losing cell signal after 11.03 oxygen update - OnePlus Nord N10 5G Questions & Answers

i've had this phone model BE2026 global unlocked from BestBuy for a while now. it worked ok with the android 10 os but after updating to the november 11.03 os my cell signal is sketchy and not able to make or receive phone calls or texts. most of the time if my wifi is on then my radio/cell signal is off and vice versa. i have tried everything to correct this but it seems that the update has created this problem. i can MsM back to version 10 and the phone works fine but not so on this new update. has anyone out there ran into this trouble? any ideas of what i can do to fix this beyond throwing this phone out? fortunately i have a different phone to use for my daily driver but was hoping that this one would work.

I am experiencing the same but with the BE2028. Inbound and outbound calls stop working and I need to restart in order for it to go back to normal. Not even turning airplane mode off and on, turning mobile data off and on, selecting to use 2g/3g/LTE only, messing with the APN manually. Only rebooting fixes it. I am also curious about what exactly is causing it.

Keep losing data connection.

I have an unlocked unrooted S3 on Vodafone UK. This issue has been happening for the last few days whereby i have full 3G/H+ connection, but absolutely no data is working. No email, no websites loading, no whatsapp, nothing. The issue goes away as soon as I restart my phone, but then it comes back after a few hours.
Has anyone experienced this, and if so, how have you fixed it?
Go back to your network/phone provider .
Or flash different modem .

I am having this issue too. I may be wrong, but i realise this happens if i turn off my Wifi, the 3G will not want to connect to the 3G network.. Anyone else having such problem?
By the way mine is International version (Location: Singapore)
I'm having a similar problem where I have a good 3G/H/H+ connection but data seems to drop intermittently across all applications - I get the same sort of error message in browsers/facebook/twitter that you receive when you have no signal.
Anyone have anything similar and know of any fix?
I am not having such issue so far. I been updating my SGS3 using over-the-air update. I guess the MODEM has been updated as well.
Go to market and download "fast dormancy"(by gorkhanmoral) then disable it and reboot.
Check if your speed has improved,if it got worse then enable it again.
U need ROOT to use this tool.
I it didn't help, then flash a different modem
This is good modem
Cwm flashable

have you got any battery saving app like juice defender installed in your phone?
Is mobile data working at all? or is it constantly "uploading" but never "downloading" (up arrow lights but not down).
If what I just described is your issue then this is a network issue relating to android in general.
Basically your phone will be connected to two radio towers and gets confused as to which one it should use, rebooting or flight mode may help force it onto one tower or you may have to speak to your carriers "high network technical team" or whatever they are called for you to get them to force it onto one tower.
I had this issue on the HTC hero (a long time ago now) and it took 9 months for Orange UK to work out what was going on.

Congrats. Orange Luxembourg (my gf's network provider) still hasn't got a clue.. But they seem rather clueless about everything except writing invoices.
Flashing an Asian modem on her S2 made the issue far less prominent since they seem not to get confused by antenna ping-pong. (Tango Luxembourg, my carrier, has this issue too in the main city)

3G sim slot stopped working. Only works on 2G slot.

Hi guys!
Hopefully someone here may be able to help.
Recently got a Honor 7 and has been working great, about two days ago I stopped being able to make calls and use data.
E.G. it recognises that I have an 02 sim, then switches to emergency calls only but wouldn't even let me call 999.
The 2G slot works absolutely fine. I cannot find anything on-line with regards to this issue (no fixes anyway).
Its not a major issue as I can at least still make calls and these days there is WiFi everywhere but wouldn't mind getting my 4G back or at least finding out what has caused this issue.
Would be so grateful if someone could point me in the right direction as I am completely stumped.
Tried a factory reset, no luck. Was thinking of completely re flashing the OS onto the phone and starting from scratch but not entirely sure if its worth it.
Thanks guys!

I have a same problem, but the device work in 3G only... I have tried a lot of things to solve the problem, but no way... For this reason I changed the Honor 7 with the last H7 Premium.

I would definitely be calling your service provider...sounds like tower issues or may even be a faulty or corrupted sim card.

No, unfortunately it is a device problem, Honor service answered me that it is an hardware problem, but I can wait for repair it, so I have got a new H7 Premium and the hold now is the new device of my wife, she doesn't need 4G, by the way if I choose 2/3/4 G the phone if is in 4G often don't have connection, so I put it only in 2/3 G and work fine...
So u got it repaired ?

