Custom ROMS and VoWifi/VoLTE - Samsung Galaxy A20 ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, & Ot

Would like to flash my stock rom but have read I will lose VoWIFI and VoLTE if I do so. Is this true? I am looking at Arrow OS or lineage OS.
Happy for other ROM suggests too but VoWIFI is essential for me.

Is "Wiko Geek" the door to Wiko custom ROMs?

Hi everyone!
First of all sorry for my English, I'm not a native speaker but I'll try my best!
I currently own a Wiko uFeel Lite smartphone, which is pretty good for me and my needs, but for the moment it's in Marshmallow (nothing bad, it's just that the world already have Oreo and at least i'd like to have Nougat).
I've been doing some research lately because I know there are a lot of communities of Android development arround the world, and I thought that some of them maybe knew something about this phone's development. I found that there is a TWRP (with some bugs) recovery and a method of rooting with SuperSU. That's really good, and I'm thankful for that, but I kept researching because I wanted some juicy ROMs or similar.
After reading the "Legal" options in the "Information" section of the phone config, I found that Wiko has a web called "Wiko Geek", where the developers post which seems to be the kernel of each released phone.
So, here is finally my question! With that kernel source (used in the actual version of the phone), are developers able to create custom ROMs like Lineage ones (Marshmallow, Nougat, etc) for this or other models?
Thank you for your help and have a good day!

VoLTE in Lineage OS ?

Hello everyone,
I've been using Yunique for almost 2 years now and very satisfied with the development got going for it.
Lineage OS is one of the best customs out there. But the official builds never support VoLTE out of the box. Can anyone tell me why they don't include that piece of software?? Most custom roms have VoLTE integration and also in Unofficial builds of LOS. Not that I'm complaining but I'm curious to know why.:silly:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/ro...-14.1-20180425-UNOFFICIAL-jalebi.zip/download
Lineage (volte) latest use it with casium 1.7
I too have a same problem. I tend to write a feedback to lineage os team even nothing works.
Is there any alternate way to get volte fix on official lineage os builds?
let me guess
official lineage-os support the old non-volte stock rom. yu sent the volte upgrade later by ota updates, I think volte in roms need these implantation in stock rom, this can be the reason, post reply if someone has more info

VoLTE with custom roms

Would someone knowledgeable on rom development please be kind enough to explain why VoLTE is not yet supported in most custom roms? It's quite a frustrating issue for those of us that require VoLTE for various reasons. Why is VoLTE missing from custom Verizon capable roms? I personally own the SM-N910V Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and HD Voice does work with a couple Samsung TW based roms, but that means being stuck on 6.0.1. No Nougat or Oreo. So frustrating! Thanks.

I don't have this device and I do understand your question but, this is not the case for all Devices vs Custom Firmwares.
Sometimes there's hurdles to overcome when it comes to one or more features with Custom Firmware Developments. It just happens that the VoLTE is one of them specific to your device.
You may be able to obtain some device specific feedback within one of the following threads from those who also has Custom Firmware and/or experience with them both in general.

I DO NOT provide support via PM unless asked/requested by myself. PLEASE keep it in the threads where everyone can share.

Vote for the rom you think has the best performance and closest to stock android!

I'm running on Pixel Experience right now mainly because Lineage OS is registering my device as rooted although I do everything to remove magisk etc etc. Therefore I can't use Lineage OS but surprisingly Pixel Experience is fine with bank apps. And please don't tell me to use magisk hide, it's useless. It works at time and sometime it doesn't. What is your preferred ROM and Kernel?

[H933] AOSP ROM support (9.0)

Hey there, I just wanted to know if there is any development or a guide available for flashing an AOSP rom for the H933 running android 9.0 (rooted+twrp).
The last news I've heard regarding this topic is something along the lines of, It cannot be done as the partitions are completely messed up now for those who upgraded to 9.0. I just want to know if that is where we still stand or if there is any development regarding this issue.
I know that the answer is probably in a thread somewhere in this form, and believe me, I have checked most of the relevant threads/posts and I have reached the conclusion that it is either buried deep in the archives somewhere or that no new development has been made regarding this issue. I made this thread to confirm my conclusions and help other H933 owners with the same question.
Cheers.

There's a dedicated thread to prepping your H933 for AOSP ROMs. Mentioned in the ROOT Sticky Guide.
Answered 100 times before. No need to start new thread. Just search better?
See screenshot for easy Google search. See first result.
That procedure is still how H933 can run any LOS-based ROM.
* For LOS-16 ROMs (more stable, less bugs) you need to be back on LG stock Oreo firmware (with TWRP) first. We just got a new LOS-16 ROM last week.
* For LOS-17 (Android 10) ROMs (more bugs) you need to be on LG stock Pie firmware (with TWRP) first.
Know the LOS-17 bugs first, so you don't complain. See LOS-16 and LOS-17 bugs list here, posts #2 and #3:

Sounds good thanks. Yeah, I should've clarified that I was searching for a way to just directly flash an AOSP rom from stock android 9.0 instead of downgrading to Oreo first. I really dont even want to look at LG up after going through the process that you and a few other amazing contributors here found to upgrade to Pie. Looks like I'll be sticking with the stock ROM for now.

If there was a way known to do that, it would be included in the guide.
Probably best to wait for newer aosp 10 ROMs to get updated(a lot ot fixes coming soon) if you don't want to go through hassle of going back to oreo.
