Question FIXED: Wi-Fi and Bluetooth don't work after flashing vbmeta and boot downloaded from XDA - OnePlus Nord 2 5G

Hello everybody! I flashed the vbmeta and boot downloaded from one of the threads here. After starting the phone back up, everything worked well, the phone was rooted, camera worked, mobile data worked, but I can not connect to Wi-Fi and I cannot use Bluetooth.
I did not flash anything besides the vbmeta and boot. My goal would be too restore wifi and bluetooth and give up on rooting. I did not make any backups as I did not know why. I did not flash TWRP. I'm on oxygenOS version 11.3 and Android 11.
Could anyone please help me?

As far as i know, the bluetooth+wifi modules are related to the nvdata partition.
For example, I can personally confirm that the camera+fingerprint are related to persist.img, which contains unique sensor calibration data unique to each and every device.
I can only imagine nvdata might work the same. If you backed up your nvdata image from before your root proces, try flashing the nvdata partition back and troubleshoot from there. I don't know anything else on the issue as I've never experienced it myself.
Goodluck.

As I said, I only overwrote boot.img and vbmeta.. Could that cause the issue? (btw I didn't make a backup)

I managed to relock the bootloader normally but I still have no wifi

FIXED: For anyone who's having the same issue, the solution was to flash the boot.img FOR your system version. You find your version in the settings when you click on the version in the info tab.

Hook me up with a DN2103_11_A.15 boot image!

Hey, where can I find the boot.img for DN2103_11_A.16? Please help me!

BlackView BV9900 Pro in bootloop after a Magisk module, need help with backup

Hi there,
I have recently installed a Magisk Module on my successfully rooted phone that so far didn't display any problems until I enabled said module (this one: Pix3lify, sorry can't post links)
Now it's stuck in a bootloop and I dont know how to recover my data from this position. I do know how to reinstall the stock rom and re-root just fine, I dont need help with recovery. What I do really wish is to backup some files from the user data partition.
I don't know how to do this as I never been in this position and before I spend all day trying to recover it I was wondering if you guys maybe know a way to do it, if possible at all.
I have access to:
- Fastboot
- Recovery (the BlackView Recovery ROM, no TWRP, couldn't find an image that runs. However, I do have access to `fastboot boot` to flash any image)
- SP Flash tools
As is expected, the device is rooted and the bootloader is unlocked. I just want my data if it's possible. If not, I'll just recover using the method that will remove all data, sadly...
Thanks in advance!
EDIT: I decided to swallow my loss and install the stock rom since nobody replied yet, however, I did make a full backup of my ROM (especially userdata) and I now can see the filesystem inside WWR_MTK, but I can't read /data because it's encrypted (but I know the password) my new question therefore is if i can open up this image still. Thanks in advance!

"Medium" bricked mido with damaged persist, kernel and maybe modem images[?] (and others)

Problem (symptomatic): Phone doesn't start, always boots into bootloader. Have to go into recovery (OrangeFox), flash an OS every time - only Lineage OS 17.1 and RR Pie start up. Logs into the introduction screen. Wi-Fi, hotspot, mobile data - nothing works - freezes UI. When I try rebooting the installed OS, Lineage OS and RR P both load for some(really-long)time and finally boot into recovery. Tried flashing RR Q - booted into introduction screen, then immediately shut off with the obvious text "Shutting Off".
Device: Redmi Note 4 MediaTek (mido) 2GB 32GB.
Investigation: I think whatever is happening is because of one (or more) of the following reasons -
I tried flashing Ethereal kernel (Ethereal-Clang12-Mido-20210102.zip) into the stock from TWRP Install. When it didn't work (or did, Idk) I actually flashed it two more times. I was trying to install RR Q initially, and it kept saying something like treble-version-incompatible.
Looking up, they said updating TWRP works. So I tried updating to 3.5.0_9-0 from 3.3.1.0. Idk if this is an unstable version but it asked for a password. I tried all passwords suggested on XDA, didn't work. I don't have encryption on my device and 3.3.1 never asked for a password. I finally decided to do a full wipe. Don't remember correctly but I think this is where from it just went downhill.
Installed RR Pie, wireless services (modem?) wouldn't work. Tried fixing kernel by installing boot.img from recovery. Wouldn't work. So now I decided to flash kernel into the boot partition from Fastboot using fastboot flash boot Ethereal-Clang12-Mido-20210102.zip.
Nothing worked anymore and I installed OrangeFox which is better but of no avail to my problems. To further understand my issues, I fastbooted and force wrote the boot.img from RR Q into my persist (a partition?) Yeah. I know. What can I say, I was just possessed by madness.
Now my persist is damaged.
I don't remember correctly, but if mobile data and those network thingies don't work, I'd assume I also tried flashing something incorrect into the modem image partitons...
What I tried doing:
Flashing boot.img of RR Q to fix kernel.
Flash multiple kernels on the inernet.
I think none of these work because these installs are supposed to be conducted as extensions or upgrades over the base framework. Which is gone I think?
So here's my remnant solution strategy:
I replace all of the files and directories in my / folder (the folder accessible only to the device; the base folder of a Linux system) with whatever came initially from some similar device.
I try option #1.
I honestly don't know what to do. If I copy all of the files in the / folder from some other similar mido phone using a recovery tool and paste it on mine:
Can I even do that?
Here's a logical deduction: while the recovery app works, some files should be in use. The system should thus not let me touch those specific entries. Thus I can't paste (but surely copy) those files from somewhere; but then I can't write them onto my device in recovery. Do I need to? If yes, can fastboot be used?
Are there particular files in the / folder that are device specific? Does that mean I'll have to use Terminal to change them?
Are there easier (or, depending on the gravity of the situation, existent-at-all) alternatives? Like images for every single partition (and some partitions aren't accessible to the installer I suppose. So I may have to use Terminal)? If no, can anyone provide me the files from /?
So that's it. Tell me what you think. Quick would be awesome; I'll totally do your laundry for a week.
Nevermind, problem solved. Had to reflash modem image. Didn't know such a thing existed. Phone working fine now, in fact am typing from it.

