Question Android Auto - Oppo Find N

Has anyone managed to get Android Auto working? I've tried all sorts of USB cables, including the one that came with the phone. I also have an Android Auto Wireless dongle and that doesn't work either.

I am hoping I don't have any issue when my arrives. Did you get it to work at all for any amount of time?
I use Android Auto all the time, that would be a deal breaker for me!

i was not able to use android auto…

For Android Auto, any solution ? I use Eyeride 2 with my moto and i need it work !!!

Android Auto doesn't seem to be working. I even turned on the USB File Sharing/Android Auto option in the developer menu. When I connect to my car, It says "Communication error 22 - Android Auto didnt come pre-installed with this operating system". Looks like we'll need to wait for the global rom.

I dont mean to ask a silly question such as this but any chance there is an AA APK that can be installed to see if that works???

I was able to install the AA app from the Playstore without the need to sideload. No harm in trying a side load, I have very little hope though.

So just an update to my post. Side loading android auto doesn't work either. Instead of throwing an Error 22, the phone just doesn't get recognized by my car.

I tried the same thinig and got the same result. If I side loaded too old a version, it forced me to upgrade. I've read a bit about this being an issue that was introduced into Chinese roms with Android 11, and some of the posts seemed to indicate it is a Android Auto development team problem; so it might be solved if/when the Find N gets upgraded to Android 12 as some of the other Oppo phones seem to be already on Android 12.

The one plus car app doesnt work with m'y Android head unit

JXD P1000 (previous P700). Can I root it?

Hello.
I have bought a JXD P1000 by eBay.
It works perfectly, but I can't associate my gmail account and no I have not access to the official google play.
I have read that I can solve it changing some parameters in ES Explorer (r-r-r), but I can do it ONLY if my device is root.
Is there any way to root it? does anyone have this device?
Thanks for any help.
I just purchased the jxd p1000 too. If i have this problem too i would like to know as well.

Hey how is the device? How is the wifi speeds? I had a lesser known brand that over all worked pretty good but the wifi speeds were horrible. Download speeds capped at around .25 mbps! Not even close to 1mbps. Uploads were about double that. I hope its not the same with this one. Do you use a sim card on it?

I have the same issues apparently it is an issue with google's not being allowed in china. I have to say that although this device choice was done with great evaluation after seeing all the specification i quite fell in love with the item. so i called the sellers including pandawill, umitablets and another web seller which escape me at the time of this writings. And being from the US i Specifically asked would google would be implemented and i was told google play was already pre-configured and that is where i was sold and also where i was suckered. so let me tell you having bought the bloody thing i sought help first with the nearby stores and as soon as i mentionned the device and where it was purchased .... I got sorry but you know it's the chinese so i decided let me go to the nearest chinese community and i specifically said chinese simplified Han to be exact and you wouldn't believe what came out of their mouth .... CHINESE Sooorrryy ... I ssmmmhhh and said about finding my own solutions after all how hard it would be ... wowowowo little did I know when they say google play store they are misleading you their version of google play is the old android market ... so not being a quitter i decided research would help me get to the bottom of this so i webly disected the phone the IC manufacturer Mediatek .... No SuPPort the devices on google listed devices that being read the closest match to my device are phone lenovo P700 and A2105, A2107 and A2109 and off all these am not sure cause LEnovo won't support it as well so one look at google also states that they do not support it so the only way i see me get it around it is by changing the internal files so that the phone or google thinks that i'm one of the approved listed device funnily enough i can get apps off amazon and it recognizes it as Android JXD P1000 and Yantex as well but you need to stop speaking chinese and go into russian. Btw another issue you will have is getting the drivers that would allow you to work with your PC. I did find it but now I am scared to root cause i don't know how to do it and afraid to have a 200 dollar brick. So lesson learned i give myself less than 3 months to get it straight otherwise i will leave with its shortcomings but i will definitely champion never EVER EVER buy chinese devices cause #1 misleading #2 support non-existing #3 not worth its weight especially when their own countrymen is telling me sorry its chinese ... that is when i totally felt like an idiot ... so unless you hear me fix that issue please stay away from that device cause until they fix my issues i will warn everyone to stay far from it. I will eventually place all our correspondance on a website sometime real soon .... ttyl if you need to interact it i can get you the drivers for your pc what the hell we are in the same boat ... but anything else still looking ... it's not right goddamn misleading ....

