[ROM][12][UNOFFICIAL - DEPRECATED][SURYA/KARNA][OSS] Evolution-X Snow 6.0 [2021/12/28] - Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, & Ot

MUST READSome notes:- This is my initial build, intended for applying as official EvoX maintainer for surya as previous official maintainer retired from maintaining this device. Thus I'm not sure about the future of this build series but at least I will keep it security patched every month. I decided to drop maintainer application, I will maintain this ROM independently.
- I built this ROM for stable, generic using, NOT focus on gaming/better battery life or whatsoever. There have been no actual better FPS or battery life by using a specific kernel or ROM. Though if you want me to custom build this ROM for you (such as custom kernel like mainline kernel or device tree), reach me via Telegram.
- I do not offer private support, if you face any trouble just post the issue here. Or if you prefer community support, head over to this ROM's official chat on Telgram or Poco X3 users community on Telegram.
- Automatically installed Google Camera won't work, please uninstall it.
- For all ROM updates, please join this Telegram channel.
About Google Photos unlimited storageAll builds after 30 Dec. had this issue fixed! You don't have to do anything!
I don't know whether Google Photos allow to store your pictures in what quality. But do not update Google Photos app until a solution is found.
If you accidentally did it, or Google Play Store updated it, do:
1. Go to Photos' app info, tap Storage & cache, tap Manage space and tap Delete.
2. Go back to app info, tap 3 dots icon on top right corner, tap Uninstall updates, tap OK.
3. Go to Play store, search for Google Photos, tap 3 dots icon on top right corner and uncheck Enable auto update.
Development update:EvoX team still does not care about my maintainership application. Guess I'll maintain this by myself continuously then.
Many of you may concern about "UNOFFICIAL" tag but all of my builds should be far more perfect than "OFFICIAL". It's just a tag to have the ROM ability to update over OTA, nothing else or even in contrast, having "OFFICIAL" status will negatively affect development for this ROM. So yes, you can do banking without any risk with the highest security you could have nowadays and no, I do not implement any spying code because I have no such ability to do that and your data worth nothing to me. Everything I do on this ROM must be stable and secure enough, no bulls**t allowed.

WARNING:- There is no recovery that supports storage encryption yet. It will cause your phone in endless bootloop and you have to wipe and format data to save your phone. So consider not to store sensitive data on your phone yet or just not bring it outside for now.

- Google Photos: as I mentioned in Features, this rom does support Google Photos unlimited backup. But DO NOT update Google Photos app as Google is trying to patch over the community props spoofing. Turn off the auto update in Google Play and if you accidentally updated the app, just uninstall the update.
I will try to fix it whenever a new patch is available.
- Hidden gesture bar: Yes, I'm using it.

This rom is smooth and battery life is good. But when i connected my bluetooh airpod, and turn on audio book app, first time was ok but later my phone always restarted.
I came back A11 right now..

ROMs pretty solid. I have issues with gestures where sometimes ill try to home and it'll get stuck on the left side back gesture with the lil icon there.

This ROM seems to have broken mifare classic support, and right now I am checking through some stuff, but setting LEGACY_MIFARE_READER in /vendor/etc/libnfc-nci.conf to 0 (which when set to 1 fixes it in some ROMs, ironically) makes it read my bus card correctly. I am not sure of side effects and I doubt they exist, given that phone read fine my nfc tag that I set to just open browser page

been using the evolution rom of dec 27th build I think. no issues so far.
saw a new update with google photos fix. so downloading and flashing that.
but in the Sourceforge their are two more files recently uploaded with banana unsigned name are they update versions or what clarification please.

FAQ
Gapps is causing the error "Unfortunately Setup Wizard Has Stopped".
Have you read the Install Instructions? Flash gapps immediately after the ROM. That means do not reboot to system after flashing the rom and then go to recovery again and flash gapps.
How do I install this ROM with Dualboot Patcher?
Follow these instructions carefully.
1. Install DualBoot patcher apk, open the app and go to ROMs section.
2. Set the current running kernel as kernel for Primary ROM (The app will ask you to do so)
3. Download CM13 and go to "Patch zip file" section.
4. Patch the ROM (for OnePlus 2 choose "Data Slot"). (ID: insert anything like cm13. It doesn't matter though)
a) Primary ROM upgrade (You can patch zip for Primary ROM if you want to flash primary and don't destroy second system.
b) Secondary (Not usable due to small System partition)
c) Multislot1, 2 , 3 - (Not usable because /cache partition is too small).
d) Data slot - Use this!
e) Extsd slot - (Not usable)
5. Flash patched ROM with TWRP.
6. Reboot
You second system should start.
How to switch between ROMs:
1. Both ROMs need DualBoot patcher installed, in "ROMs" section you should see ROMs list.
2. To switch the ROM simply go to TWRP.
3. Click Install.
4. Click Image option (Bottom Right Corner)
5. Go to /sdcard/Multiboot/<your rom name>
6. Select boot.img
7. Click boot partition.
8. Flash and reboot.
9. Other ROM will start!
Gapps cause cm13 to bootloop.
Yes for now this problem has not been solved. We will look into this later.
Login with Google does not work in some apps.
Sometimes, on a fresh wipe, the phone language will be set to an invalid language. Changing it to a valid one from Settings should fix the issue.
Battery Statistics shows that Wi-Fi is always on even though I've turned it off.
If you are using "scanning always available" in Advanced Wi-Fi Settings, then Wi-Fi will always be on to scan for available network to aid location discovery.
How do I enable root?
Root is now disabled by default in CM. To enable root, first enable developer options. Then enable it in Settings -> Developer Options -> Root access.
Can you include Feature X into your ROM?
No. This ROM will have CyanogenMod's feature set.
Can you include Cyanogen OS's apps?
No. Cyanogen OS's proprietary apps are not a part of the open-source CyanogenMod. You can, however, download C-Apps directly from Cyngyn and install it.
Can you include call recording?
No. The open-source version of CyanogenMod does not include call recording to avoid potential legal issues.
What kernel does this ROM use?
A slightly modified version of the stock kernel, the source code is linked above.
Can I use your ROM as a base?

