Question Is the pixel 6's dotted animation normal? - Google Pixel 6

As the title said is this normal, I'm really not familiar with how pixel handles animation but refer to the video attached, this is also happening inside the settings when I tap something from there. Thanks! this is my 2nd Pixel Device and I don't know if it's really made like that or just an android 12 thing I just want to be sure. Thank you!
Pixel 6 Animation Video.

Lol, just the new charge animation. Very normal. I'm glad I got here first.

Thanks man, I'm just wondering as I'm also seeing this on settings animation and I'm not used to it so my first thought is something is off.

It's normal but I feel you it's really really ugly and it feels like something is buggy

Thanks for the response that's what I thought first haha that it's a bug from A12 then a new update came it's still there my 2nd thought that it's the fault of my oled panel but knowing it's normal, I can finally find peace hahaha. Pixel devices are not really available here in my country so warranty is very limited that's why I'm really keen on finding something bad about my unit so that It can get replace quickly before the personal warranty given expires but so far my unit is flawless and the worst case I thought as a problem is this animation

You will see several other flaws with the screen but this is also normal unfortunately.. Like a rainbow effect on the white colors depending on the viewing angle, and a green tint on the grays..
This Oled panel is not that good tbh, it's better on the pro version

[Screen Issue] Much Brighter Near the Notification

As shown in Snaps below the notification area has brighter screen than the entire screen , is it normal? Do you guys have the same situation ? If not i might just go to my nearest Samsung store.
And yeah btw its not any "ROM" or software issue, which is obvious.

This can be easily seen with white background and lowest brightness.
It can be seen clearly in 3rd image, screen burning issue?

how long have you had it? i read that due to the different speed at which the different colors of the oled screen age that might happen because that upper part is usually always dark because of the notification bar

Hmmm Yeah, lets see what Samsung has to say about it.
Mines the same, 8 months old. Its because that part of the screen is usually black because of the notification bar. so the oleds arent used very much, and when they are, they are in better condition than the rest of the screen.

Improve Screen - HTC Flyer

Hello,
I have a best buy Wifi Flyer. The screen has a yellow tint on it. Super annoying and noticeable when you open the keyboard and compare to my Desire HD. Also noticeable when I go to google.com
To fix this I downloaded screen adjuster and set blue to 10, all others to zero.
Thats the setting I use, if anyone finds something better, let me know!
Don't know of anyone else that ever had this problem , but thanks for the info.

Yea, I don't know many ppl who have mentioned this. Hmm... I wonder if there are two diff screen manufactures for the Flyer like the Sensation :\
See the following for other references to yellow tint:

The Video demonstrates the screens yellow tint. Very noticeable on the few flyers I have used/seen. Very annoying too...
Any how, will report back.

I have had that same yellow tint, but sort of got used to it. Seems like a lot of people don't mind it because it isn't necessarily a defect, just that the default settings are a more "warm" temperature as opposed to "cool". I think it is just a preference thing, but thanks for the info! I downloaded it, but can't get it to correct perfectly. And I need to set blue closer to +20 in order to get near the coloring of my macbook pro screen.

S9+ screen burn in after 4 days

Hi there. Long story short I've already encounter a "mild" screen burn in on my brand new S9+ I receied last Friday. I say it's mild cause it dissapears after few moments but I'm not happy with that on almost £900 phone. Basically when I use AOD in blue and unlock the device I can see a ghost of the clock burned into my home screen. I reckon it's because it does not moe as much as it used to on my S8. Im attaching a short video but its hard to see in on there. And funny enough all it takes is few minutes for it to show up. Does anyone seen something like that before? My only concern is that if it's doing it already after few days how bad will it be few months in? I've contacted O2 to get it replaced but I hope my next one will be ok.

In my experience, screen "burn in" doesn't go away after a few moments. So if it does, then it's not really burned in, and isn't really screen burn in, yet.