Do not worry, we have a solution!!
Finally I entered the JXD website and I downloaded the latest firmware for the device.
Inside the file are the instructions to update the tablet and drivers to connect to the pc, but I did not work for me these drivers, so I had to look for other drivers on the Internet (I have no permissions to paste links, I have very few messages in this forum)
I hope this can help you. At least my JXD P1000 is already running at 100% with all Google applications.
Good luck!!

I just followed the steps in the downloaded file (word document). It's very simple. Sure is better explained that if I try to explain, because my English is not good and it is possible that I confuse someone.
Only one possible problem ... If your pc does not detect the tablet with the drivers provided by JXD, then as I said, you have to look on the internet: Simply search on google "mt65xx android phone drivers"

hello,
I am a beginner, I do not speak very good English,
I can not configure my tablet JXD P1000,
I try to download the firmware, JXD English, but I can not do
how to install the play store on my tablet or switch to root mode, Please
I also have bought a JXD P1000 in Vietnam. It looks working almost perferctly except GPS.
Problem I had in using GPS is, the satellites are caught but the present location won't be fixed forever.
So google map doesn't show exactly where I am, and it's useless at this moment.
I found similar problems in tablets using MTK6877(?) posted in other bbs. MTK6877 is said to be a brother cpu to this MTK8377.
The solution introduced in that BBS was to put a file named GPS.prop(?) into under /system folder. But it needs root.
So, what I want to say is, are there anybody facing a similar GPS problem?
Or other help or suggestions are appreciated.

I changed the setting to always stay on but it keep breaking. The symbol is on but no internet connection is going through until i turn off wifi and turn it back on. So far i notice it when i leave it alone for a while, not instantly. I havent done the update yet and hopefully that fixes this problem but if it doesn't, anybody has any ideas. Im also trying a wifi lock app but doesnt seem to be working.

As for me, I didn't realize that wifi problem with JXD. It might be because of using power saving apps.
And how did you get the gps to work?

Well i havent downloaded any power saving apps. Well now the gps is spotty. It was working fine for a while but suddenly stopped. I used the gps status and tools app (i think thats how it is called). Also messed with the native gps settings. The wifi problem im having also happens when im using it as well. So basically at any moment it can happen. Very annoying.

Possible reason:1. If you use UART1 to download DA, please make sure that you have selected the correct UART1 COM port first!2. USB driver is abnormal, please restore them, and then try again.

I got the upgrade done yesterday. What i did is first connect the tablet to the computer, for the first time, and have it automatically install the drivers, once successful, i chose to install the ones provided in the upgrade file in the jxd website. I got an error saying it wasnt installed proerly on one of them but when i reconnected the tab it connected fine. So i decided to go on with the upgrade process from the word doc in the zip file. Pretty simple like the other person said on this thread, though i did try like 2-3 times before it began. Once it started was smooth sailing. The upgrade made the tab better. Gapps work fine, except i cant install google shopper for some reason. Everything else is pretty stock android with all the google services working. I have yet to see if the upgrade restores gps, so when i do test it out pretty well they ill give my results.
Update on my wifi problem: it seems it is only happening on my portable hotspot only. While on my home wifi it is solid good. When im out and about, it keeps disconnecting from my personal hotspot. Any ideas why that would be?

JXD P1000 - Purchased from Pandawill.com
Hello!
I am having same issues with Google Play, can't sync with or install Gmail. I was able to load the .apk file for Google Play but it fails to launch. Google maps and navigation will not work, and device is unable to determine my location. I was able to find .apk files on the net for Mozilla and Facebook and have those working, but I really need access to Google Play Store.
I was able to download the PC drivers from the JXD website, and now my Windows 7 PC will detect the device.
I tried to update the firmware from the JXD site but says that one of the files is not compatible.
Customer service at Pandawill is unable to resolve the situation and will not authorize a refund.
Is there a way to root this device or install any Google apps?
Mant thanks!