Google "modem image for Redmi Note 4 mido". Hopefully you'll come across an isolated modem image.
If not, download stock image for RN4 mido and derive the modem image.
Note that you'll have to download the fastboot flashable image, which comes in a .tar.gz kind of a format. You'll have to extract it TWICE, once from .tar.gz to .tar, then from .tar to a normal folder. Then go browse that folder. You'll come across a directory somewhere called "images". It should contain all images that get flashed on different positions. It will also contain a "scatter text", something that probably tells the computer what to flash and where. Open it and see which one gets flashed in the modem partition(s). Flash it using -
Code:
fastboot flash <modem partition codename> <modem image name>.img

Re-flash phone's Stock ROM to get rid off of all modifications you applied so far.
so just download original stock rom to my computer into the file that holds adb and fastboot and then flash it and then reboot and it should work?
You shouldn't post duplicate threads.. I noticed you already had one the same day a few hours earlier for the same thing.. You might want to read the rules before posting to avoid any issues.
@Learnitright Hello, as mentioned above, please do not make duplicate threads with same topic. All replies from other users can be on this thread.
I have merged another thread by you into this one. Thanks.
I am sorry i wasnt sure if the first one went through or not I am stuck with a slow computer isnt very good im just trying to fix my phone.. If anyone could help?
You need stock-ROM and msm-tool, sadly metro version stock-ROM might not available for public right now. You should have used
Code:
fastboot boot twrp-n200.img
instead of flash recovery.

Question In dire need of Narzo 30A (RMX3171)'s NVRAM & NVDATA

Long story short, I accidentally formatted everything while trying to flash Stock ROM using SP Flash Tool.
Now I'm having the "Download not completed" error at boot.
I tried solving it by flashing oppo_cutsom which didn't do any good, and after I took it to repairs, they told me I need the original NVRAM & NVDATA
which I can't find anywhere online (at least, not for free -_-).
Can someone please share their Narzo 30A's NVRAM & NVDATA with me?
Thanks in advance

I just managed to install PBRP recovery onto my device, and I accessed it then went straight to Fastboot option (I wanted to flash the stock ROM using realme flash tool), but my PC couldn't detect the device (not Fastboot, nor ADB) although it detects other android phones.
Anyways, since that didn't work - I tried installing PixelExperience (It worked before on my phone, so I thought it would work again but after rebooting the phone didn't even boot).
I then flashed the original dtbo.img, but there's no system,, only the recovery.
Any idea how to fix this?

Can you send fast boot mode pic to me it might help
First of all, thanks for guiding me to that group on Telegram (I found the stock recovery there, and I could flash the .ozip thanks to it) but I only managed to make it boot to the yellow RealMe logo, and now it stays there until it reboots on its own. What could I have done wrong? (I did wipe data/reset everything before starting to flash the ROM).

I have no access to fastboot,
can I use Mtkclient and erase usedata instead?
Edit:
I noticed that after flashing PBRP recovery, and choosing the fastboot option, the devices is detected in fastboot mode (via command "fastboot devices") for like 2 seconds, then it loses connection. Any idea why?
Okay I just revived the phone,
What I was missing for it to boot was the original oppo_custom image,
For those who haven't got a backup, here's the one I used to restore my phone:

Question Root redmi note 11s

As i'm not familiar with MTK devices i ask for your help.
I've try to patch the image file and flash It with standard fastboot flash boot boot.img.
The phone restart and wifi and bluetooth not works.
After 1 reboot phone can't boot. Restore with fastboot and works now.
I read a guide wich Say to flash both partitions of boot ( i wasn't aware of this before ) as boot_a and boot_b partition.
Is the right metod to patch the boot image and than flash It to both partition?
Thanks for the help
To root? You shouldn't need to flash both boot partitions to root. I'd flash everything with one of the bundled flash_all.bat scripts so you've got a clean slate to work with for your next attempts.

I've already flash It with flash_all.bat, same was done before. So even with 1 boot should work? Why have 2 different partitions? I Just don't understand that.
It's unusual to see wifi and bluetooth broken like that, it's not my First ride, i've flash and root lot and lot of phones but it's my First Time with double partitions as i mention and not so familiar with MTK devices.
Did your have sucessfully root your 2 partitions devices with Just 1 boot IMG flashed?
Have anyone sucessfully root this phone?
Can anyone post a guide for this phone?
I tried a lot without success. Any working procedure?
I'm still stuck, i haven't try to flash both a-b boot partition... I'm too scared... What have u tried?
Have you followed this? If so are you downloading the right boot.img? https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/root-poco-m4-pro-4g-fleur-using-magisk.4449193/
Can anyone help US??