That's why I've called it "mild" burn in. I know it doesn't go away cause I've had it on my previous Galaxy phones near the end of first year. This one does kinda ghost behind. I'm having a door swap this morning so hopefully it was just a case of bad batch. Also I managed to get a better video of what is occuring to my device if anyone is interested

Do you also use AOD? If so hopefully mine was just a bad one-off. The thing is, only few minutes are enough to make it seen. First time I wasn't even looking for it, phone was not moved for about an hour and then when I unlocked it it was pretty much black on white, that bad. A lot worse than on that video. Hope Samsung will notice the problem and make some adjustment to how AOD clock moves around cause it's moving nowhere as much as it did on my S8

This is why I very much dislike AMOLED. Sure, it looks pretty but you have to watch what you display, how long you display it, and the brightness of your screen. The Nexus 6 burned in on me in less than a week and that was the last AMOLED device I owned.
I've been debating on trying the S9+, mostly because it's almost impossible to find a decent device without AMOLED these days. Same with glass builds. Yeah, they look nice but they're fragile and prone to scratching.
Seems like everyone jumped on the AMOLED bandwagon and now the glass build bandwagon. It's looking like the notch is next.
ive read OLED screen will have a tendency "burn in" pixels that are always on. need to keep things moving.

Rule #1 never use white **** on AOD
Rule #2 never use white widget
Rule #3 Use Dark theme
im out
Speaking of dark themes are they ever going to have an entire black scheme, system-wide?
I can understand having white themes for LCD devices but I really miss the system color schemes of the jellybean days.
When the S5 came out, for example, the dialer was so damn bright you could use it for a torch! (flashlight)
Ridiculous.
It.Needs.To.Stop.Now
Also, burn in and persistence are different. With the former being permanent and latter temporary.
Hopefully it's not permanent.
I usually disable AOD anyhow.
It's really dim but I feel safer with it gone.

AOD has been designed to keep shifting the content on screen so that burn-in doesn't happen. Not sure if anyone has noticed but I have noticed it on S7E and S8 so far.

Pocophone without light bleed pics?

Since day one I never noticed this issue, and I'm quite a picky guy. Now, after seeing all the problems related to this amongst other users I cannot really be sure, maybe it's just my imagination. Since I have to try so hard and stare at the phone without any permanent conclusion I guess it's pretty satisfactory for me. I feels sorry for other users with this problem, unfortunately Xiaomi will not replace all faulty units. At least they will hopefully notice this issues for future reference. I already posted my thoughts about Poco under "overall love".....maybe you would agree with me on that one.

Display woes

So i swapped my first device kinda wish i hadent as the screen was great.
New device has green tint anything below 10% (this i can just about live with as i just raise brightness). However i recently noticed in direct sunlight yesterday that i can barely see screen and it tints purple (yes i have adaptive brightness on)
Now something really strange in bright sunlight when a shadow casts across a white screen , the shadow against screen is green has anyone else noticed this ......?
.
hard to capture properly as spare phone is an old iphone but the green shadow is from my hand which can be observed above , also notice how the white tints to purple.

Well the green tint below 10% i don't experience with my phone.
The other notion/complaint, is just natural properties of an OLED panel, all my previous phones had the purple in sunlight tint.
probably the brighter sunlight reflecting in one of the physical layers of the panel. Nothing you can get rid off unless you want LCD.

Look, the picture you took in sunlight is normal behavior and physics.
The low light low brightness pictures are indeed not normal, indeed should be exchanged for another device!

Just got new phone July batch , first impressions are a lot less green tint ..... thank god June panel was a joke July panel I think its still there just a lot less this time ... will see later this evening and post picture back.
black bar across top i can see but not to bothered about this in all honesty.
Colours have to admit whites are cleaner as a result but rest look to be calibrated identical to last panel.
I think my first panel dated May was the best colours just seemed to wow instantly , everyone who saw phone commented on display in a positive manner.

Might that be because your device is prior to May on build?
I think it’s pointless replacing now I’ve had three models and it seems inherent now from my own experiences.
Do you use dark mode?
Sorry for the questions just trying to get some feedback
I’m only speculating but my latest device also has it my only device which didn’t have it was built in May , I’m wondering if the early batches had good panels for reviews etc and they cheaped out after that to bring production costs down (speculation as I say) but seen this before with other companies.
One thing I’ve noticed on my latest device is it goes a lot brighter than my previous June model. I’m thinking if I want to keep this device, I’m going to have use light mode which is a shame, if we had root we could just black out all the grey parts like status bar notifications etc and mask issue.

yep, seems so.. a lottery
the thing is that I can see this issue only at very low brightness, somewhere below ~15%
and in everyday use the display is perfect (I anyway always use light theme)
but then again it bothers me knowing it is there
on the fence now:
send the Oppo back (already have return label) and try luck again with OP8 Pro (order placed, should be dispatched tomorrow; I sent back my first OP 8 for a refund due to same display issues)
or just live with it, keep Oppo and cancel OP 8 order...