I cant say why it is not happening right but for you but i can briefly say what i did. I started by downloading the upgrade from the website. I then connected the tablet to the computer and let the system automatically install the drivers. After the sucessful notice i extracted the zip file i downloaded off the website. I installed the drivers from the file. Both driver folders. Both of them had an error after installing them but windows asked if i wanted to reinstall them (or fix the install) using there recommended method. I chose yes for both. Let it finish and whatever the result i closed it and continued ( dont remember if it came out ok or an error again). With all the errors in the beginning of installing the drivers in the folders i check to see if the computer would still recognize the device and surely it still did. Now i went in follow the instruction from the word document in upgrade section. One thing you will have to do i extract another file from within the folders. Its the same on that the instructions says to chose in the program, one of the first steps. Look for it and extract it or else you wont be able to choose it in the program itself. I had problems in the step where you had to turn off the device and connect the device to the computer via usb so the program can detect it. It didnt ork the first time, nor the second time when i disconnectednitnand reconnected it. i closed the program and restarted it. This time it detected it and i just continued as the instructions said. All came out fine with all of Google's services working including play store. Its full fledged tablet now and better then when i first recieved it.
I was having trouble with wifi connection ( internet connection) not sticking with my hotspot only but i think i got a way for it to work. I read that some tablets have similar problems. They were able to fix it by using a static ip instead of the dynamic one. I tried different ones until i found one that stuck. Now it stays connected all day. Its still under testing to see if it is a complete solution or temp fix. Though im liking the results. You with have to check the router settings to see the range of ip's it uses and just chose different one from in there. Thats the only thing i changed. Hope any of this helps as of right now there is no known root method's.

I purchased an AT&T sim card from Straight Talk to use with the JXD P1000. I am able to make phone calls and send/receive text messages, however, the data is extremely slow. Looks like I am only getting 2G speeds as the indicator light shows "E" for Edge.
Does anyone know of any settings to speed up the data? The device works great when connected to Wi-Fi, but I was hoping to use the sim card for data when Wi-Fi is not available.
Many Thanks!

[Q] Two general questions about tablets

Hello, I'm thinking of buying a tablet off FocalPrice for $73 and there are two different models I'm thinking of;
B700 7" Android 4.1.1 or GD IPPO M7 7" Android 4.2.2
Now my questions are;
1) If I try the Google store to download apps and the tablet is not compatable, can you please post the link I need to Root it?
2) Do I need to Root it to allow me to download and install apps on my own?
Thank you

Ok, well instead of rooting, do you guys have a list of some good Third Party App stors that I can download from and then Sideload them to my tablet?

1) If the tablet is not compatible with an App, you can download the.apk file from any other source and run it to the point that your device is capable of doing so. For instance, Play Store displayed Whatsapp as incompatible on a Samsung Galaxy Star. I downloaded the .apk from the Whatsapp website and installed it and its working fine.
2) No, you dont need to root to install apps of your own, you just need to enable installing .apk's other than those from play store from the Android Settings. However, there are some apps that will require Root to function, but these apps are usually advanced functions.

You only need to download the apk file, copy to your device (internal or external memory, it doesn't mater) and install it using any file explorer (surely your device will come with a file explorer preinstalled). That's it.
The best deivce you have listed from them is the 2nd one due to the fact that it is running the latest version of android. You don't need root to install most apps and games but you might sometimes come across apps that need root to do specific tasks.
Thanks guys.
I did order the GD IPPO M7 7" Android 4.2.2, got it yesterday and is Google Play compatible
Now maybe I should open a new thread but had a question about 3DVplayer.
My tablet says it supports screen scale adjustment between 4:3 & 16:9 and 2D & 3D but when I play a 3D movie I just get the two screens side by side. Is there a trick in getting 3D to work properly?
Thanks
I have the same exact tablet. All was working fine until today, when the word "DEMO" appeared in bright red in the bottom left hand corner of the screen. Went into recovery mode and did a factory reset, but it is still there. Anyone know how to get rid of it?

