drivers for windows 8 dp

Hi guys, i'm trying to re-root my phone (had to take it in for service so i had to unroot it and all that jazz), but i can't get a correct adb driver. i searched everywhere and all i could find were drivers for windows 7, but i am running the new windows 8 developer preview and I cant find the drivers for "Motorola ADB Interface"
I installed the android SDK and used the google drivers but it didnt work, and i downloaded and installed the motorola driver database thing, but it doesnt work with the new windows and halfway through it says "Installer does not recognize your version of windows"
does anybody have a .inf or .ini file that i can direct the device manager to that is specifically for the atrix. I cant find anything anywhere or know where i can get one?
thanks
anybody? at all
You are using an as yet unreleased operating system. If you want stuff to work, go back to a previously released version like Windows 7.

Looking for Nokia Xpress 1.7.0.1043 for Windows Phone 8.1

Hi everyone,
I'd like to use Nokia Xpress 1.7.0.1043 browser on an old WP8.1 Lumia but it's not available from the store anymore. I found a direct download link for the store app but it won't sideload because it's no longer supported (why do companies remove apps they don't support rather than just leave them there with a message saying "no longer supported, no more updates"?!)
So, first question, does anyone know how to sideload store apps that are no longer supported? Do I have to interop-unlock the phone or something like that?
Alternatively, if anyone has the unencrypted files in a XAP then please can they share it? I found Opera Mini here on the forums and deployed it successfully.
All help much appreciated.
Cheers
Change rar to xap, copy to phone, click on it.
Disable data restriction, surf on web
Thanks for the file. I did as you suggested, but it wouldn't sideload. I also tried deploying it with the VS2015 WP8.1 SDK app deployment tool but got error 0x810301B. I'm a bit stuck but will try a few other things, any suggestions much appreciated.
Cheers
Dont sideload, y already tell. Copy to phone and click on it. Im mad....
I thought that copying to the phone was sideloading. Anyway, I did that and it tells me that there is a problem with my company app and it can't be installed, same the Opera Mini XAP I got from here did. So I tried to deploy it, which worked for Opera Mini, but didn't work for Nokia Xpress.
Unfortunately the phone froze a short time later, wouldn't recover after soft reset and is now bricked and only shows as QHSUSB_DLOAD in device manager. I guess I need to use Thor2 to recover it (since WDRT no longer supports older Lumias!).
How old? My lumia 530 is suported.
Ok, here is the app to sideload from PC. Delete rar extension.

The 530 is supported. I've got a 925 which is unfortunately (and bizarrely) not supported. There's no published list but if you load the tool, say your device cannot be detected then you get the list to select from. It supports the 1520 and later, excluding the 2520 or 525. Basically, the 525, 2520 and anything earlier than the 1520 are NOT supported, which unfortunately includes the 925.
So the app you put up is to copy from the PC to the phone then open with "install local apps" in the store, or to deploy with the SDK application deployment tool?
Thanks.
Deploy .

Running Whatsapp on Windows Phone 8.1 (Lumia 640)

After ending support for whatsapp on Windows Phone.
I search for a method to run it despite that, with installing a mod version or something ?
Or a method to convert the windows phone OS to android ?

barcode scanner

If like me you think that you can still find a use for your old Windows phone....
Here is a simple application to scan a 1D codabar and send the result to a server (HTTP POST message).
Requires a Windows Phone 8.1 device.

Question Run Windows 11 on unsupported CPU

Hi all! My PC has Intel i7-7700k that is not supported to run windows 11 according to their list. Is it possible install and use it without bugs or it's better to upgrade my system now to new CPU?
FYI:
How to install Windows 11 on unsupported hardware - Pureinfotech
To install Windows 11 22H2 on unsupported hardware, use the Registry workaround with a USB or ISO file, or use the Microsoft workaround.

Yes ,it`s possible to install Win 11, although it comes without warranty that it`ll work flawlessly. Exotic hardware components may lack driver support.

My Sager NP9876 gaming laptop (which I bought in 2017) has an i7-7700K, it's running Windows 11 right now, and quite smoothly too. All my Win10 drivers installed fine on 11, including the Intel chipset driver (which directly interfaces with the CPU and other critical components). But @chrysopra is right, no compatibility/support guarantees. Try 11 first, do a clean install (not upgrade install). If it doesn't run good, you may need a newer CPU.
It's never required to upgrade CPU.
There is a Microsoft-approved hack that should instantly allow you to install Windows 11 on an unsupported processor:
Bypass the CPU check by editing the Windows Registry
Example of an according .REG file
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\PCHC]
"UpgradeEligibility"=dword:00000001
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup\LabConfig]
"BypassCPUCheck"=dword:00000001

and reboot PC afterwards.
Or - much easier and less risky IMO -
Pass related configuration params to Setup.exe

Thank you, installed fresh eleven and testing it now.
just Google for Windows 11 22H2 RUFUS .. the ISO burning method is far much easier for CLEAN install rather than tweaking REGISTRY
Here’s the whole process from start to finish in three easy steps.
1) Download the Windows 11 ISO
2) Edit the Windows Registry to bypass the CPU check
3) Open the ISO in Windows Explorer and launch setup
Hope You Find This Useful,
Peter