LG G5 (RS988) loses network connection when placing phone calls, intermittent data

I was a gifted an LG G5 RS988 and successfully unlocked the bootloader using the LG's dev site and installed TWRP 3.2.3. After that, I flashed Revolution Remix 5.8.5 (RR-N-v5.8.5-20171203-rs988-Final.zip from here) and open_gapps-arm64-7.1-micro-20181229, seemingly without issue.
Everything worked flawlessly except the cellular network. It'd show connected to LTE (data even works sometimes when connected), but when trying to place a call, will drop to no service. Incoming calls go to voicemail, showing service or not. Rebooting or selecting "choose automatically" under network operators will usually reconnect to network, but offers no improvement otherwise. Toggling airplane mode sometimes also reconnects, but same symptoms afterwards.
The SIM card works fine in a Zenfone 2, Galaxy S3, and another G5. The problem G5 still behaves the same using another active SIM.
Searching for similar issues, most seem to be due to the phone losing the IMEI while flashing, but *#06# reports the correct IMEI, so I'm not sure that they're relevant.
I tried reflashing stock from the "COMPLETE" 21b ZIP here, but sympyoms persist.
Tried to use LGUP to refurbish the phone with RS98810h_01_0303.kdz from lg-firmwares.com, but once it started flashing the firmware, it reported that the KDZ file doesn't support refurbish mode. Flashing as an upgrade worked, but had the same problems.
Flashing an unofficial build of RR 6.2.1 for the RS988 seemed to be working better. More consistent data, and could actually get calls through sometimes and receive texts, but would still lose service when calling and miss incoming calls.
I'm not sure what to do with it anymore and could really use some help. Thanks in advance!
This is a long shot, but did you ever figure out what was going on with your LG G5? I've got one (also an RS988) running LineageOS 18.1 that's been exhibiting very similar problems for several months. At first I thought it was a failing SIM card, but turned out not to be the case. I've even switched providers in the meantime, but it's still having the same problems. Any ideas?
Hey, I know it's been a bit, but I figured in case you hadn't figured it out I'd let you both know that this is probably because of the 3G network shutdown. You'll have to contact your phone service and see if your phone can use VolTE, and if so, whether or not you need a new sim card to do so.
I got unlucky - my LG G5 H831 is pretty much toast. :/ Under GSMA it could use texting and data only, but when they switched me to GSMT to try and fix the no-calling issue, the texting stopped working too, and now I can only use data. And they can't switch me back to GSMA, because it lists my phone as incompatible, which it technically is.
It's not a huge loss, as I mainly used VoIP services anyway, but it's still unfortunate.
(But the phone still works fine otherwise, and I'm going to continue to use it until it doesn't.)

No Service - All of a sudden - Have to do a SIM swap to get it working again

I have an Samsung S9 Plus that was an AT&T unit (I think) and I flashed it over to the global firmware so I could use it on Visible (Verizon). It has been working for months, but I have now had this problem happen twice. I get up on a Monday, and notice that my phone has no service. I think it says "No Network Connection" or something like that. The first time I tried many of the usual steps - switching airplane mode, resetting network, wiping the cache, long support chats with Visible. What finally got it working again was putting in another sim(from Red Pocket - AT&T). That made the phone go through a reboot to swap over to the new sim. Then I put the old Visible sim back in. The phone does another reboot, and now everything is working again.
Is there a way that I can get the phone to go through this process without swapping the sims? I would just like to know if there is a more efficient way of fixing this problem when it pops up.

Call your carrier and have them to a reprovision. I had this happen with T-mobile coming from Sprint.. They will have you turn off the phone, do something on their end, and after that it should work.
Just to update, I have switched over to ATT Prepaid. Since the change, I have not had the problem happen. I think it must have been an issue with Red Pocket. Either that or something that got fixed with an update. Just putting these data points out there for anyone else that is having issues like this.

Here's a fun one - Lost VOLTE and Wifi calling options

So first off, my wife and I have US998 phones using TING (A t-mobile MVNO). I was running PIE on both with no issues but about the same time we moved across the country (back in March) to the Dallas area I noticed some phone calls weren't getting through to us, and texts were often delayed significantly, sometimes requiring us to toggle AIRPLANE MODE on and off for them to come through.
After talking with some of the best support guys TING had to offer we eventually figured out it was because PIE on this phone doesn't support t-mobile VOLTE so I "downgraded" back to OREO and everything has been working fine ever since.
Fast forward to last week. I switched to TING's new "Flex Plan" and they sent me a new SIM card... the "X3" model to replace the "X1" sim I had previously. They ported me over to the new sim card and I swapped it out and everything seemed fine... until a few days later when I realized I wasn't getting texts properly. Upon further evaluation I realized that I had lost my VOLTE and WI-FI options on my phone, even though Wifi calling is enabled on their end.
To verify I turned off wifi and made a phone call, and my data connection indicator dropped from LTE to 3G during the call.
I even checked to make sure and yes I'm still on OREO.. nothing got updated on me.. It's a stock rom (although rooted) and it's reporting Software version US99820h.
So what gives? Any ideas?