I don't know about yours but I also bought a Chinese tablet. The specs stated that Bluetooth N/A and there were no Bluetooth settings in the settings but I downloaded a Bluetooth File Transfer software from Play and was shocked to find out that my tab actually had Bluetooth! I could transfer files but haven't checked a headset. I can turn it on from any Bluetooth switch widget

Fitbit app

My wife gave me a Fitbit for Christmas (Apparently, she wants me to get off my butt more and move around!)
The Fitbit is a small wearable device that measures your activity level, etc. The Fitbit app uses Bluetooth 4.0 to sync with the device. The sync function is working with my Samsung Galaxy S3 phone, which is setup with a custom ROM. The app does not sync on the G Pad using stock firmware.
According to the specs I see, the G Pad is supposed to have support for BT 4.0. I don't have any other devices that use it.
Does anybody here have a Fitbit device? I'm curious to know if anybody has tried to sync one on a G Pad with different firmware. Or on a GPE device. It might be that it would work on a 4.3 or 4.4 ROM.
I have a GPE and the app syncs fine with my Flex. I did, however, participate in the Fitbit beta program when they were testing for devices other than the Galaxy series (namely Nexus and Motorola devices with BT 4.0). My Fitbit app is version 1.8.4 if that helps. Here's the link to the beta program: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1ZVjMd9JsDyo45g7uUV60clx7D780ouDka-wgNwvqxmA/viewform
Yes, I was playing with my new fitbit all day yesterday and unless you have one of their devices that is currently known to be compatible you have to be signed up for the Beta program. I am currently running android 4.4 with the cyanogenmod.
I signed up for the Beta by joining the google group here: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/fitbit-android-sync-beta
Which allows you to go to: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.fitbit.FitbitMobile
Where you click become a tester. You then need to uninstall the fitbit app, clear the cache for the google play store (I used Clean Master to do this), and reinstall the fitbit app. You will now have the beta version of the app and when you login it will automatically find and start syncing to your fitbit. Note that by default the background syncing is turned off. If you want to be able to do this you have to enable it under devices.
Indeed LG gpad Hardware supports bt4. You need 4.3+ Android for bt4. I tried it with cm and it works.
If you want stock experience, then you have to wait for the Kitkat release.
Forgot to add : I tried it with a polar h7 bt4 heart rate monitor. Works great.
Not necessarily true regarding needing 4.3. They do support the LG G2 which is still on 4.2 stock. Im using it with mine and it syncs fine to the G2. I've never tried syncing to my G Pad tho

Good to know. I might check the fitbit after all.
Unfortunately the polar h7 doesn't want to pair with my Stock LG g2. It is after 4.3 that Android provides platform support to bt4. The solution that LG and Samsung used in the lower api levels apparently doesn't pay nice with all hardware.

Correct. The Fitbit app syncs on my Galaxy S3, which is using a custom rom running Android 4.1.2. That version doesn't support Bluetooth 4.0., so I think they must have it working with Bluetooth 3 on some devices.

I have an LG Lucid 2 running 4.1.2 on a custom rom and while the tech specs say it has bluetooth 4.0 I can't get it to sync. It doesn't even look like the beta version is installing at all but I don't know how to tell for sure.

Looks to me like the app checks to see what device it's installed on and the sync features are only enabled for certain devices. On the G Pad, I can check my my dashboard, etc., but I can't sync or interact with the tracker. On the S3, the app lets me sync and do other things.
I've no way of trying this myself but to you guys who say that you should have support for BT4.0, you could try and trick the device that will not sync. Go into the build.prop and take the ro buildnumber and name and so on and change them to the same of a device that you are certain it works with. If the the Fitbit is checking up against a buildnumber or model number, chances are it's from the build.prop. And could be funny if you could actually trick it just by making your phone into something else. ^^ (That is if BT4 is supported as said.)

That's a really good idea. I have double and triple checked the specs for my phone and it does say Bluetooth 4.0. I think I'll try this since it worked for me tricking QPair into thinking my gpad was a v510. Thanks!

