection was first established (adb tcpip 5555 && adb connect [IP]:5555), but that changed (for the better) in Android 11 and above with the new new Developer options Wireless debugging random port assignments (adb connect [IP]:[PORT] or adb pair [IP]:[PORT] [PIN]) such that the adb wireless connection never needs USB cable ever again.
Given Android 11 allows Developer options Wireless debugging via a random port, and Android 12 new Developer options Wireless debugging allows that to be accessed even easier with a new Developer options Wireless debugging tile, the only thing missing is a way to KEEP that random port from constantly changing on us.
One way to do that is to keep the Developer options Wireless debugging option turned on, hence the question asked in this thread of...
Is there any way to keep the Developer option for Wireless debugging on (even if the Wi-Fi automatically turns itself off)?

Hi Master ! I want help ! How can I turn on "wireless debugging" by root command without touch screen or usb debug?
I just want my phone turn on the "wireless debugging" after each reboot. I've wrote some cmd in a script file and let it run after system start:
svc wifi disable
sleep 5 # have a wait to ensure wifi is off
svc wifi enable
sleep 5 # have a wait to ensure it connected to PC hotspot
su
setprop service.adb.tcp.port 7777
# setprop persist.adb.tcp.port 7777 # have to try
stop adbd
start adbd
exit
I've tried many times and I'm tried. I found that there is no properties like "wifi_adb" or "debug.adb_wifi" can let me turn on wirelesss debugging switch after reboot. I have to touch it on screen so that I can connect adb over wifi.
is there any method to let the phone auto enable "wireless debugging"(even always enable) after reboot? I have ROOT !!! I SHOULD COUDL DO IT ![cry][cry] [cry] [cry] [cry]

I just have tried commands above and none of them could work. it just changes wifi adb port to what you want but no cmd can enable "wireless debugging" switch under developer options. why there is no properties like "debug.hwui.force_dark" that can be auto enable by "setprop".
even I'm rooted...
