Question Trying to flash MetroPCS A52 5G model with the US unlocked firmwire to remove carrier bloat! - Samsung Galaxy A52 5G

Hi can someone tell me if it is possible to flash the unlocked version of the firmwire on the MetroPCS A52 to get rid of all the carrier bloat? The phone is not unlocked so want to make sure doing so wont take away the ability to automatically unlock it after 6 months!

[Q] t mobile gs5 rooted and unlocked, will stock rom remove carrier unlocked

hey everyone, I don't post much but I read a lot and I appreciate everyone's work. I have a quick question regarding my tmobile galaxy s5. I bought it and unlocked it to use on AT&T because it has the unlocked bootloader. I installed twirp, remove some bloatware, and it's been great. I want to remove twirp but I believe that flashing the stock rom is the only option. Is this true? I have the stock image and can flash it via Odin I'm just curious as to whether it will remove the carrier unlock. of course I paid for the unlock code and I don't want to do it again. I would like to sell this phone with it being unlocked because that widens the market. so does anyone know how I can unroot this phone other than flashing the stock image, and if that's the only way after I do it will the carrier unlock still be there?
Galaxy s5
Galaxy tab pro 8.4
You will keep the unlock. You can easily find the stock recovery files as well. That way you don't lose all of your stuff with a full Odin flash.

Rooted & unlocked question

I'm selling my Sprint Note 3 that I had rooted before the lollipop upgrade. Since then I put a lollipop rom on it.
Two stupid noobie questions that I couldn't find answers to when I searched ..
1. Since I'm rooted am I also unlocked ... can he use an att Sim card and use it on att?
2. Do I need a specific rom that would make this possible ... or is there a way to test it to prove to him that it works?
Thanks for the answers.
Just FYI... There's a difference between unlocked carrier and unlocked boot loader.
You do not need a custom ROM to use another Sim card, but you need to unlock the carrier on the phone
Sent from my Nexus 9 using XDA Free mobile app
Is there a way to tell if I did a carrier unlock? I don't really even remember what method I used to root it.
You unlock the boot loader to flash a custom rom?
To sim unlock you would have had to run SSU.app or GT.app to international unlock then odined a older radio mj4 or mi3. Then change the APNs to match the carrier's settings for internet and mms messages.
I called sprint and got the master unlock codes ... is there an easy way to unlock it now that I have those?

can installing stock rom in an unlocked phone lock it again

..I was already told by a friend in xda group that if I again flash a stock rom in my sm-900p phone which I got unlocked for international GSM use (using from India) , it won't get locked again ...with all due respect to the friend who affirmed me already that it won't get locked ,can anyone else confirm that to me please ? I am not able to dare to flash the stock rom....since two days I am just waiting to take that step..presently I am using darkwolf rom but I want to flash with stock rom so that bootloader and modem gets updated and then on that version,I will flash this rom again ..that's my plan
It will not relock for international use. If it does for some reason, you can use Galaxy Tools to unlock again, assuming you root. But if it was originally unlocked either officially with Sprint or via root + Galaxy Tools, then it won't relock. If you were in the US, you would have to change some other settings to re-enable domestic unlock but international sticks.

Questions before purchase

I am contemplating buying a used LGV30 H931 AT&T phone for use on Cricket to replace my Huawei Honor 8. What does flashing to the unlocked firmware get me other than sim unlocking the phone? Does it get rid of the AT&T bloat? (99% sure it will.) Will it continue to get updates? Will they be the AT&T updates or the unlocked updates? (My guess is if it does they should be the unlocked variants updates.) If just cross-flash without rooting, will it pass safetynet?
Thanks for your answers. I have had multiple devices I have rooted and ROMed but I have had little success flashing another variants firmware on my Honor 8. Not sure if it is worth the hassle or if I should just leave the stock AT&T firmware on the phone.
Im pretty sure you have answered the questions in your research. flashing unlocked firmware allows you to unlock the bootloader. my gut says safetynet wont be a worry for cross-flash. US998 updates. no bloat but there is still the LG bloat and I remember in the past reading up that non-carrier phones auto downloads the carrier's bloat. I dont personally stay unrooted.
The biggest benefit is getting the carrier logo out of the notification bar - lol

question about unlocked status/flashing ability

i posted this in the s9 forum by mistake. i'm actually looking at a + so i'm reposting here in hopes someone can fill in the blanks.
I'm looking to get an s9+, i know verizon will have theirs locked down
i see an "unlocked" version on amazon
SM-G965U1 is the model
is this just carrier unlocked or boot loader unlocked? can i flash kernel and custom roms with this model? if not, which model that will work with vzw should i get that can do that?
Thanks!!
U1 is just carrier unlocked. You could get exynos if you want to do all that, should be vzw compatible.