Most of Android/CyanogenMod is licensed under the Apache License with other small parts licensed under other open-source licenses. Which means that you may modify and redistribute without asking for permission as long as the proper credits is given and it is not misappropriated as being the official CyanogenMod. (In other words, you must say that it is based on regalstreak's unofficial CyanogenMod, but is not related to CyanogenMod in any other way. Also, please mention the credits that have been mentioned in OP as they have worked too hard to get this ROM too.)
Can contacts be saved to phone/SIM?
No. It is not supported in AOSP-based ROMs.
Can I send files over Wi-Fi Direct?
Yes, but you must use third-party applications. The implementation provided on Samsung ROMs is not an open standard. AOSP/CM does not provide a native way to send files over Wi-Fi Direct.
Can I mirror your ROM?
You're free to. But if you ask me to mention your mirror here, I don't know if i will do so.
Will feature X from a previous version of CM be implemented?
I don't know, probably will be, eventually. I don't really involve myself in the feature-set side of CM.

Although no data should be lost or damaged by the flashing process,

Please take a full nandroid backup!
Please copy your back up to an external device.
Backing up your Internal Storage is also recommended.

Although you usually can dirty flash halogenOS over other ROMs, considering the other

You don't need to wipe Cache/Dalvik.
You don't need to flash gapps again. There is some magic going on which keeps your GApps. Just make sure that you don't wipe system before flashing.

Camera already worked in permissive, but had problems in enforcing. Could you take a look for the next build?
Also the text don't in the upper bar, when it displays the context of an SMS, is somewhat too big when the screen display size is set to smallest, could this be somewhat smaller? Reboot fixed it
hdr crashes with default camera, bacon camera seems to work fine

HDR works for me ..just enable AutoHDR in setting for both front and back camera before using it simple.
Just clear data of the camera and do the above setting.
"Though its crashing without enabling autoHDR"

Absolutely best nougat ROM for me. Plz keep updating until you made this one for Android Oreo

Very nice rom love it i like near stock roms but have strayed with n roms due to camera. Great camera except the flash doesn't work right see pics the bright one was taken with google camera other pic with stock camera. When you touch screen to focus flash lights up the object like in the google cam pic but when it takes the pic the flash is so dim it doesnt really work.
What would be the best camera app to use to get full benefits of the camera blobs? Bacon camera?

Rom is fluid and responsive as compared to other caf roms. Keep updating because some of developers just creating lots of roms And neglecting there updates specially sutenized CAF roms...

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE:
Have an unlocked bootloader, and custom recovery installed/booted
(Not gonna be explained here, there'll be threads in this forum somewhere)
Reboot to recovery (Recommended recovery listed in downloads section)
Make sure your device is with Pie Firmware (Don't report issues using realmeUI firmware)
Flash ROM zip, VoLTE FIX & Gapps if flashing non-GApps build (Download Gapps from downloads section)
Format data (don't report anything bugs if you dirty flashed over another ROM)
Reboot into the system.

* DC dimming (flicker free feature). check Settings -> Realme Settings
* Game mode (touch boost). check Settings -> Realme Settings
* Toggle for display hz (auto, forced 90hz). check Settings -> Realme Settings

* You have no idea how many patches this unofficial DU includes, seriously you don't want to know all of them. Lets just say it's made to run almost perfectly like any other rom in X2 Pro.
NOTES:
* Initially this build was released in X2 Pro Telegram group, later I have decided to post here too since many custom rom users are in XDA only
* Flash colorOS if your device is having realmeUI, same applies to VoLTE, you don't have to flash VoLTE zip everytime you flash new rom. Don't report bugs if using realme UI FW & it's vendor.
* Don't flash Magisk 20.4.
Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
Include your firmware versions in reports.
Mention any and all Magisk modules you might be using along with the Magisk version
If it is a random reboot, grab dmesg . (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.

