Question Canadian A52 5G SM-526W Call recording CSC - Samsung Galaxy A52 5G

Hi,
I'm able to flash the Canadian A52 5G SM-526W with the stock firmware successfully using Odin both the complete firmware and just the CSC.
I tried to flash with SM-A526B, SM-A525M, SM-A525F unsuccessfully, it fails every time for the complete firmware or just the CSC.
Can anyone direct me to which firmware I can flash to this phone to activate the built in call recorder?
Thanks!

Indian/INS firmware should likely have it, but don't flash A525 firmware on the A526, you'll have problems.

I did try flashing with the A525 firmware but it just fails.
How can I use the Indian/INS firmware to add call recording to my phone? I tried to use just the CSC file with Odin from A525 firmware and that failed too.

You could try using the XSG (United Emirates Arab) firmware. I have it on my J7 Pro and it has the call recording function, not sure if it is the same for the A52 5G.
I'd suggest you flash the original firmware that came with your device first, then only flashing the CSC from the XSG firmware to see if you get call recording.
And use Frija to get the firmware, just go into its settings and turn on "Binary Nature" option for it to download the 5 part firmware instead of the 1 part firmware.

Sorry my bad, I didn't know there was a SM-A526W for the Canadian market only. I was thinking that your's was a SM-A526B, which is the international version. I don't know if the A526W will accept the A526B firmware, it might work or it might brick your phone.

Thanks for the help, it wouldn't accept the CSC from the SM-A526B firmware or the entire firmware already tried that. Any other suggestion?

Then no, you're pretty much stuck. I don't know whether any of the other Canadian firmwares have call recording enabled.

None of the Canadian firmware's have call recording and I have tried a number of different CSC using the *#272*IMEI# method which are available in the firmware. Guess its a no go

W models can typically only flash W U and U1 firmware

It will only flash W firmware which I have done several times, but it will not flash U firmware or even U firmware CSC file

maybe if you posted the error you receive in patched odinas wellas the error it shows on device screen when it fails then we can help u

for example, if it gives a sha hash error or something its bcuz u arent using modified odin which is needed to flash u or u firmware to your w model and if it gives some error like sw rev check fail its because youre trying to downgrade and need a firmware with the same rev

Here are the pictures I blocked out the DID number

Was looking through the forums and would using a Thailand SIM change the CSC so I could have call recording?

Your SIM card does not set or change CSC.

I was reading this thread:

Could I try the same?

Need help debranding LG Uplus(LUC) to (KOO)

Hi, I just got Galaxy S9+ and it is bloated with LG Uplus menu and apps. Model version is SM-G965N and when i look for firmware in Sammobile only few firmwares are shown. (KOO, LUC, SKC, KTC)
Can I download KOO firmware and flash with Odin to get rid of carrier bloats and return to stock?
I heard that S9 and S9+ have some problems changing CSC. But if i flash like this, would it be considered changing CSC. Would it work to flash with odin like this?
Is there anyone who knows answer to this?
I also want to do the same thing on my s9 plus. can anyone help please ... thanks

just so i have this straight, youre using a Samsung S9+ on a LG cellular service? thats awesome!! the 965N has the Exynos processor, to the best of my recollection, and you can verify this by installing CPU-Z. If it is, you should be able to flash the G965F firmware on it. I have a S9 that i got from Cricket and installed the G960U firmware on it, debranding it and im satisfied with the result. You will likely need the patched version of Odin in order to flash any firmware on it to debrand it. Verify the processor via CPU-Z and we can go from there

You can flash a different CSC firmware as they're all OXM. I have yet to see a region that isn't OXM for this device, but you should check it just in case.
I own a TGY device myself, but have since then switched to a different region as TGY tends to be on the slow side of getting updates.
Obtain the latest firmware using Frija and flash it with Odin and it should work. Just be sure you flash HOME_CSC so you can keep your data.
Thanks for the reply.
Any luck with that?
On my s7 wifi tab it doesn't change and i've tried multiple firmwares .. .