Hmm, trying to edit build.prop on my phone does not seem to be working. Neither ES File Explorer, nor 920 Text Editor, are able to edit/rename/save anything to build.prop or in /system. It says is a read only file system.

Ah, rule number one of flashing KitKat: When done go to play store and get supersu, run it and let it update the binary. Choose normal, not CWM\TWPR. Let it finish the install, takes10 secs or so. Restart and tadaa root. It has to be done on all devices for now. Go into supersu after reboot and find Settings and then untick "Respect CM superuser bleh bleh."
Good luck.

My phone is running a custom 4.1.2 Rom called Lucidian. Would this still apply to that? I have superuser already working on it. And on my gpad running 4.4.2 cm11 I didn't have to do that to get root.

And you have tried build.prop and it worked on your G Pad with CM 11? Funny, I had to do it on two different devices and just assumed I would have to on the G Pad as well. Now 4.1 i don't recall had any root issues, beats me why you can't edit the system on that one. Anyways, sounds like an incomplete root, like what happened in ICS 4.0 on the first Galaxy Note. Gave root but didn't do it for the full system..

Question PC mode on Pad 5 pro

If you aren't using PC mode on your pad 5 pro then you aren't using your tablet to its full potential.
Turn off your MIUI optimization and sideload the apk and give it a test.
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/xiaomi-inc/pc-launcher/pc-launcher-12-1-204-6-release/
Only this version above works on this tablet.
I would be lost without it. its like having multiple phones screens open at one time. Everything runs and you can even select what app the sound comes from.
More windows running doesn't seem to slow it down but the battery does drain faster obviously.
It's truly a PC experience.
Thanks for introducing this great tool! Using it right now to type this reply! Also the newest version of PC mode on APKMirror works as well - not sure if there is any siginificant improvements though: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/xiaomi-inc/pc-launcher/pc-launcher-12-1-208-5-release/
Question - Is there anyway we can drag the icons from start menu to desktop? Would be quite helpful if I can drag my favourite programs to the desktop rather than a bunch of Xiaomi stuff. It seems anything I installed after installing the PC mode shows up on the desktop immediately but not anything before.

Hi. Glad you enjoy the pad 5 pro as it should be from Xiaomi.
You can hold the icon in the start menu and it will give the option to pin taskbar and homescreen but you can't drag it.
Hope that helps.
I seem to have trouble with second space, when running the app in second space, an error message appears:
"Split screen isn't supported in PC Mode"

Some apps support split screen in MIUI mode. That doesn't carry over into PC mode.
Just switch back to normal MIUi tablet mode and split screen will work with that app.
Hi, I'm actually talking about the PC Mode app, everything else is closed and when I try to run it in my second space, that's the error I get and it closes automatically.
In my first space I can run it however and it opens correctly
Guys am facing this problem on miui 13 with Android 12, anyone have any idea to fix it??
Desktop mode (PC MODE) do NOT work with Android 12 Miui 13 update. May be discontinued or have to be updated. I use Mix Fold and I get the same issue.

Yes it's a big issue. I barely use my pad 5 pro since last weeks update. I used it everyday.
I'm sure they will update it. Go spam https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/xiaomi-inc/pc-launcher/pc-launcher-12-1-208-5-release/

If you look at the comments on APKMirror everybody have this issue and ask for fix... in same time I saw on chinese Xiaomi mix Fold forum that a Xiaomi tech guy said this apps is discontinued ... I don't know if this is true or not I just can say that its very strange to put a big Android Update with an issue to this major apps. Wait and See (and Pray for us if you're religious lol)

Works ok but I can't minimize windows /apps and run many on the desktop like I could with PC mode.
It's Fullscreen I could fit 3 apps on the screen at one time.

wait for any pc mode xiaomi update.. use this one as is or delete it.. it work well for me with a mi mix fold
Truth is.... I'm barely using the pad 5 pro since the PC mode wasn't updated. It's lost it's productivity..
It's no better than an Apple ipad now.

Hey mate, just wondering if you got this working or found another app. Was considering buying the pad 5 pro just for PC mode. Or maybe the solution is to keep the old miui 12