Anyway, is there are any way to turn up the maximum bluetooth volume? Probably the mixer path for the volume? My bluetooth volume seems to small compared to stock.

I have flashed Pie Firmware & Vendor from TWRP, to be able to install the rom, but now the device only starts in recovery. How should I install it? ( I came from Realme UI and before i made wd/fr) Thank you!

your date is encrypted and tvrp in theory now does not even see it. It is necessary to establish the color of wasps and ozip through tvrp. Then from the fastboot to flash the stock of recovery and vbmeta from the color in the subject, I debugged it. Make fastboot format userdata then go to the stock recovery and make the format there. And boot stock color

All fixes were in latest AOSiP build, I just delayed DU update with May security patch thinking no one is using it. Maybe I should release one build with May security patch & with fixes too.

This happens when you charge offline ? anyways I will look into it, I have few things to try in mind & regarding Google Assistant, I have disabled it I will release new update with few fixes & will also enable Google Assistant.

To be honest I don't notice a single difference between DU and AOSiP, except the boot animation... ?

haha yeah both have minimal customization, tbh DU doesn't have many inbuilt apps & few other little issues I guess this is my derp. I will soon release new update.

Hello, ROM is good, but I have found some minuses:
1 - APTX and Aptx HD isn't working.
2 - "Ancient Features", OTA Manager are not translated on Russian language.
3 - OTA manager says that I am not connected to the internet, but I've done it.
4 - Bug with automatic brightness icon in quick settings. When you turn it on, brightness icon in quick settings starts to jump.
5 - NFC isn't active.
6 - Smart Charging isn't working.

This ROM is very stable, and it is the first China Telecom volte I have encountered in such a long time that works perfectly. After one day of use, I don't seem to have encountered a bug. All the functions that I commonly use can work normally, thank you for your efforts.

I found a strange bug. As a Chinese user, Tencent QQ is our commonly used instant messaging application. QQ has a phone function. When I use QQ for voice chat, whether I am the calling party or the called party, the system will crash and restart at the moment of connection. However, if you use a Bluetooth headset to connect, you will not have this problem. If you need, I can upload the log for you.

okey well i had flashed that file and tested my self new builds will be uploaded by 6pm according to IST time zone and also the post will update so enjoy well the one you flashed was pretty old build now has builds are upgrade i have included vendor in zip its self so there is no need to flash vendor zip on my new builds enjou

Yeah I have made 4 builds available which are divided in 2-2 section one kernels 2 build
So the system goes like this 1) civilization you get 2 options based on kernels same hose with weeaboo

Weeaboo has Little different UI i think this version is perfect for anime lovers and civilization is just a normal which you have tried I think so weeaboo little different

Hows the battery life on this compared to the stock rom?

Tried NGK kernel but everytime it went into A bootloop, any way to install NGK kernel? And yeah face unlock is missing although the camera IR app is working perfectly fine, which means IR camera support is there but the feature is not implemented in the ROM, smooth UI and transitions, Dead Cells lagged 15% more compared to NGK + PE plus ROM A12. It's a great ROM for daily use, kudos to the work. And yeah I think there is some Background app management issue, because Dead Cells download some data files when opening for the first time, as I put my phone down during all this, the download stopped and never again continued, had to reinstall from playstore, maybe a Lil aggressive ram management in A13. Edit - Magisk normal version works, multitasking while listening to music causes glitch and lag in the audio output, looks like cpu is under pressure.

NGK doesn't support system_ext roms yet. Only SilverCore and Rockstar kernels support system_ext atm.
Keep in mind A13 for our device it's in early stage and the updates will make it more polished and bug free over the time.
Beryllium got fast the Android 13, thanks to devs.

Minutes ofcourse

Flashed the Rom with the latest official recovery. The build was working fine but after 1 hour the storage could not be accessed. I tried different file explorers. None of them worked. Some crashed. The storage did not even show up on the laptop. Tried a lot of ways but it was a failure. Reverted back to A12. The stock camera app was crashing and did not even open once. I had to install a different mod of gcam to get it work. the traffic monitor was not there. After reverting back the A12 had some sort of glitch that kept swiping my screen back to home. Now had to flash Cdroid inorder to get my things done. I know it was beta but storage was something of a basic thing . The network did not show up on the first boot of this ROM. I had to reboot it to get it work. The wifi kept searching for open wifis despite of turning that feature off. I couldn't take logs since I did this in the middle of my work and everything got messed up. But please if anyone faced the same issues I faced please get a logcat. I respect the devs work but has a lot of bugs. Indeed Beta.

It's been 2 years since I flashed a rom. Been busy with work. Couldn't catch up the updates. Anyway will reflash the recovery and try it again.

Thank you for bringing A13 to our phone.