I'm having the exact same issue. I want to change the CSC from ARO (Argentina) to KOO (Korea)
I've tried SamFW FRP Tool and I get:
Code:
Checking ADB connection...
Using port SAMSUNG Mobile USB Modem (COM3)
Enabling ADB... FAIL
Changing CSC to KOO ... FAIL
Rebooting... OK
On Odin everything seems to be ok but once it's finished I check the CSC on SamFW FRP and it still shows CSC: ARO.
And on Software Information (on the tablet), it shows OXM_ARO as well. This is extra weird because the update itself installs just fine. But the CSC region won't change.
Any hep is appreciated.
PS
I have yet to see a region that isn't OXM

The only Non-OXM firmware is the chinese one.
EDIT: Just tried the Google Phone Go apk + *#*#27262826#*#* method. Doesn't work either.

Question Change CSC via ADB

any ideas to change CSC with ADB
I would think. That if you loaded up recovery, and then switched to the side load mode.
That you would be able to flash an official stock CSC file from a different 4-File/5-File repair package of another build. As long as as that CSC File matched the BL's software revision fuse.
Generally speaking, Samsung Devices have been "World Modem" compatible since the Galaxy S7. So carrier firmware is interchangable on the same SoC.
And if flashing the CSC alone does not work Try using the UserData.img as well
If all else fails just install the U1 FW, or whole 5-File Repair package from another carrier that matches your device's BL Revision.
This hasn't failed since maybe 2015.

Can you give me your model number real quick to see if I can't find you a link?
This is what I found first off: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...sc-firmware-need-to-be-on-one-ui-2-5.4182989/
Not sure of it's usefulness on your device but sounds like it.
Otherwise. Find the U1/XAA fw for your BL Revision and flash it with Odin.
It should then be compatible with ALL CSC CODES.

You dont have to change the CSC, just flash an unbranded EUX rom.
DTM is, where the phone was activated, if i remember it right.
If i flash a orignal EUX Firmware.
I still have waranty and the status is official ?
Should i go with Odin ?

Use this tool to get your phone's supported CSC list (under ADB commands tab). Then in the main tab you can change your CSC.
Takes seconds, for me no data was wiped and OTAs work perfectly. Changed on both my S22+ and my Tab S8+.
Is your phone SM-906U1 ?
From which csc to which csc did you change?

Why do you change CSC from XXV to ILO ? what are the benefits ?
I have same model SM-906E XXV/XXV
Does it allow showing "EOM Unlock" option in Developer mode for BL unlock?
(OXM) firmware => Multi-CSC

I bought my phone in Vietnam, but live in Israel and preferred to have my local CSC. I don't know if I could use VoLTE or WiFi Calling without changing it.
And yes OEM Unlock is an option for me under Developer Options.
Since different people are asking different questions, let me post what I know and can help you.
1. You are trying to change CSC from A to B which belongs to same model, can be easily done using SamFW tool or you can also try Samsung shell exploit from S22 forums.
2. U to U1 can be cross flashed using patched odin, which will change csc too.
3. If you are trying to do cross flashing means your model no doesn't match the model no of CSC you want to have like XAA to INS then sorry it's not possible.

Question S23 Ultra Change CSC

Hi there,
I have newly bought a S23 Ultra SM-918N model from South Korea. I live in Turkey and want to change to SM-918B model firmware because there is no Turkish option during setup. Changing on andorid settings will remain some English apps. Is that possible without unlocking the phone via Odin?
When I try to flash SM-918B stock rom via Odin, with Re-partition option is unselected, it gives PIT error and FAIL to flash. Is there a way to change the firmware from SM-918N to SM-918B any European one CSC?
Thank you.

I thought that they are theoretically same hardware so that it should work. So you say that even I change the pit file on Odin or any other program, I cannot flash SM-918B firmware to my SM-918N device

Chances are if you mess with the PIT you'll brick your phone & it will be a JTAG job. How badly do you want to brick your new toy ? ;-)
You tried to flash, it failed. Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying.
its the same when i had a s22 ultra from china it looks like the phones from china or korea are software locked or something nothing would work to change the os from another region couldnt even use some of the secret menu codes to change the bands
