Question Process to install custom ROM? - Xiaomi Mi 11i / 11X Pro / Redmi K40 Pro+

I really dislike MIUI and want to add an unofficial LineageOS build. However tutorials are outdated, and following this tutorial broke my system and I had to re-flash:
Now I ask for information to learn how one should properly install any unofficial ROM, what are the things to do and what do I need to use. I have unlocked bootloader but I don't know anything more.
So if someone can instruct me on the needed and the steps I am thankful.

Official Pixel Experience A12 Custom Rom For Xiaomi Redmi K40 Pro / Pro+ / Mi 11X Pro / Mi 11i is Available On Pixel Experience Official Website.Steps are also mentioned by developer but its bit tricky so carefully follow steps and dont miss any step…i also flashed few minutes ago…Testing Now

Thanks.
I am interested in LineageOS since I don't like PE much. The installation seems complicated and confuse and the guides vary. You can see the linked one forced me to flash MIUI.
So, do you know how to do this woth LineageOS? PE can't be the same since their recovery is needed.

Redmi Note 3 Pro (starting from stock device with Miui to custom world)

Hi all.
I'm about to buy Redmi Note 3 Pro for my wife.
I'm Samsung user and I know alot about flashing Samsung but with Xiaomi I'm newbie.
I would like to put stock Android on it so CM13 seems the best to me.
Can someone provide me with links with instructions what to do to flash CM13 or maybe some other more stable rom. I need step by step instructions for starting from stock device with Miui, unlocking bootloader, flashing recovery, etc.
Thanks.

It's simple: unlock bootloader, install Alka twrp, backup your EFS, flash cm13, reboot.
But flashing cm13 may not be the best idea with new Kenzo device, as fingerprint scanner may not be working (Radio.zio may solve this problem).
Now all you have to do is read about those steps.
Sent from Note 3, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3.
FP is working on CM 13 nightly. Go for it if u want to and dont forget to get latest gapps
Sent from my Redmi Note 3 using Tapatalk
Is the FP only issue with CM13 or are there any other issues? Maybe recommendation for some other more stable rom. It is not for me so it must be stable like stock.

Move to xiaomi.eu rom for K20 Pro to MI 9T Pro rom

Hi,
I have a chinese K20 Pro and actually I installed Xiaomi.eu K20 Pro rom.
It's possible move from this rom to a stable Global Rom for MI 9T Pro rom?
What are the steps?
Thank you.
in theory it should work... just flash EU/global ROM trough TWRP. but i haven't tried it yet since my bootloader is still locked :/. let me know if it works, curious to know.
If recovery stops working (which i doubt) you can always flash the fastboot ROM trough miFlashtool (just make sure you dont lock the bootloader ).

Need a Custom Rom for Redmi 8a

Hi Guys
I`m new here on xda developers so please forgivemy mistakes.
Currently I have a Xiaomi Redmi 8a and i would like to flash a custom rom but I just can`t find any.
I also tried porting Lineage OS from the 7a to the 8a but I ran into a lot of issues.
My Question is:
Are there any custom roms for my device that I could flash?
Porting a rom from Redmi 7a to 8a would be easy for someone with experience since they almost have the exact same specs but I am unable to do that.
Thanks

Yes . Havoc os the best rom . https://sourceforge.net/projects/ex...oc-OS-v3.1-20200112-A64AB-GSI.img.xz/download instruction https://forum.xda-developers.com/xi...de-how-to-install-magisk-miui-how-to-t4030175
Sorry for my bad english. I am not literate and in Russian )))
If you don't mind that there're some missing device features like d2tw... You can use GSI roms, i have writen a guide for it. And if you find that difficult to use without those features, just wait and someone may build a device spectific rom.
But you may notice that there is no custom rom, except Mokee for Redmi 7A. They tend to use GSIs than build a rom -)))))))
Hey guys
Any anyone please check this custom ROM?
This is not a GSI it's a custom ROM. Found it in teligram group.

Is it worth installing Pixel Experience on a Xiaomi Mi A3's Android One? difference?

I purchased the Xiaomi Mi A3 Android One phone, and I was wondering if Android One and Pixel Experience ROM are different enough to be worth rooting and installing the custom ROM Pixel Experience. Or are Android One and Pixel Experience the same or so similar that there would not be much benefit to getting the Pixel Experience.
Also, can someone point me to an authoritative Mi A3 Rooting and TWRP installation guide. I can't find reliable ones on my google search.
Have you rooted your Mi A3, if so, which guide did you use and how well did it work?
Thank you.

Currently no. Because there is no working TWRP for K40 Pro.
You can get around flashing without TWRP, but the issue is, it's a whole lot of work to make a kernel on A11 shipped devices with the GTK 1.0 and GTK 2.0 devices, which must launch an Android Common Kernel and store drivers in a separate partition, loaded after the first boot process of the generic implementation. Plus the 888 people don't really want to support (it's kind of a portable oven, throttles like crazy, and just isn't a good example of a Qualcomm product). Sorry to disappoint. I sold my K40 Pro Plus for these reasons. Only OnePlus 9 Pro seems to have custom kernels and ROMs, unfortunately. So I also talked to the dev that built the first custom kernel on that device; he said it took 3 months to inline all the drivers and make them functional (that's what you have to do on the new Google format), and honestly, most devs don't want to spend that kind of time on a kernel (hey, most of us have jobs).
